No thanks. It would become repetetive very quick for players who main a certain character.

^this
Its already quite repetitive getting a dog map 50% of the time
-
In my opinion each killer should have their own pool of maps. This would help with balance SO much and would avoid things like Billy on Lerys or Dredge on Haddonfield.
You could also make it lore accurate by saying something along the lines of: "The Huntress has stepped outside of her domain and can be seen roaming around parts of the Autohaven Wreckers and the Garden of Joy."

the teamwork perks are for a double survi vor chapter and needs to fit the character too, renato and thalita are basically BFF so it makes sense, power of two and the scratch mark one are a bit weak alone, but stronger together, you and your friend can run away super fast without leaving scratch marks
They aint just BFF's, theyre siblings

You missing the part you actually have to be good at the game to do good with Blight, OP stated they're not that good survivors and still won 10 games in a row bringing their strongest load out.
Yes, meaning theyre more than likely goi g against below average killers and they said themselves they brought a stacked loadout.

@MrDrMedicman said:
The mechanics have been explained very clearly by several people. The game forces your inputs to change. You can test it in customs, and if survivors confuse their inputs enough they can manipulate the system. This forum is full of people complaining about it every few months, because it steals hits
And the mechanics have also been explained by the devs themselves.
and im ngl I trust them more
-
Its really not that simple since there are just so many different factors its unreal.
Lets use Dredge as an example, using the best possible perks and add ons while going against a group of Survivors that are equally skilled, all with loadouts to match his. This would be a fair fight, but the map is Haddonfield so his power is practically useless and leans heavily towards Survivors. Switch that map to Midwich and all of a sudden it heavily leans towards his side.
Even just loadouts make a big difference, if a Blight with chill perks runs into a group with meta hes at a disadvantage, but reverse it and all of a sudden the he has the upperhand. But then throw a map offering like Lery's or RPD and now it flips again.
Even map RNG makes a difference. Say Billy is on Autohaven and a bunch of loops spawn with Syn-cars hes cookin, but then switch those up with a bunch of other filler loops and now he has a tougher time.
There is no definitive answer to this question and there never will be as long as maps stay randomized and MM doesnt account for add ons.
-
Id be so down as long as we get the signature lines:
Shaggy: Zoinks!
Scooby: Ruh Roh!
Velma: Jinkies!
Daphne: Jeepers!
Fred: #########!
-
The game heavily favors those who bring in the stronger loadout. If you went against a Alch Ring/Crow Blight for example the game would of probably been pretty equal, if not slightly lean towards his favor because of how damn strong Blight is.
-
they accidentally made him lore accurate

It's current a secret game mechanic. People aren't complaining about it, because they don't understand what's happening.
Or they are complaining about it, but they're calling it "aim assist", and BHVR rushes in to tell us aim assist doesn't exist, and it confuses people into thinking there isn't a mechanic stealing hits. And when people say aim dressing can steal hits, or I talk about the forced short M1 attack, then BHVR refuses to comment. It has been over 6 months since I first reported this. At any point in these 6+ months, BHVR could have corrected me if I was wrong, but they didn't. It's just a flat refusal to comment on this.
Its not a flat refusal, they have addressed it in the past on a live stream. It does sort of exist but the only time it really "steals" a hit is if an object gets in the way at the very frame. They showcased an example at a simplw MacMillan rock loop where the killer was doing a lunge and you could see aim dressing doing its magic, but a part of the rock got in the way of the swing and it hit that instead. Hits out in the open tho? Aim dressing has absolutely nothing to do with it and is purely user error.
So yes, it can rob hits at loops with a very very VERY small chance, but out in the open? Purely user error
-
Ive always found myself going back to Trapper since Ive started playing. He was the very first killer I got to P3 back in March of 2018, and Im looking for him to be my first P100 killer in March as well.
That being said I do play the large majority of killers, just depends on how Im feeling at the time.

