Did they reveal the time when the new update is revealed?
Judging but their usual schedule, a chapter usually comes out late November or early December.
That being said, I noticed that this rift is WAY longer than usual. While we usually only have about 3 months to complete it, this time around it was almost 4 months.
So either the chapter or mid chapter is gonna be pushed back a bit, or both.

They got pretty creative with things like this before with Chucky and Sadako. No reason to believe they cant do the same with a danger noodle

There's never going to be proof, but you can make an assumption based on the skill level of the players you're against - especially considering I played against a member from the best comp team right now (Eternal)
Doesnt mean youre high MMR. I myself have gone against several comp teams as well throughout my years of playing, but the very next game I can end up going up against a team with a combined total of 200 hours.
You cant cherry pick your games and think youre high MMR. Everyone wants to think theyre high MMR but its probably not the case for 99% of people

I mean I aint pretendin, but I also have bad news for you
-
I used to get fairly angry myself when I was younger, and the way I learned to manage is to not blame the game or just something else, rather think what I could of done/be done better.
Your mind begins to create possible solutions to the problem your currently dealing with. Even if you end up losing, still think of things you could of done better and go into the next game. Not only will you go into a game with a fresher mind but youll also keep in mind the mistakes you made from last game and focus on avoiding them in the next games to come.
Now if you realize that even this isnt working, just log off and give yourself time to cool down. There is absolutely 0 reason to spend that kind of energy on something so little, and keep that in mind also when playing.

Avoiding flashlight saves is a skill in of it self. While chasing you may be able to hear footsteps, breathing, moaning, or see scratchmarks that clearly arent from the person youre chasing. Picking up at odd angles as well is probably your best bet, such as looking towards a likely less populated area. if you see a spot thats relatively empty of obstacles, and basically no cover for survivors (basically theres no way they had time to hide in that area as you were chasing) then immediately picking up while facing that direction may be the best option.
Just keep it brother, trust me it gets much easier to deal with.

Omg I need this. Dammit… was this like WAY long time ago? Cn we have this as an event, BHVR?
Patch 1.3.1, December of 16.
It didnt stop at powers either, you could also change perks from either side, as well as cosmetics.
The best part? This was the last patch they did before the holidays, so the game was like this for I believe 3 weeks before everything was sorted.

It is alright, friends.
Perhaps it was truly naive of me to think I could convince the devs to bring him back.
Well maybe not all hope is lost...
They did label this as a "killer update" and not tweaks, maybe they do have something thats still on a pretty large scale planned, but its just not what we had in the past.
One of the main issues with Freddy atm is the lack of identity. theyre not gonna bring what we had before.. but maybe theyll come up with something just as unique. BHVR knows Freddy players have been longing for some changes, and Im gonna hope theyve learned from their past mistakes (Sadako, Trickster, Merchant, Twins) and hopefully do this one right.

I believe I joined DBD after Curtain Call came out and I played super casually so I didnt pay attention to changes. It was when DBD was free through PS+ and the Scorching Summer BBQ event started.
I still remember my first ever match, I played Trapper on Haddonfield, I was told by a friend that hitting Survivors on hook made the progression bar deplete faster so I just sat in front of the hook and spam swung, I got a lot of hateful messages even after explaining that I was a new player and didnt pick the game back up until after the 5th Year Anniversary had just ended.
Ive heard great things about when Curtain Call came out, I honestly wish I kept playing the game around that time, I missed a lot.
2018 was probably the best year for dbd, it had some of the most memorable events, lots of great content, and tones of improvements.
And hey, at least you were able to experience part of it :)
-
Id personally use Sprint Burst, but if youre adament on keeping Resilience then Id say Dead Hard. Would make it safer to stay injured to take benefit from it
-
I know when you say content you mean like the characters themselves, al though when I think of "best chapter" this is always the first one that comes to mind due to how impactful this update was.
Curtain Call
The Clown himself set a new standard for killers as his animations and design were a lot more polished compared to other killers, and (he was the first killer to have facial expressions!) he had a whole new lobby music that came along side him. Kate herself was received very positively and was one of the most played Survivors back in the day. And al though she isn't as popular today, she's definitely no Haddie.
Then theres the 2.0.0 patch… it marked a new era for DbD. The store was added, pallet vacuums were removed, Dead Hard finally got an animation (as well as a bunch of killers getting new lobby animations!), hit speed boost bug was fixed, emblems had a face lift, characters started with their teachables at level 1, tutorials were added, blood web improvements, characters being able to be purchased with iri shards, and there's probably more that I missed.
It was the biggest update this game's ever had, and Ill never forget the hype surrounding it. -

