I will say that it is in your best interest not to watch a TTV player you're going up against. A lot of them are just outwardly abrasive for no reason and projecting their own frustrations with the game onto the other side. They just want to take a piss on the other side for even bothering to log onto the game but I've found that TTV players with viewers tend to act more reasonable since they have an audience.

The best TTV players are the ones that either run solo queue and talk to their chat or just talk to their friends they're playing with about other things rather than the game. People who play public matches to sweat are prone to spewing words out of their mouth because they get outplayed or otherwise have the game not go in their favor.

Personally I LOVE watching back a vod of a TTV'er going against me. I can study my mistakes, study what made them sweat, pluss I just like to hear them talk about me. Maybe I'm just vain...

And see things like "Huh, where did they go when i lost them at this loop?"

  • I don't get the joke in the false 'TTV' sterotype. Is it some famous You Tuber that everyone is parroting the lie that TTV increases the odds a person is toxic?

I personally have gone against at least 30 or 40 TTV's so there is a VERY low chance that if this sterotype were real that none would be toxic... none were toxic.

Now am I meant to beilive I just got lucky... FORTY TIMES IN A ROW or that everyone else is over exaggerating👻?

  • Over all you definatly get more PB per match as killer. Not only does the math just work out that way but you're in the gamr the full match every time, it also sould be noted that aside from very specific times in most cases a killer will be in the next match quicker. AND you're earning perks as you unlock teachable. If there is an over all difference its negligible.

  • I see no reason why the killer's ping should not be known in lobby. I support.

Considering that you're attacking the killer they play instead of discussing the actual topic here, you're proving that the majority of pig mains are toxic. It's well known throughout the entire Dbd community that there's a lot of Pig players who play very scummy every game.

I'd rather go against fifty hags than a single Pig because there's a 90% chance they will tunnel me off-hook and camp my body for the rest of the game for no reason at all.

Please explain how this 1 post made by 1 person proving the majority of pig players are toxic. A majority must be 51% or more. How is 1 player 51%?

  • DCing is the wrong choice every time. The five minute penalty is probably roughly the same, if not more than the rest of the game will last. So you don't get in another game quicker.

DCing ensures you get 0 BP and no matter how bad you do you'll earn more than 0 BP.

DCing ensures a double de-pip so if you care about rank (You shouldn't btw) then staying in the match for only 1 de-pip is always the better choice.

  • Pig is underated imo. I always see her near the bottom of tear lists but I have *never* escaped against a pig and thought 'wow, that was easy' Toss in the fact that you can't leave the trial if you have a party hat on...

Trail of Torment is underrated imo. An on-demand undetectable status that can last a very long time and you can move anywhere you want with it.

Resilience. A flat 9% buff to everything. Often times having to stay injured isn't a big deal. If you have 1 or 0 hooks you're pretty safe, and if the killer has an insta-down power or perk then it doesn't matter that you're injured. Hit one or two great skill checks with resilience and and you can bang out a solo gen in no time.

  • If they harrass you on Steam you can either block or report them or both. Once they've gone to your Steam profile thoes actions are under the moderation of Steam and not Behavior.

  • I wonder how many of the people complain about solo Que people are the same survivors that make other people complain about solo que. Seems like with so many people saying its the other randoms are the ones throwing that there should be few people throwing.

  • A strong comunity infuerstructure is one of the most valuable assets a game can have. I hope costum icons can stay by some means.

I've never heard of a yellow mori countering anything.

I'm not sure how to explain this in a more simple way that does not sound condescending... You see, DS can only be activated when a killer picks up the suvivor. With the yellow more you do not have to have every picked them up to kill them. Do you understand now?

I'm still pretty new, and don't have any red level mori's yet. What other options can I try?

Not red, yellow. Red requires you've hooked (and there for picked up) a survivor. But yellow only requires they are the last survivor.

  • @Yords said:

You don't because you can't. Slugging will mitigate it, but it is not a counter. And no just "stop tunneling" is not a counter either. Kind of sucks, but they are going to nerf it in the next chapter (I really hope so).

'can't' huh you should have read my responce as I listed 5 ways to counter it :)

  • If the game was not free when the servers were turned off I would agree. The only requirement is that the game is in your librarry. Not that you've played it. SO technically you fulfill the stated requirement.

  • Exicutoiner can hard-counter DS by sending a survivor to a game without having to pick them up.

The ability to mori also counter's DS. Be it from the cypress mori that onlt needs the last survivor and requires no previous hooks, or from the likes of say devour hope.

If trapper or hag you might set a trap near by then pick them up and see if you get lucky.

  • -Actully idk if its ok to post this-

  • Resident Evil would be an amazing choice...

    But hear me out...

    Seymour Krelboyne survivor

    Skidrow map

    Audrey II killer!

