True, but the idea here is make more people aware that Lary can't be allowed to put pods close to Exit Gates.
-
I've managed to get all 4 Lary mains to come here and downvote me XD.

@Rokku_Rorru said:
Yeah IDK why they always nerf cool perk ideas because of a worst case scenario, rather than dealing with the problematic interaction itself.
Just turns the perk into a niche use for that one killer over it being useful to everyone.If Lary was popular at least (which wouldn't excuse it either), but you barely see this masterpiece in matches.

Thanks man. :) -
As a Wesker main who suffered this re-vault crap since his release I'm happy that this is also being fixed for him and that all "re-vaulters" are getting screwed for abusing this bug/getting what they deserve.
Most of people knew this was a bug and still kept exploiting this against Wesker.
I do agree that something should be done about Ghoul's Enraged vault since his Enraged state is nothing special since he's basically in it the entire match. -
@Junylar said:
Yes, this is the other half of the problem, the first being the absence of any sensible server-sided validation of client actions, making all kinds of cheats even possible. But they won't do anything: the recent DLC sold well, there is an ST character in every other game, so the playerbase is still 100% happy with the current state of the game, no point in fixing something that is not broken.
Sadly only few have the brains to vote with their wallets…
-
Look at the bright side: Legion can't use the most braindead build of the game (Spirit Fury, his add-on that break pallets on vault and the yellow one that recharges his power when pallet stunned).

Well devils advocate we do need more killers and classes for variety sake and the only killer that really needs a buff Is Slinger the other changes are unnecessary.
This guy is not a Devil's Advocate. Just a heavily biased surv main.

he's right though. why would I play 2v8 survivor when ST released? we don't know if vecna 2 will disappear like vecna 1, so I have no real desire to play when I'm feeling 1v4 FOMO
2v8 also doesn't have any of my favourite killers. why would I want to face killers I despise (Wraith, Oni, trapper) when I could play 1v4 and face wholesome Springtrap who is always a barrel of laughs?
JC Glitchmaster gave a good idea for the survs issue.
The true issue with survs not wanting to play is the lack of options (I kinda like it because I can play a lot of other survs that I have cool skins, but are only p3, but that's just me). What he proposed was let survs pick 3 perks that are NOT anti tunnel or Exhaustion ones.
AND we should be able to bring BP offerings to 2v8. -
@AerinRockstarTTV said:
I’d say we should have a more focus on killers and classes in 2v8 instead of reworking the same classes every iteration, And we should remove the Manuel sprint burst and change it to lithe, and buff killer classes idk why they needed to be changed to begin with, tho everything else is fine, and fix the maps and everything else to fit the 1v4 gameplay when it comes to gens speeds and map changes, also give killers unique addons instead of either nothing or making one randomly busted do this to all of them, give them unique addons like ya did Dracula and Wesker.
We don't need to buff killer in general. Only buff the ones that specifically got basically not in 2v8 like DeathSlinger.
Just stop giga buffing survs to a point it requires no skill to escape.
I can't play this mod anymore until some changes are made. Killer is too stressful and survs is too boring.
-Reworking the tonics to have them give something meaningful to killers.
-Increase gen charges back to 90 or make that you need to repair 10 of these 70 gens.
-Remove SB on button.
-Make so cages don't go near a opened gate (or any gate) when the gens are finished.
-REMOVE ANTI SNOWBALL
That would be a great start. -
@Skeleton23 said:
I swear on Survivor and Killer experience I see the Gens flying like there birds eating seeds off the ground.
How is the Killers supposed to Keep up with this like maybe experienced killers may keep up but how about the newer or the not so skill killer players.
So has anyone else noticed where Gens are basically done as the match literally started
They doubled everything EXCEPT gens.
You have to complete 8 to escape and 2v8 gens have 70 instead of 90 charges, so in reality you have to repair only 6 1v4 gens.
That and the fact survs are abusing/manipulating the anti snowball… -
I win most of my games as killer, but the stress it takes for it is not worth anymore.
As long as survs keep exploiting the anti snowball and have to do only 6 1v4 gens to escape… not worthy. -
@Daniel_Silva04 said:
I don't think losing 3 gens in one chase because the gens takes only 70s to complete and the map having 500 pallets is fun. But, if you think it is... OK.
I'm not playing this as killer until serious changes are made.
I can win, but it's so damn stressful on how ridiculous OP survs are and this 6 1v4 gen crap and now they added the damn yellow herb again. -
Probably never and survs still have SB on button.

