I feel like it should supress blood pools again. There was no reason to remove that.

I don't think the current state of the game can hold an 200% Ruin effect. Maybe 125 or 150% at max but ruin is fine for me the way it is now.
If they are going to buff regression, other gen perks could be buffed, like Eruption or Surge.
100% True.
i think that Ruin should be 150%, personally.
But yeah, Eruption, Call of Brine, Dying Light, these are much more in need of buffs
-
So they just pressed Undo for every change.
-
It could be worth a try.

I run corrupt + deadlock on all my killers but it must be hellish for newbies.
That is the one good thing about Pinhead leaving DBD, his perks (all of which are kinda good at slowing the game down or making the game easier for you) will be generic.
-
They dislike additional objectives. They still have to do 5 gens, but there is also another thing to worry about.
Some time ago, I was making a Slenderman concept, which included a side objective that would REPLACE one of the gens with The Eight Pages, so the survivors had to collect them, but only do 4 gens on top instead of 5.

Because the perk encourages caring for other survivors, without these restrictions the perk would encourage sandbag other survivors for your own benefit.
Currently, it encourages you to not run it.
-
The perk could be pretty decent, if it didn't have that atrotious activation requirement.
-
She has multiple bugs, clunky features, and a pretty irrelevant mechanic in Houndsense.
She needs a lot of bug fixes and QOL.
Then, adjust Snug's vault speed, and give Houndsense more passive things to do that don't require a hit to trigger.
And of course, revisit some of her weaker add-ons.
-
I feel like it didn't need an entire rework, a perk that helps with slugging for pressure is fine, but one that helps with 4 man slugging is not.
The ideal rework would be to have all effects be on a timer (hiding the aura included or completely removed from the perk).

I dont believe that feature has been released yet. Shouldn't be on the PTB. I could be wrong though.
Nope. Not yet. They didn't release everything on this Patch.
On the topic, removing the BP cap would be nice.
-
Have you learnt nothing from MFT?
-
My idea of a rework would be this:
- You can also now see Pallets, Totems and Windows while in the radius of it.
- The effects linger for 4/5/6 seconds, replacing the increased cleansing/blessing speed.
- Extend the radius to 32 meters.
- The perk now also ignores Blindness.

BHVR use Amazon GameLift for server hosting. There is at least two official server locations in south africa. Also Amazon GameLift supports hosting on own hardware. that means they could rent servers anywhere they want.
same goes for the middle east, that has at least one official unused location.
russia dont have an official location, but renting servers there is still possible.
Even more of a reason to rent some there.
-
I played him on the PTB last time, so I'm not really up to date. But…
His Dream Snares are good, Dream Projection is good too, Pallets are a decoration mostly, and the clocks make it so it's hard to keep people asleep.
I was also pretty bored playing him. It's eh.
-
This could be solved with more servers.
There is STILL no server in the entirety of Africa, so ping being high is a standard.
Also, the Middle East region has some issues, not sure if those got resolved.
Not matching people from other regions with you for the sake of queue times would also help.
-
Huntress is pretty much in an ideal spot rn. She is very much a killer where you have to get good.
Though, yeah, indoor maps and bad locker RNG are awful for her, but with the first you can't really do anything, and the second is a valid issue that was present in the game for a long time.
The issues you have (mostly) aren't really ones that can be solved without making her unbearable.
As to how you get better, I can't help you as my aim is bad af and I can't play her without my sanity going down the drain.😅
-
I had a match where 2 survivors were always jumping in lockers to deny me Surge value.
-
Artist: DMS, Surveillance
Best perk against her is probably something like Overcome or Windows.
Hag: Surge
Best perk against her is probably Object of Obsession.
-
Oh definitely. The screaming is so annoying, especially in lobby. He is screaming almost every 30 seconds.
-
I feel like Hangman's Trick should be reworked completely.
My ideal version would give you 6 Scourge Hooks instead of 4, make them impossible to sabotage and break after someone dies on them, remove the option to attempt self-unhook (unless given by AFC) and make hooking on them faster.
-
I feel like they will only release a single killer - Springtrap. Others will most likely end up as skins.
As for maps, this could be entirely true. FNAF has so many locations to choose from, it wouldn't surprise me if we got 2 maps right from the get-go.
-
The 3-gens are getting worse.
But, honestly, with maps like the recent Haddonfield, you can't really choose.

