I wonder how long will it take for them to be implemented.
-
It's not the first time he's done that. I think in every Q&A that he appeared, he was out of reality with how Dead by Daylight should properly run. I don't know if it's scripted or not, but last night's Stream was a nail in the coffin added to this game...
-
This stuff should be heavily taken into consideration, but knowing the dev team, it will be something completely different which will unplease everyone. Like, for sure why would they listen to some random guy posting on Reddit?

I'm going to direct the people who are taking this quote shown in the tweet as fact and without any context, to the actual live stream where this was discussed and explained at length - as well as explaining what is planned to happen with taking in team results into consideration as a survivor, which then might take into account the player who ran the killer for the 5 gens that the other survivors did.
Nobody gives a dime on your quote until we actually see stuff happening in the right direction. Which may never happen, judging by the past results. Don't you see nobody has ever replied to your reply and that you, as a Dev team, are so out of reality of what's happening to the game atm? Please wake up, for the sake of this game. I love it from the bottom of my heart, but you're dragging it down more and more which has become dreadful for me..And for most of the people who decided to quit the game or are in the plans of quitting it or are playing the game less and less.

I mean it's okay that they nerfed it and acknowledged there is a problem with it, but the nerf is pretty weak... I know there's a few seconds more and in a game where every second matters may seem in favour of killers, but the most of the time the difference won't even be noticable... There could've been so many options on how to nerf it:
1. Reduce the healing speed to like 50% would've been maybe suitable.
2. Remove self-healing aspect and let the healing speed be normal when someone else heals you.
3. Input a condition like: whoever lits the totem to make it Boon benefits from full healing speed and the other benefit from the value they put in the nerf(75% healing speed)
4. Maybe create some sort of tokens: you start with 0 tokens on COH, the healing speed of COH is 40% at the start of the match, each time you boon a totem gain a token: each token increases the healing speed while in COH range by 15%, up to a max of 4 tokens(100%healing speed)
There could have been sooo many methods but they chose the lazy one. And the thing with monitoring and if it's still strong we will extra nerf it, let's be honest, these are child stories, they will never touch the perk again not to displease the survivors...
-
Lol at Twins pick rate, nothing else to be said... The 4 Twins mains can be proud of mastering the rarest killer in the game... The Twins would actually be better if they have better add-ons, it's one of the most interesting killers in the entire game but the current state of them is atrocious...

Ngl I thought this was intentional. But glad she's supposedly fixed now.
Wait, what?? Loool, this happened to me like 99% of the situations where I got pallet stunned while chain blinking... I really thought this was a feature of her...
This is probably the only thing I am expecting from the Dev update, the rest of the update is plain garbage, but I really hope she is coded properly now... Although I do not main her, I play her occasionally and she is riddled with bugs atm...
-
If you post a screenshot in the report is it enough proof to take action? If you just report them without having recorded the match or taken screenshots will it matter? I've heard if you simply report them it has no effect as they(report team) can't review your report if you don't offer video proof or screenshots...
Also what I would like, with the report system, is a notification just like in CS GO where it says someone you reported has been banned, thank you for the contribution, some sort of notification to have acknowledged me that my report was not in vain and that person has been found guilty and has been banned... That would be really nice !
-
If I were you, I'd have rather changed it... Like you said, I think enough would be to hit them with punishment and damned, it's already a signature of his power.
-
That daily should definitely be changed, compared to other killer's dailies... Like Pinhead's one requires you to hit them with the chain 4 times, you don't even have to M1 them afterwards... Correct me if I am wrong, but this is what I remember it is... Meanwhile with Executioner you have to put them in cage, which means creating trails on the floor, forcing survivors to step on them, then downing them and putting them in the cage... I think it is a bit too much and unrewarding for what it offers...
-
I like it when someone posts stats like these cause I do them for myself as well, but mine ones are extremely basic, basically I just count the amount of killers I encounter per 100 matches, maybe should do a depth analysis and include perks and escape rates as well.
What I find interesting from your encounters is the Myers statistic compared to the other ones, you had almost 70% death rate with Myers whilst with all other killers(except Spirit) you had over 50% escape rate... What happened in those Myers matches?
-
Why are you putting Demogorgon under such a shame by falsely claiming you won those matches in a row?
As a fan of Demo, I am severely displeased with your attitude, Mr. BrotherLove! Leave my cutie flower alone!
-
Alrighty then, that is good, I'll stick to my current plan then. Although the chances are I will never finish it, but at least I am taking the easiest path to achieve what I desire.
Thanks y'all!
-
I started maybe 1-2 months after the game was released, what I remember the most from that period is me totally sucking both as killer and as survivor, although there were some loops for survivor where it was impossible for the killer to catch you. But as a survivor the most memorable feelings were bringing a brand new part and finishing the gen in one second and sabotaging hooks(started as Jake) until the killer had only the basement hooks available. Oh the times...

