That's factually incorrect. You must not have been around when brand new parts would just flat out complete a gen.

Come on man. That was ages ago back when you could mori a surv for downing he/she for the first time or siringes were able to fully heal you.

Then I have bad news for you because If there's one thing these last 2 patches have shown us it's that we aren't ever addressing tunneling.

I'm ok with that since there was already two tries to address tunneling and NONE in all the game lifespan to address gen rushing. As long as this is not addressed I hope tunneling never leaves DbD.
Being tunneled makes me become a better surv in a fast pace than a "regular chase".

I look forward to seeing you in posts whining about gen rushing informing the OP that they just need to get good and that it isn't something they have a right to complain about.

Or you could try and understand there's a difference between a gen and a survivor player. Gens don't load into a match with an expectation that they'll get to engage in some gameplay beyond going straight to hook, then back to hook, then back to hook or mori. Gens don't have to be clairvoyant and psychically know whether they'll be slugged or tunneled prior to a match when they pick their perks. A gen isn't annoyed if they get pushed out of a match at the exclusion of all other gens.

Doing something to a gen is not doing something to a player character.

By rushing gens you do exactly the same to the killer.
You expect to play a match, get your time respected only for you to lose FAST and go back to queue because you didn't had time to even play the match properly.
    It's exactly the same thing.
Gen rush and tunnel should be addressed at the same time. Both are forms of exerting huge pressure in not a fun way.

There will always be something that people can point to and say "you're not allowed to address tunneling until you address this." At some point we need to realize that delaying an issue for side A cannot constantly take the back seat to issues for side B. You change both at once, and then continue to make adjustments as needed. By all means, also implement changes to toolboxes. Don't pretend killer players and their complaints are ontologically more important than survivor players and that all killer players wants must be met before survivor players get anything for the most persistent complaint their side has seen over the entire history of the game

Gen rushing and tunneling should indeed be addressed at the same time.
Thing is this is the 2nd try to just fix one side instead of both at the same time.

but when survivors rush their objective it's completely fine?

There's already been multiple nerfs to it, actually. All of which went down without a hitch.

The only thing was increasing the charges from 80 to 90.
Gens perks and toolboxes can still be stacked. Gens can be finished solo in 30s and with a partner in 20s.
Hens WR of fast escaping is ridiculous. This should never be possible.
Why Hyperfocus + Stakeout is still a thing?

  • @MoZo said:

So now that we know what’s coming in 9.3.0, all there needs to be said is that this was a waste of a chapter delay. 9.3 is such a nothing burger with minor quality of life changes and tweaks that could’ve been added with a regular chapter update. we are told there are double “bug fixes” from the ptb to live but with bhvr’s recent track record, im very skeptical on if these bugs are even 100% fixed. that’s a wrap on 2025 dbd apparently, hopefully 2026 will bring promised changes and the January chapter better be worth the wait.

If they delayed such big chapter that much I don't want to see the messy state it would've come if it launched next Tuesday.
And I still think that when this DLC releases there's a high chance of another TWD disaster happening again.

  • @ratcoffee said:

I know the devs said it feels "hand holdy" or whatever, but between all the big content creators who have said they think that was the way to go (Scott Jund, Otzdarva, OhTofu, SpooknJukes, etc) I think it's fair to say that implementing such a system and tweaking the activation conditions (e.g. activates on a kill without 4-5 hooks instead of 6) would be a solid way of admitting they were out of touch while trying to address both the things that make Killers feel they need to tunnel and the things that make seeing your teammate tunneled as Survivor particularly helpless.

Gens are still done too damn fast on their own and there's no cap on how a toolbox and gen perks can stack.
Until this is addressed there's nothing that can be done to make tunneling less appealing.
If you're not a killer player like Lilith Omen 8 hooking before killing any surv is basically playing/asking to lose.

  • @BlackRabies said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4030143#Comment_4030143

Then try to answer this why should killer players be punished for rushing or just doing their objective, but when survivors rush their objective it's completely fine?

