While there is a lot of complaining that can be heard on all socials, theyre just a very vocal minority at the end of the day.
Doesnt mean their opinion is invalid, just means that there are more than likely a lot more people that enjoy the event that just simply arent vocal since they tend to stay away from social media (myself included, ######### twitter)

Because he's already a fun killer to play as and against for the large majority of the playerbase
Not everything needs to be made with viability in mind. As long as its fun, that's all that matters

I remember the time, though, when everything was manually and it was so painful.
After the grades reset a bloodpoint spending session could easily last 45-60min and it was such a slog.
I remember when a node took about 3 seconds to fill, then a "click to continue" prompt would pop up.
All for a poopy brown medkit that costed 8k bloodpoints.. they didnt even give you 1 full heal!

Legion was promo'd as if they were another survivor but that was quickly dispatched. If any yous remember the adverts for Jeff running along side Frank as if they were friends, but in a dramatic turn, put on the mask and attacks Jeff.
Albeit not a true mimic, it was trickery to show survivors beware of their surroundings.
Later on though, Cote expressed that a mimic type killer would be too deceptive. And unfair to play against.
And honestly with how aura perks work anymore. Survivors as players will find out who the killer is anyways.
The trailer for Legion was exactly that, a trailer. It was first shown at the 2018 Game Awards and we were already well aware of what Legions power was since the PTB was already over.
I also cant recall Coté saying anything of the sorts, could be wrong tho. After all its quite difficult to recall everything he says in 8 years of playing this game lol

Ive wanted to see her being a trap/stalk killer, and make her stealth in the form of a crouch with a leap where if a Survivor is fully locked on they get instadowned from the leap

I dont as I had all the DLC's and they didnt show up in the bloodweb if you had it already

I want him to return back to the way he was, but with an "ultimate" ability with a similar function to the Void. Where he can send survivors to a boiler room once theyre tagged with sleepiness and stay in the Dream World for long enough.
A survivor in the boiler room would be standing still asleep to other survivors, some one on the outside can complete an action to wake them back up and pull them back from the Dream World.
Ive always wanted the boiler room to be included in some way since itd be real thematic, and theyve proven that its now possible.

It is a one time deal with 1M BP. No matter how many you hold in inventory. And apparently they'll be stuck in inventory. Like old Event Items
Cant forget the moonlight and old map offerings

Too useful?
Honestly, MedKits aren't giving me much trouble as killer. If they aren't going to be reverted, then I don't think another nerf is required.
Medkits arent something that is directly "in your face" in terms of strength. Its why youll have some people swear that flashlights are the strongest items, because you clearly see the impact that its caused.
Gonna use Sprint Burst and Dead Hard as a comparison. Dead Hard was complained about since it was able to extend chases for quite some time, wasting a lot of time for the killer. Sprint Burst on the other hand, has always been able to even start lasting chases that shouldnt of even happened to begin with, and because of this it wastes WAY more time than you realize.
-
Just gonna name a few things off the top of my head:
Trapper: Makeshift Wrap basekit
Wraith: Miniature Shadow Dance basekit. Adjust the add ons.
Doctor: Return unique POV music :3
Myers: Return unique POV music :3
Demo: Return unique POV music :3
Oni: Return unique POV music :3
Pyramid Head: Increase base range. Remove add ons with same effect
Blight: Increased movement after each consecutive rush added basekit, removed add ons with the same effect.
Twins: lil hat
Trickster: Bring back knives ramping up in speed
Sadako: Hitting a Survivor with a tape locks a level of condemned
Dredge: Can grab Survivors passing by lockers, not inside/going inside
Chucky: Can better turn shortly after performing a scamper
-
First flashbangs sending people into orbit, now Oni being so angry he crashes the game?
This just keeps getting better and better!

"Im not trying to gaslight you, you must have your own experience, but understand SWF are a minority, and you have really bad luck if you go against swf match after match, i highly doubt thats even possible stadistically."
I honestly want a true statistic to this. Considering there's also repeat lobbies of these same SWFs (albeit, rare occasions).
If the devs. Would finally implement what many have asked for, a simple Icon over head to show who is actually in a SWF (much like Crossplay shows who's on another platform than yourself) then maybe it would provide true evidence of majority vs. minority. Because it comes down to individual experiences, which is the basis of claims.
And yes, there's those out there who will claim, if so and so killer knows who's in a SWF, will most likely dodge that lobby. Yea, sure. (The whole Prestige conversation of lobby dodging). Dodging for any reason, still happens. Like Hook Suicides happen. To go next. It's the choice of that player to do so
Showing whos in a SWF should never be a thing unless its in the endgame screen. In fact I dont even think the killer should see the names of survivors in lobby. If survivors cant why should killers?

They aren't useless, of course. They can still be useful, but they could be more useful.
I don't think there was really a need to go as far as they did with the nerfs, especially after CoH was changed.
Im saying theyre still too useful
The nerfs were 100% warented, and I dont even think having access to 2 self heals with a medkit should be a thing unless you have perks

I think Med-Kits were overnerfed, they could use some changes.
No one had a problem with healing until it was allowed to reach extreme levels with the original iterations of Circle of Healing, which seems to have been a perk created with Hexes in mind: a powerful effect which can be removed from the trial. But Boons cannot be permanently destroyed, so that perk was unquestionably overpowered and I agree it had to be changed.
But the Med-Kit nerf? That I think was too much, it shouldn't have happened.
Medkits have and are still the best item a Survivor can bring by far. Being able to get several self heals is nothing to scoff at. Its why CoH was so strong, medkits were and still are basically just that but map wide.
Even nowadays some one can get 2 self heals with add ons. dressings and gauze arent even the best combo as you have the green needle and gauze which still allow you to get 2 heals (assuming you can hit greats) while also doing so faster.
Not to mention styptic and syringe which are two of the strongest add ons for Survivors, arguably the best.
The nerfs were very much waranted, one could even make an argument that it wasnt enough

