sPiRiT iS tHe MoSt BaLaNcEd KiLlEr... jesus the bias is real in this thread
-
The main issue I have with it is all the killer ultra rares are seen as killers just having their fun, but when a survivor has their fun, it's seen as toxic. Not to mention survivors no longer have anything in comparison to killer ultras now.
-
Yep, don't tell anyone you have the quest and just put the offering and run for it. That's what i did, the first time I politely asked team to not open, I was trolled by a jane and she opened like 4 chests.
-
Last years was 1000x better, that's for sure. Everythings stuck behind a pay wall now unless you play for a month straight. Oh well

I’m a survivor main, I think she is fine. Not everyone with a different opinion than you is a spirit/killer main.
Every post you make is how you're a survivor main, nobody cares.
-
And again another thread full of spirit/ killer mains trying to justify that she's fine and everyone needs to git gud. Despite there being NO logical counter play, her extremely high win rates, how delusional can you all be.

As I said... should we remove every single add-on on killer so you can handle it? If you can't play against an iridescent hatchet then you probably won't make it very far
They just deleted the last remaining good survivor ultra rare add on, why should something like iredescent head exist? This needs to go along with prayer beads. No arguement, they are CLEARLY overpowered.

At base.
AT BASE.
This can be increased by botany knowledge, self care (when self healing) and no one left behind.
Ah yes, really bad perks that NOBODY runs.

That's funny, because I have run into many survivors who were able to juke me and make me switch targets. They didn't seem to have a problem with such an overpowered and unstoppable killer.
Just because you refused to play differently against her doesn't mean she is game breaking. She is unique and powerful, EXACTLY what a killer should be.
Enjoy the nerf. :crab:
-
Man.. it's almost like she was SO overpowered for SO long that SOMETHING had to be done, and now they've taken your cake away from you. Cry us a river.

As survivor under 5% rage quitters ruining the match and 90% getting matchmaked with potatoes doing bullshit and ruining the match.
As killer around 1% when the second last DCs to give his buddy hatch. But well it's not really ruined, the rage quitter ruined his own points by getting 0.
I mean if they've played 2k+ hours chances are they don't give a ######### about bloodpoints anymore.
-
Had this done years ago. The main issue with it besides what you stated is how buggy the 'protection' hits are acquired. They are pretty inconsistent which also is the reason MoM is 100% useless and unreliable in its current state.
-
Asking for another ridiculous buff.. that is WAY to strong
-
Best killer in the game since release "Isn't that strong" nice bait brother, i'm not even going to give you the time of day.

Personally, it's gotten to the point where I'm about to dc every time I play against a freddy. He's sooooo unfun to play against. The invisibility when awake is surprisingly strong, and there have been multiple times where it's actually happened inside the radius. Being asleep is even worse though. It's impossible to judge distance based on the lullaby. I understand this is to confuse those who are asleep, but when I think that he's at least 16m away and he's already lunging at me from behind a wall, it's kinda infuriating. Oh, and let's talk about the lunge. It makes so many loops unsafe simply because they picked Freddy. I like playing around lunges, but even when I play freddy I realize how bs it is. I understand why he had a long lunge in the first variation, but right now he doesn't need it. A normal lunge would suffice. Another one of my least favorite parts of freddy are the add-ons. They literally give freddy stacks of Thanataphobia for existing. It's counterable, but the fact that Alarm clocks spawn so far makes having a slow-down add-on and the paintbrush insane. It's not fun.
Let me make myself clear, I don't think freddy is OP as hell and he needs insane nerfs. I just find it hard to have fun against him. Can't see [BAD WORD] cause of the blurry effect outside of a certain radius. The red light is grey-scaled. He's small, has invisibility that procs at the worst times. And a lunge to make up for all the whiffs in the world. I "hate" passive abilities. It doesn't feel like your outplaying or being outplayed when a passive ability screws you over. I love PVP, and being outplayed can be a good learning experience. But it's the same with spirit's passive phasing, you don't learn [BAD WORD] when you get caught out by it besides, "see better idiot."
Yes, most of these passive abilities can indeed be countered or at least dealt with. But I'd rather not have to try my ass off every time I look at the bottom left and see a timer. Killers should be fun to play as, as well as against. This is where I applaud the devs and how they handled demogorgon. It's fun to play as and against. But freddy just makes me want to dc.
TLDR; Freddy already has a good build, he doesn't need most of his kit based around Passive abilities that feel unfair to be caught by.
It's as simple as this he's overtuned, and needs some nerfs, same with spirit. There's reasons he's unfun to play against, and i've been saying for the longest time if he's given such utility they NEED to take away his bs lunge range.

Wasn't Nurse, the absolute top dog of all killers, nerfed big time?
You're hilarious, she's been absolutely broken since release, go check how long ago that was.

the devs do not favor one side above the other.
they did that in the past (resulting in survivors being ridiculously strong back in the day - which is what @CrowFoxy referred to), but they have learned from that mistake.
survivors have received multiple, much needed, nerfs and killers some buffs that really helped the game. its in the most balanced and healthy state it has ever been - with survivors still being the power role btw.
in case you are wondering why the devs focussed on survivor nerfs rather than killer nerfs lately, i'll just link you a couple of videos of how the game was back in the day.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1fkX3H84SE&t=10s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R98e-Y4Lu8w
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNEqKQLkDCU
(this one shows 2 things: sabotage back in the day and how bad the survivors played, which allowed killers to actually catch them and win the game. if they were as optimal as they are now, they'd have been literally untouchable)
Not interested, especially since one of the videos includes tru3talent

So, survivors will have to feel like how killers have (except top tier killers like nurse and Billy) for the past 3 years.
Nope, sounds like you're playing a different game then I am. You're either A, a killer main with no surivor exp, or a SWF only player.
-
Never gonna happen, at most what they will do is make looping harder, and survivors weaker and weaker until their game dies.