  • As far as I can tell the 'toxic' level of the community is a greatly exaggerated streotype that I've only run into once or twice. The majority of my end game and pre-game on the rare times I play survivor, are friendly.

  • tbh I don't feel like DS is all that OP? Granted as a killer I've only peeked at rank 12... But I personally don't feel I've ever unfairly lost a game to DS. If anything on certain maps head on is more OP than DS.

Edit: Though it could be worth mentioning that I DO play a lot of of P-head, so I've likely denied more than a few DS's

  • Well you say 'majority' but have 51% of players voiced an opinion?

  • +1

at first I hooked 2 survivors seprately (Killer shack basment Oni's map) and then I thought 'Ok, it must have to be at the same time.'

So I had 2 in the basement at the same time another game and still nothing. (Main building basement Redwoods) Please fix, I'm actually super interested to know how Evan became The Trapper! Sure I could jut look it up but I wanna earn the story.

  • This is dumb, can't I just buy it?

  • Yes! 'Small Game' is one I run. It detects traps and totems. Very nifty.

  • IDK. Certain games just seem to attract grieifers. Some times its because its a highly griefable game, but this kinda isn't as you don't have all that much control over other players. HOWEVER players of this game seem to be rather easily tilted by even non-greifing actions. THAT, my friend, will certainly attract griefers.

The best thing you can do is not be mad, or if you are, don't show it. Try not to play differantly, don't be tilted in end game chat, make them wonder if you even noticed. Spread the word and if enough people do this they will move on.

  • I wanna see a debate between this guy and one of the people complain how weak the new killer is.

But if you're having trouble with suvivor I would say maybe try killer for a bit? Change it up, maybe you're just tired. Or play something else for a week. Try Stardew Valley or something.

  • Hardest part of playing survivor isn't escaping the trial. Its escaping the que XD

  • I want her gen perk. Oppression would pair will with Trial of Torment.

Which is most of the time I think. Lockers are pretty common (if they weren't Huntress would be in trouble.)

I wonder how many people were trying to brag this when it was corrected on release.

  • Can just go ahead and grab em and they'll stop appearing.

  • @dugman said:

I’m holding off at least until they implement the change to how Victor interacts with lockers. The dev blog mentioned that won’t be in the initial release but is coming later. Without that fix a survivor can just duck in a locker and there’s nothing Victor can do about it.

*if a locker happens to be near by and they can get to it in time.

Seriously dude? You couldn't even name one game which most gamers have heard of.

lol you didn't expect them to be able to answer you so you change the parameters of the request? That seems unfair. Also the old 'If I havn't heard of obviously the majortiy of people haven't' weak as cardboard comeback? REALLY? Come on man, resorting to that makes you look desperate. Almost like you have no counter argument.

  • @FrustratedKillerMain said:

I queued up earlier today with crossplay on as Trapper. My SWF senses were going off as all four were PC (I'm PS4), two had the same skins and a name motif. I almost dodged but thought that would be cowardly. They burn a farm offering. I load in and see an OoO. I immediately DC. All rank 1 full meta. I know there's no way to take the situation into account on a DC, but it sucks I got locked out of matchmaking because I didn't just endure that well-balanced match

You need to not put so much stock in winning and loosing. 'Oh I'm probably gonna loose, better DC' is absoultly babyish and I don't think you can convince me otherwise.

  • Because it shows you're a baby, throwing his sucker in the dirt because you're loosing. If this game can get you so mad that the only way to deal with it is to DC then this game is not for you. You start a match you finish it. You struggle to the last hp, you crawl away even if you only make if 1 meter. You struggle on the way to the last hook, even if its like 4 feet away.

As killer you activly patrol even if all gens are done and 4 suvivors are left. You dash into the exit gate to try and hit em 1 last time. You play until the clock hits 0:00

Anything less is BM. As a killer or survivor I will play my absolute best until the the results screen pops up and I expect the same from my opponates. I expect this in ANY game. If I'm playing SC I'm gonna keep defending until my last building/unit is gone: as I expect you to. In SMITE I'm gonna fight until my titan has 0 hp. I expect the enemy to do the same.

  • Every match is agains a team of 4 swf rank 1's? Well far be it for me to accuse you of over exaggerating but that sounds like bad luck for sure!

  • Killers who face camp will just keep getting 1ks and 0ks until they learn camping is a terrible strategy that doesn't win games. Went against a face camping Myres we got 4 gens done with almost 0 pressure. He chases me at 1 gen left when the person on hook finally dies but guess what? I still have ALL my resources, exhaustion is ready, all pallets still on the map, Adrenalin comes in clutch and he gets a 1k.

I was face camped against a Billy same thing. He camps me the others do 4 gens with no pressure and he gets a 1k. The only way killers stop camping is they learn its a terrible start that looses games.

