It's so disappointing to see posts like this. So narrow-minded as to only see the "issues" (Survivors don't have that many issues aside from bad players being bad) on their side

cause you saw every match that i did with it, right? Bold of you to assume that i don't know how to play it... i've all the killers at p3, i think that i'm more than capable to judge each killer properly... the only killer that i still found irritating are spirit (but only because i don't have headphones) and nurse (mainly cause i don't like her concept, without mentioning the bug still present that afflict her like the teleport in the basement despite you are blinking elsewhere). demogorgon isn't viable aganist a group of decent survivors, period. you can keep lying to yourself since it's your main probably, but this won't change the facts.
Have I ever said he's viable? No. But you thinking "he's awfully weak" just tells me you don't know how to play him.
Having every Killer P3 doesn't mean anything

cause his shred can hit throught pallets or walls, can hit you from afar without being fully predictable, isn't it? please... despite i like demogorgon generally speaking he's awfully weak. i don't know about your matchmaking, but mine is full of swf guys who actually know how to loop, and aganist those guys only FEW killers can work... demogorgon is definitely out of that list
Tell me you don't know how to play Demogorgon without telling me

Well this blew up in one day. I knew it'd make some of yall mad but dang, yall still arguing about this. I'm not taking the time to respond to 80 comments (most of which are just repeated the same talking points over and over anyway) so I'll sum it up here.
- I've still yet to see a response to why everyone throws a hissy fit when you mention that the top killers are capable of playing at a level where they can make any killer viable and that's an issue because that's not representative of the average players. But the majority of the arguments everyone makes for survivors is based on "top tier, 4 man SWF, best coordination, best perks, death squad, etc" So arguments based around the top 1% of survivors is okay, but arguments around the top 1% of killers isn't???
- When I say viable, I mean they are capable of killing at least half a team. Every killer in capable hands can do that pretty easily, and again, I'd argue most can even confirm 3 kills if the player is good enough. Some of yall may consider that a low bar, but we can agree to disagree on that. Personally I think kills is a terrible measure of skill anyway because it says that a face camping Bubba getting 2 kills has more skill than a killer who worked hard and got all 4 survivors to death hook but couldn't confirm a kill and that's dumb but that's the game we're stuck with currently.
- Streaks might not be 100% reliable, but all these assumptions that he's only playing against low tier survivors or people who are throwing 50 games in a row is just as absurd and there's literally no grounds for yall to base those statements on. You're stretching
Your definition of "viable" is barely getting a draw, so of course people were going to disagree with you. Getting a draw is neither a win for the Survivors, nor for the Killer.
Viable means having a chance to 3k-4k, which most Killers can't against good Survivors

I think most people stick Plague somewhere near the top of 'A' tier - but the current 'overcleanse' meta is actually really hard for her to deal with.
Hag - yes. I'd still put her at low 'A', but good groups can definitely mess her up.

Demo is solid 'B' tier. He's got a bit of everything. Honestly, one of the best overall designed killers in the game.
Huntress...Huntress can be legitimately scary if she's good, but she can be rough to play on certain maps.
I'd put Nemmy just below Demo, and that's purely because his addons are turd tier.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2910014#Comment_2910014
Ghosty should be low 'B' tier after the rework. Some of his new addons are pretty fancy.
Agree on Slinger - really solid, but just clunky to play. Twins-esque.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2909857#Comment_2909857
Hag is still a very good killer. She's a bit like Plague in that she can always suddenly snowball. Just...not Big 3 level.
The problem with Freddy's antiloop is that it's massively telegraphed and survivors can just leave the loop the second you poop out a puddle. His teleport is nice, but it's cooldown is absurd.
Underrated: Oni. A few high tier players are starting to twig onto this, but he's the best instadown killer in the game.
Overrated: As others have said, Hag. She's still a rock solid killer, but it feels like everyone and their dog knows how to play against her now, and if she never hits that snowball moment (or fails to capitalize on it) she can be handily beaten.
I'd place Demogorgon at the end of A tier, just barely making it because of Leprose Lichen+Barb's Glasses. That Add-on combo combined with good Perks is disgusting

