DS is OP, because you cant counter it without perk.

You can only dribble and reduce the stun time a little bit.
And dribble is situational.
You cant counter noed. You either choose insta down or secondary objective
Um... The secondary objective ia the counter my friend
When i take noed i dont lose anything cause survivors will either do objectives longer or i m going to have insta down. They cant counter it they only choose what they going to deal with . But if i fail ds as survivor it s like i didnt even had any perk at all thus it was countered .
-
What i asked for is it possible to chainsaw someone as soon as you got close for good Billy main? I think since he have insta down ability it takes more skill to accomplish that

I would like to see how many times ds can be used in hands of good survivor when killer knows about it and can counter it without unnerving presence. Cause as for me i rarely hit it when killer rotate his camera in any way so i always try to hit it when killer dont expect it. If survivor can hit it 99% times at the first pick up then i would say that ds is op perk otherwise its gambling while noed isnt.NoShinyPony said:@Entità said:
Both of them are reasonable. The wide divide between a Solo Player and a SWF team is the real problem.DS is not a problem when it's used by an average player. But in the hands of a very good survivor, DS is super unbalanced. And here is the thing with balance: A game has to be balanced around its best players, not around the average players.
And I agree, the divide between Solo and SWF is a big problem. But that doesn't mean that the current state of DS is not a problem.
-
Well same goes for nurse you cant instantly be good with her bad nurse is the weakest killer you can bully aroundKingB said:Nurse. However Billy isn't someone you can pick up and instantly be good with. He takes a lot of skill to be able to consistently hit chainsaws. -
I always thought otherwise maybe because i havent played Billy much. I wouldnt say Nurse is that much of a challenge she learns fast too
-
I dont know really why Noed considered to be strong why people even bother cleaning totems its good to do obly if situation allows it to you( killer didnt kill anyone for 4 gens). You wont believe me but as soon as learned how to play i was never downed by noed . Only when killer was chasing me at a time gens got done but i dont feel outplayed in that case cause i already was chasing with killer long enough or even better case when he downs you when you already were injured. I guess noed is an issue for people that simply cant keep it stealth people that always gets to be found at the first minute of a game
-
Both are fine .
1.1 Just break the totem.
1.2 Just keep it stealth after gens are fixed.
2.1 Just dont pick up or dont chase first.
2.2 Just dribble or dont carry long ( there are hooks everywhere)
-
I agree ruin shouldnt be hex but it must be a perk cause it still affects the gameplay it just depends on survivors and killer

I always like to take on the 3v1s as a Survivor because of the extra challenge. When you beat them, you feel like you and whoever got stuck in that match with you were good and outplayed the Killer.Sometimes they suck, but that's when I do chest searches and totem breaking and play kinda differently. They can be fun.
But in reality killer just lost a challenge when one dced early so he play the way so you could have a chance to beat him i mean always do so

Kind of my feeling about players on consoles. Pc versions has a lot of kids , trolls due to being easier to access i may switch to consoles as well with given an opportunity.Poweas said:I'm not even joking I'm a top tier survivor and if I spent more then about 2 hours a week on this game, which is how much I spend per week rn (rank 11 with that btw even when I get tunneled in half my games), I'd straight up be rank 1. Ik that because on Xbox I used to play way more and got to rank 1 with EASE. Once the console patch comes out, I'm for sure going back to Xbox because there's less stress with bad teams since the killers don't get too salty (compared to SOME PC killers who literally tunnel you for 1 chase longer then 30 seconds) and teams are very good there even if they're not SWF, they are competent and play well. But bad teams are natural they're everywhere in this game, just become a 'Solid' in the team. That's what I like to call the best player, a 'solid' because they're normally good enough to help the whole team win by doing long chases. Matchmaking makes there only be 1 'solid' per team as I've seen so far but sometimes you'll get a whole team of 'solids' who play as if they're SWF but actually don't even know each other ^^. This matchmaking needs fixes tho since 1 month of playing this game should not make u rank 1 (no offense you seem like a chill guy)

