RPD is okay. I like it a lot more than Lery's or The Game for sure. When I play killer on it, I only play one half of the map, the library side. That works for me to win often enough

Sometimes yes, majority of the time he reminds me of Scott & Tru3talent with their very obvious killer sided opinions.
Lol at thinking Scott is killer sided. Dude's whole shtick is being the cool killer main that follows the survivor rulebook. That's why he used to endlessly complain about Spirit because you didn't know what she was doing but Iron Will is fun and fair because you don't know what the survivor is doing. He also said SWF doesn't give any advantages while publicly lambasting tru3

It's not going to hit live as is, but I'm interested to see how they do eventually address it.
They said that about Boil Over...
-
This is no big deal and won't affect most killers cause you only run into teams like this 0.0001% of the time. Just don't tunnel!
-
Stop saying that NOED moves killers to high MMR that shouldn't be there. The matchmaking system doesn't even work and doesn't matter. Any killer will get matched against opponents that far outclass them when the amount of survivors absolutely dwarfs the number of available killers which is every night. Baby Wraiths get shoved into matches against 8k hour SWFs routinely
-
Because the devs hold the survivors hand and walk them out the exit gates
-
"Many loops are designed for 4.4m/s and 4.6m/s Killers, where each side has a chance to outplay the other. Adding extra speed to that quickly makes them one sided. If you strengthen the loops to compensate, you're right back at square one. An extra 0.2m/s sounds small, but it means catching up 33% faster."
Please explain The Game, Badham, Fractured Cowshed, Garden of Pain, Eyrie of Crows, etc. Thank you

It will make it mandatory.
They have done nothing-nada-zipppo towards changing the actual reason why BT gets brought in so much. The band-aid was just stretched.
They should run statistics on how many people kill just by camping/tunneling. I am betting it is something in the 90% range.
They should run statistics on how many survivors escape in 3 and 4 man SWFs when the killer doesn't camp or tunnel. Probably in the 90% range
-
Hey that's not too bad actually, a lot of games it's 3 gens for 1 hook when the survivors are all tryhards and hard split on gens immediately
-
SWF dOeSnT GiVe AnY AdVaNtAgEs
-
I'm on PlayStation too, killer main. I wish there was console only crossplay. That would be fantastic. I get stuck playing against PC SWFs all day long. I can't verify or check profiles or anything so I only really dodge Legacy. Sucks.
-
Survivors crying all over the forums about Nurse because she's the only killer that has a realistic chance consistently against 4 man try hards on comms. Can't nerf SWF cause we'd punishing them for having friends so we need to punish the ######### out of the player that queued up as Ghostface
-
Are PS4 players marked with a globe when you're on PS5?
-
Nurse is the only thing that has a chance vs try hard 4 stack on comms, the most busted thing in the game, but we can't nerf that because YoU CaNt PuNiSh PeOpLe FoR HaViNg FrIeNdS. Nope just punish the poor m1 killer trying to play Myers cause he loves Halloween

It doesn't disincentivize killers from reckless tunneling. If I hit the killer with it, they'll know that I don't have it thus INCENTIVIZING tunneling.
This doesn't help with the 3-sec stun nerf. Mind you, players were already asking for it to work twice even when it was 5 seconds.
This is a good point. If I get 59 second DSed or someone BT bodyblocks me into DS, they're getting hard facecamped and tunneled out next hook
-
I've never played Dead by Daylight at a party
-
How about a little consideration for us low to mid MMR killers that are routinely getting matched up against multi thousand hour SWFs? Make those teams wait for Nurse and Blight because they're the only ones that can deal with it. Stop matching me against them when I'm playing console Trickster. Thanks.
-
Iron Will and scratch mark/blood removing perks hurt killer players that are HoH or have poor eyesight
-
The only high risk high reward one is DH. The rest are trash and not worth it after the new update. I find crowd control really fun in chase builds but not worth it with the brain dead spawn locations
-
I'm pretty sure the true kill rates are actually lower than what's present in BHVR's stats. A lot of the times survivors die in the end game collapse trying to save their teammates when they could have just left. If survivors just left behind one person more often, the escape rates would go up. I doubt BHVR is accounting for this.
-
Hey guys, killer main here. I think Iron Will is a fun and fair perk that brings a lot of excitement to the game and chase dynamic potential. I never have a problem with it, I just use my eyes! They shouldn't have nerfed it like this, now it's going to be too easy for me to get wins on Spirit. I never had a problem with Dead Hard either, the complaints about it are overblown it's so easy to counter, you just bait it out!
-
Solo isn't that bad as long as someone doesn't dc or suicide on hook immediately. that being said, knowing your teammate's perks at the beginning of the match in the lobby would cause people to dodge anytime someone isn't running DH/BT/DS/Boon etc

