Just happened again, was having a great match against an Oni, 1 gen left 3 alive. Struggle ended after about 4 seconds. I used my finger to spam it and made no difference :/

So survivor mode is broken then?

Dude, happens to me too. Sloppy, wraith uncloaking, lag spike, someone else gets hooked/hit, good ole console

  • I only do it if it's a tome challenge cuz I suck with flashlights and assume it's better (or nicer idk) then doing it at pallets.

My friend who usually always has a flashlight does it to use the add ons since they're going to disappear.

  • I watch Tericho love his opinions and thoughts, plus a chill dude.

    Miss noob3 and hybrid panda

  • Rest in peace grandpa crack pipe.

    Rest in peace o7

  • Have about 4.2k hours mainly survivor, I don't use OoO, because all I do is stare at the killer and forget that they can see me lol as for DS, don't mind it at all, I rarely use it the last couple months so I can focus on looping, however when I do use it, it was my end game perk be it death hook or EGC.

  • Ran a pig all game, got downed, EGC started me and one survivor remain. Have tenacity and unbreakable (prove thy self and we'll make it in case anyone is wondering the rest) pig is tbagging me and I slowly crawled away so I don't give away my tenacity, crawl to pallet and stand up, stun and leave.

  • But that was his response to someone laughing at him for having noed (because this is the forums I don't care that he had it or not) when not one survivor had any of those perks, as well as a low rank (granted they could've been on a break from dbd) the point is none of those perks were at play. Not pipping is a weird reason to stop playing especially over this kind of match. Seems maybe practice is needed but to uninstall? Odd

One spot only, but for killer more, thats literally an endless loop for a survivor as you can stand on one side and go to other side way before the killer gets halfway across

I guess unfortunately for me it's been for survivors and killers "/

  • It's busted for survivors to, there's some trees at the back of big boat that fat shames both killer/survivors. Swamp sucks

  • Usually meme it up and overall don't care. I'll still try so randoms don't get their experience ruined but I'm putting on deception, and pebbles. Surprisingly can actually flashlight when buzzed

Change it. Bone Clapper now makes it so Survivors hear the bell as though wraith is right behind them no matter where they are on the map.

I'll bet you set off a couple skill checks here n there as players jump off gens thinking theyre being chased.

I love this idea! I can just imagine working on a gen and hearing the bell right behind me lol and jumping

Math does. The BP people get for unhooking will be more than yeeting especially if they have WGLF. So, yeah, their BP are more valuable than yours.

You seem to misunderstand what toxicity is: I don't care what your intent is. It's an inherently toxic and selfish action, you don't need to think negative thoughts when you do it for it to be toxic. Stop being selfish and toxic, please. You're a very stubborn person, the fact that you continue to defend a selfish and rude action is pretty disappointing. Just be nicer to other players.

I've ready covered all of this in the last 5 pages on how you're still likely to get your bps. The math is %96 chance of the rescuer getting the points still. We've also already discussed that this a perception thing. But please continue to attack my character, at least me and OP were able to have a civil argument/discussion without belittling the other.

Everything you said here, I wish you'd have put in that detail sooner.

You're talking about changing my perspective from "haha, got eem" to "you saving me, I love you! "

Best point you've made this far, and I stopped reading that other post because he literally just made a new thread looking for validation because he couldn't find it here.

I refuse to see the 4% lotto point, because I'm not the gambling type in any sense. I guess there is a release of dopamine for those that enjoy gambling, but is it healthy?

Then again, I get a rush whenever engaged in an honest debate, so maybe I shouldn't judge others for their gambling habits?

I honestly do try to see all sides, but changing my perception has helped me to deal with the frustrations of this game.

Example: I never liked tunneling or camping killers, until I decided they must be more afraid of me, than I am of them.

Maybe I'll stop being "petty" when I see an attempted Kobe, but I'm still going to shake my head in disgust.

Just because a person considers burping as a "compliment to the chef" doesn't mean the people next to you won't consider it rude.

You consider it a compliment, but others consider it rude.

Never gambled in my life, that's why I do it in dbd. Lol same with drinking and driving, never do it, refuse to do it but I'll play some gta.

But like I said very early on, try it with friends, it's hilarious cuz you actually hear the reaction. Like my friend just got downed and was being carried, and I was like "let me clear this hook for you" and jumped off. Ive also had a random say they would hook dive for me, stupid but sweet lol

You never know when someone's going to be like "OHhhHhh" in an argument and I assumed you'd get it from me saying "it's not malicious" or that I'm purposely trying to be toxic. And I genuinely believe that most people who attempt aren't thinking that.

  • @keygun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799949#Comment_1799949

You didn't invalidate any of my points. You created excuses like slippery meat and up the ante. Honestly, we both know those perks are a joke and rarely used.

