I wonder how everyone in this forum would react to getting snatched by the entity into an actual trial.
I'd imagine all of this pretty bickering would vanish pretty ######### quick.

That's not the right answer. You can't balance around a system when you expect players to know a language.
Shouldn't the reverse also work. If you are matched with 3 German and one English shouldn't they speak German then,
What about in North America and youvarr matched with 3 South Americans should they then speak Spanish or Portuguese?
It's already the standard in almost every active multiplayer game to have in-game player communication.
The problem of players not speaking the same language is lesser than players not being able to talk to each other at all.
And god knows that players being able to speak to each other has been a problem in dbd for a long while since it was never balanced with that to begin with.

In nutshell, killers have very little, to no control over their games. Unless you play one of the only 5 killer's viable at high level play, you're at the mercy of the survivors.
As a result, less and less people have been playing killer, extending the match making time of survivors at high ranks.
-
Pure, unadulterated, masochism.
-
Ranks have been meaningless for quite a while now. There is a new MMR system that's going to be implemented at some point in the future.
But until then, prepared to get matched up with people hundreds of hours ahead of you.

Mt Ormand. It has every single aspect of a badly designed map:
- Excessively big, making patrolling gens as a killer without mobility a nightmare
- Loops intersect, making chases much longer than they have any right to be
- Almost every pallet is safe, self explanatory
And to top it all off...
- The map has a white filter, making tracking scratch marks and seeing survivor auras harder than normal.
Not even "Carbohydrates, The Map" is as painful to play on.
-
If you're talking about the next chapter, it's been delayed to the 10th.

Definitely footsteps and maybe one breath for me.
When I hear em' I'm like: "But I just spawned... how is a survivor right next to me already?" Lol
"Flash backs to survivors spawning right next to killers"

I like how perfectly it encapsulates the real feel of Dead By Daylight;
- A psychopathic killer being the target prey of a girl barely half his size

LMAO DONT MIND MY TERRIBLE EDITING 🤣🤣
It's not the bad editing I mind.
It's the totally I N E X C U S A B L E spelling error that really rakes my skin.

You know, in every match, despite the killer I'm using, I always hear a weird deep breathing in my ear randomly. I always think it sounds like Myer's breathing.
From what I've gathered so far it seems like a weird bug.
But it's hilarious to think that Myers is just hiding in the trials stalking everyone when he's not participating.

I usually think I hear footsteps randomly. More often than not it's a fire barrel.
Wait. Do the barrels sound like footsteps? I've never paid much attention to them when they aren't blocking me hits.
-
Steam charts seem to reflect this, especially since the next chapter has been delayed.
-
I mean this happens when there are literally no survivors near me. I can be in the middle of an open field with no cover for hiding and I still sometimes hear it.
-
I'm a killer main because I'm an overachieving masochist who enjoys breaking down a brick wall with nothing but a plastic spoon and my own skull.

I'd prefer if they just changed the required protection hits from 3 to 2.
-
Making it so that exhaustion no longer goes down during a chase.
I thankfully wasn't around for when Sprint Burst had a mere 20 second timer, but dear god if getting more than one proc in a single chase wasn't frustrating.
I felt like a hilariously bad cartoon villain at times. Always over reaching with his swings as the survivors Hanna Barbara'd away just as I tried to hit them.
-
Seeing a survivor attempting to hide, either in a locker or in a corner somewhere, and pretending not to notice them, only to go directly in-front of their hiding place and slowly turn towards their direction.
-
They do. Just not as pronounced as later released obsession perks.
-
Being able to choose what hook will appear in the trial as killer.
Could be easily chosen in the same menu that decides hook decorations.

If they would hear us, ONI then the SHAPE of our future would be great. No... Too much of a... CLOWN? *Exits out the nearest door*
I would have opted for the classic, "curved cane drags you by the neck", but I guess the door works too.

Ah i see another man of culture as well
Yes. I am a connoisseur of those with murderous intent.
-
I have clicked the poll, eaten the forbidden fruit, stolen the golden idol and devoured the distant light of neighboring suns.
There is no blacker and deeper void than the one that exists within my mind, craving that which cannot be obtained.
And it cannot, nor ever will be, filled. All will be consumed in the name of content. For my hunger for content can never be sated, quenched or weakened.
I am the all-consuming.
I am the all-hunting.
And I am... getting tired of this prose so I guess I'll end it now.
Yeet.

My murderous psychopath is better than your murderous psychopath!