Who said they need nerfed to pigs level lmao, Weskers level of mobility is where I want them all to be at, I feel he is the right amount of powerful for a mobility killer.
Bugs shouldn't be a factor when it comes to balance.Wesker is ass RN.
He could be perfect if he was not plagued by bugs. -

So Anti Go Next still exists?
@runningguy said:
The issue is many killers often feel they need to tunnel to keep up with gens. This seems to have an impact with the anti go next system which is designed to prevent players just starting a match and getting themselves killed each time just because they dont like the map or something by giving them a temp ban/penalty.
Solutions?
- could decrease the sensitivity of go next but this would lead to more people killing themselves ruining the game for everyone.
- Could nerf tunneling so survivors last longer but this would mean many killers would struggle to keep up with gens.
- Personally i think we should leave the anti go next as is so it does its job, nerf gen speeds AND tunneling potential so survivors last longer while killers can still get kills without tunneling. This would mean tunneling effectiveness would go down, killers would have more time to kill and survivors wouldnt be hit with an anti go next system.
Just my opinion.
You're being downvoted for suggesting a change to gen speeds.
I wonder why. Please take my upvote.
Killers had different gen metas during the game life spam and the shift towards a new meta was ALWAYS because perks were nerfed, not because something better came up.
Meanwhile survs can stack toolboxes and gen perks since launch. NICE! -
Dracula is perfect the way he is now.
He, alongside MANY killers, needs perks tailored specifically to him and an add-ons pass like Freddy and Pyramid Head.
One of his Iri's should remove his Shapeshift and compensate with something unique and the other should turn Hellfire into Dark Inferno. -
@Rokku_Rorru said:
Hopefully this gets fixed, coz it happens when against Wesker too.
So they indeed tried to fix this scumbag exploit against Wesker and Kaneki.
MAYBE this is what broke his collision even further to allow easy Bug Techs.
One thing I can say is that I don't play Wesker anymore because of all his bugs, but I went on a forced 2 months break of gaming in general and just now I've decided to play ONE match as Wesker and in this ONE match I had the same issues as before: survs escaping his grasp like if I passed on a hole or terrain elevation IN PLAIN TERRAIN and a surv in the middle of the gap for a pallet to be dropped and I pass right through them. -
All I know is that I'm sick of having perks become mediocre or dead on arrival like Awakened Awareness for killers because of these two freaks (Blight and Nurse).
Blight should be 4.4 and lose all tokens when breaking a pallet like Kaneki.
Nurse should have her lunge reduced, the add-on that increases it deleted and become completely blind when start to charge Blinks. -

You know what’s hilarious?
I’m gonna reported or disliked into oblivion
I used to think the same think about Sephiroth in Smash Bros, but in this case it's because I was pretty bad at Smash.
Not saying you're bad at playing killer, but you just got Vecna today. Give time and dedicate yourself and you'll definitely improve. :)
I am a pretty good Dracula and Wesker main, although I don't play the latter anymore because of bugs.
Today patch notes mention that they fixed the bug that allowed exploiters to vault back something you just vaulted without getting punished, but I doubt it.
BUT one thing I can agree with you is gen speeds and they gave two more that you need to be with another surv on the gens, so obviously they'll pair it with Prove Thyself.
These days I've watched a video that the guy did a recap of all gen meta for killers and after it ended I couldn't stop thinking that survs can stack gen perks with toolboxes since the game's release and NOTHING has being done to mitigate this.
The only way I can have good, fun chases is if I run a full Hex build to protect Ruin while I go patrol gens and take survs out of them, but they also give this disgusting perk to Eleven that you simply crouch and see auras of EVERYTHING on the map in a 44m radius, so the moment the users of this perk realize an Hex is in play they'll find it easily.
AND the damn thing have the Elusive status, so people will be running this also for anti tunnel.
I want to try and change strategies with Secret Project, but I'm waiting 3 weeks to see if this will not get nerfed by BHVR standards.
I only have 501 auric, so no point in keeping them since I can't refund so I may as well use them to buy a licensed killer with a good perk. -
I only play using full Hex builds these days and now that Eleven has a perk that a surv can crouch and basically see EVERYTHING in HALF of the map including totems… no reason to play as killer for me for now.
Could change my build to something around Vecna's Secret Project. That could be fun, but I don't want to give even a dime more to BHVR. -
Me.
I don't care about original content at all. You could delete all characters from both sides (which would help the fact half the original killers are ass in one way or another).
If wasn't for licenses I wouldn't even installed this game. -