If your getting hard tunneled then it's something you just have to accept since your never meant to run for 5 gens. It's up to your skill how much of the killer's time you can waste and hope they drop chase.

    EXACTLY!
Hens played with the guys from Korea and said they are pretty good.
"The best anti-tunnel is being good at looping"

About the gen rush… I kinda gave up at this point.
You never see the DEVs address this and to this day you there's still no cap to gen perks and toolboxes on how fast you can complete a gen. Why Hyperfocus + Stakeout is still a thing?!

like what?? I’ve played the game for weeks and honestly have not seen any game breaking issues on levels of twins or nemesis update

If you sum all the killer bugs it will be something like 200 of them.
Twins and Knight are eternally bugged.
I can say right now about the killers I play (Wesker and Dracula):

    -Dracula:

1-Following Wolf Pounces can simply bug out and not happen at all.
2-If you mori while in Wolf Form sometimes the camera will zoom out the entire map much like the on The Sims.
3-AND if this previous bug occur there's a chance that you'll be lagged out for the rest of the match and be so damn slow like a 50% Hindered.

    -Wesker:

1-You touch a surv and the game still does not register it as a grab. How can you miss a grab if you do it in a close space like the one that a pallet can be dropped.
2-Sometimes he will release/drop a surv mid grab ON A PLAIN TERRAIN as if he passed over a hole/cliff.
3-Countless times you'll see the throw surv slide on a surface without taking damage.
4-The damn bug that makes possible for survs to vault right back after him vaulting something without getting slapped.

fr. the would have to quintuple the bugfixes to even put a dent in the amount of bugs that plague this game. and even with all that, there’s a possibility that there’s the same number of new bugs as the ones being fixed.

Once again your all fickle even if they listen to the feedback and not push through you will still complain

Double the bug fixes is NOT NEARLY enough.
There's A LOT of bugs between almost all killers.

Shanoa is just a cosplay for Yui, BUT I too would like that instead of this we indeed got a Legendary Shanoa.

I believe due to the quantity of bugs from the latest PTB there's a chance we get another TWD situation next Tuesday.

Must be a bug but hard to tell if they will keep it or wont fix it and let it be some weeks or month in live after release of 9.3.0 but there are other things like pinhead is almost unplayable with his power and other bs thing as cherry on top of this whole survivor buff patch.

Showing my age, but I'm from the time where you'd get to the final level of the original Super Mario Bros, die, and have to go all the way back to level 1. The internet wasn't a thing, so none of us knew any different back then. I think the popularity of shorts, reels, and tiktoks have created a generation with a need for instant gratification. People aren't keen on investing time to learn. DBD isn't that sort of game. From recent releases and reworks (both killer and survivor) though, I think they're trying to lean that way.

My first console was the original NES, so I know what you mean. XD
That's what I'm afraid of too: DbD becoming a braindead experience where any imbecil with 47 IQ can be a good surv.
Killers like Kaneki and Krasue with the auto-aim on her spit also makes me believe killers will go the same way.

  • DbD becoming more braindead is getting on my nerves too.
I hate young people SO MUCH! Most people from my generation like to understand and learn things instead of mindlessly smash buttons, but the vastly majority from these younglings these days seems to only want to play with their undeveloped brains turned off.
I made a mod for Stellar Blade that messes up with the same table that has the values for the dodge and parry windows.
They have a default value of 0.19 and I had imbeciles asking me to make a variation of my mod that increased these windows by FIVE TIMES. A WHOLE SECOND for you to make a perfect dodge or parry?! God damn it! Go learn how to play the game!

  • @Hannacia said:

I've stopped playing killer due to multiple reasons.

