Curious if these were two Feng players on the EU servers? I’ve unfortunately had them a couple times. I also thought they were farming then they started body blocking me and a bill in Midwich rooms. The after I was hooked did the fake unhook for ages and BM’d me. Second time I faced them I wasn’t paying attention to the lobby and only realized once I was in game. I did record the match though and submit a ticket, not sure if anything happened to them.

It might have been. One was feng with standard costume the other might have had a skin. It seemed very much like they were on comms with the killer too. Another player was a Nick cage. I thought they were alright but come to think of it they did a gen right next to what was going on.

Ghostface had like a devil costume or something along those lines black with red in the middle.

  • I had a game which was frankly disgusting! I thought people were trading on the hook but then they stopped at second stage.

I thought they just began to farm. I never trust what killer is gonna do but sometimes I go along with the farm as they won't chase you anyway.

The ghostface started going for me at shack. A pair of players tried blocking my route's. They hooked me. Continuously Bm'd While they let someone else do gens.

They t bagged me and pointed at me on hook. Did the pretend unhook tease too. I died.

I wasn't actually bothered just disturbed by these peoples actions. Very odd behaviour and I should have reported. A new player might have quit the game for good.

We seem to be having another wave of hackers. Seeing more and more complaints about them.

Yeah i thought as much. It's so subtle though I wonder how it's gonna be stamped on. I used to report them but it's such a hassle.

  • @Ranch_Jello said:

Sounds like your another victim of made for this

No it happens when they have no injury.

Also on my screen looks like they have a very small but noticeable speed increase. So perhaps they are cheating.

The timing for it to be lag is just too coincidental.

  • A random perk mode would be nice. At least if you do bad you can blame the perks. Probably as chill as it's gonna get.

  • You need to play some m1 killers bud.

  • I would like it to be invulnerable to stuns and flashlights. Maybe at least with add on's. It's just comical that happening to an alien.

Being able to switch to a facehugger somehow would be cool. A bit like twins I guess.

This has been happening even outside of windows though. I'm talking right in the middle of a map with nothing around. Strange.

Damn I knew something was wrong. I'm taking a break until the next patch. It's rage inducing.

  • Besides the perks to at the very least slow down a tunnel. Teams can take hits to make it even harder. I have done this myself in a soloq so it's not like you need to be in a swf to do it.

If they bring forced penance then good luck with that. Everytime I bring it though it gets no use.

I wouldn't say I'm a hard tunneler so that might be why. I don't sweat like I used to as the game can be so unfair it's not worth the trouble.

  • I'm avoiding getting them. They seem worst than the normal cakes.

  • I thought it was because of using monitor and abuse but you are right it's a general thing.

I feel similar when playing freddy. I put it down to them having different ranges but this must be wrong. When playing knight they feel really slow but lunge a long way. This game is strange.

  • Every thread people wanna turn it into an us vs them thing. I play both so don't even go there.

You're complaining that they fixed a bug that was in the game for literally years because it is now more disadvantageous and drop vaults look bad (which they did before the teleport bug was even a thing, too), and by that logic because you're complaining about how it is now then it's likely you thought it was fine then, hence why I made my comment.

I have only played the game about 3 years so I have no idea what it was like before. Seems odd taking that long to fix it?

They decided to do it when killers already have enough garbage to deal with. Real troopers.

Could you hit through peoples bodies then too?

  • @Paternalpark said:

Clearly some1 hasn't played survivor this past year.

Oh I have believe me. Soloq exclusive. If you read one of my comments stating that some of the hits through windows were just stupid. You would know that already.

But teleporting back to the window after you've already legged it away and then getting hit was fine, right?

Did I say it was? So hitting through a survivors body is fine no?

    How about read!

Only true for SWFs. Playing Dead By Daylight as a solo Survivor is the most miserable experience in any game I've ever played.. :/

Na I've have a lot of fun lately. Bad players on your team is the issue not that they are a swf or not.

  • On that map with that killer I don't blame them one bit. It's a boring thing to do so I haven't for a long time (apart from end game) but I had a game with ghostface on the game recently and wished I did it. I tried making dead zones but my build had zero gen regression only stalls.

I should have tunneled at least.

It has way too many safe pallets it's a complete joke.

  • Reward the survivor for playing bad and punish the killer for playing good. Great perk BHVR.

