That's an idea. Personally I think they should just them make 1 time use only lol
That'd be risky when talking about Boons as a whole, since SS/DT require the Boon to be around the Killer for it's full effect, while CoH/E require the Killer to be far away from the Totem to work
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I think the right way to deal with CoH is to make it 100% again but nerf the Boon mechanic itself. Right now the only Boon perk worth running is CoH, as Shadow Step is good on like 3 maps and the other 2 are trash tier. That's justifiable because the Boon mechanic is hard to deal as killer, so the perks themselves can't really be too strong, but if you keep nerfing CoH then the devs wasted time developing Boon Totems considering nobody runs the other 3 anyway. Buff CoH back to 100%, buff the other 3 perks, but in compensation heavily nerf the Boon mechanic so it at least has the same high risk that Hexes have.
What if Boons became Hexes after getting snuffed, with reverse effects, but they're tied to their Radius?
CoH slows down healing, SS shows the Survivor Aura, Dark Theory slows the Survivors down and Exponential disables Perks that allow Survivors to pick themselves up
-
Working with the Killer is bannable

They're considered the 3rd or 4th best killer in tournaments when balancing rules are in effect. It's the opposite of "never used". They're meta and every team has a Twins player.
Are Unbreakable, Dead Hard and CoH allowed in tournaments? If not, then no wonder Twins are good in tournaments, they don't have the Perks that hurt them the most

Watch. someone will just say a streamer name can do it on their stream then the rest of the killers got to play like them.
And I know forum users hate it when I bring this up, but you have people like Otz, that has a youtube video in which he plays every single killer and gives the survivors a 30 second head start and doesn't use any perks and still gets 4ks. We know he plays at the highest MMR and he's able to beat high MMR survivors with Trapper, Trickster, Clown and all the other killers people say aren't viable.
If he can beat high-MMR survivors without perks and with a 30 second head start, then people can definitely use those killers at high MMR with perks, addons and a 30 second head start.
Someone already did

What if I told you that this has been happening for 4 years for survivors, while Killers get a useful perk every 4 months. Last Meta change in perks was Windows of Opportunity, 4 years ago. CoH is the only new Meta perk in that amount of time and it has been nerfed almost to uselessness at this point. I'd say either this nerf or the next CoH nerf will make it as good as Self Care.
CoH isn't and will not be useless.
It's faster than Self-Care, it's more efficient, it only requires 1 Survivor to bring to for the whole team to gain the benefit, and is activate for pretty much the whole Trial if Survivors know how to place it
-
No, the box should count as an Item, same with Nemesis' Vaccines.
I'm surprised Sadako's Tapes don't count as Items too, they should tbh

You know something, there really isn't an easily findable solid definition of the current Tier list that everyone uses, LOL. Not even on Tiermaker.com.
So everyone is making these stupid Tier lists for games and no one actually knows what each tier means. I tried some google-fu and didn't see a single definition for what each tier means. Even the Wiki doesn't have a definition for each tier. (I didn't go past 2 pages but I find that absolutely amazing that every keeps making these Tier lists and there doesn't seem to be an explanation for what each tier means).
Tbh, tier lists are subjective. There's only 3 Killers almost everyone agrees with, those being Nurse, Blight and Spirit
-
The game is balanced around an average 50% kill rate, which is not good

In the sense of speed, yes it would still be faster but a couple seconds but on the off hand self care gives the 20% item efficienty for medkits which I think would scale it out to be the better choice.
CoH is also a Self-Care for the entire team, even if only 1 Survivor brings it, that is not worth snuffing if it's placed well, so CoH would still be better
-
If it gets nerfed to 25%, it's still faster than Self-Care, and more efficient aswell
-
Give Demogorgon the ability to flick around corners like Blight
-
Goodbye
-
My SoloQ games have been pretty good, but I've been getting way more Plagues than before.
Like, every other match was Plague, and they all used the butterfly skin, aside from 1 which used the normal skin