I'm never really gonna understand why people think this is a hard map for killers. Is it just because it's indoors?
There aren't that many god pallets, unless you count the ones in the middle of the hallway, and those get done pretty quick.
Then again, maybe it's just that I play a lot of M1 killers. Michael and Ghostface do great on RPD; you'll never see them coming until you're hooked. Legion also does fine, just because she can vault pallets and catch up to players quickly. Clown struggles a bit, but even he has it easy if you're running something like The Third Seal (survivors aren't able to find each other quick enough to unhook before they die).
I'd imagine it's tougher on killers like Blight and Nurse, what with all the cramped spaces and chances to accidentally phase through the floor, but I don't play them, so I don't know. I'd imagine Huntress and Spirit do fine.
The last time I've played on that map I had a Claudette hiding in the bathroom in a very dark spot, literally pitch black darkness, just by looking into that direction and sticking my eyes closer to the monitor I could see her being there, otherwise I would've missed her completely. The hook placements and the overall outlay of the map are absolutely terrible.
The room that's to the right of the middle section, on the bottom floor, the one that has a vault to it, then a loong a$$ loop with a pallet on the middle right side of the loop, then an exit at the back of the room, that loop itself can literally win your match as a survivor for your team if you know how to keep the killer hostage there... Stupidiest loop maybe in the entire game.. The map is hot garbage. Aesthetically it's very pleasing, but gameplay wise is the worst, by MILES. Heck, even Haddonfield is better...

That's a bit of a vicious cycle though, since people get more frustrated when they can't communicate their frustrations or they feel they aren't being heard.
If Devs only communicate once every few months, reactions are going to be worse than when devs communicate weekly.
Not saying they're under any obligation to change their approach, but just giving some advice.
This is the perfect answer! If we vouch our frustrations here and not a single reply by the Dev team has happened, it feels that all our complaints are for nothing and we are talking straight to a blank wall, rather to a team of developers who care about their game. And when I see the illogical changes they're making, it feels even worse to be heavily ignored...
-
And ladies and gentleman, Peanut's 2 replies were the entire amount of replies DbD staff was allowed to do for the entire of 2022, we will hear them giving us more info in 2023. Apart from the announcements made, we will never hear from them again this year.
And those replies were a laughing stock tbh, sorry Peanuts, that's the truth. It still doesn't say the reason the changes you're making are so random and useless, instead of solving actual huge problems everyone is complaining about and that needs to be done.
-
To grab more cash from the newbies and p*ss off veterans even more. otherwise no logical person would ever run their game like they do...

EDIT: I thought the other post didn't show up, so I wrote another one shorter version. Sorry for the double post, not intended!

I read carefully enough, otherwise I wouldn't have clarified in the first place.
I understand you preferred to see different changes in the post, but a lot of these changes were asked by many, so the feedback is not getting ignored as you stated.
Rizzo, sorry to say this, but you've punched us in the face with this part 2. Who in the world asked for these changes? I've seen so many CoH nerf threads and nothing has been done about it, Dead Hard, weak killers etc., yet absolutely nothing from the changes you've made in part 2 has ever been asked by someone. Or have you looked at your statistics and blindly implemented these changes? Look at the threads opened regarding part 2 and tell me if you see one which has praised it. Exactly. None. But 9/10 of the other threads all complained about the poor and illogical decisions which have been made. Stop using those statistics when implementing changes, you're running blindly doing this and listen to US, players, and our feedback more.
Thank you!

This is just like saying: if it's called NOED then why do the survivors escape the match alive? Why not just instantly down them all after the last gen is completed and not allow them to get back up through Unbreakable and not be able to escape hatch. xD
Jokes aside, DS is in a good spot the way it is now.
-
I've played with Tithi twice, the first match he posted it on Youtube as well showcasing a recovery from the ground build, the end of the match was pretty hectic, but we all managed to escape. The second time he was off stream.
Other than that, small streamers...

