I like her a lot. The gameplay feels nice to me (when it works lol), her design and lore are interesting to me.
Her perks are situational, yes. Jagged Compass is great but the rest kinda sucks.
Her Ultimate Houndmaster cosmetic is criminally overpriced.
-
I agree with problem no. 1.
The TR requirement is too restrictive.
I don't, however, feel like the duration of the aura reveal or the inconsistency are that much of an issue. The bigger problem here is the drawback. 60 seconds in the Basement and Broken on top of that.
My choice would be to remove the TR requirement (as OP suggested) and change the permanent Broken to Oblivious (and potentially Blindness to all auras not revealed by the perk, but I don't think it's nessesary)
-
As Reinami mentioned, these killers often end up as a disaster or a joke.
On the other end, variety is good and if BHVR didn't always give in to the complaints from people who probably play blindfolded, these killers could be good.
(Please BHVR, give Trapper and Hag some attention and buffs they deserve)
-
Yeah, chests should be worth opening. I would make Plunderer's effect basekit and increase the overall rarity.
-
You can't stop people from throwing a fit.
Oh well.
-
The werewolf archetype is way too big of an opportunity to be just Huntress reimagined.
If they do make one, they will likely create an entirely new character for it.
-
Predrop every pallet, rush gens.
Voilá, 8 times out of 10, you escape easily.

Nah, I dont think I wanna see Balanced Landing and Dead Hard or Sprint Burst and Dead Hard.
Sorry mate, we tried it once with multiple exhaustion perks and it was really bad.
I think most agree Dead Hard is in a fine balanced place atm. It's still good, just not the best perk in the game.

This is why limited time game modes either need to be rare, or iterated on when they come out again. Eventually a meta forms and the mode becomes stale.
For chaos shuffle, you're seeing a much faster meta evolution, but it's the same thing that happens in the main game: killers realized very quickly that camping and tunneling perks are gone, so they can use those tactics excessively and there's effectively nothing survivors can do about it.
Because there's also no catch up mechanic for survivors, the only way to even have a chance to win is to finish gens before someone gets tunneled out.
It's literally the same thing in the main game, only that things like DS or OTR make the tunneling process barely longer by introducing a single speed bump.
I agree with the first sentence 100%.
The more often we see the same modes repeated without changes, the less people will goof around and instead start being tryhards.
-
Colorblind settings (and accessibility in general) have never been BHVR's strong suit.
As to the playerbase, yeah.
-
As a killer, I can't be bothered to play him.
I generally dislike hard to control killers, and the initial turn rate screwed me over more than it helped.
-
If matchmaking was stricter, and backfilling from other MMR brackets wasn't a thing, lobby dodging would be completely ineffective.
-
Hexes would benefit from better hiding spots. Most of the time, they are in plain sight. Another thing that I've seen a lot and agree with, is that Hexes should light up only once they start doing something.
Boons should have 32 meter radius to compensate for the totem spawns getting changed (this is important), should have their shimmering sound made quieter, should take less time to put up and should destroy the totem they are in after getting snuffed from that totem twice.
-
I like the idea of a follower drone, probably even more than Drone Propulsion.
However, I do like the Red Light, Green Light mechanic too. That one would be fine to stay.
-
Sounds like a bug.
-
I feel like they just could have either put the aura block on a timer or remove it, and keep/buff the rest.
Slower recovery/crawling isn't that bad, neither is Deafened or the decreased F.O.V (both of which are purely cosmetic, let's be real).

Boy legion is going to be THE noob stomper. He was already bad, but with those buffs…
Counterpoint, Hag, Plague, Vecna and Pig exist.
-
For killer, either Pain Res (if you are M2) or Surge (for M1s).
For survivor: Kindred or Deja Vu.
-
I feel like salvaging the Drone Propulsion and combining it with Lock On would be nice.
So you get a Drone that you can set on a survivor to always track them, and maybe also do something else, not sure what exactly.
-
The idea of targeting a survivor with a drone to make them vulnerable instead of launching the drone into them seems nice, I kinda like it!
I would also like (if this will be considered) that the drone will follow the targeted survivor, always revealing them and people around (that way you have moving drones too)