This game has one of the least toxic communities out there

Meg has been my go to Survivor. First character Ive ever P3'd back in 2017, and first character I ever P100'd about a year ago.
I honestly could not tell you why. I would jump to other Survivors, those being David, Kate, Yui, Zarina, Jill, and Thalita. But in the end they were sort of just "phases". I never really stuck with them and always found myself going back to Meg. Been running the same fit as well for quite some time, and the fits Ive had in the past have always involved the Deathgarden mask since its introduction (moment of silence)

Killer can't tbag the same way as Survivor. But it's the same essence. But as Survivor say "take your humps and move on".
The amount of people thatd become past tense if they played any other multiplayer game to experience what its like outside DbD would be astronomical
-
Usually what I tend to do as him is trying to go to a higher point (main buildings usually) to try and stalk and 99 there. If you have some one hooked you can usually do so quite easily as you know some one is most likely gonna go for the save. If youre on normal ground, tiny gaps in walls is enough to stalk through (shack for example has holes on the opposite side of the window for example.
Outside of that if youre outside of chase and youre not sure if some one is nearby, go in power and its sort of a win win in your favor. Either you stay in stealth and have a better chance at stalking or you get revealed and you now know where somebody is.
As for the swarming part, you do as you would with any other killer. Split the pressure between all of them, get them all injured, and eventually some of them are either gonna back off or get too comfortable/close which will give you an opportunity. In most cases you can usually breathe enough at some point where you can at least 99 one person. If that's at the beginning of the game so be it, but the moment you recognize theyre just swarming, save em for last. Bait him out if they go for a save or body block and you have yourself a down.
Now I make this sound as if its easy and dont worry, its not that simple. Recognizing these opportunities is something that takes time but you gotta just step out of your comfort zone from time to time and experiment with what works and what doesnt. Then the rest will come naturally.

Laughs in BBQ and WGLF.
Even then on average you still get just as many points as you would with those perks back then with how many people bring BP offerings nowadays, not to mention you just get more points in general thanks to new score events that have been introduced.

Every time I read a post like this I cant help but think how much newer players would be tweaking at the old rate youd get BP, or how much more expensive Bloodwebs were.

As a long time fan of the books, I've always wanted to see Maze Runner in DBD. The Glade has so much potential for cool map design, Grievers would be terrifying to be chased by (and with more non-humanoid killers in the game could be a possibility now), and the MC Thomas has pretty great potential for perks with all the stuff he does throughout the story.
Ive never even thought of Maze Runner being added in this game but now I want Maze Runner added to this game.

Bruh you can say that to your solo q teammates nowadays and they'd still be surprised at the new discovery

P.S. My fellow PC players, get a blank icon perk pack if you wanna have a bit of a challenge! Tests your knowledge on perks, and also has clutch moments when a NoED, Haunted Grounds, Adrenaline or Finesse pop up that you didnt even know you had lol

>Were they Prestige 3 prior to the cut off point?
Yes, some characters who were prestige 3 before v6.0.0 are getting red portraits and some are not. Characters who have acquired the red portrait are assigned a prestige of 9, while those who have not are assigned a prestige of 6-8.
>As you cannot get the red portraits after that point if you then choose to prestige the characters?
I raised a character whose prestige was 8 to prestige 9, but the red portrait was not granted.Characters do not get the red portrait if you reach prestige 9, they only get it if they were P3 prior to the progression update.

There was no cover for the thing, no tires, no debris, no car, literally just a totem in the middle of the street

If you played before Stranger Things made a return, Demos perks were generic and available to everyone.

Not all PC players have this godlike build and can only play at 60 fps, just like console. Hell I played the first 1/3 of my hours on a PC that would run the game at 15-20 fps. (I currently have 6.7k)

actually...it does and it works both ways. any killer on console versus high mmr pc survivors is practically a guaranteed loss due exclusively to movement ability. i am guessing it is fps. console survivor against pc nursei the same thing. i suppose it is fun to pretend it is a skill issue and i am guessing you are on pc. i've played over 6000 hours since 2017.
Dont know why youre pipping up so much when I said it doesnt make much of a difference in this case since all that is mentioned is a 1v1 against a Nurse. Put me in a 1v1 on a controller on PC then on console against a Nurse on PC and the result is gonna be practically the same.
EDIT: To be clear Im not saying PC doesnt have an advantage, but its so minuscle in this scenario that it might as well not even matter.

Nothing can be worse than shattered hope. And 30% can be good when survivors hugging walls and fake to vault a window and unrelenting can help cath them before they go on second run in this structure. Also good against spin tag
Oh yeah, forgot Shattered Hope exists.
Still, its not worth a perk slot since you shouldnt be whiffing to begin with. The only killer I can think of that can make it somewhat useful is Wraith, which he whiff on purpose at a loop to make a Survivor greed another, but they cant thanks to Unrelenting. That is the only use I can think of at a high level and its so niche that you might as well forget about it

as somebody who recently got to Iri ranks I can tell you (I run discordance as I don’t have every perk yet) that every time I start chase discordance activates, without fail. It’s to the point where if I try to commit to a chase at least 2 gens pop by the time I’ve gotten a down, even with the survivor pre dropping at every loop.
Ranks have absolutely 0 impact on matchmaking, they are purely for the BP reward on the 13th of every month.

I mean Im not really opposed to it, but it would still be the worst perk in the game