Or it’s because lunges have profits checks that are completely separate from the hit validation checks, which means the game could wrongfully force a lunge to turn into a short M1 attack. And it’s stealing and hit specifically because it’s forcing a short m1 attack, and then making a separate check for hit validation.
If this were the case it'd be a lot more widespread
Ive only seen a select few who complain about this

I thought it never happened to you? Which is it?
First of all, read.
Second of all, what Ive just explained is exactly what the devs have addressed, which is hitting an object. Unless the stars align, you were never meant to get that hit to begin with.
And lastly, upon reviewing your last clip of you whiffing 3 times in a row as Wraith, this can be done on PC as well.
The first swing the Survivor wasnt even on your screen when you started the swing, and at the very end of the swing you can see the hit attempting the "dress itself" but the Survivor was clearly too far away
Second swing you did a side input and the same thing happened, the game was going to dress the hit but the Survivor was yet again too far away
And the last one its the same as the first, you started swinging and the survivor wasnt even on your screen and once the swing was over the game attempted it but of course the Survivor was too far away at that point.
So once again, this is simply you whiffing 3 hits in a row.
-
considering it took them like 2 and a half years to add pinhead upwards, i dont see it coming anytime soon

she is worse then her original release form.
I wouldnt say that, main reason why id because her way of spreading condemn is still way faster thanks to the lower cooldowns for the TVs themselves

Cute, least survivors can actually work on different gens with this. After so and so seconds per fresh hook.
hey man i never claimed the sequel was better than the original
-
Her condemned no longer spreads map wide, but instead within 16m of any powered TV.
Her TP cooldown is gone, but she has a timer of 10 seconds where if she teleports inside of that timer she doesnt spread condemned.
On PTB, Condemned would lock in place after a hook, and now it only locks in 2 stacks per hook
She'll be better than her original version when she released, but shes still going to be quite weak

Cool. The devs admit it's real. Bring up auto aim and they'll quickly correct you. Aim dressing steals hits
The only way I can see aim dressing robbing a hit is if theres something in the way. As mentioned previously with input buffering, sometimes it can override certain actions. In this case the game would recognize the Survivor is in the hurt zone, but at the very last moment an object gets in the way and makes you hit that instead.
99% of the time its a whiff anyway, and the only way youre getting a hit is if the Survivor vaccuums themselves into an animation and the very tip of the hitbox connects, especially if one side has higher ping than the other.
Everything stated here is something Ive experienced and it makes sense as its just input buffering, how ever whiffing in the open has no excuse other than the user since theres nothing overriding the prompt/action.

PC player. That explains it. You have great internet and PC advantage. It's mainly a console issue
I had 20fps, and internet where having a ping of 90ms was the best I could get, an I averaged around 150-170ms.
played like that for 2.2k hours. (2245 to be exact, made sure to document that #########)

They are basically infinites, because the windows are god windows that you can't mindgame and MUST follow the survivor through the window because it takes longer to go around than it does to go through the window.
And because there are so many of them, you can't entity block multiple windows at once.
But you will eventually catch up to them
Infinites made Survivors truly uncatchable, and the only thing that could stop it was Trapper who took over 5 seconds to set down one trap which could be disarmed in (I think) 1.5 seconds and permanently sabo'd.
-
Theyre strong windows dont get me wrong. But infinites? Nah. Those have been gone a loooong time ago

Several different people have explained it to you, the devs admit it's a system they implemented, every few weeks someone complains that the mechanics behind it steal hits.
At what point does it become real and something to be addressed for you?
I have yet to experience this for myself in my over 6k hours of playing. When I first started playing I would whiff, and it didnt help when my PC at the time could barely reach 20fps, yet just whiffing out in the open like that has always been my fault due to inexperience.
Even when I played with controller to challenge myself (and I cant use a controller to save my life) I didnt get spun, nor did I whiff like this.
Nowadays if I whiff out in the open, you would be correct to assume I had multiple drinks.

-
This version of Grim Embrace is basically old Eruption without the killer even needing to be anywhere near the hook. On its own this perk is gonna be nuts, with DMS its gonna make people with a peanut allergy start to flare up
-
Feels good to play but awkward at some points due to his animation sometimes not lining up with his throw rate. This becomes very apparent with Moments Blades
To play against is just awful, even worst than before

They call it aim dressing, and it's possible to manipulate
See thats input buffering, not aim dressing
Taking advantage of an action being done too early to override/do another action. This is how CJ techs are performed, or how certain Trapper spots are possible

I've played for years too. I know to short press to avoid lunging, but the game decides otherwise and I'm miles away
Unless there's something wrong with your controller I have no idea how thats possible. I guess try turning up your sensitivity?

