Or you could just play single player games since you can't accept that your games will not go 100% how you want.
DCing is the digital version of child taking the ball home during the middle of the game because they are losing or people are not playing by the child's rules.

For certain, I have been saying this since I hit the forums. Though I feel it's worse for killers. Killers have to endure four other players mocking them at the end of the match and often it gets nasty like with racial slurs, queerophobic slurs, what have you. I'm also seeing a tread of killers being shamed for their add ons, their perks, and even who the play. We're having this discussion in a thread about NOED. I saw one guy get called toxic because he was running Tombstone. Hell--I don't think any perk earns you the badge of shame like NOED. Where OhTofu is wrong is that it is often malicious. I am currently working on a nuanced post about this right now. I am hoping to start a conversation and see what survivors would like to see in this rulebook, should it be adapted or should it be abolished?
I did think the video made some good points. And I agree with you, the shaming has got to stop. I don't see many people talk about this.
tag me in your post, i maybe helpful or useless but i'm more interested in what your thoughts. This is one reason i love the forums, because of different perspectives

Trying to watch this with an open mind, but him stripping all of the nuance out of SWF and Discord being an issue so far is turning me off, feel tone deaf.
OhTofu is not the end all be all of streamers and I dont follow any particular streamer. I dnt see eye to eye 100% of the time with them, but like to listen to their perspectives.
The one point i am taking from OhTofus persoective is we need to stop trying to make others play how we should think they should play.

it felt like a lot of my matches were vs swf.

If you can't play with others, maybe just go play single player games...
When a survivor DCs less than 1 min into the game, you've screwed your other teamates.
Stop screwing the match for others
When i see that #########, I'll just play tag with the remaining 3 for bloodpoints and normally let them go. Why should the rest of the team suffer because you don't like xyz...
Suck it up and play the match.

Hey man, you know Bubba is called Leatherface for a reason, right? Not Leatherhair or Leatherfeet, Leatherface. Why would Leatherface have a gimmick of wearing hair? in the remake of ATCM you literally see him sewing someone's face into a mask for himself (idk about any of the others, i havent even seen the remake fully since i hate horror lol).

Free weekends. I would imagine that the vast majority of the players tried out Dbd, got scared by the broken status of the game, uninstalled, and never touched it again.
I know this is niche game... but some of thr steam achievements...

I am against this change.
I'm for this change...majority of my games i'm getting potatoes and i have to hold back. I'm not anywhere near the top 5% down to the 1% of killers.
i want a match where i can go 100% and it's a close match

Solo survivors need planning as well. We need to know who's running what, what perks we'll need, what we have available.
This idea, I agree with, but it'll create a bigger gap between SWF and Solo survivor.
Killer will not be able to prepare either, what if there are Flashlights and the killer can't prep for that?
Or tool boxes?
I think the element of not knowing would help players adapt. I'd be fine with solo survivors having their own lobby. As a killer, i rarely change my killer/loadout even when I see 4 claudettes with toolboxes or flashlights. Once i click ready, there's no turning back.

clown needs an overheat mechanic. He's a big boy so he's gonna overheat from chasing survivors. He needs to stop moving to cool down and catch his breathe.

That being said, maybe us console players will finally verse more of her as she's rarer than a pre-cooldown Hillbilly without Carb Tuning Guide.
I probably won't log in to play until midnight tonight and will play until 2am and then off to sleepy time. Most weekday nights are like this, so I don't really want to focus the little time i have on nurse.
I will probably drop nurse after i use up all her cakes and probably just do her daily when i get it. I have other killers to level up on PC that I'm familiar with and play with regularly.

i watch several of the youtubers vids mentioned in this thread. I might not agree with them all the time, but I don't hate any of them.
Two of the youtubers I keep an eye out for are samination and brush because of their animations.

samination creates dbd animated parodies. brush also does animations, there's others that do animations. While it's not the same as a film, they are still creating content based off of dbd. I don't feel like a fan film would cause any problems with dbd. I'm not a lawyer though.