  • @jzinsky said:

For those saying Jason, candyman, pennywise etc, how would they work and how would they be different? I mean don't we already have a guy with a big knife and what's someone going to do with a mouthful of bees?

(I haven't seen the films btw)

I'd like someone who shakes up the mechanic. Maybe someone who needs 3 hits to down, or can't touch survivors but has to make traps. Or someone who moves much faster at the cost of being slower when carrying a downed survivor and more affected by wiggle.

I feel like pennywise would be some gimick with the ballons or sewer grate fast travel.

Someone totally out of left field is always likely. Smash speculation has taught me to never rule out a totally left field pick like... idk Bendy. Or Terraria nymph, maybe she could disguise as a survivor.

  • Doctor, I don't even care that he's not the strongest killer, or even that he doesn't kill me as often as others his power is so obnoxious and distracting. He just gets under my skin like no other killer does. Like any other killer downs me I'm like 'oh... darn.' Doctor downs me I'm like 'God dammit, free pressure BS, don't even have to aim your power stupid grating laugh mother #########.'

  • Yeah! People think I'm crazy for saying killer is more fun! I mean yeah, maybe the simplcity of the survivor role makes it technically easier but if you're good with one survivor you're good with all of them (Quite literally)

I think there could be some small buff if they were given another objective. Maybe they have to find the lever to the exit gate or something? Oh hey thats good! I might play more survivor in that case. ATM I only play survivor if a ritual or rift challange wants me to. Lol and I'm even more likely to reroll the survivor rituals. XD

  • You'll see a lot of 'toxic' or 'BMing' survivors of anyone in the base game simply because more people will play them. There's not a lot of incentive to play multiple survivors so simply by chance with the sheer number of players playing the survivors you start with there will be a high number of BMers.

I would not say its a pattern more like probability. If 9/10 (Random example number) players play a particular character then there will by sheer chance be a high number of trolls.

  • Why does everyone pretend that as Trapper you spend like 3 or 4 minutes just setting traps at the start of the match without chasing or patrolling? Is there some meme I don't know where people pretend they don't know the way to play Trapper is setting traps as you patrol and in between chases?

You're fist point is destroied, lets move on.

Huntess, ok that complaint HAS to be you trolling. I'm a yellow rank killer and have no trouble reloading on swamp maps so I can only guess this is you lying for the sake of a meme.

The myers complaint assumes everyone is running a single perk, which already invalidates it. You also under estimate having no TR.

The Hag complaint is something already fixed so you simply included it to artifically inflate your complaints and make it seem like you have more than you do...

Doctor's hallucinations are not meant to be convincing, their meant to be distracting.

How am I doing so far?

  • Pennywise would be dope. I could see that happening. I think there's room for two clowns, but if I had to guess more likely, Jason.

  • Don't DC

Don't heal in my exit gate, I will down you and hook you if I catch you doing it.

  • So many people putting words in OP's mouth. They never said the killer should go easy on them. I'm not sure if they changed their post and you're reacting to what was there before... or if you just miss-clicked... but you're responding to points they didn't even make. C'mon folks lets stay on topic and not hurl insults in response to pints that were never made.

  • @Zarr0ch said:

    Quite possibly.

On the flip side, I have seen a large increase in the number of killers that are aura hacking in the last week or so, its getting ridiculous, they are so blatant about it as well, which makes me think they dont expect to get caught

You're sure its not just an under-used perk like Spys or all ears?

  • The game kind of encourages you to tunnel off-hook. Say the suvivors split up, you find one, down them and hook em. You go kick the gen they were working on, and patrol a near by gen when you hear the notification.

    Now you have three choices.

1: Ignore them and patrol another gen because you might be taking too much time on these two.

2: Go after the rescurer, this will make two play's next hook be the struggle hook, putting on a bit more pressure.

3: Go after the one who was just unhooked, and get them to the struggle hook.

option 3 is very tempting because the survivor will A typically still be injured, and B you know you can catch them because you've done it at least once.

If the player unhooking does so in my direct line of sight, I usually go with 2 to punish them for being so brasin.

  • 'dropping pallet early is a counter' Except Legion can vault. Try again.

  • @ZaKzan said:

the vast majority of their time is spent on new content. There's no time to fix existing bugs before more bugs are implemented into the game. DBD isn't coded very well to begin with, so this makes it even harder to properly fix

Oh neet! Do you code addons for the game or something like that? What language does it use?

  • My current goal is to put Nurse's calling on P-head.

  • Killer is WAY more fun!

But it is crazy that suvivor ques are longer. Not sure what you can do... I mean already each match takes 4 survivors our of que vs 1 killer. So even if there were FOUR TIMES as many people queuing survivor it should be about equal. I wonder what the ratio is...

1 2 3 4 5