Tier lists are opinion pieces that streamers use to get clicks from amateurs. A killer is only ever as strong as the player's skill level. That is why low skill merchant is not a problem for me.
Oh sure, so Trapper players struggle because they are "low skill level" and not because they have a power that is only situationally useful and requires 3 business days of setup to even get value from his power.
Skill will only help you so much when playing M1 only. Hell, that's why we even have killer powers in the first place.
-
@Chiky said:
his perks are trash
Unfortunately.
One is unnecessarily restriced, the other only triggers during endgame, and the third is not that noticable.
-
One thing has to be done.
Totem spawns have to be revisited.
They are all preset spawns, so moving them into spots where you have to search at least a little shouldn't be THAT difficult.

Then you are up for disapointment.
I doubt then can create something "trully unique" like you want after 8 years. Yes, im sure you all have unique and original ideas, that doesn't mean they would translate well into DBD when you take actual Game Design into consideration.
After 8 years of creation, they have found their different achetypes for the game. Dbd is unique and a pretty new type of game with no competitors. The game structure does not allow some crazy stuff to happen. They can't even release a killer without it being bugged for years and you all expect some flying/wall crawling/structure destroying killer with crazy mechanics.
Even big genre like Mobas, fighting games or other have Archetypes. Characters belongs in categories and have tweaks and tricks to make them stand out, just like in dbd. Xenomorph and Sadako are both restricted mobility killers with 7 objects. Xenomorph has anti loop alongside it and Sadako has slowdown. That's their archetype, after that they have everything else to make them stand out from other killers.
With how many people i see saying things akin to that for the FNAF chapter, we are probably heading toward another "Alien" in term of expectations/disapointment. Springtrap can have many different abilities, they will go for something that fits existing archetype like stealth/tracking or stealth/lethality, stealth/slowdown.
Every killers have something unique to them, no matter their archetype. So Springtrap will have something akin to the tunnels, torment, condemn or the illusory footsteps. I doubt it will be enough since people are going to find any similarities for a failed design and a revamp like every chapters.
Also, the least popular killers are all the most originals/ambitious in term of design :
Pinhead, Knight, Twins, Xenomorph, Sadako, Singularity, Dredge, Hag and even Skull merchant. All hated because they have ambitious designs.
The most popular killers are all very simple killers in design, most of them being movement/dash killers like Billy which is just dash or Wesker which is dash + simple infection.
Clearly, originality is not people main focus. People want fun killers, which, while being subjective, is most of the time low skill floor, high skill ceiling, strong, movement based killers.
BHVR is not encouraged to try new things when people hate every one of their most ambitious design or anything they change in general.
Pretty well said. I do hope that they will try to make Springtrap unique at least in some way.

Watching a lot of streams and focusing on the good players who have figured him out. His techs and mobility are becoming insane and from what I can tell, survivors are having a pretty tough time against him.
It's not a case of skill issue and giving it time for survivors to learn, its a case of not having that many options to begin with. His mobility simply doesn't allow for that much breathing room and less skilled players will struggle a LOT.
That being said, a ghoul who isn't very good isn't going to noob stomp out the gate. You have to learn how to play him, and the skill ceiling is insane. It is not clear whatsoever how to properly play him or against him for that matter.
It's a situation of should this killer be allowed to be this strong because they're difficult to play? Blight, Nurse and Billy are all strong, but are difficult to master and properly play. I'm just so excited for this killer, but I'm worried about where the line will be drawn if the devs nerf him. Bug fixes first of course and some tweaks, but they have to be careful if it's decided that nerfs are needed.
I feel like the dust needs to settle before we can judge.
Unknown seemed awesome until players learnt how to play.
Lich seemed great until people started to catch on.
Houndmaster seemed bad, but the buffs got her into a nice spot.
We should wait before judging.
-
This is one of the many reasons why the devs should slow down with the new content (except QOL updates), because they keep breaking stuff with every single patch.
-
Oh, so they actually did make it killer sided.
Lol.
But anyways, I agree with @ReverseVelocity . Throwing a killer sided map into the Eyrie realm is a lazy way to balance it. It will likely get the job done and deter survivors from spamming Eyrie offerings, but they should've just reworked the original map again to make it not so overwhelmingly survivor sided.

