Does anyone in this community have an original thought?
I think I do.

The only one I use a lot is Hardened. As an avid Calm spirit user, I swap it now now and then for variety. But eliminating screams affects a good deal of the killer cast and perks. I was astonished when I finally gave it some runs.
The rest could easily disappear and I doubt many would even notice.
Both Calm Spirit and Hardened have some large negatives attached to it.
Calm Spirit should have the cleansing/blessing/opening penalty removed.
And Hardened, well, I had an idea that repeating the process needed to activate it would make it so every time your aura would get revealed to the killer, it will instead only reveal your location. In short: aura → location reveal.
-
None.
-
Funny how it has so many drawbacks and the reward is just a less consistent Blood Amber Key.
• 60 second activation time (if your teammates aren't interested in helping you #########)
• Permanent Broken (Why???)
• Terror radius based
• Oblivious, Blindness and Undetectable all counter it (fully or partially)
• Luck based (random crow spawns)
• 101 ways it can go wrong (troll teammates, screaming perks, aura perks, dumb luck)
The only upside over a key? All survivors see the aura. Only useful in solo Q since SWF can just let eachother know.
-
- I agree. Invocation: TC is so useless and it won't even help you progress the game and it relies on luck significantly.
- The other Invocation. Same story, slightly better reward.
- Hardened
- Deadline
- Moment of Glory

Wait survivors USE flashlights, i thought they brought them as a fashion accessory. Way to many Survivors bringing Flashlights and just not using them at all.
But are we seriously still going on about a Perk that's mainly brought to counter 3 possible Survivor Perk's? Instead of asking for Lightborn to be changed, ask for Shadowborn or Hex: Two Can Play to be chnaged, those 2 perk's both trigger on Blind's which have to be done by the Survivor and provide nothing of value currently if they do get triggered.
Hex: Two Can Play - Make it so you only have to get stunned/blinded once for it to trigger, extend the blind to 2,5/3,0/3,5 seconds and maybe fiddle with the respawning thing a bit.
Shadowborn - just give it a new effect, the current is dumb.
-
I played him on the PTB.
Thought that the UVX mechanic was too wonky and weird for my liking, and left it there.
His add-ons are also meh for the most part.
His perks are bad, except Unforseen, and I'm not going to waste 9000 shards on a killer who's power I dislike, and who has only a single perk I'd maybe like.
-
Why are there still 5 variants???
Nothing would happen if there was only 1.

What all needs attention?
Houndmaster, Myers, the new Invocation, Hex: TOTH, the overpriced Houndmaster legendary, bugs...

Very well said. And I agree they should be 300%.
I actually conducted a little experiment, which I'll probably post later, where I played 10 games of double Iridescent Myers to see how long it takes to get Tier 3.
Pre-Update, when using Infinite Tombstone, I'd usually pop tier 3 when there's 2 gens left.
Post Update, in the 10 games I played, there were 3 games where I couldn't reach Tier 3 AT ALL. The survivors all escaped before I could even reach Tier 3.
There were only 2 games where I reached Tier 3 before endgame. In those games, the survivors basically handed me stalk on a silver platter.
You can't reach Tier 3 with both iri add-ons now unless the survivors are completely clueless
Judith's Tombstone should be 300%. Fragrant Tuft of Hair should be 250%
-
So, first off, my thoughts:
• The Invocations should absolutely have different drawbacks to them than just Broken. But making it time limited isn't the best choice. I think these should be permanent. My choices are Exposed for Weaving Spiders and Oblivious for Treacherous Crows.
• I think that 60 seconds are just enough to make the Invocations not busted. They have counterplay, but aren't too slow.
• Your new perk ideas are interesting, they seem fun. However, I have to say nay to the TC buff. The only change it needs (except replacing the Broken) is making it not terror radius based.
• One additional idea I had, is that instead of speeding the Invocations up by joining, you make the effect stronger. Example: Participating in the ritual for Invocation: WS makes it so additional 3 charges are taken away from all gens.

I've never used light borne and never had an issue vs bully squads.
The problem isn't the survivors, it's that you trained yourself to play the game with a crutch so now you don't know what to do without it. Flashlights are the weakest of the main 3 add ons and flashbangs are relatively easy to avoid, you just need to know how to.
You just got lucky.
If a whole team dedicates all their time and effort into ruining your day, they will be a pain to deal with, especially if all of them have at least a few braincells.

I'm fine having to play around the perk, I feel like calm spirit and eyes of Belmont are mandatory but I don't think there's should be a TR requirement. Either the killer is Undetectable or they are not, so it shouldn't matter.
I don't like the idea of this perk, but I don't think it's completely terrible
The effect could be nice.
If there weren't ~20 different drawbacks to it.