Its not because those lone totems that are in the open or just standing near one tree or rock still exist even on asylum map (nurse map that came with her in 2017) and some are absurd not to mention survivors still spawn on or super near hex totems even in 2026 which i dont get why is this still a thing.
Exactly! :)
It used to be worse in 2017, but it still FAR from optimal.
AND since release survs spawn close to totems by this day. This was never fixed.@Body_Language said:

Saying "enjoy killers as they are" don't defends or argue against Vecna in any way.
What I'm saying is that killer design will be much worse from now on and we'll start seeing that more or less by the end of this year. -

It will be very stressfull now as killer because the threat of getting blinded will be super high (just beingin surrounded survivors wanting their save isnt very chill thing without lightborn).
People sleep on even more busted combos that are possible as duo mostly (swf, playing togeather with friends), like two medics can against killer who doesnt have instadown (billy,oni) or super fast hits like huntress bodyblock so it goes survivor 1 gets hit and second one comes behind bodyblocking, the survivor 2 gets hit and bodyblocks and both use their medicks power and are full health both and now they can do it again which wastes killers time if he cant deal with this because of his power (dracula can use hellfire and phead to bypass it, its very hard because these projectiles are easy to doge and go straight but its possible) and wesker can possibly hit one guy with another one and cause deep wound so the heal only makes one full health but that still one bodyblock which is solid time waste.
The escapist with flashy guy will still be very strong because sprint is here free with small cooldown (strongest power on its own and as helping others on its own with 30 seconds of cooldown compare to other powers that have 60 or even 90 seconds cooldowns like medic).
Exactly!
What are they thinking adding these stuff without addressing any of the other points?!
I'm done being a rodeo clown for survs in this game mode. 1v4 is already this and 2v8 is becoming this same crap. -

Yeah, I agree. I play both sides about equally and I really have no problem at all heavily buffing survivors and/or heavily nerfing killers for 2v8 because queue times were still 20+ minutes in the last 2v8. There is still obviously a lot more needed to incentivize people to choose the survivor role in 2v8.
Survivors need more variety and this can be accomplished while not making killers miserable.
Issue now is that with this new class bully squads will be in 2v8. -