    • Most of the killers i normally play are always bugged somehow, and behaviour takes too long to fix killer bugs.
    • Pallet density. I tried playing killer after the new pallet density, and it was miserable. Now multiple maps give me the same feeling as badham always gives me due to knowing how many strong tiles there is that you can join together.
    • Survivor toxicity. Getting bagged, bullied and called names in endgame chat ,no matter how well or poorly you did. I know i can close the endgame chat and not see whatever is being said, but that already shows how bad the game is if you have to do that to have fun.
    • Survivors getting basekit perks, while killers get 15 seconds of bloodlust and minor brutal strenght which i personally never even noticed.
    • Having to use the same 4-6 perks, just to keep the game going long enough to get few kills. Can't use fun perks or have interesting builds because you know its highly likely that gens will go too fast if you don't have pain res, pop, dead man switch ..you know the deal.
    • Even while having gen defense perks the gens are going by too fast.
    • Sounds in game. I enjoy playing spirit, but the game has way too loud chase music, too many notification sounds that are loud and survivors love spamming them. When you sacrifice a survivor the part where entity takes them away is so loud and so long lasting i can't hear my own thoughts.
    • You have to play spirit on lower fps to hear properly and even then the sounds are inconsistent.
    • Playing killers like ghoul and krasue gets you insulted.
    • Windows of Opportunity being in every game. This perk alone extends chases and now with the new pallet density all most survivors do is run from yellow to yellow. Chases feel boring and same all the time, and most of the time even bad survivor can extend a chase with that perk alone by finding a strong pallet.
    • Killers are getting punished of playing certain ways, but instead of teaching newer or less skillful survivors and killers basics of the game or making a mode where lets say under 100 hour players can play together and learn the game, you restrict killers from doing something that can help them win the game. (I'm not talking about 5 gen tunneling btw).

There is so many reasons i stopped enjoying playing killer, but these are the main reasons for me.

    edit: fixed one line.

One of these days I was gonna end my DbD play and then realized that this stupid loud noise when The Entity claims a surv bugged out and nothing was playing in it's place.
I've decided to play until I got to sleep to enjoy it as much as possible.

  • I'm too damn competitive, so I'm always playing multiplayer games.
Honestly the reason I still play this game is because Wesker and Castlevania's Dracula are available as killers the same way I've played Smash Bros Ultimate A LOT when Sephiroth got in.
Also DbD is an unique game at some gameplay points that you don't find in other multiplayer/games as service.

BUT I'm getting tired of A LOT of things that keep happening between the four years I play this game and they are getting to a point that I'm definitely uninstalling if a couple more drops are added to this already filled bucket.

-The total obliviousness from BHVR about their own game is the major issue that causes A LOT of the other problems. They clearly lie when they say they are in love for this game because I doubt most of them have more than 20 hours of gameplay.
-The now obvious bias toward survivors. These latest months we got more and more proofs of this. We have a lot of issues regarding this like WoO BY FAR being the most used perk in the entire game and it still doesn't have something like a cooldown after a vault or pallet drop while the most used killer perks keep getting gutted from time to time.
-The damn gens perks and toolboxes that can still stack to each other and NOTHING is being done about this. Rushing gens is such a stupid and braindead strategy that any moron can use and survs still think that if they beat you with this is a skill issue on the killer's end.
-All killer perks being mediocre while survs have A LOT of good ones.
-Cheaters: BHVR refuses to make all actions server-sided and buy the license for the better EAC. I never faced a killer that I was suspicious was cheating, but survs… DAMN!
-Killer bugs that goes FOR YEARS.
-Can't use fun builds. If you don't run meta you'll definitely lose, specially after this atrocious pallet "QoL".
-Always having to improve as killer while survivor gets more braindead with each update to a point you can't improve enough to get to the same pace.
-WHY there are still bully squads?! There's LITERALLY a bully team in Asia that play almost everyday 10 to 12 hours just to bully killers and they stream this! God damn it!

Aside from the first item the rest is not in a order of importance per say.

They fixed 58 bugs, and probably gonna bring 59.

DeathSlinger hit now can go through survivors if they standing still

Azarov don’t have shadows and reflection on interactive objects

    Resurgence stack with new Wicked

Pretty sure we also gonna have bugs with new anti slug and anti camp feature. Matter of time to discover.

