"Legion is the worst killer in the game"
Like agreed they are not the best. but they are nowhere close to being the weakest.
-
Couple of reasons
1) being an assymetrical game means that it's extremly delicate to balance. Even extremly small changes can have a big impact. So they are playing it safe and don't try to change much. Which can be frustrating cause of how long things take but they can affort it cause we are not going anywhere else
2) community's skill level is extremly variable. Changing killers/survivors so they preform better at the top might mean they start to dominate at the bottom. And visa versa.
How often do you see the argument "that doesn't count, those were bad players." The thing is those bad players need to enjoy the game too. And dnd is not a game you balance at top play. You just can't without driving a whole chunk of your playerbase away. People with their 5000 hours want to think diffferently but dbd is a casual game at heart.
3) community doesn't know what it's talking about. People often joke that the devs don't understand their own game but the truth is 95% of the community doesn't understand it. Look at how many people still believe thanataphobia got nerfed even though if you crunch the numbers it's better in every practical way
Couple that with the fact that this community just loves to complain and it's really no wonder most of us are ignored. There are entire youtube channels that are almost completly based on complaining about the devs
This community is a classroom of children that believe 1+1 should equal 3 and start throwing hissy fits cause the teacher doesn't want to change the equation based on what they think
And while it is sad that the one student in the back that's trying the answer the equation is being drawned out by the rest it really is our own fault

No mither really should reduce your sounds by 100%, it's a perk ruined by the fact that you have to run it with iron will (though these combined do counter stridor)
In theory the reason this is not the case is cause no mither also reduces sounds from being downed. So killers would have little to no way to find a slugged no mither
In practise kinda fumny cause not only are no mithers not being slugged ever there is a sound bug creating this exact same issue
-
Not many people like the defensive playstyle
I know i would rather lose a game full of action then win a 10 minute 3 gen situation as hag
She is very strong but the playstyle just isn't for everyone
-
Inbefore the delay is a surprise key nerf

I will agree that NOED is not that great of a perk, however, the problem is with solo queue. Cleansing all 5 totems in solo queue is very unlikely to happen and very hard to coordinate.
You don't need to cleanse all totems
Cleanse the harder ones and remember the easy ones.
Cleanse 1 totem and remember 2 and you already have a 50% chance to get rid of noed with only losing 16 seconds of gen times and your teammates doing nothing at all

Alright I will
Thanatophobia: Each injure on a survivor was 4% (Max 16% which is 12.8 increased seconds on a gen)(92.8 second gen)
Now it's 5% per injure ( Max 20% which is 16 increased seconds on a gen)(96 second gen)
Remove 16% healing reduction, I think it's a nerf.
Math is wrong. Game works with charges instead of being purelly time based. base charge speed is 1 charges per second (c/s) and thana reduces that
So old thana with max injuries reduced the charge speed of survivors to 0.84c/s (1-0.16) so the time it took to complete a gen solo is 80/0.84= 95 seconds. New thana with max injuries makes the time to complete a gen 80/0.8= 100 seconds
the time survivors needed to heal through old thana was 16/0.84= 19 seconds
So old thana vs new thana you lose 3 seconds IF survivors decide to heal vs the 5 seconds you gain if they don't
If they decide to heal they aren't working on gens. so ruin procs more. you have more time to interrupt gens before they are completed they need to waste time searching teammates. You want survivors to heal instead of working on gens
The biggest problem with thana is that survivors can ignore it and still do gens relativilly fast. new thana is just straight up better in that scenario
Not even to mention that new thana works with totems too and it already synergises well with Ruin. Cause for every second ruin is active the survivor would have to spend 1.25 seconds to repair it. so if you can keep everyone injured it increases ruins effect by 25% as oppose to 19% from old thana (1/08=1.25 for new thana and 1/0.84= 1.19 for old thana)
Trust me the healing speed reduction on old thana was pretty much worthless and the extra procent on the gen times + affecting totems right now is much much more valuable. the only time old thana was better is when survivors dropped everything to heal and even then it saved about 5 seconds if survivors healed efficiently. You would win that scenario whether you're using old thana or new thana
Ofcourse it doesn't make thana a top sss tier perk and the numbers weren't changed that much. But it is a buff. A marginall buff but still a buff
-
Glad you're enjoying her again. We need more plague players.
Personally i don't like playing her cause I find Legion does everything better then she does and the couple of minutes of improved huntress hatchets don't make it up for me (largelly because of bad aim)
Also pipping with her is still such a hassle.
Love her perks though and it's really cool to see a killer that actually has good synergy with all of their perks
-
facepalm
Ruin in it's current state is way stronger then old ruin and more interractive to boot with the only downside that you have to work for it
Bbq and chilli doesn't have a gen exploit. That was intended from the start
Thanataphobia got buffed. Don't blindly believe what anyone says, do the math
Discordance is bassicly unchanged outside that you need tier 3 now
Nurses calling? You mean the nerf from Patch 1.1.2? Were you that desperate to find something that you had to dig to a nerf that happened years ago?
These kind of victim mentality's is the reason why some legitimate complaints aren't being taken seriously
-
You don't really know the community that well if you think a survey where you can really give detailed answers would be anything but a huge waste of time.
The amount of complaining about non-issues in this community is staggering.
-
Stomp stomp stomp
Shriieeeeeek
above reason. Being used to the completly silent Legion i hate the amount of soundqueue's demo gives
-
Only if arnold schwarzenegger is tge survivor and he has a perk called " to the choppa"