I think kindred as base kit is going to only buff solo survivors and wont affect swf in any way.The_Crusader said:
By "they" I assume you're including me, because obviously wanting something to make solo survivor less of a headache meand I want killers nerfed to the ground.Rebel_Raven said:
They didn't mention anything about that for a reason.Master said:Why not, but what would be the compensation on the killers side?
I've said before it wouldn't be unacceptable to ask 4 man SWF squads to lose a perk slot.
They get kindred, alert, bond, empathy etc etc all for free. Sure it's not quite as good as seeing an aura but they get enough information to cover all of those perks plus they have the benefit of co-ordination.
It wouldn't be extreme to say when people join up as a 4 man they have 1 perk slot disabled.
If the devs are too afraid to do that then they could at least compensate killers by giving them increased BP. Everyone knwows SWF is much harder due to the co-ordination, therefore maybe 1.5x BP for a 3 man and 2xBP for a 4 man. At the very least.
Suddenly losing isn't as bad if you're raking in BP for it. It also rewards killers for taking on SWF, rather than their new matchmaking system which forces them into it against their will.
The whole point here is to make solo survivor more enjoyable, and stop SWF from being overpowered.
Plus the more enjoyable solo is = more solo players = less killers crying about swf all the time. -
Crutch hatch is a thing only if killer allows it
-
There are several issues with that.Blueberry said:P2P wouldn't even make my top 10 list of issues for the game. Join lobby, look at ping, stay or leave if. Zero issues.
1 . Too long to find good ping(60-80).
2. Killer has advantage in ping over you no matter what.
3. Killer dodge prolonging matchmaking.
4. Lag switch.
5. The game lags due to poor connection on killers side. -
Yes nobody likes boring games where survivors just run around with zero coordination were these developers stupid enough to think that balancing game around solo players is a good idea lol good job so far
-
Yes only for that in solo other times you dont even need it since you can abuse communication instead
-
I play other pvp games too but bad players in this game is the most cancer and i guess it is that way due to its boring mechanics like hooking people gen fixing slugging etc etcBigBubs said:Only in DbD , right?

2 separate systems.
Works for FPS games, in ranked systems certain perks are banned and you can't use them with higher rewards. Different cosmetics and such.
Also works for certain MMORPGS, you have casuals and rank players.
Better players and rewards in ranked play.
Casuals stick to casual gaming with few average rewards.
Solved.
I dont see why it would be a good idea why play dbd casually theres no point no sense to play it that way. Just make it hard to rank up. Actually it works fine sometimes even now since you always get deranked from rank 1 if you failed which was a good idea right now i dont even see players of rank 1 when i play ( rank 1) i always get matched up with rank 2 players.
I'm not sure if you've realized but your Rank 1 isn't shown to other players. I believe they'll and you'll always see Rank 1's as Rank 2.

Yeah, that's totally a counter. Like cleansing totems to completely avoid the spawning of NOED... oh wait, no it's not. You can dribble, that's 2 as well as maneuver them to a better spot before downing them so that ds becomes useless. You can dribble 15 meters. Unless you are close to a hook, DS has no real counter.
DS rewards bad players.
NOED punishes gen rushers.
Those are 2 different things, but most people seem to think they are the same.
3) unerving presence
4) swing around
Also you should get yourself downed either near pallet or some good loop in hope that you MAY hit DS to get good use of perk and killer may just leave you there and get use of it. So killer doesnt suffer from ds.
So a slightly more difficult "skill" check and playing the lottery (because the hit animation would have at the exact moment of the skill check) are your counters?
claps slowly
Yeah those REALLY are as effective as simply cleansing totems to avoid NOED.
facepalmWas i ever comparing those perks? If i did i never meant it I agree noed is easier to counter . hitting ds is a lottery to me too if you can consistently hit it then yeah it may be really good perk

Yes, because as Orion pointed out already, they weren't buffs as such. The only actual "buffs" she got were a cool-down reduction to 15 seconds for her Powers (instead of the former 20 seconds) and the Prayer Beads Bracelet to eliminate all phasing sounds. Everything else was intended from the start. The sole reason it wasn't ready then was that the sound interactions with the Terror Radius turned out to be more complicated to program than the devs anticipated.
Im not every day hero on forums here i didnt know that . Reducing cooldown speed was a buff though
So you admittedly threw out a baseless opinion instead of even trying to figure out why she was "buffed"?
My thread is not about spirit in particular its about that we always going to get balance changes just because people complain. Have you read it ?

Well if the stats show that no one is playing the new killer and the few people who do, get 0 kills, I'd say there are some buffs required.
Unless, of course, you prefer to only see the same killer on rank 1.
Survivors should honestly vote for killer buffs. It's in their own interest.
2 weeks to completely understand killer?

If you cleanse a dull totem the game should give you the Hex notification icon ONLY, not the actual Hex indicator though (eg. "Ruin"). That way you know a killer has a totem in play and if, by the end of the game, you ruled out all other Hexes then you will know to expect NOED. It encourages survivors to do at least 1 dull at some point during the game which slows down the game, which is ultimately the purpose of NOED - to deter gen rushing. I think that's entirely fair since you can tell a survivor has DS from the obsession spikes (though you can't tell if other survivors have it, but that's a different topic). So how to know if killer has hex in play again ? Explain more
