The upstairs of Coal Tower main building is hilariously silly. I was playing Mikey last night and had my tier 3 99'ed. Two people were on the gen up there and they had nowhere to run because I was on the stairs which was their only way out.
That’s hilarious, frustrating, and horrifying at the same time!
There are people also complaining of being held hostage upstairs on that map because those breakable walls are there, it’s honestly ridiculously stupid how they thought that was a good idea in the first place?

He’s just another “hold your power until you zone a survivor” type killer, that also has a mini Wesker and Spirit ability. He’s so boring to verse.
-
Agreed, I love running it now! It's a solid perk after the changes.

You gotta start high so that you can then curb it down a notch or two :D
The idea stems from the fact that there are aften not enough hooks nearby the exit gate, in order to fully get value from it. I had matches were I downed three survivors in there but it gave me jack. There was only one hook and on the way to the next the survivor would have wriggled off. So all I got was that single hook while we waited together for the Bloor Warden to tick out, so that they could crawl through the exit gates. For such a hard perk, this was extremely underwhelming.
Valid point! :)
-
I love Eyes of Belmont, even if it was released recently it seems that it was already quite forgotten, I love using it with other underrated perks like Scene Partner, Object of Obsession, Troubleshooter, Poised, or Alert.
It allows for some really fun builds to help in chase or keep tabs on the killer. A 2 second buff to any aura reading seems small but it's so good in game. It's one of my favorite perks released recently.

Buff: Blood Warden
when the killer hooks a survivor during the EGC, The Entity blocks the exit gates with its power, eager for the kill. All survivors in the exit gate areas get their aura shown to the killer and they are exposed as long as they don't leave the exit area - the escape beckons, but this trial ain't over yet. Additionally all survivor downed in the exit gates area get instantly teleported to a random hook.
I like your instadown idea, how does this sound?
Their auras are revealed and they suffer from the Exposed status effect for as long as they are in the gate areas, after leaving they have a 10 second exposed linger effect after leaving, and increase the block duration duration to 80 seconds.I feel like the instant hook teleport is a bit much, but the rest is good. 👍🏻

I wouldn’t mind it being buffed, but even still perks like No Way Out would be a much better alternative.

I’m actually very mad this bug exists because it takes away the skill ceiling from Spirit and makes hits pretty much guaranteed if the player listens enough. Spirit is a powerful killer and this bug removes any necessary effort from the player, it’s like free Stridor, which is why I refuse to play her until all the bugs are fixed.
The fact that the bugs have been not patched after multiple patches is ridiculous considering there have been multiple complaints from Spirit players that there are more and more bugs each time a new patch is released, it’s really disappointing, I want to play my main and not feel like I’m cheating.

i had my game crash 3 times since latest patch was released. No fps drops, nothing, just a sudden crash in the middle of a match
I’ve checked my internet router, reinstalled the game, and it still is happening, it happens at least once or twice a day since the latest patch was released.
Glad I’m not the only one, I hope this can be fixed somehow.

My hot take: Distortion didn't need to be nerfed, instead they should've added more ways for it to be difficult to hide for a long period of time.

Stationary Movement
Waking up in a strange new place fills you with determination to remain unnoticed.
After repairing 70/60/50% of a generator, Stationary Movement can be activated by standing still, and out of chase. For 25 seconds after pressing the active ability 1 button, you are invisible, immune to screaming, leave no sounds of breathing, grunts of pain, and pools of blood for the duration.
Moving by any means while this perk is active will cause you to become visible again, and you scream, revealing your location to the killer for 3 seconds.
If you remain still for the entire perk's duration, you become visible as normal, and instead see the killer's aura for 3 seconds.
If the killer injures or downs you by any means while this perk is active, it deactivates for the remainder of the trial.
"Whatever you do... Don't move, don't scream, don't cry…. act like your nonexistent to the terror that's right in front of you."