Once again Gen rush =/= Tunneling. Tunneling is when a killer repeatedly and purposely goes after one survivor and ignores the rest, atleast thats my definition of it. Gen rushing is something like marths depip squad, basically a group of survivors who will ONLY focus on generators and will purposely leave each other to die on hook in order to pump out more gens.
Genrushing is doing the gens as fast and efficiently as possible
A strategy to do the objective in as little as time as you can. Whether that strategy works or not is irrelivant. Marth depip squad did it effeciently. A solo survivor team that also attemts to genrush but then all dies cause they left themself injured still tried to genrush.
Tunneling is trying to kill a survivor asap so that it's easier to apply pressure to the remaining survivors.
Genrush it's weakness is that the killer can snowball massivly cause you ignore healing unhooking etc
Tunneling can backfire if you can't kill the survivor in the time it takes for the other 3 to do the gens
Both are all or nothing tacktics where you ignore side objectives and try to blitzkrieg the opposition and imo very simular to eachother.
That's how i see it anyway
-
Always dodge key users
Doesn't matter which role you play
-
I hope it's Chucky
That or the animatronics from Willy's Wonderland. Just to see the fnaf fans their reactions
-
pretty good with oppresion too in theory.
They do let go if they fail the skillcheck right?

@FrostySeal said:
Difference is that "gen rushing" doesn't really exist, unless we're talking about something like Marths depip squad. If your playing killer and multiple gens are getting down really quickly, your just not putting enough pressure on the survivors. I main blight and use pop + corrupt + tinkerer with him and I havent had game where I was like "Damn I was completely powerless to stop the survivors and they actually gen rushed me."
With that logic tunneling doesn't excist either outside of an Marth skilled nurse.
If you play the best survivor perks and you and your team play well you also can't be tunneled and say Damn i was powerless to stop it
So still no difference
-
Chainsaw juggling killer on a unicycle throwing them at the survivors
While on fire
The killer not the chainsaws
-
Lol, maybe change one perk. That most likely will have to get changed back because I overtuned it or created 7 bugs while doing so
There really isn't much you can do in a day. Especially if you have zero experience in the field. People really don't realise that it's quite a bit of work to make these kind of changes.
On a less serious note, change the hatch spawn mechanics. Make it only spawn if there is one survivor left or if all generators get done
-
Have you tried... playing the game.
Escaping isn't the goal. If you do nothing all game you can expect nothing in return.
-
Also an aspect lots of people don't point out that they are very strong at the m1 game.
They make zero noise and are small. This makes them perfect for mindgames
They can do mindgames that stompy foot demo and oni or clown having a heart attack everytime he vaults a window can only dream of
The only killer better at it are probably pig and ghostface as they can make themself even smaller by crouching
-
Legion isn't actually a low tier killer. Most people are just really bad at chasing without a power to help them
They are more mid tier. Outside of the terminator swf squad you always stand a chance of winning. Especially if you concidder pips to be a win
-
Depends a lot of the killer ofcourse.
Legion i use mad grit and discordance once and a while
Clowns perks all work good with what he does. Good chases game made even stronger with bamboozle, coulraphobia allowing slugging to be an even more effective pressure tool and on top of that gen regression with pop
Wraith's on the other hand only decent perk is bloodhound and that's already in his base kit
-
If i see a key, bad ping or a last second swap I'm out. Keys are always boring matches and last second swaps are just rude.
-
The thing is that if mmr works properly they can easier see which killers need help and which don't
Now it's hard to give weaker killers a buff cause of how they can usually exploit a weak link in the chain and still win.
Once they see that when everybody is on the same skill level only 3 killers are played at the top changes will come
-
Loved the idea somebody had here to turn hemmorage into the ruin of healing.
So that if you stop healing you lose your progress on the heal.
-
Movement speed is very strong and shouldn't be given easilly
That 5% doesn't seem like much but it matters a ton
10 meters of distance against a 115% killer takes the killer 16-17 seconds to catch up
With the 5% ms boost it takes 25 seconds.
That's 50% longer
-
There are currently 86 survivor perks in 3 tiers for a total of 258 options.
So if rng is not in your favor the perk you want could be very deep into the bloodpool.
My advice would be to always go for tier 3 perks even if you don't want them. It's an option that will not reapear and increases your chances to get the one you want.
Also as survivor best to have one main to have all the perks. If you don't plan to main Kate just level her up to 40 and try to find her perks on your main. Who already has several options scratched out.
-
Slugging. It's bassicly a nececity if survivors are optimal.
If you beat a team without slugging then that team was way below your skill level
From the moment you hit and down the survivor
Weapon cooldown: 3 seconds
Picking up animation: 3 seconds
Walking to a hook: 1-16 seconds
Hooking: 2 seconds
So 9-25 seconds of zero pressure. Let's say on avarage 15 seconds. If all survivors are on seperate gens that 45 charges of the 400 in total they need to do all gens.
That's 10% you give away for free by hooking. Not counting the actual chase just the hooking process. You can't affort to give that away against optimal survivors
-
Who?
In all seriousness it's a shame
I love her lore and concept. But she's just a weaker Legion in almost everyway to me
-
I just wish it increased the speed too. It feels so weird.
I think it can be a decent perk but with only 5 uses in a losing match their isn't much room for experimentation.
-
Tinkerer is just better.
Undetectable + telling you exactly on which gen pressure is needed
For example you see 2 gens in yellow and go to one to scare a survivor of a gen that was 10% complete and then hear the other gen pop where 2 or more survivors were at. Tinkerer wouldn't have cost you that gen
-
Imo a lot of fuss about nothing.
Colorblind options should be a thing ofcourse. And it's good they are coming
But to come out and say Almo hates colorblind people cause he made one annoyed remark is just rediculous.
These kind of overblown reactions is why they don't tell us things in the first place.
It's kinda scary how saying something out of annoyance nowadays make you a horrible person that hates disabled people and probably kicks puppies too.
-
Legion's Blight cosmetic by far.
Especially conciddering that The Legion members outside of Frank didn't want this.
Agree that the Doktor's cosmetic is gross and creepy. But there is some psychological horror in the Legions one that makes it take the cake.