By the way. They can say it was “fixed” and that's not actually happened. Judge by Executioner bug on Lerry and DeathSlinger aiming animation

I'm expecting something even worse than that.

  • How cute.
You think the cheaters situations will be fixed.

  • @Rwby said:

First of all, before any of you argue against me: I am a survivor main. I basically only play killer because my best friend refuses to play survivor while 2v8 is online. But I noticed something urgent in both killer and survivor rounds.

Most of the time, survivors only pick Escapist or Scout, because these categories are broken as hell.
    Why do I think so?
Sprint Burst isn’t automatic but on a button, and as Scout you can reload pallets infinitely. This shouldn’t be a thing.

For example, bind the boost to automatic sprint like in the main game and remove the ability to recharge it while in chase or while running in general. Bind it to exhaustion and it’s fine — not too strong, not too weak. Maybe a longer recharge time depending on how many people play that class.

Now for Scout: give every pallet a limit on how many times it can be rebuilt. Maybe three times — that should do the trick. If it runs out, survivors actually have to think about when to rebuild a specific pallet. I especially noticed in my survivor rounds that pallets are being wasted like nothing, because it doesn’t matter anyway; someone will just rebuild it, so why care? Just drop everything behind you, it’ll be back up in no time. That’s not very balanced. Not at all.

The number of remaining rebuilds could be shown by the pallet’s aura or displayed on-screen with a prompt. And to be clear, I’m only talking about rebuilding pallets, not resetting them with Any Means Necessary.

Another point: either increase the time gens need to be powered or increase the total number of gens to ten. There have been too many rounds where I could sit alone on a gen, without any other survivor, and still finish it in a single go. When three or four Escapists are on a gen, one of them just needs to pop the boost and everyone gets away. The killer can only chase one, maybe two if both killers are together. That means the others will be back on the gen immediately and rush it like a marathon. That’s boring. As a survivor main, I find it boring, broken, and I honestly feel pity for the killers who can’t keep up with this rush. I still wonder why everything in this mode is doubled except the gens…
Also, give the gates an additional 10 seconds. That’s enough. Right now, it only takes two survivors at a gate to swap roles whenever a killer comes, and both will escape.

And one more thing: change the time it takes for inactive survivors to gain crows. I’ve seen way too many survivors who find a key and then refuse to do anything else. That’s not helpful or cooperative. Also, adjust the hook timer. Make it a bit longer. I’ve seen way too many people die on second or even first hook while six survivors are still alive and doing nothing.

It made me MAD after I discovered that gens in this mode have 70 charges.
    6 1v4 gens = 540 charges
    8 2v8 gens = 560 charges

    What. The. F!

Liked all your suggestions and would like to add:

-After the gens are finished killers should get notifications to where the cages spawn and it should not teleport away. They also shouldn't TP anywhere near gates.

-REMOVE THIS STUPID COMEBACK MECHANIC! Just now Me and a Wraith got robbed of a victory because the 4 survs remaining finished the last two gens right at our faces while they had two hooks each. These guys didn't deserved to escape/they didn't do it by using their brains and skills. Also there's the fact that both sides are bypassing it in pretty stupid ways (killers tunnel and survs pop too much gens at once).

-BUFF WEAK KILLERS or ones that weren't buff enough like Nemesis, Deathslinger and Pyramid.

Also things not related to gameplay exactly:

    -Remove the 40K points cap.
-Give points for the classes actions like rebuilding pallets, using the Medic Heal and etc.
-Make emblems work so we can get pips.

I haven't enjoyed playing killer at all in this 2v8 so i found this survey really bad. No questions for killers why they might find parts of the mode bad, just for survivors.

I personally havent been bothered about the killer queues, after adding the possibility to play as a survivor while queueing as a killer, but whats bothering me is the unbalance in this mode. I don't have fun anymore. Not as a survivor or as a killer. As a survivor i escape most of my matches and as a killer i feel horrible playing against fast gens and button pressed sprint burst.