If others are on gens: not even the same argument as Kobe in you face. Not relevant.

Just try it: just did, it felt horrible and the person that unhooked me looked at me like I'm an idiot before saving, so it obviously rubbed him the wrong way and I was sincerely scared he was gonna leave me to die.

How about that? I'm actually reading and TRYING to see your points.

You should try it. Just once, just try to see it from the other side.

I already know what you'll say, no big deal, he's just being silly.

    No, he's being greedy.

Also, don't call me a dismissive brick wall when you: 1) never try to see my points, 2) say goodbye as if you're plugging your ears and ruining away.

I'm all for an actual debate, but I'm debating with myself because nobody else will actually try to see both sides.

No, you gotta keep trying until you kobe. It's not that I've got this thought in my head that as I see someone running towards me "man can't wait to rob them" it's literally winning the dbd lottery. If I kobe I won that match even if I die, cuz again 4% like that's impressive, the entity picked you, YOU! TO UNHOOK YOURSELF. YOUVE BEEN CHOSEN. However, I'm not saying to put yourself in 2nd hook cuz then yeah let em die.

But you'd still probably get the unhook, cuz the chance is so small, and healing points.

Maybe if we changed views, cuz you view it as rude, but I said in the other thread to @chieften333 my view is they jumped into your arms! It's love! And now I get butt touches.

We can also agree what is actually awful is someone with deliverance waiting til you get near and then jump and now you can't even heal. NOW that's aggravating but still kinda funny cuz I love a good jabait, even from killers

  • @AcridPyre said:

Are the queue times quicker? Me and two friends play three man swf and the wait can get pretty lengthy. I've wondered if maybe we add a fourth would the queues be faster seeing how it only needs to find us a killer rather the a solo survivor and killer.

I'm usually a 3 man, maybe have a 4th towards night time and at night queues are miserable.

  • @chieften333 said:

Why's everyone so heated about this? It's just a game, it doesn't impact you in real life.

If someone manages to kobe in front of me I don't rage on the forums. I think "get over here and let me heal you ya goober."

It's not toxic, but it is stupid on the hooked persons side to risk going into the struggle phase.

Hahahaha GOOBER! I love it, but same. Or if it's perfectly timed and they jump into my heal. Sharing a moment, you hook dived into my arms ♥️❤️

  • @keygun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799908#Comment_1799908

    Dismissive?

    Like saying goodbye twice?

How about you dismissing all the valid points given?

Or how I do see your side and have stated it multiple times?

    Yet I'M the brick wall?

I guess this is goodnight, unless you want me to repeat myself for the hundredth time?

I've said it twice now because you're not reading what I'm saying. I've literally countered all of your valid points, but you dismiss mine because they're not valid to you.

You've never stated you've seen my side because you've never kobed. You've only seen your side and how it upsets you.

As for the 100th time you're just saying "cuz it's fun isn't valid"

    Want validation?

Fine, sure it sucks, is it something to lessen the team? Nah, I laugh and move on. What sucks more is when they put themselves in dying state, but one attempt isn't worth writing home about. Try it before you knock it. And you'll maybe see the other side a little better.

Seriously though, idk if you're genuinely upset cuz there is no tone in text, please know I'm not attacking you. But your points are just as valid as others, mine included.

  • @keygun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799867#Comment_1799867

If you yeet when I'm a mile away, it's different than doing it in my face, so half your argument is invalid.

I can't see the other perspective? No, I see it, and I think it's greedy and toxic.

I don't do it ever, because again, there's NO point.

The only argument you have is, it's fun to attempt when you "know" you're about to be saved. You don't know you'll be saved, and in fact, decrease your own chances by playing selfishly.

An eye for an eye, nice.

How about, no bad deed goes unpunished?

Go ahead and talk to your brick wall tho, you're obviously just looking for validation because you can't make a single GOOD point.

Just scroll up and look at the multiple GOOD points that everyone else makes, then look at the few that agree with your ONE very BAD point.

It's fun. Yeah, so is punishing you for it.

Make a single VALID point for attempting to Kobe right before the unhook.

    It's greedy, it's selfish, it's toxic.

But yeah, I'm sure your wall will provide you a valid point, go stick your nose right in the corner and you'll find it.

    Jeesh

You're the brick wall. You're refusing to see the multiple points I've given, the examples I've given and very dismissive in general. If you think attempting is toxic, then youre in for a rough time in this game cuz that is literally the least toxic thing to do, UNLESS you're killer. Killers hate Kobe's, actually maybe you should play killer! Anyways goodnight.

Also the saying is "no good deed goes unpunished"

  • @keygun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799823#Comment_1799823

Not JUST bps. It's selfish, rude, and greedy.