That's not a good comparison. Being a disturbance in a movie theater is probably against their rules, and they can rightly kick you out for it. DbD also has rules that if you break you can get banned. People should be allowed to do as they please within the rules whether it's an online game, a movie theater, or anywhere else.
Its not really a comparison, just a way of saying that using the excuse "I bought it, I can do whatever I want with it" is an absolutely terrible mindset.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid this is a topic you really don't understand. It's nice to write a few things about cheat protection here(wall and ladder), but none useful simply exists in the game. But it's not that bad, there are a lot of people like you here who don't have that much idea.
There is no server validation in Dead by daylight yet. This means that the client has all possible options for various value inputs. The server accepts this without validation and says fine (go for 300% movement for the next 16 seconds).
This also means that there is still no automatic cheat protection, which means that a support ticket has to be opened manually and a ban can be obtained with the help of clear evidence (video or screenshot). This process takes on average 20 minutes. Also a few little facts and also good learning.
I may not be the most knowledgeable when it comes to coding and stuff but its ridiculous to assume any dev team of any game encourages their players to cheat. They have absolutely nothing to gain as cheaters can literally give themselves any cosmetic and any DLC. Idk what you're smokin' to even think they benefit from this.
@Senaxu said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3823826#Comment_3823826
Id also argue the cheater situation in this game is VERY tame compared to other games nowadays. (I wouldnt of said the same thing during the cheater epidemic tho)
Go to youtube and search for dead by daylight cheat / hacker and filter within the last 24h.
I think it's also a question of game knowledge. If you're not an experienced or attentive player, you won't notice if there's a cheater in the lobby. As I said, you need obvious proof to be able to ban a player. If this doesn't exist, then there is nothing to fear. There are some Twitch streamers who stream how easy it is to cheat in DBD and earn money with it (for years).
Sorry, but I always find it cute when there are people who say, oh, the situation is "VERY tame" xD"Go to youtube and search for dead by daylight cheat / hacker and filter within the last 24h."
At the time of writing this there were 17 videos that showed up when typing in "dead by daylight hacker". 8 of them had something to do with cheats/a cheater, the others had absolutely nothing to do with them. Sorry that the number wasn't any higher.
Im also well aware you need to be very attentive to catch some people trying to be subtle with it and I can assure you, I have more than enough. Also if you actually knew anything about the situation (which I'm starting to doubt) you'd know that its only a handful of youtube streamers that stream themselves cheating and have a small cult following, so they probably get 5 bucks at most on a good week.
Also call me cute all you want, I already know that. -
@Senaxu said:

Exactly, people do it anyway. And yes, I'm sure that people who cheat or humiliate or treat other people in order to feel better about themselves, on a regular basis of course, have some serious problems in RL.
This kind of thing shouldn't normally be encouraged in any game but should be punished more severely. DBD, on the other hand, is very tolerant here and doesn't want to lose such people, as many of them also spend good money.
They have proven to fight against cheaters, its just that its an endless battle. The devs build a higher wall, cheaters get a taller ladder. Its an endless battle, and this goes for literally any game out there. Id also argue the cheater situation in this game is VERY tame compared to other games nowadays. (I wouldnt of said the same thing during the cheater epidemic tho)

I'm not a Trickster player, so my opinion doesn't matter as much here....
But why is Main Event not a thing you can start willingly once you get it? Why are you on a time limit with it?
Trickster with Main Event is without a doubt in 2nd place for being able to secure and defend hooks, especially basement (one can make an argument he might be even better than Bubba).
He absolutely SHREDS through people and I have several clips of me turning games around with just 1 activation of Main Event. To be able to hold that and not give any wiggle room to Survivors would be insane.

Well, almost anything virtually possible is allowed in dead by daylight. Even cheating/hacking as long as you don't make it too obvious or are lucky that no one is making a video recording or investing 20 minutes for a cheat report.
I don't know this from any other PVP game and I've played many. It's a refuge for people who have a hard RL conditions, I think that's intentionally made like that to speak to that type of persona (revenue wise ofc)

Just because thats the case doesnt mean its right. Youre in a bad spot in life? Sorry to hear that, but dont try to drag everyone down with you.

trying to tell someone else how to play their game is the equivalent of going to the movies and talking loudly and disturbing everyone else. You just don’t like it when the other people in the movie theater (killers) tell you to be quiet.