We literally have killers currently who are "not killers" by their nature and don't want to be doing what they are doing. Look into the lore of wraith for example. So it stands to reason that it can happen again.
I mean: Artist, Wraith as you mentioned, Deathslinger in a way (the Entity manipulates him to see people who wronged him instead of survivors), etc.
-
It'd be interesting to see.
Probably not OP, but kinda odd.

Coup and Thunder Thighs do not extend Frenzy Lunges.
Oh, they don't?
Aw, man! Too bad.
-
Agree with you.
I have some ideas for the Shape add-ons:
Vanity Mirror: You can now also stalk when in Tier II, but instead of getting to Tier III, next time you kick a gen it will lose 4% more progress than usual.
Scratched Mirror: Remove the speed penalty, that never made sense. The add-on is a meme anyway, so might as well leave it at that.
-
The matchmaking should be stricter. That way, you'd get teammates and opponents that are closer to your level
-
Edit:
Made an adjustment to the costs of already purchased perks.
-
Friendship Bracelet (brown add-on)
, Coup de Grace (Twins perk) and All-Shaking Thunder (Houndmaster perk) all extend your Lunge range. If all stars align and everything is active, you get a 315% of your regular Lunge. But, I'd mostly count on it being only 240%, because All-Shaking Thunder is REALLY hard to get value from.It doesn't work. 😭
-
Hag
Add-ons: Dried Cicada and Rusty Shackles
Perks: Corrupt, PWYF/STBFL, Surge, Monitor
Artist
Add-ons: Severed Hands and Festering Carrion
Perks: Pain Res, Dead Man's Switch, Iron Maiden, Tinkerer (Surveilance works too)
Myers
Add-ons: Lock of Hair and Hair Bow/Judith's Journal
Perks: Corrupt, PWYF, Spirit Fury, Enduring (swap for Surge or STBFL)

meanwhile deathslinger who has 32 meter radius and has a shittier power than huntress who got 16 meter terror radius such an amazing logic from behaviour :D
Huntress has 24 meters. And a lullaby so stealth is not as impactful on her.
But even though all that is true, Deathslinger's TR should be 28 meters, or less.

I get anxious when playing survivor.
I only get killer frustration.

I'd think about buying 2-5, but definitely buy the nun. The chase music, plus they could do something shadow based. Just like in the movies where she appears after slowly moving a shadow/silhouette of herself. Plus she would have some creepy chase music
Oh god no.
I don't want that cheap jumpscare mashine in this game.
The Nun was good as a background villain in The Conjuring. Her own movie sucked.

You cannot top SH: Gift of Pain, imo.

I would be glad to see these get put into the game.

Lol, and here I thought that they would just put them into the store and be done.
FOMO at it's peak.

Can we have Hag and Deathslinger's smaller ones back, then?
I would love it if Deathslinger got his old TR back.
But why revert Hag? She only had it decreased from 28 to 24, why nerf her back?

There are a lot of maps that need reworks rn.
Haddonfield and Forgotten Ruins are part of this list. As well as Eyrie, Badham, The Game, Swamp maps, Hawkins Lab, Disturbed Ward, maybe Midwich.

Unless you legally have to change them, can you keep them the same?
That's the problem tho.
I think they are required to change them, as their license expired and they don't have access to the rights anymore.
-
Oh I'll tell you why.
Because SOMEONE decided it was a great idea to make variants for each map in the game I guess, and gave Ormond 3 variants of the same map EVEN though the Lake Mine was in the works. (You can't tell me that they didn't know about adding it when they made the variants, it was not that long ago.)
So even if you go to Ormond with an offering, you don't get the map.

Yea, the different names is weird and is going to cause much confusion in the community.
I feel like they should just do the same thing as they did with ST and make it so everyone sees Pinheads perks in the same way.

Just make the other killers better, and they won't seem so strong by comparison. THAT is what the devs should've done years ago. But they keep nerfing like Pig, Freddy, Chucky, Demogorgon, and Xenomorph. They have no idea what they're doing.
They have some idea.... but not the best, yeah.
For example, the new Xeno nerfs, a bad idea in its entirety.
But the TR changes are pretty good.