Loading into a match as Survivor, me and one friend, cross-play on for both of us. PC users. Steam users.

4-5 minutes? I've waited for 10-15 minutes 3 times now. Forcing me to hard quit the game and take a DC penalty. That's on top of the DC penalties i got from boon disconnecting me several times. The game is unplayable atm. Typical Behaviour. Patches are meant to improve the game or at least it does for all other developers. Behaviour somehow manages to f stuff up more each "update".
Happened to me and my friend as well, but we didn't get any penalty when we re-entered the game... We both closed the game via Task Bar...

@Ryan489x said:
there are also a lot of matches that just aren't loading.
you find the match and when it goes in to loading the map it just never finishes.
This happened to me, but I am not using PS5, I am on PC. The match loaded 100% but never started, me and my friend waited for like 10 minutes until we forcefully closed the game... No penalties for either of us when we re-entered the game.
-
They should make an exception for this indeed. No matter how much you've played with Cenobite after you purchased the chapter.
-
Hag and The Twins are the rarest killers I encounter.
-
Hey Almo, can you at least give us a PROPER answer to the question of this thread. It's funny that you responded ironically to the 41 or 39 reply, but still haven't responded properly to why trickster's blades were reduced to 44?
Is it that much of a secret? Will the entire world collapse if you tell us why you did that?
You have a strong reason why you did that. We'd like to know as well, as customers of the game who pay for DLC's so that you continue develop the game...
Thanks!
-
Does anyone remember the good ol' times how excited and somehow frightened we, survivors, were when at the start of the match the killer's offering won't turn and you knew you would probably get Mori'ed that match?
Now if you see Mori, it's like: Meh, Mori, who cares?
As annoying as it was, I kinda miss the Mori before the nerf...Speaking from a main Survivor...
-
This is my point of view regarding killer tier list.
-
Not a single killer has gone past Prestige 1 lvl 50 for me. I'd rather have all perks on lvl 3 for all killers than some bloody clothes...And with so many killer outfits out for every killer, it's even less worthy...
-
Oh my, I can't wait to be legitimately banned for camping as Insidious Bubba Basement!
If it does happen to get banned because survivors get salty with my playstyle, I will legitimately ban every killer I encounter as a Survivor if I die within a match!
If I'm getting abused by this autoban system, I will abuse it to the core as well!
Let the games begin!

I kind of like this new patch. New corn maps are great, struggle mechanics are finally reworked also amazing, the annoying stuff that surviovrs like to complain about like Freddy or Iri heads were weakened, a lot of pretty decent perk reworks and mainly OoO rework which was amazing (the best part is that devs asked us if we wanted this kind of change and they delivered it perfectly).
Ofc there's somd unreasonable dumb #########. It's DBD after all but the positive changes far outweight the negative ones imo, especially since it's PTB and the dumb ######### is very likely to be changed unlike the good changes.
I consider this patch a win so far, if McLean considered this new stuff hype then I have to agree with him as it's pretty good changes.
New corn maps look good, I can agree with that, Freddy's add-ons were weakened, but the thing is some of his new add-ons are so incredibly pointless that I have no clue what they were thinking when they created them, Iri Head bad change, could've been done so much better! OoO rework is decent, could've been done better and the other miscellaneous changes don't even matter.
Demo's buffs regarding portals and his undetectable status are weak, and his best add-on(which was used because it was pretty much the only add-on that made him viable, not because it was busted, as it seems they understood from their very much "reliable" data) was nerfed for NO REASON, it had no connection whatsoever with his QoL buffs, absolutely no connection, yet they decided to nerf it.
Twin's nerf is BAD, have you seen how bad that is? It literally PUNISHES YOU, as a killer, for playing well and downing survivors with Victor. 5 seconds of cooldown is HUGE!
And the Trickster's buffs made him from the worst killer by miles to worst killer, but somehow closer to Clown and other killers that are within his range of weakness. He still remains the weakest killer in the game!

@Moxie said:
Considering how spread out their patches are he is probably just talking about the next chapter, which is rumored to be Resident Evil.
The new Resident Evil game comes out next month as well. Pure speculation but that is my theory.
He literally said: "I can't say much, but the next couple of patches are extreme hype. It kills me that I can't talk about how much cool s**t is coming".
So I'm guessing this is one of the patches he is so "hyped" about!