um? You do know BT gets canceled if they touch exit gates? And also DS doesn’t work in endgame anymore and Noed is still strong it’s just not annoying to deal with anymore?
How is NOED still strong? It will get you one down and then it's gone. Not even a gtd kill. That's not worth it to go an entire game with 3 perks

Iron Will on its own is not a problem. It is the only skill in the game that allows you to "get away" from the killer during a chase because otherwise they can hear you from extremely far away. Imagine if you were a wounded claudette and were running around on a map with no walls being chased by a blindfolded killer (who was looking at the ground so no chase would start). Without IW they would easily be able to follow you even if they literally can't see.
Without Iron Will you can't really misdirect in chases. In short the devs think Iron WIll is making DH stronger. This is marginally correct but really it's more like 80% that DH is way too strong and the rest is that IW can help them in a chase to waste a few seconds.
I assume you are talking about IW nullifying Spirit in a chase. She can still just listen for footsteps (and look for grass moving). Almost nobody bothers to listen for footsteps.
Footstep sounds are straight up muted at least half the time thanks to bugs
-
Doing gens is so boring, chase is the only thing that's fun!!!
::gets tunneled:: no you're ruining the game I don't want to be chased!!
-
Can you stop tunneling gens if I've only gotten 1 or 2 hooks by the time there's one gen left? That's not fun at all, I barely even got to play the game
-
in b4 just pressure gens bro and I 4k all the time at high mmr with Clown no add ons
-
I played against Sluzzy. I dunked on him with Trapper and then I beat him on the hook like a pinata
-
Some people only have fun winning and that's that. Winning as survivor is escaping
-
I was literally making a joke about how everytime a killer gets nerfed there's a whole bunch of survivors on the forum going "this nerf is barely anything, all the skilled Deathslingers won't even notice! The bad ones need to play Trickster! The really good Spirits won't even be impacted, the terrible ones will have to pick Wraith" etc.
That being said, SC was busted and survivor takes barely any skill in this game in general
-
All the skilled survivor mains won't even notice the change to Spine Chill it's such a small nerf. Only players that can barely do anything besides M1 and need the game to force feed them all information will be hurt, they'll need to move to premonition
-