  • @MB666 said:

MFT is the real issue here , not vaults , a game shouldnt be balanced around a bug that just benefits the killer unintentionally , even worst if you know how BS vaulting as survivor is in this game is just a desync fest of getting hit from miles away or not.

but yes MFT needs to be either reworked or gutted to the groud for good , am all for it. but let vaults alone jeez , those are pretty bad even with the vault fix , you can still be hit from miles away against vpn / laggy players.

and as someone who plays a lot m1 killers more than survivors , i have to say , is a pure skill isssue , i personally have 0 problems timing my lunges , tho... I have to admit that now my hits no longer connect when they shouldnt WHICH IS GOOD so far because if as killer I do a swing to late I should be punished by that not just hit the suvivor when they are already on the other side of the windows like decent far away and still get hit somehow thats just BS on my screen and even worst on the survivor POV.

I agree before as survivor I was getting hit at times that just felt stupid when vaulting. I'm not sure how my weapon going through a survivors body is any less stupid though.

Na no skill issue here as killer. I'm just getting tired of BHVR trying to balance the game around skill less beginners at the detriment of going against already good players.

I'm having my moments as survivor too now so no skill issue either but thanks for judging my skill which you haven't a clue about.

You would think suiciding-on-hook and disconnecting would indicate the game is very unfun for a certain group of players, but that would be plain silly and shouldn't be addressed. Games aren't meant to be fun, you know.

Let's try and force the player to stay in a game they aren't having fun in. It's not like they can AFK while they watch a youtube video, or run up to the killer to be hooked again, or sandbag their teammates, or hide all game waiting for hatch.

How are we planning to deal with all the other options still available for players, who aren't having fun, to force them to play?

    ---

If I'm playing survivor, I'd prefer my teammate, who isn't having fun, to DC without penalty, so I can get a bot in his place.... And maybe, the developers should look into why the game is causing people to DC and suicide-on-hook in larger than normal amounts.

I'm almost tempted to use the famous survivor main reply of skill issue and leave it at that. If they don't like the game then don't play it.

Cherry picking your matches in an online game is tantamount to cheating in my eyes. Do you think I like going against a blight?

Of course the game can always be improved but these people are the issue not the game.

I don’t condone it in any way, however, don’t we need to look at the reason this is happening? Sure, there’s a contingency of them who are just entitled and rage quit, but I’m sure a fair amount of game Enders are for a valid reason. If someone’s being tunnelled or face-camped, can you blame them for not wanting to play hook simulator? Or if their teammates are just trolling or farming?

there’s a multitude of reasons as to why people choose to give up on hook. Instead of looking at the problem, look at the causation.

Being tunneled and camped is not the cause when they have only been hooked once and are not being camped. They try to unhook in seconds. These are the main ones I'm talking about. I was literally feet away once and someone did it.

I've been tunnelled and camped to death. I didn't rage quit like a baby.

To those saying remove DC penalty. Let me spell it out for you. Player goes against an unpopular killer and DC's. Another team mate DC's. Player ends up against bots and DC's. Game ends. Rinse and repeat.

Oh and unpopular is subjective as I've had multiple suiciding teammates against a huntress for example. lol

Ques are already bad at times I don't think people want to waste their time over and over.

So the reason for these cases is simply selfish and sulky acts of game sabotage.

This should lead to a lengthy ban to repeat offenders. The health of the game would be my priority.

  • I played against a Doctor who just shocked at the hook the whole match to prevent unhook.

Having gone against this map as killer a lot. I can understand why.

  • I noticed when doing a gen with another person it didn't glitch. it's done it every time when alone though for me. Please killswitch it's made a big difference in games I've played.

  • Ash has a funny line. This needs fixing for sure. Some of the characters I have never heard too.

  • Yep just happened in another game. Might have possibly been a 4 man out if not for this.

  • Whats it matter you all suicide on hook lately anyway!

Not a comment about SM BTW.

Sorry I mispoke. Im agreeing with you, I havent slept in like 24 hours and I mispelled remove as removing making it look like im disagreeing. My bad.

Self-eliminating on hook is stupid and shouldnt be in the game. The 4% mechanic is kind of bad as well, giving a chance to clutch just because you are lucky. I think self unhooks should be relegated to deliverance and slippery meat reworked.

Totally it really is getting out of hand for me in soloq.

I hope this is getting looked into because bots won't change much at all if this carries on this way.

I mean against a huntress without the 1 hit down multiple times people have suicided. Wesker kind of irritates me and Blight but I still don't quit.

  • @nars said:

just removing the entire kobe system, just serves to avoid dc penalty and deny wins 1/25 matches

Please explain as I don't follow. Kobe is the unhook mechanic right?