People are messed up, I saw those images before they were deleted and my little cousin was in the room while I was on my computer, she had to see those images, I never clicked off a link that fast before like that so I hope she didn’t see it for long at all. I’m so mad right now because she’s 7 and doesn’t need to be exposed to that #########, and the fact that this even happened in the first place is ridiculous.
-
She’s the only character that I’d have zero problems with being straight up removed, and the people who owned her get refunded.

@Hannacia said:
I'd say killswitch her and give everyone 9000 iri coins until she's reworked. Also rework her looks cause she looks like rich Karen and her walkstyle because no female walks like that.
This "nerfed" skull merchant is just as annoying since they gave back her haste and hindered. She's still going to be killer with highest killrate because nobody wants to play against her.
Hi, come step in my 3-gen!
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
I don't think it needs a rework. Just make the cooldown 20 seconds. Maybe add lockers to the things it suppresses so you can use it with Head On.
I would agree, but it's really situational because of it having a 6 second window of being able to use it. Then it goes into cooldown, even with the shorter cooldown I feel like trying to make it work all the time can backfire, especially if the killer knows what your doing. I can agree that it's fun to use if you manage to make it work, but it requires a plan and sometimes it might not even work in your favor at all.
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
That's actually a neat idea. I think 30 seconds is a bit short of a duration though.
The item could be a small tape recorder, it'd fit with Zarina very well.
I agree, maybe 45 seconds would be much better.
Other than that I really want this to be the new version of Red Herring.
-
This is the best idea for this perk I've seen, it sounds like an extremely fun perk to use and would get a lot of use in certain builds, I'm all in for having this in game!

make pig able to pick up traps that were disarmed 🙌🏻
I love your idea a lot, from your comment I came up with these changes:
- After a survivor removes a bear trap, you see the trap in a red aura at the jigsaw box.
- 80 seconds after the trap has been removed, you see it in a yellow aura, and you can than reset it.
- Pressing the active ability button when at the trap will allow you to "reset" it, this action takes 5 seconds to complete, afterwards the trap will be given back to you so you can place it on another survivor.

originaly it silenced all footsteps, which to be fair was considered a bug. now it only silences running.
-Patch 7.2.1
That was the better version and a fix was not necesseri in my opinion.
I want this back so much.
-
I'd like it for it to also activate from taking protection hits, or safely unhooking others. That way it rewards players for being useful to the other teammates, I feel like it's current activation requirement is too restricting, when other perks like Sprint Burst or Lithe are much better in my opinion.
-
I love it, good for information and for some slowdown, the cooldown for the perk is something I always found unnecessary, I'd really enjoy having your version in game.
-
Why did I read it as "Generator speeds need to be buffed."
I luckily saw the "regression" part before I ranted on why the speeds themselves shouldn't be buffed lol.
-
It's one of the easiest perks to counter so I have zero issue with it being 90 seconds.
-
Wesker is in a good spot right now even after the changes, we don't need to make tunneling any easier, before the nerf survivors only lost 50% of their infection which made tunneling extremely viable for Wesker, also an 8% speed reduction was a death sentence.
The recent nerfs adds middle ground, it gives survivors a more fair chance, while still making it more challenging for survivors with full infection, 5% speed reduction now is still pretty good considering he can dash forward to close in the distance between survivors, if the Wesker player knows how to use their power properly, they will have zero problems.

I understand your take. And I agree. There are situations that are out of our control unfortunately. And they are very frustrating.
This is why I'm trying to encourage players to think about the others in the lobby - because 1 DC can cause a game, or even worse - make a chain reaction - 1 DC, second guy most likely will also DC soon and so on.
And as a killer in such matches - forced to play against bots in a multiplayer pvp game is just sad to me. I wouldn't be bothered about the outcome of the match.
Playing against Bots feels lonely in a way, whenever I verse a bot, it feels like a single player game with AI targets in a way. I agree that the people who DC should reconsider because it can ruin a match, but at the same time I understand why they did DC, there can be many reasons why they did, but if they DCED because they got mad over their mistake, than screw them lol.