Would be interesting.
I'd also love a perk creation contest.
Just imagine it.

If they leave them as they are, sure. They should stack since they both do the exact same thing.
If the dowsides were to get changed, though, then they should stay unstackable.

No it's not if killer has 100+ ping dog is too fast so lagger have an advantage
Yeah, but that's nothing new, really.
Lagswitching and using ping in your favor was always a thing.
I'm saying this the last time, looping her normally mostly destroys her power.
Stop trying to guilttrip me.

CS with a boon against TOTH…oh god, its 13 and a half seconds longer than old invocations when it took 2 minutes solo.
And that is one of the many reasons to remove the cleansing/blessing/chest opening penalty.

Either nerf it to 12% per token
OR
Make it so it stays the same, but only works on hex totems.

What it needs is a total rework with a brand new effect.

Thank you I know how to loop trapper (also he is basic killer not tons of abilities in one like Dracula), no need to tell me that I am low mmr or don’t have skill, houndmasters wind up time should be nerfed
So you won’t have issues with her as well.
I’m repeating it: A solid object between her and you is all you need to counter her.

@danielmaster87 said:
Yeah, that's pretty much it. It's funny how people say the perk is like a 5th killer perk. It literally destroys tunneling, which people have been complaining about forever. If you're not smart enough or coordinated enough to use it, that's on you. The perk's design is fine. From the killer's POV it's a serious problem to contend with. Killers have an issue with not having enough time to do their objective, so they take shortcuts like tunneling. If they have to hook the same person 5 times, they will lose. It was hard enough to hook someone 3 times.

In no way is it a benefit to killer.
It can be a benefit, if you happen to camp the survivor who gets resqued by the StB user.
A niche and rare situation, yes, but one that can happen.
-
Edit: Made some small changes.

She attacks very fast cuz wind up time is too fast so in open areas she can't be countered at all
Yes, she can use her dog in an open area. She can counter holding W decently.
But looping her makes her power useless. As long as there is an obstacle between you and her, she cannot do anything to you.
So, if you can loop the Trapper well, you shouldn't have a lot of issues with Houndmaster either.
-
It doesn't add new hook states into the trial, just trades them around.
If you are one of the people who go for a 12 hook game, this perk is either a minor inconvenience or a straight-up benefit in some cases.

Pig needs buff the most especially for her RBT, cause right now they weak garbage.
They aren't the best, true.
But I don't think she is in a worse state than Freddy or Myers.

While she is nowhere near overpowered, people also seem to underestimate her. She is not the worst killer in the game, she just has a high skill ceiling.
Yeah, I mean, Trapper still has to get his power from the other side of the map for it to work....
-
- In an order of how urgent they are:
- Freddy: His power is weak and boring, his add-ons are terrible, all uniqueness he had was removed, which was a giant mistake.
- Myers: He desparately needs an add-on pass, as well as multiple touch-ups to his base-kit.
- Sadako: She needs help, mostly in undoing some nerfs she's gotten over the years.
- Ghostface: Fixing his reveal to not be terrible should be a no.1 priority.
- The Pig: She is relatively fine rn, but needs some more help with her ambush and stealth.
-
I personally see CoH and Exponential as decent, Shadow Step as nice but a bit undercooked, Illumination as weak and Dark Theory as dumb and weak.

Info is power. Info is stronger on Survivor against most Killers than you think.
Unblockable info. Unblockable info the Killer can't avoid.
That's hardly "the worst perk in the game", please stop trying to lowkey insult my intellect.
Ah, yes, the almighty "unblockable info", how could we even complain about the devs giving us such an allmighty power?!
Except to get that reward, you have to sit in the basement twidlling your thumbs for a full minute, and that's not even counting the travel time. During that time, you could have already done a full gen.
But after that, in a case that your fellow survivors won't rat you out to the killer for throwing (which, yes, it does happen) or a screaming perk/ an aura reveal won't fold your plans, you get the fearsome unblockable info… that is completely RNG dependant and partially or fully countered by 3 separate status effects (Undetectable, Blindness, Oblivious)
And that's not taking into the account the giant TUNNEL ME! sign you put on your back when finishing the ritual, which shortens your chases in half, gives the killer free tracking help and requires a full build just to tone down the cons to an acceptable level.
Why would anyone run it? For prerunning? Listen to the terror radius, watch the crows, use Dark Sense. Aura reading during looping? Run a Blood Amber Key if you care about that, or use Troubleshoter or Alert if you need an item.
I'm not expecting you to change your stance, really. You seem like you would complain about the PTB Weaving Spiders.