I’m going to assume that people who complain about gen times dc whenever survivors finish a gen?
Of course I’m not serious, but you can’t be serious about people always dcing against spirit.
Actually this has happened more then once to me, we finish the gens, killer get a few hooks, dc's as soon as we open gates.

No idea honestly she has the counter play, but the hints for it are tiny and can be overwhelming to learn. I would probably be on the other side of this argument if I had not played her for over a year and know her addons and mechanics by heart.
It's odd i feel shes balanced, but balanced in a incredibly strong way.
You said you play on PS4, it's 2 different things when most of us are referring to PC. Trust me.
-
Wow it's almost like you copy pasted my reply on this the other day. The only counterplay is a SPECIFIC set of perks. Why should I have to run certain perks to be able to play against an overpowered (and abuseable) killer?
-
It depends on how you play him. Even at red ranks i've seen them do well. If you just run around thinking you can saw everything in sight you've already lost. It's the same kind of huntresses that try to go for snipes instead of hitting with m1 sometimes. Need to play smart, this game isn't hard.
-
I wouldn't really consider adrenaline an exhaustion perk, but it should be in there somewhere.

To the ones saying revert survivor changes. Take into account we wanted Nurse add-ons nerfed. We wanted multi blink add-ons gone. We wanted Omega-blink gone or have a justifiable downside. These are the things that brought out unskilled Nurses.
We wanted more nerfs. It's not enough.
-
As a survivor main, I miss this. Them smacking me on the hook and face camping me til the end of the game proved how much I tilted/irritated them. Bring it back, agreed.

This post is supposed to be about Nurse. Why are people trying to change the subject?
You're right, sorry. I don't think the nurse was nerfed hard enough.
-
Yeah, i'm not happy about the last 10 patches of survivor nerfs, please revert them, also the exhaustion changes.
-
Trust me when I tell you this is COMMON all the way even up to red ranks. It blows my mind how some of them play like this. My condolences.
-
Let's pray Spirit is next. After all the survivor changes, map changes, pallet adjustments. Don't you DARE cry about these nerfs.
-
If keys are unfair to you, bring franklins. /topic
-
Killers defending the baby perk but want to take away all of the good surivor perks like self care, adrenaline, decisive strike, MoM, etc, the list is neverending. I've even heard they want something done with iron will.. OMEGALUL.. ######### i love these threads so much
-
It's actually funny to me. Most killer mains say they don't care about ranks, or they don't matter. Yet they spam the only two busted killers in the game to abuse the system to stay rank 1.. Why is that? lol

I think it's because people have learned how to play her, and now that there are players around who are super good at Spirit, all the most powerful and unfun aspects of her gameplay have come to the fore. Even players who have been playing for a long time before and after her release, such as myself, have found playing against her much worse and more frustrating in recent months, where before she wasn't that bad. The character hasn't changed, but the proportion of players with mastery of her has.
Nah you left the 4 patches straight where she received buffs. Nice try though.

In 2019, if a loop is so strong you’re better off walking away from it as Killer, that is a problem. The Killer Shack is annoying as is if someone knows how to loop it properly.
It's not a loop. Also requires a very bad perk, balanced landing.
-
People thinking infinites exist in 2019. BTW that 'INFINITE' you seem to think exists on haddonfield can be mind gamed. Work on improving before coming and begging for nerfs.
-
He's super fun to play against imo, haven't tried him out on killer side.. busy p3'ing nancy and steve atm.
-
Put her back to the way she was on release.
-
Yeah you're all devs with coding knowledge, silly me. I should have known. Sorry guys!
-
I think you're just bad. I've seen some really good demo mains already and they do just fine. Let's complain like we did with spirit so he gets OVERTUNED like every killer thus far they've touched (freddy, spirit, hag, etc)
-
I have no idea, i've been dc'ing literally every other match and I haven't a clue why. It's this patch, it's completely broken. Running from a killer, poof next thing I know match ended.
-
@FireHazard said:
The issue is still being looked into... I don't see why everyone needs to make 90 posts on something, it won't make it get fixed faster.
Lol, are you new here? Go look at the long history of game breaking bugs that were left alone (for example, the legion add on exploit) then look at something super trivial like the flashlight buff (gone within less then a few hours) yeah, it's being looked into i'm sure. OMEGALUL
-
Always makes me laugh when they say "only viable spirit/nurse" somehow these days viable means broken. Both for a LONG time have needed nerfs/changes, but nothing has happened but further survivor tweaks and map "BALANCE" *cough*
-
Consider yourself lucky, for me it's been 1 shot hatchet huntresses, tons of mori killers, sweaty slug nurses, and multitudes of spirits. Absolutely disgusting. Starting to hate these events more and more.
-
Nobody wants to play survivor, take a guess why. :)
-
Agree, he's extremely overtuned. Hilarious they rework him like this and ignore things like clown + leatherface.
-
Everyone keeps saying "OPTIMAL" like that's a massive majority of the survivors. News flash, it's not. In fact most of them are bad.