No, sorry.
I'm not going to justify or consent, when the survivor player insta-leaving from a match, when they saw a hag from a far.
Or when they got downed faster than they expected.
It's just a bad and entitled attitude towards the game - not the developers problem or game's problem.
I never DC from seeing a killer from afar, I do try unlike some people who go next instantly. I agree right there that is a bad attitude towards the game.
But when the killer puts survivors into lose-lose situations, it feels cheap and rather frustrating.
Going down from a mistake the survivor made on their part is when I get mad when they DC, but if they go down because of something that's out of their power, I understand their frustration, because there is so much anti-loop in the recently added killers, and the tiles in the recently changed maps are terrible, like look at Haddonfield.
I hope you understand my take, I agree that DCING is out of hand recently, but I try to understand why some people do when it comes to frustrating situations!
-
Unknown and Demo.
-
First fix the issues that make people DC/give up in the first place, like overly oppressive killer powers, perks, unbalanced maps, etc.
You can't blame people for quitting when there are too many things destroying the game experience. Too many killers lack any fun power to verse, every one has some form of anti-loop, there's plenty of aura reading perks or generator regression perks that can be annoying, and the maps keep getting changed which makes it more difficult to learn the map, also when there's also 5,000 variants of one map it's pretty much a guessing game, and having to deal with the new horrible tiles that the developers recently added makes it worse.
There is a lack of variety with the newer killers, you can tell from Vecna and Dracula alone, things need to change, if you guys want people to stop giving up, first think about why they are.
-
I made one for killer:
Decimate
Any form of safety protecting your prey will instead be the cause of their demise.
You start the trial with 4 tokens.
After breaking a pallet, you can pick up the remaining pallet pieces to create a trap at a vault location, picking up the pallet pieces consumes 1 token. Pressing the Active Ability Button 1 at a dropped pallet or window will start the "Set Up Trap" action, setting up the trap takes 10/15/20 seconds to complete, only you can see these traps after they have been set up.
You see the aura of trapped vault locations in white, a trapped vault location will trigger whenever a survivor slow or fast vaults it.
Anytime a survivor vaults a trapped pallet or window, their vaulting speed is reduced by 25%, and they scream, revealing their aura to you for 5 seconds.
"Use your defenses all you want you fool, your fate is inevitable in the end."
-
The issue is that his power lacks anything interesting, just another killer with an anti-loop ability that puts survivors into lose-lose situations while also having some map traversal, and making distance against him is useless when the Bat is incredibly fast, he is the worst designed killer since Skull Merchant.
Visual, theme, and design wise? One of the best, I love his chase and lobby theme so much, probably my favorite killer theme. I do enjoy his voice lines as well.
There are some positives included but it's such a disappointment, since he simply became another boring anti-loop killer with no skill expression, at least they removed hug-tech Wolf though.
-
Monitor And Abuse, that perk used to be really popular but I never see it anymore, it's still really good on certain killers.
-
I'm glad she was found, that skin for Haddie is honestly gorgeous, hope to see it be added because she desperately needs more skins and I'd 100% play her more often if she does, she has so much potential to be more popular!
-
Survivalist
Whenever you are at your lowest point, there is always a little bit of survival instinct left in you.
Once per trial, you are immune to the exposed status effect, anytime you were supposed to be instantly put into the dying state from a basic attack while healthy, you become injured as normal, and inflicted with a 25% hindered penalty for 10/12/14 seconds instead.
If another survivor gets put into the dying state while you are in the killers terror radius by any means, gain a 15/20/25% haste for 3 seconds.
Intervening Measures
You are in need of escaping this dark, empty place of despair.
Whenever there is one generator left to repair, a random generator on the map will be highlighted in yellow, other survivors can see this highlighted generator as well.
After completing 50/40/30% repair progress on that highlighted generator, press the Active Ability Button 2 to make that generator regress 75% slower whenever the killer damages it by any means for the remainder of the trial.
Generator progress deducted from certain killer perks will be 75% less effective on that generator as well.
-
Lara Croft's theme by far is my favorite. It's so badass and suits her perfectly, and it sounds amazing, it's probably the best theme they've made in my opinion.
Dead By Daylight Tomb Raider Survivor Menu Theme (youtube.com)
-
Before you could wipe away her traps I would agree but now that you can I feel like she's in a good spot at the moment.
-
I'd say give it back only 3 tokens but they can be recharged when you get chased, the change the developers are going for is overkill.