Teabagging is not toxic, though. Toxic is telling someone they should kill themselves. Toxic is using racial or homophobic slurs.
Wholly disagree that BHVR condones actual toxicity.
Teabagging is telling someone F U i'm better than you you're trash. How far removed is that really from telling someone to unalive themselves or using slurs?
-
It would be awesome if you could block people from matchmaking with you. The toxic losers would have infinity queue times
-
BHVR condones toxicity so don't expect too much to change. Remember when they were changing the animations and they said they wanted to make sure that teabagging was still satisfying?
-
The haste for survivors protected by BT is some BS, it just makes it easier for these annoying survivors to bodyblock you and keep you from going after the unhooker
-
Spine Chill was completely unfair to the killer player. It's garbage that you can sneak up on a generator and dude was halfway across the map because his perk was lighting up for him. It had zero cooldown, always worked, and the "counterplay" of having to walk backwards or sideways from 40 meters away was ridiculous. Especially painful for stealth killers that are already slow and at the mercy of gamers holding W. I understand the need for accessibility, but the game also has to be fair to the person playing killer. For example, look at those filters people use on PC that make the red stain 10x brighter and make it go through walls. I'm sure that's great for accessibility and someone with worse vision, but it undeniably screws over the person playing killer
-
The devs said they wanted kill rates to go up so they made more free endgame escape perks and made NOED easy to find ::shrugs::
-
This perk was busted, it needed its nerf
-
It's great that they got rid of the distance but I wish they would have just changed the perk to do something else entirely. The having to hump the survivor to bait out his dead hard gameplay is stupid unfun
-
The unhooked bodyblocking with BT aggravates me more than anything else in this game, even just a little bit more than dead hard for distance. I just hard tunnel out the guy that bodyblocks me. I don't care about winning at that point as long as his game is over
-
Next DLC will have a perk called Will to Live and it will literally just be current Dead Hard lol
-
@Adjatha said:
The 55% kill rate was from the old figures. They did not share what the actual average kill rate is, as of June 2022, but apparently it's low enough that they're actually willing to tweak some core numbers.
It's entirely possible that average kill rates are below 50% currently. The fact that they DIDN'T share the number sure makes it seem like it might even be lower than that.
Yep. I'm convinced the high MMR escape rates are easily 75%+ and that's with teams sometimes giving an end game kill because they refuse to let their teammate die. I think 3 escape average is highly likely
-
Iron Will nerf is great, I can finally play Spirit again. YAY!
-
I want them to post what the escape rates are at high MMR where it's sweat squad central. I wouldn't be surprised if it's 70%+

Can you at least just wait for the changes to see how they feel?
It's a PTB for a reason. If something is broken, it will be changed.
I'm fine with Decisive having 5 seconds of stun, but it shouldn't work in end game.
The haste for the base BT should stay 5 seconds, but maybe endurance should be 10.
Off the Record is just not okay, that has to change to like 30 seconds at best.
You forget about buffed boil over and the non stop Eyrie & RPD offerings?? lol

Which perk give 15sec Endurance? I cant remember.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3018324#Comment_3018324
Basekit BT doesnt help from hard tunneling. Tunnel through BT + DS always happens.
Plus Basekit BT only "discourage" tunneling, not face camping.
Bubba face camp with 4-5 Gen and DeadLock with 50sec Gen added. You know it.
I dont complain about 50sec Gen added, but Camping is more effective now.
Doesn't the new BT give 15 seconds of endurance? or is it still 12?
-
No way is it better than Dead Hard lol. They're just saying that because they don't want their crutch perk nerfed so they're trying to gaslight killer players

I have a good news for you, Endurance only works once.
I had MoM activated, unhooked with Borrowed time. When I tried to purposely got hit for BT, Mom also deactivated.
OTR 80sec sound harsh, but as soon as Killer just hit fresh-unhooked surviovr, regular BT and OTR also deactivated its Endurance.
I was more talking about how dude gets off hook as killer downs someone. we're playing in a SWF. i have 80 seconds of BT. my friend saves the freshly hooked guy. that's two people with endurance with 15+ seconds. that's 3 escapes right there
-

I don't get why people are complaining about this so much. If you as the killer, have gotten to endgame and the whole survivor team is still alive you deserve to lose. You are not entitled to a kill because you can stand in front of the hook lol.
There's already tons of uncounterable endgame escapes for survivors, and it's barely something people complain about on here. The solution is to not let it get to endgame unless you have an endgame build.
Your reward for not camping and tunnelling earlier in the game is having all survivors have free escapes in the endgame. The gens will get done every single game playing by the survivor rulebook unless the survivor team is way undermatched by matchmaking. any halfway decent team will easily make it to endgame unless the killer forces altruism and uses camping/tunnelling strategically well
-
Yeah this perk is trash tier now. Anyone that runs it is living in 2017