Selfish, because I just ran across stage.

Rude, you're trying to Kobe when I'm about to save you.

    Greedy, trying to steal bps.

    3 reasons right there.

    Need another?

I may have perks to speed up healed, get extra points, or BT to save your bacon.

You only have 1 point. It's fun.

Which is countered by my last point: not as much fun as watching you suffer for it.

It's selfish you think you're inclined to the points, which is also greedy.

    It's fun

    I want blood points too

If I unhook myself then 3 survivors are on gens which equal stonks.

    Need another?

I may have slippery meat and up the ante.... You don't know. But because you don't know, all you see is me attempting which means you're gonna let me die, throwing the game. Selfish, petty, rude.

Youre not willing to see anyone's side, especially since you've never tried yourself. Feels like I'm talking to a brick wall, or I'm being baited now with this post so with that I'm out.

    Just remember

"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind"

  • @keygun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799797#Comment_1799797

    Bps isn't the whole argument.

    Fun isn't the argument.

It's toxic for many reasons, not just one or two.

But again, give me 1 other reason than, but it's so much fun.

    1 other reason?

    No?

Exactly. It's selfish, toxic, greedy. But hey, it's fun.

    But it is your argument.

"If I see you trying to unhook yourself and steal my points"

Yet we've established that they technically aren't yours, and that you've never even tried so you can't see the other side of the coin, and that you'll let someone die instead of getting these bps you so desperately want but only on your terms, and then proceed to dismiss everyone's point which is fun. I'm sorry you see it as toxic but that's not the case in ppl attempt.

  • @Boss said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799757#Comment_1799757

    Pretty much, yeah.

You also don't get Hatch Escape points if the Killer kills you in time, even though you find its location.

You don't get a kill as Killer if you down a Survivor who then crawls out of the exit just in time.

I could go on, but i already feel like i'm being annoying. 😅

Youre not being annoying. Excellent points!

  • @keygun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799780#Comment_1799780

I've never even attempted to Kobe, because there's NO point.

If anybody could give a valid point, I'd listen. But the only point made is, because it's fun trying?

It's really not, at least, not as much fun watching you suffer for your selfish behavior.

But your argument is skewed... You want unhook points, but also DONT want unhook points because they attempted...

Then you say your bps are more important because you're not the one on hook... By that logic shouldn't the hooked survivor get first try and get their bps since they are on hook, if their first attempt fails then BOOM they are yours (just using your argument)

And finally, YOU'VE NEVER EVEN TRIED?!?? You've literally never kobed, and are telling people not too? Maybe if you tried it you'd see why everyone is saying it's fun as their argument, because it's not malicious intent. It's exciting. Like winning the DBD lottery cuz it's ONLY a 4% chance. Just because you don't like that response doesn't make it an invalid argument.

    Edit- (Repeated a sentence twice)

  • @keygun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799760#Comment_1799760

The reason my bps is more important, I'm not the one dangling from a hook.

If you Kobe, I'll walk away, enjoy those struggle bps.

So you want unhook points but not if someone attempts? So instead of STILL getting unhook points, youre going to waste more of your time, and lessen the survival of your team. Let's say they kobe in your face, okay you get heal points, co op points cuz there is probably a gen near by. With your logic you are only punishing yourself on bps in the end

  • @Felnex said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799664#Comment_1799664

Okay, you are selfish and callous. Do you have any idea what you're doing to the other player? Do you care that you inconvenienced them for no reason beyond "lol, take that for trying to help me, no points for you, no borrowed/we'll make it for me" it's just so dumb.

Because I'm not doing it to be toxic don't put words in my mouth cuz I'm not thinking "lol I'mma do this in their face, f**k their effort, f**k their perks" it's something I've done for years, originally for the achievement cuz deliverance didn't exist and slippery meat was useless back then. Most vets don't care cuz it's not that many points and as many have stated you unhook for the survival of your team. By the logic of "screwing someone out of bps" what says your bps are more valuable than mine?

  • @Felnex said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799613#Comment_1799613

Okay that makes it alright. I was thinking you were insanely selfish, but if you only do this when you are playing SWF with people you actually know, then it's alright of course.

I say more people should try, at least once. It's funny, I don't view this as toxic. I'd be more mad about my teammates leaving me end game cuz then I'm losing at 5k points, or being hooked and someone jumping in hatch next to me. But a kobe, guys, it's not that big of a deal.

  • @Zarr0ch said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799613#Comment_1799613

Why fail to mention that you play in SWF in your initial post then? Seems like your trying to justify your actions.