Playing on the Plant meat Gideon with a m1 killer against 4 survivors with 4 window of opportunity, that's a big braindead.
@ays12151 said:
Windows Of Opportunity is just stupid perk that shouldn't exist. It makes Survivor Gameplay braindead.
Previously people didn't use WoO (when it had cooldown) that often because back in the days other perks were much stronger than current.
You both should at least be explaining on how it's braindead, rather than leaving out any reasoning on how you believe so. Not because you think it's "annoying", or "busted", I'd like to see you both make actual statements on how it actually affects you in matches, otherwise your arguments won't go anywhere.
-
Your reasoning is that since you see it and how it's a popular pick for survivors it deserves a nerf, but you leave out any type of response in how it has affected you in matches pretty much, makes zero sense if you ask me.
It's like if I made a post about asking for Pain Res to be nerfed, saying it's busted but leaving out any information on how I believe it's an unfair perk for an example but only stating ''It gets used too much'', looks ridiculous right?
If your going to make your post based on stats and ask for nerfs because you see it often, it won't work.
-
I'd say don't go through with the changes and instead killswitch her until 2025 so they can actually have some time to work on her without any complaints from people who have to verse her, give all players who own Skull Merchant 5 million bloodpoints and 1,000 auric cells.
-
With the new mori system coming I believe that Tombstone needs to be reworked or removed as a whole.

I also thought you meant the gens sound are 100% muted as well as the repairing sounds. I would want the gens being 100% silent, just working on them silently would be relatively useless.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3794950#Comment_3794950
I don‘t exactly get the last part, where you say (the third idea)…
I meant that suppressing screams would be unnecessary when you working on the gen is silent and the gen is silent.
When I was making the post I was thinking making the entire thing silent was a bit much, but if it ever does happen we will have to see how it goes in gameplay.
Sorry for the mix up.

@GonnaBlameTheMovies said:
Not necessary and would be extremely annoying as a stealth perk. Technician doesn't need a buff, it's fine where it is. This would be overkill. Technician is like WoO, it's a safety guard for newer Survivor players. It doesn't need to be useful for experienced players, that's contrary to what it's supposed to do. It's fine in the niche it's in. Not every Perk needs to be useful for experienced players.
If we make gen repairs silent you will literally encourage people to rat being a stealthy ghost doing gens, not engaging the Killer, and not saving friends. Plus sound is such a key element in this game; can you imagine how annoying it would be as Killer to hunt for someone who say, is running Light-Footed, this, Iron Will, and current Distortion? No aura, no scratch marks, no traces, not even gen sounds, and they hide in nearby lockers. And when you hit them? Still no sound.
The rest of the buff is fine and perfect for newer players. In fact I would add this effect: Skill check zones are larger, and move slower.
This helps train new players, but keeps it out of the realm of being yet another perk intended for niche genrush. We don't need more of those and we don't want to encourage a lack of players interacting with others or the Killer.Understandable, though the killer can still hear the actual generator itself, just not the little repair sounds, they can still go kick it, and force survivors off regardless. Plus there are aura perks the killer can use to track them, and killer instinct. (Distortion is annoying though as killer, we will have to see how it goes once it gets changed soon).
Appreciate the feedback!

@Langweilig said:
I like it. Being 100% silent on gens is what I wanted from this perk for a long time and it working like bite the bullet would be a lot nicer. The third effect is nice, but I don‘t think it‘s needed.
Thanks! I also wanted 100% silent repair progress for this perk, for some of the less used perks I like to add new strong effects mainly so it can be good for experienced or beginner players (the third idea) to make the discussion more interesting, so anyone can think on how they feel! Appreciate the feedback!