Not for tunneling, but to not be punished for chasing and downing someone off a gen, or picking up an unhooker. DS still stuns you if you tunnel someone off the hook.
It's okay, mate, just play a stealthy killer, wait until that survivors taps the gen the surprise him and hook him again! Easy peasy!
-
@SunderMun said:
The gen remaining part actually blends in with the game so it's hard to see even when you're actively looking at it.
Ikr... Why didn't they make it clearer? Or brighter? Idk...They maybe thought it would be too distracting if it's brighter, but in reality, it's blending so well to the scenery that most of the time you don't even notice it's there...

You're also not used to the new HUD, though. If I rearranged your furniture you might be annoyed for a while that nothing's where you expect but once you get used to it you might like it better.
You may be right...Another problem is that the HUD is kinda split now into 2 opposite directions of the screen, you have to look diagonally from one part of the screen to the other to check for info that is absolutely vital...And not forget the gen HUD which is now on top of your screen, so if you count that as well, essential information relied on HUD is now split into 3 different sections of the screen and constantly switching your eyes onto the screen to look for them is not good...
-
@Liqhtninq said:
Searching for gens because of the HUD? Yeah okay dude hahahaha
I forgot how many gens remained to be completed, had to look up for the HUD and it's so small and greyed out that it's a pain to look at.
Next time, if you don't wanna make a constructive reply, better mind your business.

are you blind? i can see just find and yeah i don’t like it either but how the hell do you lose a game cause of it? are you standing 100 feet from your screen???
If you're too focused into the game(maybe in a chase) and you're not camping a survivor you should rely on your HUD to see if he was unhooked. I didn't hear the unhook sound(probably I was in a chase) and I didn't even notice from the HUD that the Survivor has been unhooked. I literally returned to the hook to try and see if someone came to rescue him, but he was already unhooked for a good amount of seconds...

Well yeah, Infectious is indeed shameless if you play her well. That's true.
I might consider giving Nurse's another chance if you say it works well. The perks just felt useless in most of my games but that was one year ago when I started playing her.
Very good players may avoid Nurse's calling by not healing immediately after unhooking and going somewhere else to do so. If you manage to at least spot the direction in which they go, or at least speculate, you can go in that area as well and until they heal up(if they don't have we'll make it or something to heal faster) you may detect them with Nurse's calling. And even if you don't decide to follow them, the fact that 2 players are running away without doing an objective is already a win for you, considering you're chasing someone else in the meantime. Worse case scenario, they unhook, leave the area, and start doing gens injured...
-
Survivor around 7,5/10, and killer 6/10...
-
@Withered8 Actually, a little bit correction: my total in-game playing time is 1,254 hours, around 65% of them spent on the survivor side and the rest of them on the killer side. But nevertheless, no matter how much I played killer, I barely managed to get to rank 5...Last month I started to climb to rank 4 then for the entire month I've been rank 4 then the past couple of evenings the miracle happened.
@hillbillyclaudmain69 I am using the Hallowed Catalyst costume since I got it last year.
EDIT: @coppersly idk if it's a stupid comparison or not, but the way I somehow perceive shadowborn is like playing shooter games(for example CS GO) on lower resolution because the character appears wider and therefore you may have an easier time shooting your opponents. Here Shadowborn for me makes it easier to see people when I blink, to track them when they run away from me and maybe even hit them when they're close to me.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Congratulations on your achievement but remember rank 1 is not "the best you can be", there's always room for improvement :).
Yup, I know that. But it's a huge milestone that I've tried for so long to reach! What I need to do now is play even more and become even better so that I should try and maintain at a top spot! And try that out with various killers, if possible, if not, I can stick with the Nurse as long as it works!
-
Jesus Christ, who the hell came up with the new auras design?
They are SO BAD to the point it's infuriating. I've had several games as a killer where I used BBQ and I COULD BARELY notice there was a survivor repairing a gen in the distance(you know, the aura of the survivors being glued to the aura of the generator, you couldn't make a difference between those 2), heck in a match on Lampkin Lane I've had a survivor with OoO and only after a couple of minutes I noticed he has OoO because I literally didn't see his aura or his aura was so weak I didn't make notice of it...
The new auras are so WEAK and BLURRED(sort of transparent), that it's actually a PAIN to keep tracking them. In one match I've had to look for 15 seconds at the start of the match to actually find the location of my Hex:Ruin because I literally couldn't distinguish the aura of the hex...
Please, for God's sake, revert the auras to how they were before...This is YET another change you implemented that WASN'T NEEDED at all!
Edited to correct some typing mistakes!

