How safe would it be to use this mod?

It's just the Engine.ini file, but with A LOT of editing to make the game runs smoother.
Since we can tweak this file ourselves I don't think it would be an issue (lead to a ban), but…
Can someone from BHVR confirm this?

    They’re just going to tell you “do it at your own risk” and if you get an EAC ban there is nothing they can do to help you.