Your saying it's alright to dodge the DC penalty? It has a minimal impact to the match?

If this is what you ment then honestly that comment is a joke.

Why is tunnelling such an effective strat then against all but a good swf?

  • I would just say take a break and play survivor. I fairly often get matched with brainless potatoes though which isn't fun either.

You might as well switch mmr off at this point.

  • Got to admit watching probably noobs playing killer and camping yet winning.

Barely any effort but they get the win some of the time.

Pretty lame when you play in a more fun way yet it's to your disadvantage.

  • This is still happening for me. It might not be reported much as it probably not used much.

Kill switch it again please. So annoying doing them and it locking gen still.

  • You do get some strange BP scores sometimes. Like myself occasionally or someone else keeping the killer busy for a long time.

Then eventually getting tunnelled out and getting peanuts for more than half winning the game.

  • It's perhaps being used more because gen defence is so pathetic.

  • @Uxoxe said:

Adrenalin is still used 10% more that MFT. Lithe is still used 2% more than MFT. Survivors value MFT less than WoO, Adrenaline, Lithe, Resilience and Prove Thyself. That's a good perk, but it's not an overpower perk.

I guess this goes with the whole, "Survivor's can't have a good perk" philosophy.

Maybe the developers should just nerf the remaining "9" perks survivors still use more than 10% of the time. Eventually survivors will just not pick perks because they're all bad.

Well do as many players have those characters? I highly doubt it so I'm not sure the point of that argument.

I'm in no rush to get the perk as it's cheap and painful against some of the weaker killers. Yeah I expect you need to be good to get the most out of it. Still that hardly makes it fair though. It's a joke when they run the same speed as you around things because their hit box is much smaller. It can hardly be mindgamed if they have clear view of you and killer has no anti loop.

    Yeah but skill issue right!

You can buy slowdown on current meta but it requeres some skills. Strong anti-gen perks wants you to hook different survivors. So maybe it made game hard for someone. Because slowndown is not free anymore.

By strong anti gen and hook different survivors you mean pain res. Had 2 or 3 games recently all the hooks spawned in on one side or corner of the map together. Great that was. No way is that even random.

  • @Evan_ said:

Not sure what's the issue with it. It usually means that someone is not doing a gen, or that I can go there whenever it's convenient to get my free hits or hooks.

It's the sound of doing well in my trial.

I don't have an issue over a short period of time but they were in a main building and they did it pretty much the whole trial.

I went there and got a couple of hooks but then it started again. Perhaps they did it in rotation.

Not on a gen maybe but I'm not spending my whole game around a strong building. I think I was twins and game wasn't looking too good for me.

Yeah it's good to win but almost physical suffering in a videogame shouldn't be part of the deal.

Like I said haven't had it happen in a long time and not sure if it's fixable without the fix being abused.

Still it should be bannable doing it that much.

  • @clowninabout said:

Why are people trying to "fix" hook suicides? Bots absolutely should not be used to replace people in this situation. They died, they lost their match end of story. Also you don't know if maybe they were trying to 4%, its a risk/reward thing. Plus it lets people get out of a game legitimately without penalty. I know its frustrating when a teammates lets go early, but that's their choice and we shouldn't be trying to force people to stay in a match.

I didn't say bots should replace them. I'm pointing out this is an issue. More so than ever in my experience.

Not talking about situations where you might as well try to unhook.

People are blatantly doing it straight away.

I'm sorry but players can't only play a game when everything is to their liking or in their favour. Why not try to play and improve or help your so called "team" at least the best you can. What's the worst that can happen? You die in a video game. Big deal!

  • @durag_demon1 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3479671#Comment_3479671

If you getting looped for 5 gen then that's a skill issue

Mft does not stop you from playing certain killers you choose to stop playing certain killers... skill issue once again

Skill issue. lol That old chestnut.

  • @MDRSan said:

It’s the same problem - how do you determine what’s a hook suicide without actually knowing the player’s intentions? There’s been times where I’m about to progress to 2nd stage, my teammates are across the map, and I use that last little bit to see if I’m lucky today - clearly I’m not trying to get out of the match there. Other times it’s strategic, like the killer is hovering and I want to force hatch to spawn for my last, potentially foolishly altruistic teammate (I’ve been on both ends of that foolishness). That’s technically a hook suicide but with the intent of helping my teammate.

I’ll admit there have been a handful of times where the killer is playing way too aggressively for my team’s skill level and I do take the option to remove my particular bloodpoint cow from the match as the last little bit of control I have over the situation though. In that case, a bot is just a handout to the killer.