I'd say that 'game knowledge' is a component of 'skill'.
I wouldn't. You could be a God at using Blight and all his tricks but without game knowledge, you wouldn't know how to use them properly

It reads like one of those 'The Earth Is Flat: Prove Me Wrong' dudes on Twitter. Basically - someone wants to argue and wants to see other people argue, so she's going to bait the hook.
There isn't really an argument here. There's an assertion and that's it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2909280#Comment_2909280
Here I'd disagree. I know that I played very differently at 40 hours than I did at 200 hours, and I play differently at 700 hours now.
Both sides require skill. It's not the same set of skills as, say, competitive SC2 or competitive LoL, but knowing tiles, mindgaming, flicks, techs, gamesense etc...I'd reckon those all constitute skill.
Like I've stated earlier in the thread, DbD isn't a game based around skill, but around game knowledge. After a certain point, you stop playing better, but you never stop playing smarter

Yeah unfortunately. That's why I'm done. I wanted to see his perspective but he keeps running in circles without saying much.
His main argument is flawed because I could be a Peter Pan then with enough skill. You can't just say that without explaining how.
"You're nit good enough/git gud" wouldn't be that bad of an argument (still bad tho), if there was something to be good at in this game.
Survivor barely takes any skill to play, Killer is overall even easier. There are 5 Killers off of the top of my head that actually require skill to play, those being: Hillbilly, Blight, Artist, Nurse and Huntress
-
The devs balance it like it's four 1v1s happening at the same time so it must be a 1v1 game

The problem is that it’s still free healing that doesn’t require a perk slot for 3/4 of the survivor team for the rest of the match unless the killer 1) happens to find the totem and 2) takes time to go snuff it out, which sometimes takes a ton of time on maps with multiple levels (multi-level effectiveness of boons is broken AF).
The upcoming nerf does nothing to address the fact that it’s a free perk for most of the team and it’s a secondary objective for killers that didn’t exist in the game prior to boons being introduced.

If i remember the numbers correctly, CoH is still faster than self care.
Also CoH is still an faster heal when you're healing someone and a free self heal for all other survivors.
@sizzlingmario4 said:

Booning + healing is already longer than self care now, but just barely.
CoH still has and will continue to have issues, but I honestly can't expect the devs to actually delete the Perk, which would be the best way to balance it

He did a 50 win streak with the Clown and Legion as well (and yes, I know they both have their own m2 as well but they're essentially m1 killers to get downs). And streaks do matter because it shows that with enough skill, you can consistently perform well with a killer.
Again it doesn't make sense to ask me who does not main killer, what a killer should do in order to perform well. That isn't my strength in this game. But to claim a killer is unviable because you or I can't win consistently with them means nothing when there is someone out there who can
Weren't those pre-SBMM, which means the Survivors he faced weren't guaranteed to be any good?
-
The upcoming nerf will kick CoH in the nuts. Setting up a Boon and then healing will take longer than using Self-Care, which means snuffing the Boon is now worth it

Strong killers (S or A tier): Nurse, Blight, Hag, Huntress, Spirit, Plague, Nemesis, Billy (maybe he's B tier but the overheat didn't hurt the actual good Billy players)
Average killers (B or C tier): Wraith, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Artist, Cenobite, Bubba, Freddy, Legion, Ghostface, Demogorgon, Clown, Twins, Oni
Weak(er) killers (D or lower): Myers, Trapper, Pig, Doctor, Trickster, Onryo
Idk if I missed any but the majority of characters are realistically average, not low tier.
Tier lists are subjective, but Nemesis and Billy in S/A tier confirms you don't understand what good Killers are