    @Brisingr said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4028624#Comment_4028624

This right here. I don't like playing killer anymore, either, because the gens go too fast without any killer perks to slow them down.

They need to probably slow gen speeds more aggressively when the killers have few hooks.

It's pretty bad indeed. I'm also considering stop playing 2v8 before the mode ends.
Survs are abusing/bypassing the comeback mechanic by 99% gens and popping 2 to 4 at once to avoid the speed reduction.
And it doesn't help that the 8 70 charge gens from 2v8 are basically the same as 6 1v4 gens.
Matches fly, survs t=bag you and say ez at the Endgame chat like if they needed any skill to escape in this mode.

I played mostly killer in 2v8. Survivor in 2v8 is so boring I didn't even use the play while you wait most of the time.

That said, when the question came up asking my experience with 2v8, I said I played mostly killer, then I got questions from the standpoint of having played mostly killer.

I still got questions about playing survivor as well. The killer questions were worded almost exactly the same as the survivor questions.

So the complaint that the survey didn't have questions regarding the killer point of view is simply your experience and not everyone's. Some of us did get those questions.

That would be a first. Didn't got those because I play some surv every 2v8 iteraction.
The uninstall survey by other hand no matter what you answer there's none regarding what may be bothering killers.
You could also say that this 2v8 surv only ask questions about survivors to focus on ways to make them play 2v8 to reduce queues, but BHVR team already passed the point of suspicious/everything is in the open.

  • Hey.
I've just finished the survey and, again, there's not a single mention or question on what killers don't like, only survivors.
    No surprises here.
What about 1/3 of the roster haven't received barely any buff, SB on command, comeback mechanic (just by itself is bad) being abused and having to only make the equivalent of 6 1v4 gens to power the gates?!
    What about those?!

  • @BongoBoys said:

2v8 has to be the survivor sided gamemode to keep them playing yeah it suck for Killer but just treat it as a causal chaotic gamemode they could tweak some things like on demand SB or buff the weaker killers like Slinger.

    Casual is one thing.
Braindead is another totally different. SB on button + having to make 6 1v4 gens is too damn easy.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/460475/remove-the-anti-snowball-from-2v8-now-its-being-heavily-abused-by-survivors

The whole mechanic is kinda messed up TBH. It actually punishes killers for not tunneling and rewards them for tunneling since its about unique hooks. The best way for killers to deal with it is to just tunnel someone out instead of spreading hooks.

Sadly is what I do in every match. Hard tunnel.
Is that or you can't win at all.

  • @Brimp said:

Yeah been saying this since they made sprint burst on demand. Does anyone really find it fun when a survivor can just activate a perk for free distance regardless of skill?

Sadly we have people who enjoy ZERO skill and challenge in any game these days.

  • WAIT!
There's people advocating IN FAVOR of this pallet increase crap?!
DAMN! Surv is becoming more braindead with each patch. This increased pallet "QoL" made noobs being able to not care about resource management. They just need to keep dropping pallet, after pallet, after pallet and they are good.
I'm going away from they surv role more and more because I'm getting bored on how easy it's becoming.
And the poor killer bastards B tier and below… GhostFace is so bad that here in my country we started calling him GhostFácil (fácil being our word for easy).

  • All my 2v8 matches are too damn intense because survs are giga powered, specially with the braindead crap that is this Sprint Button on demand/button (cocky bastards that think they are great survs, but it's funny that after you catch up with them most can't loop a totem).
I have to tunnel hard because of the stupid comeback mechanic and the fact they double everything EXCEPT gens (only need to do 6 1v4 gens to escape). There's no way to win otherwise.
And talking about the comeback crap survs lately started to abuse it by letting gens 99% and only popping them after some hooks to not get any penalty, which leads killer to tunnel even more.

  • @random1543 said:

yes teleporting the cages right next to open doors is so silly, survivors can unhook and run out but i dont think a unhook notification would help as they can already just run out by time you can get there.

True, but at least killers wouldn't waste time going to the wrong place.