How do the bots spawn anyway - do they just take over the existing survivor or are they fresh? Like, do they keep the same hook state?

People do it instantly sometimes. Fairly often actually. If not dead they go straight to stage 2. Not talking about any other example of that.

I'm not on ptb but I would expect the same hook states.

I have noticed made for this in a lot of my games but I didn't think it had that much impact. I mean people ran that one boon that did the same thing and it barely did anything. But yeah i never thought that was the issue.

Well the boon wasn't the entire map. I've had a game or two where they used that as well as MFT.

It's very dependant on the killer you use the situation etc.. After they finally nerfed DH again they pull this one.

My only reasoning for this is for sales. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth TBH.

I'm somewhat hopeful they will balance things out (slowly) because the killer might be a minority but without them you have no game.

  • It's crazy really. You can still win games but a good swf can tear you apart now.

On strong loops MFT is a real time waster and it's hard to spot they have it too. Gen speed can be stupid.

I think DBD dev's must be playing against low skill level to think this is alright.

Imagine after the event is over and no more invitations to break pallets.

I have never escaped so much as survivor.

This must all be showing in the data.

They should just listen to non bias people instead but I doubt they ever will.

It's more about the fairness of the argument presented. One cannot argue that haste is bad when survivors get it so easily while simultaneously ignoring how easily killers build Bloodlust.

Yes, maps are a problem — I think, by this point at least, everyone has acknowledged this — but one cannot argue that haste is a problem if survivors have it due to map size while conveniently ignoring how Bloodlust, a base mechanic, also provides haste.

I'm more than happy to have a constructive discussion about Made For This, and how it could be better balanced, but I'm not going to do that if an argument as to why it should be nerfed amounts to "It's not fair" or "Perk's OP, Plz Nerf".

I perhaps wouldn't have an issue with a non stacking MFT. If it weren't not for the current gen rushing meta stacked with poor gen defence. The healing nerf did barely anything to an organised team unless using sloppy.

Now teams are fine playing injured with MFT, resilience and even deja vu for nutty gen speeds.

Fine you say then down them not just injure. Well you can't really mind game good survivors with some killers on shack or strong linked tiles if they get there. Even more unlikely with these perks.

So you leave chase and they blast the gens to hell.

  • @Rovend said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3471193#Comment_3471193

And you still have several players doing winstreaks with x killers. I am pretty sure that the guy that won a thousand games consecutively with blight didnt feel survivors had a massive advantage.

And what is the point of the 1v4? One Survivor strength does not equal 1 killer strength, if that were to be the killrate would be close to 0%.

In the majority of games, Losing just one survivor makes most teams have a really hard time to repair a gen.

Come on you can't draw comparisons to OP killers.

I would be happy if blight and nurse got nerfed. I barely ever use them.

    I do play survivor also.

  • @Rovend said:

I mean, if you are going to stand with "a strong organised team can do X and Y and high mmr, etc" then it is only fair to also add that any high skilled killer can absolutely wreck someone using Mft or entire mft teams. Even more if they are using tier S or A killers.

Blah blah blah is what i got from that!

It's common knowledge. High mmr SWF have a massive advantage over high mmr killer generally. If you are not aware it's 1 vs 4.

Well I was wondering when we would get the, "I'm clearly high mmr and you aren't, so I win" and honestly it took a lot longer than I thought, I'm impressed.

It's clear the difference it makes when you play against people who don't make mistakes that's all.

As many have said already it's dependant on what killer you use. Some killers I'm not much good to be honest others I am. I don't use s -tier killers hardly ever though. I don't enjoy them as much as it often feels cheap.

The game can hardly be balanced around poor players can it. Oh wait!

  • Not only did someone not recover on the floor but they then kept wiggling so I couldn't pick them up.

I then died when I could have just escaped. Next time I will check the progress. No progress then I leave.

Very next game someone had victor on their back and blocked me from picking someone else up.

    Neither were Leons.

  • Worst thing about it now is I don't expect it anymore. Then I have a whole team with it in one game.

  • @Kaitsja said:

No, I read your comment quite clearly. Bloodlust is haste, but instead of it being a perk it's baked into killers as a base-game mechanic and rewards you not for outplaying a survivor but for simply being faster than them.

Yet here people are complaining that MFT is absolutely busted when bloodlust exists and provides killers with haste. If MFT is busted, then so too is Bloodlust.

How much time do you think the killer has free! lol

1 2 3 4 5 … 9