Objectively, nothing you can do is toxic. How insulted or offended you are at something entirely depends on you, no matter how irritable your experience becomes as a result.
-
As much as I would like it if the devs finally addressed some of the issues that have Plagued, (get it), this game for so long, their current business model may not allow it. Or maybe it could and they just want the extra money.
Honestly, none of us know why they're focusing so much on new content besides the obvious revenue they get from adding it.
-
In my head Nemesis would be a terrifying, monstrous threat. But I think that upon him actually being implemented, that vision would fade quickly.
-
The RE:Killer might work for killer's that still care about BP's. The more you play the less people tend to care about getting them.
I think that dbd needs to re-design it's objective system so it's not boring for survivors and not frustrating as killer.
Sadly this change cannot be done in a band-aid fix so it's unlikely we'll see it anytime soon.
-
I've already done all of the challenges and am currently waiting for the final ones to come out for this tome.
I hope that Huntress gets some lore in the next one.
-
It was a useful, if not minor, time saving tool. Now there's just an empty space on the UI with nothing there, making it look incomplete.
-
Proposed rework:
- There are multiple Legion members in the trial at once
BUT
- Survivors take more hits to down
I've tested this out in a KYF using the 2-killer glitch with "Stab Wounds Study" and "Franks Mix-tape" to get a glimpse of this re-work could be and it was extremely fun to both play as and against.

@DetailedDetriment said:
This would be another form of toxic killer behavior. Besides, you have always had to work for the mori; just giving it away is pathetic.
Depending on the killer you play as, hooking a survivor and then killing them the moment they get off the hook can be laughably easy.
If anything, killing 3/4 survivors would take way more effort than Red/Green Mori's require now and would be a welcome edition to the game.
-
It would be better if survivor perk sets were changed rather than being straight-up removed.
-
If I have a decent team then I don't mind going against any killer. But going against Hag without a good team is a nightmare, especially when going for hook saves.
You have no idea how many times I've saved someone, only for them to immediately run, trigger a trap, and then be put right on the hook.
-
Honestly a balanced game should always give the most skilled player/s their just rewards, regardless of kills.
A great killer getting 2 kills against mediocre survivors may be fair for the latter, statically speaking, but not good if the former put way more effort towards winning and only lost because of a bad map.
Likewise with a good survivor getting paired up with bad/new team mates and then loses as a result.
-
She's not terrible, but not good either. Her power is easily countered by simply never cleansing until the end game, and erases all perks that affect healing from the game.
The fountain buff is a nice band-aid but she could definitely do with some more changes to actually encourage survivors to cleanse.
-
Creepypasta's are generally badly written and overrated. I'd much prefer an original killer, or even a mediocre licensed killer, to one taken from hilariously bad stories from the internet.
-
The only thing that I'd argue is toxic is hurling insults in the end game chat. It is easy to deflect players being "toxic" in the actual game because you can counter what they are doing, (depending on your team/build), but otherwise it's better just to close the chat and move on to the next salt-fest.
Not like there's ever a shortage of them.
-
Doctor with the interview tape add-on. Without it he can still find people fairly easily and apply some map pressure, but with it he can flat out deny a majority of loops if he's good with his shock.
Try it out sometime! I consider it a direct upgrade once you get good enough.
-
It's just another overused meme in the already mountain sized pile. Do not treat it with any more scorn than it deserves.
-
I'd love to see an outfit for Huntress that gives her a snake head. Cobra or Python preferably.
-
I'm not sure. Canonically, it's uncertain if killer's get some input in what their powers are. Sure, Even and Max were already good at butchering using their respective methods, but It's unlikely that Sally and Rin got a say in being turned undead.
As for me, I think my power would be related to climbing and/or speed. Mainly being able to climb over obstacles and loops.

That actually sounds like a cool concept and idea.
You can actually test it out by using the 2-killer glitch in a KYF lobby and having both legions use "Stab Wounds Study" and "Franks Mix-tape".
It's loads of fun and I can only hope that Legion is re-worked to it as I think it's way more fitting of their character and would finally make them unique and not just another M1 killer.
-
Here is a simple but very difficult to implement re-design for Legion.
- There are multiple Legion members in the trial at once. (Add-ons may change to amount)
BUT
- Survivors take more hits to down. (3-4)
-
I'm not sure I understand you. Do you mean survivor bots or killer bots?
-

Why cant it be 4v4? Its crazy but still better than bots.
Mostly because each individual Legion member would have to be drastically scaled down in terms of power to make it fair. And maybe even then, you'd have enough killers to chase every single survivor at the same time. Making gen progression impossible unless there was some massive downside for the people playing Legion. Which, in turn, would make playing them not as fun anyway.

Sadly the game designed to be 1v4. No matter how weak a Killer lore is, the number of Killer will always be 1.
UNLESS they able to create an AI to control another Legion that able to chase Survivor (tend to be stupid though), which players able to switch control between 2 Legion. That would be perfect.
Though I think their basic attack (or frenzy attack) should cause deep wound, and with each attack cause 1/3 deep wound bar drop (which 4 hits total to down a healthy Survivor; or 3 hits to down an Injured Survivor)
Easily the hardest part of making this proposed re-resign is making the AI. You could take short cuts by having it tail the player when not in a chase but making it efficient in cutting off loops does require decent path finding, and thus requires extensive development time and resources.
But apart from that, it's all roses. Even in the KYF games I've had using the non-intended bug, downing survivors always took 3-4 hits. So officially making that part of Legion's power should be easy enough.