  • What motivates survivors to play is new content and they don't have anything new since the 2nd iteration.
Create 20 more classes and add 2 or 3 each time 2v8 comes back and we are DEFINITELY reducing queue times.

  • Exactly.
You were downvoted by people wanting the easy wins this comeback crap gives.

I agree from killers only half is playable and for survivor team to not get 4 or minimaly 2 escapes it requires bad decisions from survivors and less skill or bad rng, for killers mostly huge skill from duo and coordination so they dont leave space for survivors to rush them.

I had game where oni with nurse (probably best I have seen in long time she missed few blinks that match but all her blinks were successful on me exept one) had massive snowball nurse just hit everyone and oni got power fast and kept getting it very often through the match especialy early on, we had like first survivors dead hook on 6 gens left and almost everyone exept like one or two survivors have been hooked once and still we rushed them with speed bonus and got 5 man out, they hardly got 3 kills and almost 4 but if there wasnt that speed buff then we would loose on 3 gens left max.

Already escaped in this kind of situation more than once.
Killers were pretty good and still were rewarded with a loss because of comeback for survs.

Still it favors survivors near endgame and if they have numbers they can rush you, I would get it if this worked to some gen number and cage number and then it would shut of compleatly and be just normal repair speed without any buffs (or debuffs but near gates on few gens left this still wont help killers).

Just had so many games where I preformed great with killer I played with and still we got rushed and minimaly twice more where killers snowball us and it looked we will loose on 5 gens left some even dc but still we rushed it to gates and got 4+ survviors out on average which is nuts but real. What annoys me more are killers that are underpowered like nemesis or slinger, trapper, ghostface because if you look at their buffs funnily strongest or stronger killers got biggest buffs and the weaker ones or mid killers got smalles like on sliger you got only some reload addon which isnt even the best of its kind and reeling speed addon into your kit dam even nemi hasnt marvins blood which is mystery to me why when survivors cure way more often than in 1v4 and he needs not only tier 2 fast but tier 3 asap because in 2v8 his tenticle is joke comapre to huntress hatchets.

Survivor is basically auto-pilot in 2v8 now and indeed only half the killer roster is viable.

While yes Survivor should be getting new classes (Boon Class Devs cough) and a if possible Rework to guide class since it doesn't do anything but be a meme class.

Furthermore Legion being removed has made a positive effect on making matches more tolerable and making people want to continue playing 2v8 where as last iteration after facing 50 legions matches and never wanting to touch the mode ever again.

Ps oh yeah we can bring back fog Crystals or bring back herbs for RPD map only in 2v8

    NO!
Never bring these accursed herbs EVER AGAIN unless some changes are made.
This mode is basically auto-pilot for survs already while the killers are only two steps to get a mental breakdown after every match on how much stuff they need to do and manage.

The gens will skyrocket because there is -2,5% speed each time gen is compleated and +2,5% repair speed when 2 survivors are caged I think so only smart and evil play is to tunnel some survviors fast early on because having 1 or 2 survivors dead on 4 gens left is way better than having one hook on every survivor and one guy is dead hook. So best way to actualy get much higher chance to win and have no fear from preforming to well so survivors will just get speed bonus to gens and rush you in no time is to tunnel in 2v8 too sadly.

    That's what I do.
Hard tunnel. There's no way to win 2v8 as killer without doing it unless the survs are actually people with 48 IQ.
When I realized survs need to do only 6 1v4 gens to escape it made me SO MAD…

changes aren't made in a vacuum; mechanics like the comeback system affect player bhvr, in this case makes them 99 gens. if that got removed surely the gen speeds would be looked at.

or maybe instead of hooks it could work based off deaths to encourage spreading out hooks, a grave sin for killers in 2v8.

    EXACTLY!
In 2v8 the gens could skyrocket AFTER someone dies.
If you're not Lilith Omen you can't 16 hooks before start killing survs or you'll lose by a gigantic margin.

I'm not exactly a fan of this kind of efficient metagaming but I'm glad others are finally catching on.

    yellow bars for all!