Bruh your just gonna have to accept Killers are gonna be the 40% of the 60/40 split for escape and kill rates we need survivors for this mode
For me as long as they don't address these points, specially the 6 gen issue, for me it's not worthy anymore.
I hope other people come to this conclusion so we can have a better 2v8 for everyone.@Abbzy said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4043262#Comment_4043262
If survivors do gens and dont create just big hive of gens (they do them from start, from edges and leave the centre but kinda forgeting for late game where pallets will be lost and killers will have easy time protecting this area thats why I lost like third of my survivor games in 2v8 because other survviors dont use enough brain power like people on higher level do or did when 3gens were a thing you just couldnt do all gens close to you but you had to think more strategically here).
Survivors can rush all gens before killers can even kill 4 of them and I had this in many games where just oni+nurse were destroying us and we did first gen on 6 hooks and 4 of us escaped almost 5 if oni wasnt charged so the comeback mechanic is very strong tool you must use to your benefit and work on multiple gens or max in duos spread when the bonus is up, then its just fast progress with no counter unless you create cluster of gens and killers you go against arent stupid to leave it and have high mobility which there is always one with mibility like spirit,blight,wesker.
This mode is perfect I have 64% kill rate and 50% escape rate (I did some bs in few games which caused me to die or went for late save and it didnt worked out so if I played more safe i bet I had even more) and to oyur info 70 kill rate doesnt mean you kill more than half of survivors all the time so its balanced.
I could agree with balanced in some way, but it's too damn stressful for killers and it's gonna be way worse now. SB on button will still a thing apparently and you can also have four survs with the same class. It's gonna be 4 flashlight and 4 escapists EVERY match (except the ones I'm a surv because I'm sticking with Scout).
And, like you basically said, to win as surv you just need to use a little bit of your brain, but BHVR keeps making them stronger and stronger, so in the near future why use brain if you can escape by not using it? -
@Abbzy said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4043203#Comment_4043203
Yeah they will be stuck like stepsisters every where thats true.
Thing is nemi with wesker is one of worst combinations due to so many cures that just compleatly make nemi unusable with whip because survivors can remove it 3 times more than normaly and you dont get anything as compensation so playing nemi with wesker is realy bad idea, devs kinda made easy work here but didnt thought about 24 sprays being problematic more for nemi than wesker because his whole point is to force survivors to cure but he can play without it but nemi, he has way weaker power when everyone can cure before all gens are done not to mention he still has no marvins blood which is mystery to me but lets wait.
Indeed.
Sadly both RE killers together is the most crappy combination you can get.
If they reduced the number of charges, separate the Vaccine from the F Aid Spray or made possible for Nemesis to hurt survs infected with Uroboros only… -
@FerrousFacade said:
I am a mediocre killer and I still have around a 60% kill rate in 2v8 on the killers I have experience with. Even ghostface I have a 59% kill rate with. Claims that the mode is survivor sided are incredibly overblown.
I have 70%, but you have to tunnel like crazy because of the comeback mechanic that increase gen repair speeds by hook, so it's impossible to win if you try 16 hooks before start killing survs.
Also it's so stressful that, at least for me, it's not worth my time anymore.
Also the mode is indeed surv sided. Everybody knows that. BHVR thinks that to make more survs to play they need to be incredibly busted instead of the obvious that is lack o new things to do with each iteration.@BongoBoys said:
This is a good step from survivors adding more stuff like new classes will make people want to play more survivor now the Flashlighters can join the 2v8 fray

@Abbzy said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4043173#Comment_4043173
Flashlights and flashbangs are in new class for survivor so no they are coming to 2v8 slowly.
For nemesis its kinda still crime he doesnt have marvins blood because one of his must to be good is reaching tier 2 and in 2v8 where pallets just dont dissapear for the entire match when they get broken is tier 3 very needed thing for nemesis, more zombies are kinda fine plus they will be fatser so more info and slowdown which is good but survivors still can paly around them with higher nubers and now pallets are no worry because they can be picked up or repeared from scraps by scout class and now there will be class with flashlight and flashbangs so zombies getting stuck in beams of light is new thing.
Also we have to account the fact the zombies WILL BUG OUT at some point.
There was this match that I've played as Wesker with my friend as Nemesis. One of the zombies started the match atop a rock and there was nothing that could be done to make it respawn elsewhere and after that the other zombie got palleted and spawned at the same spot as the other. -
@Abbzy said:

Tru just the moment you know when ou pick up the there will be duo as this new class with escapist and they will try to save the survivor, bully squads will be a thing in 2v8 now which is interesting how it will go because two killers can deal with that especialy someone who is very strong like oni,huntress,billy.
Honestly I didn't thought about bully squads.
There are jackasses that play exclusively to bully killers and four people being able to pick the flashlight class…
They don't need to even "sent" one of their members to the bench. The entire bully squad can go in one match.
One less reason to play as killer.@Abbzy said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4043055#Comment_4043055
You actualy have some point here because two killers means more opportunities for saves and if the killers are solo as randoms then this can be working for some time before the second one comes to help.
But I dont think it will reduce queues too much may if it was broken and that would happen only because less would want to play as killer, but I think it will have some effect but now only thing the 2v8 is woth playing as is play killer and then survivor while you wait for killers match so maybe it will help for some few minutes.
Thanks.
The queues are definitely gonna be shorter simply because they finally added something new to survs no matter what it was, but being flashlights + killers like me will not even touch the mode makes me think that indeed this time the killer queues will be normal or even instant. -
@Star99er said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4043106#Comment_4043106
I would say it’s still a net buff to Nemesis now having 2x as much zombies. Seeing zombies getting blinded is still information that Nemesis and his teammate can use when tracking survivors.
Indeed, but is still pretty crappy that all killers had the flashlight interaction removed from their powers EXCEPT Nemesis's.
Also flashlights, Pain Res and a lot of other annoying crap is absent in 2v8 and now it seems these bunch of crap is starting to leak into 2v8. -
@Coffeecrashing said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4043105#Comment_4043105
Do we really know if it's going to be so miserable that it will break the survivor queue times?
The last few times survivors got broken 2v8 stuff, the killer queues were still 20+ minutes. I think we just need to wait and see what actually happens to the queue times.
It was already broken towards survs, but the last 2v8 was when survivors started to abuse the comeback mechanic leaving gens 99 to not get the repair "penalties". That's the reason why you see 3, 4 gens pop at once.
For me I went bananas after realizing that they just need to repair 6 1v4 gens. Maybe not in the first two days, but after that the queues will definitely get normal because killer players will notice these points. -
And now survs can start with a flashlight, which will render all 4 zombies useless since ALL matches will have 4 Escapists and 4 Torch whatever.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
The killer queues for last 2v8 were absolutely horrible, and were always over 20+ minutes. "play while you wait" didn't change the fact that killers were still in 20+ minute queues.
Survivors should be getting more and more broken stuff in 2v8, until the killer queues are actually decent. So I'd say just pile the survivor-sided stuff onto 2v8, and only fix it if the survivor queues get super long.
We just got to this point.
What's the point of playing with a friend as killer if it's gonna be miserable?
There's a limit on how much is tolerable about survs mocking you thinking they won by skill instead of the truth that is the mode being extremely surv sided. -

The killer queue times are as long as they are because killer is the far more popular role, leaving more killers scrounging to match with comparatively fewer survivors.
If way fewer killers play 2v8 this time around that actually would fix the queue times.
That's my point.
More survs wanting to troll killers with flashlights + you have to be a maniac to play killer now = normal queue times for killers in 2v8. -

Yeah, honestly. It sounds really bad on paper but so many updates or new perks have sounds bad too and they have fixed them for live. I understand the knee-jerk reaction but at the same time, like wait and see how the PTB goes and what updates they made for the live version.
This is one of those cases that we don't need a PTB to see how bad this is.
If they removed the SB on button, increased the number of gens to actually 10 1v4 ones, and limit how many survs could use the same class I would say that this next 2v8 would be the best one yet. Also fixing the stupid spawn of cages close to gates would be a nice bonus.@BorisDDAA said:

Yeah, I only play 2v8 now because it's the only fun way to play without overly sweat lords. Feels way more casual. Not anymore. The last one was more survivor sided and I still played it even when it was frustrating at times as killer. I figured they would balance it more. Nope, they went the extreme to survivor sided. I will be testing it out on the PTB, but on paper, this sounds awful as killer. If this is just as bad as it sounds and it goes live - I guess I'll 100 percent be done with DBD.
Which is sad since I've been playing since 2019 and have spent so much by unlocking every character and having so many outfits. Might just have to cut my losses and move on from this game if they also kill 2v8 for me.
But I'm glad they are doing this as a PTB instead of just making it live without testing like the other 2v8 updates. So we will see. I just hope they don't mess this up.