Well here is my opinion on reworking or slightly changing some stuffs for all killers:
- The Trapper - I'd say he is fine, nothing to say here.
- The Wraith - Same as Trapper, nothing to change.
- The Hillbilly - He is fine the way he is at the moment(without the stupid changes in the PTB), but his add-ons need to be brought to a level with all other killers(2 iri add-ons, etc. etc.)
- The Nurse - Terrible add-ons, would change like 75% of them, and she desperately needs her bugs to be fixed(unable to teleport through objects etc. etc.)
- The Shape - This is a very hard one, his add-ons are good, but I kinda feel his power is outdated...I'd definitely do a full rework on Michael, especially when we have GF which, me personally, I find much more effective than Myers...
- The Hag - Increase her movement speed to 115%. Out of all the killers who have 110% movement speed, she is by far the weakest one and her power doesn't fully compensate(in my opinion) the lack of 5% to make it a 110% killer...
- The Doctor - Perfectly fine.
- The Huntres - Iri hatchets, that thing should be changed ASAP! There are tons of ways it can be improved than it is at the moment... The rest is fine with her.
- The Cannibal - His power seems good as it is in the current PTB. His add-ons are pretty garbage, though... Could need some love there...
- The Nightmare - He is good the way he is now.
- The Pig - Urgh, tough one, something should be changed about her, but I have no clue why and how...
- The Clown - I'd say he needs a rework. He is terrible...Even with his slight buff that he received(you don't slow down when throwing bottles). His add-ons are pretty good, though...
- The Spirit - She's ok.
- The Legion - I say he's fine the way he is now(although incredibly annoying...)
- The Plague - I'd buff her so that she doesn't slow down when using vile purge(not the corrupt purge), much like Clown when throwing the bottles.
- The GhostFace - Rework!!! His power is severly bugged! I can't count the amount of times I simply stared at him with him fully in my screen and he didn't get revealed or viceversa when I revealed him by accident and gave away my position, although I was hiding behind different stuffs.
- The Demogorgon - He needs a buff related to his lunge power, it's pretty weak and very easily to counter.
- The Oni - He is soo good the way he is now! I really hope DEVS leave this killer alone and don't change him at all.
- The Deathslinger - He is good the way he is now, although he kinda needs something improved, idk what....
- The Executioner - He is good the way he is right now.

Really simple concept here, The Spirit gets two dimensions to her audio, while survivors get one (and maybe a second if footsteps are present, but those are nearly impossible to use).
In phase walk, The Spirit hears completely normally. Survivors only get feedback that The Spirit is phasing through a phasing sound, which reveals little to no whereabouts of The Spirit.
Devs, just curious, why does The Spirit get 2 dimensions to her audio during phase when survivors get 1? I'm not even an entitled survivor main, I think The Spirit would just require actual skill if she had non-directional hearing instead of the simple "Ah, they're to my left and about this far away" that occurs. As an ex-Spirit main, I got bored of her because she was so easy to play.
Can we atleast try a PTB with The Spirit getting non-directional hearing? I feel that would even the playing field when playing as/or against her. And this isn't something new, I've thought about this since her official release (thank you for removing directional phasing sounds, though. That was needed), and wondered why she got so much information while survivors didn't.
TL;DR
Please try a PTB with The Spirit's hearing not being omnidirectional. I would like to see if that makes her more fair to play against. Volume would still determine survivor's distance, but you can't get the powerful ability of the direction. That's on you to find out as The Spirit.
Ha Ha Ha, you had me a good laugh there.
It was fun! I am waiting for more clever jokes next time!
-
Devs, do you read all these negative comments that are spread throughout the entire forums about your TERRIBLE changes?
Or you just close your eyes and laugh behind our backs and take us for fools and just implement them anyways, cause why care about customer's opinions when you can kick them in the face!
I want a proper explanation from one of the devs!