If you are using the Tier system, Tiers A - C are all viable tiers. S Tier is the tier that gets nerfs and the D Tier is the tier that gets buffs. If you look at the average tier rating of killers from these forums, almost all killers fall within Tiers A - C, which means forum users sees a large majority of killers as viable.
The problem people need to realize is it's not how good the killer is, it's how good the player is. Not everyone is a top MMR player, in fact, only about 2.5% of people are top MMR players.
On top of that, Nurse is just flat broken, everyone knows that. You can't judge other killers on a killer as broken as Nurse.
A-C isn't viable. At most you could say A-mid B is viable, but C isn't viable.
C tier Killers are usually situational at best.
Otz's test proved the "meaner"(smarter) side wins, not that every Killer is viable.
I disagree with "how good the player is". It's plain out wrong. At some point, you won't get better at the game with most Killers, you'll only be able to play smarter, which not even that will save you sometimes, not against smart Survivors anyway.
Nurse is not broken, her Add-ons are. Her base-kit is fine, the winner comes down to who plays smarter
-
The faster my Survivor queues, the longer my Killer queues, and vice versa.
That's what I've been experiencing

Not true for all survivors, escaping is defined as a win.
Yes, but most of the complaints about NOED come from thinking 5 Generators being done means they won

Thanks, man. But I picked 40m because Huntress' and Trickster's lullabies are around the same distance. Clanking spurs is only one idea for his 'lullaby' but at least it would be something to indicate he's nearby without completely giving away where he is.
But hey, if you reckon he doesn't even need a lullaby, I'm happy to get the 24m TR back!
Trickster and Huntress have a Lullaby because their ranged attacks have infinite range, along with more than 1 projectile.
Caled has only 1 in the chamber, aswell as a maximum range.
If you wanted to give Deathslinger a Lullaby, you could give him a 24 Meter one so he can't reduce his TR to be smaller than his gun range
-
Good changes but a 40m Lullaby? That's worse than the 32 Meter Terror Radius be currently has

Unviable means 90% of the roster is unplayable which is not true. The entire roster is playable and can get plenty of 4ks because of the MMR system.
No matter what you do to Demogorgon, you can never get Demogorgon to the Nurses level of play without losing Demogorgons essence, it's not doable. And who would you play against if all the Killers are as broken as Nurse and Blight. Between 68% to 95% of players cannot play against Killers that broken.
You would literally never find a match if all the killers where that stupidly overpowered.
Every Killer is playable, most aren't viable. Just because the SBMM system pairs weak Killers like Trapper with weak Survivors, even if the Trapper player is good at the game, doesn't make Trapper viable.
Not every Killer had to be Nurse/Blight levels, but every Killer should be A tier, which most aren't

And I was wondering if there was ANY possible way I could get the Scoops Ahoy outfit for him at least just the body and legs because for now all I have is the scuffed rolled sleeves and will get the prestige style in the future but if anyone could hook me up on a way to get it pls tell me, thank you for your help and really would appreciate it.

If the swf or solo q team play better than me or in your case you call them “good” then I’ll accept it, nothing wrong being outplayed man, you win some you lose some, learn from it and play better next game etc.
The mmr is being reworked or whatever so I imagine whatever bad games you’re getting might get fixed soon if that’s what you’re getting at
No one said anything about losing being bad, what I'm saying is that over 90% of the Killer roster is unviable

How is he not ? He's just a tweak away to his chains being buffed, and impailing wire being slightly nerfed to being fine.
Because right now basekit chains are useless. And impailing wire makes them amazing and pinhead borderline low a tier
Giving him a better 1v1 won't fix his chains being damn near useless at a loop with high walls, exactly like Trickster.
The more I think about it, Pinhead has a worse 1v1 than Trickster, since Trickster doesn't have to waste time standing still to use his Power
-
I'd change a lot of things, but the first thing I'd try would be reworking all maps to be more balanced with less God Pallets/Dead-Zones and more mindgameable Pallets, along with making them smaller and reducing the spread of Generators

Well yea if you’re a bad killer you would just give up wouldn’t you, just like a bad survivor would die in the hook straight away or dc? Like I said I’m not a great killer and I still try, learned a lot from the forums, streamers and just playing but I’m not the best trapper however I’m definitely comfortable and wouldn’t give up as soon as I got a 4 swf.
I said before worst case is 2 kills, my best is 4, generally 4 in most games (70% if I had to guess), I’m no trapper expert and I’ve seen amazing trapper plays, just takes a good trapper and someone dedicated to learn.
I don't think you understand that when someone says "you might aswell give up", it means there's barely a chance of winning, not that giving up is the only choice.
4k against a good, and I'll say this again, GOOD SWF is not something I'll believe but ok.