These are my thoughts.
Tracking via Drones:
• Glad this one didn't change. If it stays like before (letting you know that they're there and maybe even giving you an audio hint), this part will be fine.
• Lock On and Claw Traps being removed is kinda weird. I hope that changing the drone rotation will stay.Drone Propulsion:
• I kinda like this. As someone who didn't play SM before, I won't miss the old static drones. So, all fine here imo.
• I just hope that she will be able to aim the drones before sending them towards survivors/cancel the send-off.Drone Hacking:
• Unless the hack is being omega-buffed to be insanely difficult, revealing SM's aura after is dumb and highly abusable by survivors. Not a fan.Red Light, Green Light:
• This is Grandpa's Sonar from TCM. It will probably not be that useful, but funny regardless.Final Thoughts:
• While these changes seem relatively fine to me, removing Claw Traps and Lock On (and maybe the Change Drone Rotation mechanic) probably wasn't the best move.
• They could have stayed in some way, for example removing status effects aside giving Claw Trapped survivors Broken until removing it and making it so drone hacking removes stacks instead of full-on aura reveal would be fine too probably. -
Yeah, I agree.
How the hell am I supposed to know how enjoyable will her power be to verse?
The questions should have been different, or there should be a "What other thoughts do you have?" question.
-
Aside from that she also has these bugs:
• Iri Wheel Handle gives you Undetectable regardless of you standing on the Search Path.
• Snug sometimes sits in place for no reason.
• Houndsense sometimes doesn't apply (not 100% sure)
• The Spyglass add-on occasionally doesn't work (again, not 100% sure)
• She was supposed to have voice lines when getting stunned. She doesn't have them now.

exactly, No Mither for survivor, and rapid brutality for killer. Those 2 shouldnt be in rotation
Rapid Brutality isn't that bad. Sure, it removes Bloodlust, but most killers can manage even without it.
If there is a killer perk that should be out of the rotation, I'd say Dark Arrogance.
-
@Mat_Sella said:
At the very least there should be certain limitations of perk combos.
If you have No Mither, you should not be able to gain Self-Care, Inner Strength, Strength In Shadows, Second Wind, Clean Break, Reactive Healing, Resurgance, Moment of Glory, For The People, Dramaturgy, Finesse, etc. etc.
If I cannot be healthy, I should not be given perks that can make me healthy, or require being healthy.
No Mither should be simply removed from the rotation.
There is no other perk (aside old Predator) that directly nerfs you that much.

Superior Anatomy does 40% and has a cooldown of 30 seconds though.
They should leave it at 25% but drop the the stun penalty from pallets and flashlights
And Superior Anatomy should have a 20 second cooldown
But that would make the gimmick disappear.
Dark Arrogance is currently meant to be a kind of risk-reward perk, and I don't think that's a bad idea.
But, if Superior Anatomy would end up powercrept by Dark Arrogance, then they could just drop the cooldown altoghether.
-
It should be 35%.
The end.
-
i really enjoy the Shape, even tho it's a gamble every game.
-
Add in Hag (12 of her add-ons are of the repeating type, 2 of her purples are useless), Unknown (who has 9 status effect add-ons for some reason), Deathslinger and Myers (Tombstone aside, he has 4 power duration add-ons that do the same, 5 aura reading add-ons and so on)
-
Regression/slowdown perks that need buffs:
Eruption, CoB, Overcharge, Thanatophobia, Dying Light, Undone

Almost all killer perks are fine and have values unlike survivors only surv perks needs changes, some killer perks should be nerfed
Ahem.… Territorial Imperative and Shattered Hope would beg to differ.
There are trash perks on both sides.
-
I don't see anything wrong with this.
I'd like it a lot.
-
Judith's Tombstone is currently crap, as you practically have to run it with Tuft of Hair and charging up Tier III with that will take the whole game.
Tombstone Piece is busted, as always. It should just work in a way where you have to drain all Stalk Points from a survivor before being able to kill them.
-
I feel like making it so that the totem lights up only when it starts to work would be easier and more fair.
And, of course, fixing some of the terrible totem spawns that are the main reason Hexes suck would be great.