There are definitely times where you try to go around a loop, and somehow the aim dressing decides to 90 degree turn you into the wall instead. After 3k+ hours, i can promise you this is a thing.
The only thing I can think of is Billy's chainsaw hitting into an object can flick your camera, normal basic attacks tho? Never experienced it, nor have I ever seen footage of it
-
Survivors hit by a Special Attack do not go down from being Exposed, and do not apply effects like Sloppy Butcher's Mangled and Hemorrhage unless status otherwise.

They absolutely can. If they confuse their inputs enough they can send you flying off into a random direction
Sending you off in a random direction is completely on you. I would know, Ive mained killer for 6+ years now. Tried controller out at one pointband I can barely use a controller to save my life and yet I still wasnt being spun.
The trick is to not try to trail the survivors movement, but rather cut them off. If you see they like going for spins as well you just have to short swing

Idk people just seem to enjoy how back and forth billy is. And maps are a big point to his value. He cant even play on maps like red forest and campbells like he could back then. Much more clutter over the years. People just seem to enjoy playing and facing him. Im glad to see him finally again. And i will probably enjoy him to face and to play infinitely more than the massacre that was overheat.
Idk, Billy really wasnt as universally loved prior to his rework as most people like to claim. He was seen very similarly to current Blight.
He was really fun to play on PTB dont get me wrong, but he really doesnt give Survivors a break in chase.

Honestly, Hillbilly felt fine to me during the PTB. Playing against him again was nice, even nostalgic.
It is mostly Onryo I'm concerned about. Especially the implications this situation has for further killer changes.
Yeah Sadako's changes in the dev update make absolutely 0 sense. They say its to discourage tunneling but it doesnt do that at all. All it does is hurt her ability to slowdown the game
-
@MrDrMedicman said:
The game has a system to "make hits cinematic." Really good survivors can abuse the system to make getting even normal hits tough. Add in some classic lag, and survivor hit boxes being just behind center mass of the model, and killers that don't always hit from behind can feel like they can't hit
Survivors cant "abuse" aim dressing. The game can sometimes recognize youre close to getting a hit but quickly realizes somethings off and refuses it. Even with controller there really isnt an excuse to getting 360'd
-
Sounds to me like youre just whiffing
-
Best Leon player:
-
I always try to run "lore accurate" charms on my killers, (Things like the MacMillan charms on Trapper, or Coldwind ones on Billy) but on Survivors I usually run the same. Meg being my main I run the Serum Vial, her little figurine, and the DbD Mobile one.
-
probably (im bad with money)
-
If I had to choose which killer to nerf from that PTB (Sadako or Billy) it would of 100% been Billy. He was actually insane and I can already tell he's going to be complained about when he reaches live.
Might not be immediately, but I dont see him being the golden child for too long
Now, does that mean I think hes overpowered? No as I havent played enough of him and PTB has MMR all over the place, even moreso than usual. But from what I can see he might be a little overtuned.
-
I think its funny, might give em a few nods myself back
One thing I can guarantee you is that I will nod against a Slinger. Being speared and nodding is one of the funniest looking things in this game

-
Its just a clever way overriding a prompt, very similarly to placing a trap at a certain spot of an exit switch to make them step in it as sometimes the "open exit" one takes priority
-
For me its a Survivor that sticks around in endgame specifically to BM, but theyre actually stupid enough to put themselves in a vulnerable position.
Had 2 games in the same day both as Trapper, one I pretended to walk away and as soon as I saw this Claudette leave the exit area I started walking towards her. For whatever reason though she decided to vault a pallet back and forth before trying to run back towards the exit. Couldnt have been for a challenge since at this point I wasnt close enough to be in chase. She almost made it out, but I still downed her before she could make it.
The other game was a guy t bagging at the gate and as a last ditch effort I placed a trap in the grass next to the gate, and knew I could get away with it thanks to Bear Oil. Sure enough David walked out, pointed, and then stepped into the iron jaws of no return.
Things like that make me see red
P.S. If 360's are something that put Survivors on your naughty list, I guess thats just an offer for a 1v1 :)
-
Went against the Twins for the first time in months last week and I died because I forgot Victor prevents you from escaping lol
-
P100 Survivors are fairly average 90% of the time, hovering around the 1-2k hour mark.
Just play normally, no reason to sweat and stress yourself about it