Because I was replying to the original post, which is the topic of kobeing. And that I always try to kobe, gotta get the numbers. My justification is that it's fun, hence why I said "it's exciting"

Had it happened to me in solo lobbies, never get sad about it, I laugh, swear and heal then go back to what I was doing. Like you said it's a small amount of bps, why try? Well if it's so small why would you get upset about it? Just heal them, and maybe tackle a gen together.

  • @Zarr0ch said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1799593#Comment_1799593

Your demonstrating a severe lack of empathy towards others players with this response, you get what from kobe'ing? A few BPs. Your teammate misses out on more BPs, possibly pipping and any perks that activate with unhooking. It just feels...I don't know...arrogant maybe to try and kobe in front of someone who has run all the way over to say you. Your "I have my teammate to save me" is evidence of this.

Well perhaps, but luckily my teammates are my friends, so it makes it even funnier. Cuz then we get to meme, they will refuse to heal me, then killer comes back and they sandbag me or insta dc as soon as my feet touch the ground. Either way we are all having fun. We don't play for points all the time, we don't care about rank. Also if it is a random, and they leave me to die idc, it's no different then them leaving end game when I'm not even being camped. It's a video game, I don't take it that deep.

  • I always attempt, it's exciting to kobe and seeing as it's only 4% chance It's nice to know that when I fail (because I probably am) I have my teammate to save me. Have an entire half Montage of me doing it XD

What sucks is first hook, trying to kobe cuz you're impatient and then suicide.

  • @BioX said:

or you could stop relying so much on a perk.....

Can't rely on a perk when you'd still just be exhausted on the ground, mid air dash or ground dash the perk sucks

  • Just want you to know that there's alpha game play of hatch existing before the actual release of the game. You can watch a survivor escape before any gens had been completed. So hatch has always been in the game, just changed multiple times.

  • Tie between old borrowed time and vacuum pallets

  • I tip my hat to you solo q players. I play duo and still hate it. Haven't played in nearly 3 weeks, and honestly it's been nice. I jumped on the among us bandwagon and loving every second.

It will be in the next patch which will be dropping tomorrow.

    Thank you for answering 😊

  • My question was when? Not will

  • I main Xbox, but have it on PC. Before crossplay, there was no difference in queue times between the two. Only have a hard time after 9pm but again that's for both. As for potatoes I'll say they are everywhere. Played with plenty on both PC and Xbox. I enjoy crossplay and I'm glad you're having better games, but I enjoy playing against more variety

  • I just started tuning in to StreamDad. He has CC which is great cuz I have hearing issues. And he's wholesome

  • Saw this one recently on here actually.

    "Stop crawling under pallets"

  • They do, usually farmed or over altruistic where everyone is coming lol. I want to guess ruin, but if they were both on the same gen then one could have easily saved... I don't think this is a console problem. You just got your average potato squad

  • While I agree with you, an eye for an eye will leave the whole world blind.

  • Crawling to a pallet is extremely smart. I judge randoms who drop pallets I'm under, especially when they could've just taken a hit. Saved, and been saved countless times for "I'm on a pallet" callout

  • @Nutty_Professor you're the one who asked. That's why slugging at 5 gens is pointless no points, no pips. Just boring

  • The biggest thing I can think of is bloodpoints, or pipping. Slug all 4 immediately and you probably won't even safety

  • Deliverance is my cursed perk. I put that on and BOOM, found first.

  • @RoaminNoodls said:

I play Xbox and it sucks it just puts you with 2 bad survivors who throw at 5 gens left then it thinks your bad so it keeps doing the same thing. If you like hatch game every game it's good. I seriously debating quiting the game after 3 years of continually play.

I've been collecting screenshots after most of my games. Me and my friend rank 1, with 2 20s with tier one perks, or no perks. Getting a message end game "how do you run?" And then a red rank killer fully kitted... One thing devs have forgotten is, time played does matter, because practice makes perfect. I absolutely agree with you. After thousands of hours spent, as well as a few hundred dollars. Im going to have to stop, unless I have a full man swf or even a 3 man... Killers love that right?

  • Dude. I'mma just say as the big time survivor main (5k hours and maybe 100 kills as a killer. Just pointing this out to show how little I play killer) those perks are way too out of line and OP. My main build is tenacity, UB, Soulguard, Ds. Cuz I hate being tunneled and slugged. Mainly slugged as you can see. If youre being camped that much and hate it as much as you state, may I suggest Deliverance, break down, DS, and some sort of exhaustion perk likeeeee sprint burst, deadhard or even adrenaline.

  • It's not reportable because the game can end. Now had he/she found the useless survivor and then trapped them in a corner and went afk, then yes.

I'm a survivor main and hate these players. SC, hide. Heartbeat, hide. Rinse and repeat 🤮

  • After a character is P3 50, get rid of the message on bloodweb that says you're capped. Pressing A twice just to get to the next bloodweb annoys me