Your argument makes no sense. You can't put words in my mouth and make the claim that I think Killers should be weak literally after I just said I'm okay with different killers at different power levels and my favorite matches are against Nurses, Blights, and Huntresses..... The way you're trying to twist my words is the only thing weird here.
And yes, a top tier Nurse who can snipe across maps is more of a menace than the majority of killers in the game. Maybe indoor maps mess her up, but who would you say is a stronger killer NOT including Blight and Nurse (played at the peak of their potential)
I'm okay with different killers at different power levels
That literally means you want every Killer to remain as is, good Killers, the minority, remaining good and weak ones, the majority, remaining weak.
And yes, a top tier
Nurse(Huntress) who can snipe across maps is more of a menace than the majority of killers in the game. That's if Survivors don't know how to dodge/predict Hatchets, which most do as Huntress is one of the oldest Killers and most Survivors know her counters

LOL Well that's a stretch if I've ever seen one. Did I ask for a nerf for Nurse, Blight, or Huntress (arguably the 3 strongest killers at their max potential)?
No, in fact, those are the killers I love playing against the most. I distinctly said I don't think ANY killers should be nerfed or buffed but I guess you'd have to read to see that.
No one said you wanted Killers nerfed, but you don't want weak Killers buffed, because you think Killers should be weak, which is just a weird mindset.
Huntress 3rd best Killer? Which game are you playing?

You say 36 wins in a row like that's a small feat. If you're winning more than 3 matches in a row, you're overperforming as far as I'm concerned. The fact that he can win that many matches in a row with a killer most people deem to be unviable means the killer isn't unviable. The players and the matchmaking system are.
And at what point did anyone use the term OP???? What I said was every killer DOES have different levels of strength and I'm okay with that and think it should stay that way. I don't want Myers and Blight to have the same map pressure. I don't want a Wraith to have the same hook pressure as a Hag does. They should all play at different levels based on their character design
They should all play at different levels based on their character design
You should've just said you don't want good Killers
-
@RakimSockem said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2908726#Comment_2908726
That's your opinion and I simply disagree. There is a steep learning curve and better survivors and better killers can come along and run the exact same loadouts we use and do it better. That's a skill issue, not a character issue
That's game knowledge, not skill. With most Killers, once you reach a certain point, you can't get better. You can always however, gain more knowledge
-
Which means that the issue isn't actually the characters, it's the skill level of the majority of players and I think that's a harsh truth most people aren't ready to accept.
No, the game isn't hard to play or all that skillful, certain Killers just aren't viable, and that's the harsh truth a lot of people already accepted
-
Not that often, and that makes me sad

You're sleeping On Penti + Ruin + Thrill combo. Thrill of the hunt with penti and another strong hex is amazing. Boons are almost shut down while you have thrill up and they have the chance to break thrill instead of ruin after spending 2 years cleansing.
But if they break ruin, you can put up penti and it will take 6 years to cleanse it.
Pentimento, Ruin, Thrill is good, but you're basing your whole build on Pentimento, which can be unreliable.
Ruin, Undying, Pentimento is still good, but more reliable

You're probably right. Running without gen slowdown will reduce drastically the kill rate, but at least killers will get matched against easier survivors, that spend the first 2 minutes crouching in the corner of the map.
So that's a win, I guess.
That's if SBMM worked, which it doesn't ~60% of the time. You'll probably have to lose ~30 games in a row if you wanted to get easier matches
-
On average, I use Uncommon Add-ons the most, but I do sometimes used higher rarity Add-ons if I have enough of them, and if they're better than lower rarity ones, which they aren't 50% of the time.
My second most used Add-ons on average would have to be Common ones
-

The killer losing 2-3 gens by the time he gets his first hook isn't something rare. Happens pretty often in my games. Especially when I play solo survivor.
Does it take you more than 30 seconds to down someone? To bad, you just lost a gen! 2 survivors repairing a gen in coop take 44 seconds (not including great skill checks, toolboxes or Prove Thyself). With 2 seconds of fixed pickup animation, 5-10 seconds to walk to a hook and another 2 seconds of hooking animation. You easily lose a gen, if downing someone takes 30 seconds or more.
But killers probably should just dedicate 4 perks to gen slowdown, right?
You got it all wrong. Killers shouldn't run 4 slowdown Perks because that's "op" and "unfun"
-
