Just like I say to every similar forum like this, it's gonna be fixed soon. They're working on it relax.
I wonder why everyone is so convinced that the new matchmaking will fix everything. Nobody knows anything about it and if it will work. I hope you're right, but I must confess that I'm a little bit sceptical π.

I'm sorry for that π’. I saw the same 3 days ago on PS4. We also got a rang 17 killer.

I'll see if it happens again and save the video. The last killer it happened with was Freddy.
Borrowed Time does not work, if the unhooking survivor is dreaming. You must be in the killer's terror radius. If you asleep, you won't hear it.

I Mean seriously I solo queue at rank 1 and get 3 rank 20s against a rank 20 can you imagine how frustrating that is? Its annoying how can i be getting ranks like that SOLO!!!!!! it does not make ANY sense at all. FIIX IT!!!!
I'm pretty sure no fix will come with the new chapter π’

its Very very apparent that SWF was changed back to go off of the lowest survivor instead of the highest and friends are using that to abuse killers again
Yes, it looks like it was reverted. If this was on purpose it was a really bad decision. I play both roles and have no problem to play against a strong killer, because I still can do some objectives, try looping and so on. But if I play killer and I'm not able to kill at least 1 survivor with nearly fair conditions, the role feels total wrong. The killer must be the power role. Most of the time it feels more like 1 cute Killer trys to survive a match against 4 evil survivors.

No comment...unbelievable

I remember some months ago they changed something about the matchmaking. The killer should be matched against the highest rank (+ 6 ranks I think) . I'm pretty sure it worked well until the next patch came out. It feels like some rolled back the changes and nobody noticed it. I can't understand why it takes so long to change something. It couldn't be much worse. So every fix will be better. Today I was short before removing the game again for a few months. If others feel the same it's not surprising that it takes longer to find killers for a match.

Hm, really afraid of no one. But a mirror Meyers on Hawkins was really really cool. I knew he could come from everywhere and my cam was flipping around with lightspeed. And you don't know, if he is already watching you π§, so exciting.
-
LooooL, really, π€¬. Invert the algorithm for matchmaking please.
-
That was my really enjoyable evening... I got one kill during the endgame, because they tried to rescue each other. And obviously this is a SWF, which doesn't make the game easier...
-
Hag has a small terror radius, that's why nurse calling works well. Combined with Monitor & Abuse you can prepare an ambush. Sloppy Butcher increase the time for healing,. That means you have more time to benefit from nurse calling. The 4th perk for me would be Corrupt Intervention to buy some time for placing some traps. If you really need Bloodpoints I would replace Monitor & Abuse with it. So my build would be:
Monitor & Abuse, Nurse Calling, Sloppy Butcher, Corrupt Intervention
Or
BBQ, Nurse Calling, Sloppy Butcher, Corrupt Intervention

All us fans want the DEVs to do something about facecamping as it is unfair. But the DEVs dont listen because they are greedy, Money-grabbing people. Why can't they just balance the game instead of ruining survivors? Let's ask the DEVs and we will see because these people can't get away with this. They Lie! #Removefacecamping
Just a real question for my interest. When do you think the game is balanced? What must be the result on the endscreen? What does you make feel it is balanced? I mean, if you say it's unbalanced it must differ from your opinion on a balanced match. So, when is it balanced π€?

The strangest matchmaking I had today was me (purple rank six) matched with three red rank 1 survivors against a red rank 1 Legion. The rank 1 legion downed all three of the rank 1 survivors within the first 5 minutes of the game. I was just sitting there like "uh oh..."
I would say in this case the assigned killer rank is absolutly ok. It's a little bit strange that you were matched with 3 rank 1, but perhaps there were no other players. But I think it should never happen that the rank of a killer is lower than the rank of any of the survivor.
I mean, the idea is that it's hard to escape and not hard to kill someone in this game. It's "Dead By Daylight and not "Survive By Daylight".
-
I was thinking about a value for solo players, but I think I wouldn't use it. If I want to know who gets chased I would prefer Empathy. After the first hit you get the same chase information. Additionally you can heal injured teammates for extra altruistic and omit slow self care healing. For solo queue I would also prefer kindred before this perk, if I want to take something different aura reading with me.
In general I like the idea that a perk is bound to a chase.

Hey there how do you clear huntress challenge? It states hit 2 survivors with charge hit with a hatchet but challenge is not completed despite hitting multiple survivors with hatchet. Thanks in advance
A charged hit means you have to wait while you're charging until you hear a "bling" sound. That means the hatchet is fully charged.