Sorry but there is no need to make life even more difficult for survivors in the game there are already enough killers against whom we HAVE to learn to play, I want a basic-casual experience! It is much easier to play for a killer, we can just learn to play for one killer and thats it, when for a survivor we need to know all 30+ killers and their addons, so yes, there is no need to buff this killer even more, I don’t want to learn to play against her again! Stop ruining the game for survivors soon we will all switch to killers if this trend continues
Honestly, I can only say skill issue.
This is the easiest to counter killer we got in years.
You can quite literally avoid her dog by going behind a bush and there is nothing she can do.
Houndsense works only as a slight info tool and a counter to Dead Hard.
-
Suprisingly, I agree with you on a lot of points presented.
Just one small thing I’d do: Decrease the boon shimmer sounds.
I mean, in the descriptions of them, it says: "soft chimes ring out…". Well, at least to me, a sound of a running vacuum is anything but.
Also, I don’t think it is impossible to fix totem spawns. On 85% of the maps, it’s fairly doable. Sure, on the new Haddonfield or Rotten Fields, it’s really hard. But nothing can excuse a totem spawning 3 meters away from a gen in the Red Forest.

@Oputeeva said:
She is fine right now, just a bugged a bit, please stop buffing killers that interrupt movement speed, they are most annoying to vs
Just because you can’t play well against them, doesn’t mean that they ahould stay D tier.
Other than that, you are right she is bugged. A LOT. We are talking Twins 2.0.

Its actually 60 seconds not 45. However, it should be 70. :)
Its actually 60 seconds not 45. However, it should be 70. :)
Yeah, I didn't noticed that when making it. But I also heard it's bugged to still be 45 seconds.
-
I'll just list down the issues it would have, ok?
- Terrible quality of mics, weird backround noises, etc.
- Great amounts of toxicity, loud music blasting and screaming.
- Half of the playerbase will just turn it off making it worthless.
- Language barriers.
- It will still not stop Solo Q goblins from doing weird stuff and throwing for no reason.
- Long development time wasted on it.
Do you still think it would really help the game?
-
The fact that is is a Legendary Viseral, despite not being a different character or having a new mori, make it even worse.
This is an ultra rare at best.
-
It was. Just like Twins.

There is like no crows on some maps like the game, so it can be utterly useless.
And it can get countered by 3 different status effects: Oblivious, since it doesn't count Oblivious survivors as in the terror radius, Blindness and Undetectable.
-
Or, you could make it so a good skill check gives you 1 token, and reduce the cooldown.

@SidneysBane1996 said:
The perk offers a LOT of aura info for EVERYONE on almost all Killers except for two, both of which are mid-tier to weaker Killers.
The perk being an Invocation that breaks you and can't be combined with another Invocation is valid, correct, and 100% necessary. This is a strong perk already. It doesn't need a buff. Figure out how to use it and you'll see how strong it really can be; it's for more advanced players who have strong loopers on their teams or are themselves strong loopers. And Invocations don't go away once you kill the Invoker, either, so this perk completely alters the game for the rest of the trial.
Yes, wallhacks on Killers IS that strong. And no, they can't just "avoid the crows" any more than Survivors can. That's a really stupid thing to ask Killers to worry about, period.
This is a strong perk already. It doesn't need a buff.
Yep. The worst perk in the game, is strong. Are we even playing the same game?

I don’t agree with shoulder the burden can only activate once on the same survivor. Trading hook stages can already backfire very badly. The change with the aura seems good.
They should remove the cooldown of human greed as well.
Thrill of the hunt could get a secondary effect if they nerf it. - Reduces gen repairing speed, healing speed and sabotaging speed by 3% for each remaining dull/hex totem.
Weaving spider should cost one hook state like shoulder of the burden gives one away.
Agree with most of the rest.
The StB nerf was an attempt to bring this perk into a state people wouldn’t complain about 24/7.
Thrill could get some other form of counterplay instead of a straight-up nerf, like I’ve seen @UndeddJester suggest.
And as for the Invocation, well, the potential is there, especially with the option to almost double the reward, so I just kept the drawback hefty.

Yeah, they should do at least that.

You have to get to a scourge hook first. Which sometimes ain't easy.

Gotta start somewhere. Some say killer is hell, Some solo is hell. I've never seen more introverted gamers than on this forum.
Oh, you would see some really extroverted ones in game if this got implemented.
They would gladly let you know how unsatisfyied they are with your preformance, using insults, screaming and music blasting your eardrums.
If you want to see voice chat in action, look no further than Friday the 13th: The Game. It didn't help a lot there, and they had a more chill playerbase than DBD.

Immature is the better word.
I can guarantee you that even if voice chat was a thing, solo Q would still be hell. Even worse, perhaps.