Do you have any ideas what new ones they could add?
For another one I can only think of making a smell status effect, where you leave clouds behind, that get smaller and disappear after a certain time.
I had one called Amnesia that would, in short, remove your HUD completely.
-
They are probably aware of how jarring Plague and Clown can be for people with Emetophobia and Coulrophobia, and don't want to repeat themselves with one of the most common fears.
Another reason could be the problematic nature of making a killer that can climb walls (the main reason why the Ghoul cannot go up and down floors with his power).
-
There is this one person on the forums, @Jtflorencio , that is pretty vocal about Fire Up, Brutal Strength and the new Forever Entwined being pretty mid.
In short, they believe that Fire Up should already start with 1 token, with the max. being 6. The numbers would be the same.
And I agree with this take.
-
Well, the devs are really careful with perk designs, especially since MFT came out, so most of the new perks are bad or mid.
-
I'm almost completely a killer main.
I'm having fun so far, nothing to really complain about too much.
-
Last time I checked, the Wolf form was meh for the most part and overshadowed by his other 2 powers.
But anyway, I don't think he's so overpowered that immediate nerfs are needed. There are worse cases.

I’m not exactly saying Hag needs to be 115% or any of the other aforementioned killers need to be 110%. I’m just making a point that her kit in the state it’s in now is outdated and doesn’t have the lethality it used to because of how much the game has grown and changed, but Hag really hasn’t changed much with it. The only real meaningful change she’s had is the trap wiping, and then some small buffs last year that really didn’t do much to help her. And on top of that, she has a slower base speed. That doesn’t mean she needs to be faster, or Hillbilly needs to be slower. Just that she has a niche power that is pretty weak outside of lower MMR and she is slow, which together hinder her.
I do agree with you that she could really benefit from a short duration of haste after teleporting to a trap, or even a longer lunge. And I do agree that she needed that QoL change of wiping traps for survivors. I only think she needs some meaningful changes to put her in a good spot.
Oh, absolutely.
She is one of, if not the most outdated killer in the game. She shares that spot with Myers. One of her add-ons, Grandma's Heart, is the last remnant of the pre-Undetectable times, as it only reduces your TR to 0 instead of making you undetectable.
She definitely needs a bigger update just like Myers recieved, if not even bigger. (I'm not also completely satisfied with the state Myers is in, as some improvement are still needed).

I'm so eager to buy a new survivor who can perform another ritual that I have to ask here directly ^^ I will generally buy any survivor who can perform their own ritual, no matter how good or bad the ritual is. ^^ But I would also generally celebrate if a wizard came into play who stood out for his arcane abilities.
Please tell me that there are plans for more survivors with their own ritual.
Personally, I love the concept of Invocations, it's just the one-size-fits-all drawback that BHVR seems to insist on that ruins them big time for me (and a lot of people).
But most of the playerbase has given up on them, and I wouldn't be surprised if the devs did the same. Then again, I might be wrong.
-
The Hatch is there so at the very least you have some hope, even if the match is going horribly.
If it weren't for the Hatch, the game would be essentially over after 2 people are dead.
-
Oh boy, I've been waiting for this one.
Imo, Hag doesn't need to be 115%, if her power gets buffed. My changes to her would be these:
• Increasing the teleport range to 54 or 56 meters (since with the current Hag you HAVE to run range add-ons)
• She gets a 10 or even 15% movement speed boost after teleporting to a trap for a few seconds. (The devs added the wipe mechanic for a reason, take your S Tech somewhere else)
• She now gets a loud noise notification when a trap gets wiped away, and doesn't get one when a trap is tripped. (You stil have the HUAaaaa sound)
• She gets an add-on pass.
-
Agree.
Also, maybe add some new ones into the mix too.

I wonder why i should play it.
Normal incentives , no event tome, no badge, no banner.
So its normal mode just you escape even less because you have no control over your perks?!
Even last time, there was at least the tome, now it's nothing.
I wonder why did they even bother with it atm.
-
Isn't that just a nerf to an already bad perk?
Because right now, at the very least you can use Huntress Lullaby to get extra regression with a skill check build. With this change, it won't turn on until half of the gens are already done.
I'd say remove the tokens altogether, with no further ifs attached.

Yes, they made her tall due to her and Baermar essentially being skins AND sharing the same kit (perks), even though they could have made them two different survivors (like the legendary survivor skins) instead.
From the perspective of someone who has played a lot of RPG's and adventure games, they kinda did Aestri dirty in that regard, since elves are typically a little shorter than humans, and they are also have more slender bodies
Funny how they did the exact opposite of what they probably should.
-
So basically upgraded Deafened and the old fog?
Sure, why not.