"Pointless attacks" "If you’re a bad killer you would."
Seems a bit hypocritical, if you ask me.
What would be a good game to you as Trapper against a good (keep in mind, good, not the ones that kill themselves trying to save their friend during EGC) SWF? The best I can see is a few downs and at most 1 Sacrifice
-
@t0007319 said:

I have mained trapper, I’ve found it hard to begin with but just took some time getting better at mind games and trap placement, few YouTube videos watching how others play him, advice on this forum and some better perks later and I’m golden against swfs, even in bad matches I’ll managed to take 2 down which to me is a win seeing as I’m still not great with trapper, he’s fun to play against as well if you get a good trapper.
One of my favourite killers as a survivor, falling into one of their traps after a mind game is hilarious.
Wouldnt say he’s the easiest of killers to master though, Wraith is where I got my training wheels to begin with.
So the best you can do 2 downs? That's far from 4k'ing.
And no, no mindgames or trap placements will save a Trapper against a good SWF, especially if they're using meta Perks

So I'm gonna guess at thousands of hours I am bad if I play solo Q, but if I suddenly find people to SWF with I become very skillful.
Big brain take indeed.
I never said SoloQ turns makes people bad, I said most SoloQ Survivors are bad because they don't know how to play.
I don't know where you got this "All SoloQ players are bad" idea
-
@Marigoria said:

Solo Q isn't a synonym with bad.
I hope you also think weaker killers just need to adapt. It's not because the survivors are good, it's because they're bad and need to get better.
SoloQ Survivors are usually bad, it's why there are so many complaints about SoloQ being weak.
SoloQ itself isn't weak, the players are
-
I want his Contamination to actually do something, not more Zombies
-
I personally don't have problems against him. His 1v1 is weak and his box can be dealt with really easily
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
Isn’t he bugged?
I have literally seen people get hit by chains when they try to solve the box. Plus also seen random chains after the box has been solved.
Maybe players don’t like bugged/unintended things.
Survivors are supposed to get hit by chains while holding the box, that's not a bug.
If they get hit by chains while trying to do the box, it's because they didn't dodge them.
Once again, Survivors not knowing how to deal with a Killer.
As to Survivors getting hit by chains after the box was dealt with, Pinhead's Power is shooting chains

Let's not pretend that getting quick-scoped by a STBFL Slinger was even remotely fun or interactive for the survivor. Slinger was extremely oppressive in the 1v1 and functionally made all of the survivors' skill irrelevant. If he could see you, he could quickscope you and down you, and there really wasn't any meaningful counterplay other than "get out of range or break LOS." It's a video game, so being fun for both sides is king and balance is a secondary concern.
The tap ADS """mind game""" was also the dumbest thing ever. Just like how stand still Spirit """mind game""" was an extremely boring guessing game. Slinger deserves better than what he has right now, since he's more or less objectively worse than all other ranged killers without bringing anything unique to the table.
Slinger had to have a "oppressive" 1v1 because he didn't have anything else in his kit.
Balance shouldn't be a secondary concern. If it's unbalanced, it's usually unfun. If it's balanced, it's usually fun.
Fun is subjective, balance is objective
-

If the vast majority of survivors (players) didn’t want to adapt or play that way then there must be something inherently wrong if that’s driving them away? It’s tedious and adds another objective to the game, in solo q it’s hard enough when you get bundled with unseasoned players.
Proofs in the pudding my man
No, just pure laziness.
The box adds a second objective, which is good.
SoloQ players lose to Pinhead because they're bad, not because Pinhead is good

Hilarious take coming from someone who, in another thread about 4k slugging, said "survivors don't really need perks to get a pity escape after losing", implying that all 4 survivors magically lose just because 3 got slugged and/or killed.
Interesting that you view 5 gens as "not winning", but slugs as "losing" for 4 people.
Yes, 3 Survivors being dead is a loss, as they've left The Trial, and can't come back. 5 Generators being finished is the same as the Killer getting 2 Hooks on every Survivor
-
Survivors think they won the game once 5 Generators have been finished, which is wrong