    Come on man.
Aren't killers suffering enough already in 2v8? :(

How dare people "abuse" smart plays.

I have to agree that this is playing smart much like killers tunneling survs out to also bypass this crap.
Another reason for the crutch to be removed.

Great idea! Let’s make those queue times even longer!

The issue with queue times is the lack of new things for survivor.
Legion got removed and the queues are exactly the same. Almost every iteration we have new killers and maps, but survs get ZERO classes, items or whatever.

Also if 2v8 is suppose to be this turbo gen simulator that's being these days then you can go ahead and shut it down and never bring it back.

I also like to play Dracula, but I hate bringing gen defense perks because it's boring.

So I usually bring information perks to help me finding survivors to chase. But ever since they added so many pallets, now I'm bringing Brutal Strength, and maybe dissolution LOL

I used to be able to win most matches with a fun. stealth build with Wesker.
Not anymore. The "QoL" pallet update + the number of bugs he currently has had me also shift to this exact build I use with Dracula.
With The Dark Lord I used to run Endgame builds using the Alucard Shield add-on (another fun build) and try to win before the gens got completed to be able to say I won with just one add-on, but this also is not possible anymore.

A big problem I am facing in this mode are coordinated survivors and to be honest it is funny but busted as hell.

I told in another discussion about 2v8 that I played in a coordinated team and got nearly kicked out because I wanted to finish a gen early. The thing is the addaptive difficulty is abusable as hell and I hope to bring an eye on this.

If you don´t finish a gen and the Killers hook survivors the other gens get a speed boost and you only need to tap your gen once you get the penality.

I don´t want to talk about the medic nukes …

I saw this post of your in the other thread.
God damn it… that may be the reason some matches feels unwinnable.
Yesterday I had one that we were doing good and out of nowhere the last 3 gens got completed in a 2s spam time.

Personally I've always thought a single perk slot for every person would be good.

Maybe there could also be a system like (This'll be a weird pull) in sonic racing crossworlds where certain perks grant additional benefits to certain classes. In that game gadgets like the handling vehicle kit works best on handling cars, perks like chemtrap could charge faster on guide for instance (since that class already uses traps). Perks like SB or DS should be reworked I think but other than that I think it'd flesh out the 2v8 experience a bit more, without requiring copious hours gathering perks.

    Simply NO!
Survs would always use this perk slot for some crap like DH or DS.

  • @vol4r said:

Yes! We should take away good/fun things for surviviors, so our queue times take 1.5h for a single match!

Especially after we lowered BP gains. Spoiler: 1v4 gives you more BP with 3x BPS

Survs complained about Legion (a braindead killer) and it got removed, but they forgot to removed the other more braindead thing: SB on command.
The queue times for killers are EXACT the same for me now as the last two 2v8.

Survs need more new toys each iteration of 2v8. That's what gonna shrink the queues, not making them OP with OP abilities only needing to do the equivalent of 6 gens from 1v4 to escape, making killer experience pretty miserable lately.

  • Last BloodMoon was, again, another evt that was a HUGE waste of time.
Offering don't stack and only increase the specific scores for evt actions.

BUT this one evt had something unique that was the blood gens being complete trash to farm BP because they barely gave any BP for anything you had to do to repair them.
This made me play the entire evt on regular 1v4 and these were the best matches I had in solo queue EVER exactly because of that. Only good survs were playing 1v4 while the casual, new and /or stupid players were playing with the blood gens.

Also there's a difference in being casual and stupid and in solo queue you find A LOT of the latter.

    Not exactly.

Ruin + Undying + Thrill + Penti, if Survivors don't cleanse totem, you're basically playing with a single perk.

Trust me, good survivors can power through Ruin without much trouble, unless you're playing S-tier killer who can keep pushing people away from gens. Otherwise, traditional gen defense with Grim, DMS, PS, will give you more value.

That's why this is the exact build I always use with Dracula. Sometimes I replace Ruin with Devour.
Let me focus on the fun part of playing DbD: the chases.