Jesus christ, that could be an exact copy of my results every evening. But I must say that this happens to me most of the time in the evening. And the matches aren't close. Most of the time I get totaly destroyed, PS4.

I like new perk ideas, but why should I exchange it with urban evasion, if I'm slower and it's more dangerous π€?

As both killer and survivor i find it absolute bullshit. Happens in a good chunk of my games. When someone does it, either because they don't like the killer or they don't like that they were first downed. It completely ruins the game, basically guarantees the killer will win, and also makes the killer lucky to black pip. It's bad for everyone in the game and there is no excuse to not treat it the same as a D/C
I absolutely agree with you. I play both sides and hate it. I wish they would remove the manual pressing of a key during the struggling phase. I know they said it's for the "feeling" of a fight, but for me it has not really a gameplay value. I mean wow, pressing one key over and over again is really unbelivable exciting, kappa. The only thing it currently does is providing a fast way to exit the game and ruin it for all others π.
-
I think most of the time a killer is considered to be fair, if the win rate against him is pretty high. I don't know numbers, maybe 80%?
In my opinion fair and fun gameplays are made by the players on both sides and not their characters.
Honestly I must add that an absolutly fair gameplay of a killer will make him lost most of the games. Think about someone gets unhooked and you don't see the person who unhooked him. What do you wanna do? Run around the map and search again someone? You will pay for this with at least 1 generator or maybe the whole match. So, if you unhook someone help him not to become the first target again. That's my opinion.
-
Depends on why I got the 4k. If they were cocky it's fine for me. If they're pretty new and running around without a plan I honestly feel a little bit sorry for them. If I notice it in time I try to ignore some strange mistakes of them to make the game at least a little bit fun for them. Nobody wants to get destroyed as fast as possible, because we want to play the game and not wait in the lobby π.
-
That's no joke. Most of the time I can't see someone hiding in a bush directly in front of me on this map. Even not, if I focus it with my eyes. My TV settings are definetly not to dark. I play on PS4. It's nearly impossible to find someone and it hurts my eyes after some time. The shadows aren't dark grey or very dark grey, they're just black like there is no light on the map.

Question to DbD community.
As a killer, would you rather play against survivors who hide and difficult to find or survivors who are good at looping?
Note: you cannot be good at hiding and looping at the same time. Looping takes time to learn and while hiding you aren't progressing towards it.
I think you can be good in both things. But you will take other perks for a stealth build. I prefer looping over stealth. It's more action π.

That's what I found so strange, you would think more players would be playing in the Evening.
I'm pretty sure that's the fact. But you need 1 killer for 4 survivors. In the evening when everyone is coming home from work they want to play in a group with there friends. So I think you got much more suvivors then killers. I'm also pretty sure that there are more swfs in the evening. And there are so much swfs are waiting for a match, that even low rank killers get high ranked swfs. In the evening I get 90% red rank swfs and I'm in the green ranks. But it's only in the evening that strange. Additionally some survivor activities like t-bagging, flashlight clicking reduce the amount of players who want so play killer. So in my opinion the behaviour of many suvivors is also a reason for long queue times. The funny thing is that they don't realize that.
-
In the evening on PS4 as a survivor it's really horrible, that's true. You get extreme long queue times and very often the game ends pretty fast. I solved it by switching to killer in the evening and trying to a better game than the killers I normally get at this time. To be fair, I must say that many (not all) survivors don't understand that you are trying to make a good game and trying to disrespect you at the end of the game. But maybe this confirms that they had a great game and that was the main goal. If I at least hook some people and had great chases it's a gg for me. There is not need for me to kill everyone everytime. Because many kills does not always mean that the game was nice.

Hello Waldbeere,
Just letting you know that I have pinned in the bug section a template on how to report your issue. As of today, I will go through the threads and I will ask the community to follow this template. Like this it would be easier for you and for us to get all the info needed.
When you have time can you edit your thread and use this template :Β https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs?sort=newΒ that would be super helpful,Β then we will be able to edit the status and proceed with your issue.
Thank you so much for your help!
Have a great day!
Hello Pat,
yes of course. I edited it.
Best regards

That's correct, but playing against a rank 4 SWF group is much more difficult to play against compared to a group of solo survivors. That's what it makes much more frustrating. So the effective gap between the ranks is much bigger than shown.

Every damn game I play as killer I go against a swf red rank team with one green rank. I'm rank 9.
Same to me. Not every game, but especially in the evening. It feels more like a humiliation than fun. Sometimes I do not get any hook...
PS: Playing on PS4
-
If I see purple green or even yellow ranks in my team I want to be able to dodge
That's the reason why it's not coming back. You increase the queue times for other players.