Strange to necro a thread abour an issue that gets fixed next patch

Trapper can already reset traps, what do you mean?
The tittle is a tad bit confusing
"Do you think we've got" implies the past but you are asking about the future
Changing it to "Do you think we'll get" will get your question across more clearly
-
I would like new gamemode but for the love of god not 2v8.
How anyone think that will be fun is beyond me.
Being chased by 2 killers make chases impossible and the other 7 survivors would just be on gens. The entire game would have to change before that would work
-
@gendoss said:
The term "gen rush" is really stupid in my opinion. "Oh no guys, we're doing the only objective too fast, let's just stand around and not doing anything for a while". Like what do killers expect? If you aren't applying adequate pressure of course survivors are going to do generators, there's nothing else to do, i'm not going to just stand around at a generator because we've been doing them "too fast". It's up to the killer to apply good pressure.
Note when most killer talk about genrushing they are complaining at the game. Not at the survivors playing them.
Ofcourse survivors will do gens if there is nothing else to do. (Sensible) people understand that.
That doesn't change the issue that when survivors are optimal, the smallest mistakes a killer makes in the start of a game leads to a loss.
It's a game issue not a players issue
-
At 5 gens the entire map is open, there is zero reason why survivors should be all close enough to all get slugged.
Stop blaming the opposition for your/your team's mistake.
This is like during a sport passing a ball to the opposing team and then complaining they scored.
If people actually started owning up to their mistakes instead of blaming the opposition on capitalizing on it maybe their wouldn't be so many potatoes in red ranks.
-
You shouldn't be mad at the killer but at your teammates.
If you are being chased on death hook while the other survivors are healthy and not been hooked before and they don't even attempt to bodyblock then the survivor team can't complain about tunneling.
That's like complaining about genrush while standing afk in a corner.
People really need to realise tunneling is almost as much of the survivors fault as the killer
-
An addon that reverts back to old Freddy and add an effect that you can't do any actions except vaulting and throwing pallets while falling asleep would be nice
-
I mean you could just keep it on. Nurses addons aren't that good so you can easilly sacrifice one for the flannel.
Being common means you can have one every match anyway. It's seen as a training wheel addon but if you like it you can use it.
-
How does it reward a killer playing poorly. They have to hit you. You know, by playing well.
Unlike some perks that reward you for failing twice in quick succesion
-
I will take on your advice and write an entire essay of why the disconnect penalty was the best thing that happened in this game and give them their well deserved pat on the back
-
Make hatch only spawn when there is one survivor left or all generators are done.
Problem solved. Didn't even change the achievement
-
Probably around 100€
Also have 1000 hours so that's 10 cents per hour of entertainment.
So money well spend i would say
-
-
I mean it can't be helped.
One side will always be stronger then the other. True balance is a fantasy.
-
I think he would be pretty bad at it.
Seems like the kind of person that just tilts when he makes a mistake and his gameplay suffers from that.
Got hit too much in the head too so his gamesense isn't really up to snuff. As further evidenced by the fact he always dies in trailers.
He would probably reach rank 1 purelly out of determination but you really don't want to see him on your team
-
Make hatch only spawn when there is only one survivor left or when all gens are done.
All problems fixed, achievement untouched. One line of code that needs to be altered
