If a killer round is going poorly it is much easier to just sit in a corner and go get something to eat or stretch or whatever, the gens will be done in minutes and the survivors will always have someone that opens the door so they cant sit there behind you for an hour. If survivors dc they get replaced by bots, if a killer disconnects everyone gets kickd out, all offerings wasted, barely any points gained for anybody and to have the entire round just instantly end because someone hit the killer with a pallet for the third time and he wasnt happy seems rediculous as every round would never involve the exit gates. Part of playing killer is staying away from the ones that annoy you most and once the rest are gone that person is helpless, especially if u find the hatch first and them, all they can do is try to loop you till they die

Like, literally, just do a match, and then… spend BP on the "Play" queue screen?
Sometimes you save up for a new character and then have to spend like 2-4 million based on if the reset happened after u got 2 million. And that is a verrrrrrrry long time sitting there making sure the right addons dont get wasted. Other times like these events hes talking about you sometimes get even 400000 or more and have to spend that every round sitting there for a while. Mainly its just that the tediousness of the bloodweb could be lessened by making its animations quicker and making it so you dont have to make sure the entity doesnt eat ur favorite or strongest addons/offerings because the auto web just does what it wants lol
-
People who are confident with chases often leave distortion out of their kit. But the people who know they go down in seconds and kinda just suck at reading the killers movements in general- tend to rely on it to even last in a round. Now that nurse with 4 aura reading perks can tunnel the out of the match in a couple minutes and theres absolutely no way to hide unless they switch to the new lucky star and learn to evade chases with lockers. Nerfing it isnt going to help the game in any way lol just make some maps more miserable and some killers happier that its easier to find their "target"

yeah this is so stupid why did they do that ? who in bhvr thought this could be a good idea
To be honest behaviour has been on a who thought this was a good idea" streak for a while now lol even castlevania they thought wed want all the survivors as cheap cosplays. They thought we'd like the girliest version of trevor in the entire series. They thought we would enjoy watching 6 hours of streamers to get the clocktower banner. They also thought the fnaf fans would stop complaining once they revealed their collab with fnaf a year in advance(for the first time). They still think not enough people like rebecca to give her cosmetics of any kind. They thought making the casting of frank stone would be a great way to implement him into dbd but probably not for 2 years lol, they even got rid of the person responsible for marketing their highest selling original chapter. They thought for an elf from DnD we would want one buffed out like a man, but gave her noodle arms in her next cosmetic which shows she just has a huge torso for no reason lol (she still looks like they just didnt have time to make a female body and just kept her like that) the list could go on they are full of bad ideas
-
They might even nerf her more lol if all the people do in the ptb is lie and say shes still terrible to go against they could nerf her even further. But yea its a shame, bought all her cosmetics on launch and since, then she gets hated so much that instead of changing what she does they just adjust things to be slightly different and nerf gen camping. Not sure why they thought that was going to stop the hate but shes go another rework set for 2025. But ill be honest, has there ever been a rework that people were happy with? That made the killer better and more enjoyable for all? Besides maybe billy
-
One thing that didnt help skull merchant's reputation was the playerbase using her were usualy the ones who couldnt care less about the survivors opinions about them playing skull merchant and theirfore also didnt care about their reactions to hard tunneling / camping with drones / slugging the whole team every round they ever played. To a point where people didnt just hate skull merchant for her power but for the people playing her as well. So now u got 85% of the community yelling "burn the witch! Delete skull merchant!" And the rest that actualy enjoy her and try to play fairly are just a tiny voice in the crowd. So im expecting they will keep her gutted till the rework which who knows might gut her even further with everyones attitude to her lasting over a year and a half so far

The same could be said if I'm Myers not playing a mirror build and the Survivor SWF decides they absolutely NEED to loop me all round on Ormond with their chase builds, all so they can teabag in the exit gate. Map offerings are bad for everyone.
Yep map offerings are never possitive on either end. Only thing they are good for is getting a new map to try if one comes out with a new chapter
-
Oddly when people play survivor they expect to die, when they play killer they expect to win lol it wouldnt be balanced if you couldnt lose just as much as u win on either side. Some survivor rounds u just start and alredy know you arent getting out unless its through hatch, some killer rounds you alredy know you arent going to kill more than 1 person if at all because its clear they are coordinated and broadcasting it as a video to impress people. Ive had a round as demo where all i cared about was trying to get my shred hits daily and the ttv squad i was playing against was like a literal voice com swat team tacticly telling eachother my every fart and calling me stupid for using shred at times where i couldve knocked someone else down etc lol. Every round can be a win or a lose doesnt really matter. Back in earlier days survivors died so fast and noone minded theybjust went to the next round no problem no dcs or suicides or nothin. Now survivors get so many chances to keep going that someone going after you only is like a personal attack lol. The main complaint i hear is "i cant catch this person!" Then go for everyone else lol that person is much easier to catch with noone to do gens, hatch closed and no way to open doors with you on their tail.
-
Well one example nowadays is either they are abusing the franklin weave bug where survivors dont know if they are being revealed for the rest of the round as the debuff never turns off, u got the new spamming skillchecm doctor that prevents anyone from unhooking, theres still the typical tunneling skullmerchant or wesker, theres people still tunneling for moris which to be honest most people would rather die on hook than give them satisfaction, and many other things like mirror myers making a round take 50 minutes in the saw map or the new nemisis tunneling machine. Everyone has their reasons to give up and go to the next round and the reasons just keep piling up. If they removed the 2nd n 3rd attempt to pull yourself off (since it mostly only works on first try) then people would have to wait the hook state, and then skillchecks for 2nd stage only slow down the timer by about a full 5 seconds, missing them keeps the regular timer. Then people would be forced to tough it out, sit there and distract the killer, or disconnect to atleast have a bot possibly so something
-
Yea im not really into going against a mirror myers in their prefered indoor map either just nipping everybody till someone goes down.
-
I found cybils voice before the change felt like it fit more too. All the silent hill characters could use a visual update

People use knockout to combat the gen rush. You just refuse to look at the entire picture.
People use knockout to 1 shot the other side for 1 hook. Unless theres someone with empathy and ensures they are never seen going to each slugged person, its prettymuch hopeless, extremely annoying, and does nothing but piss everyone off for a cheap easy win where most people just end up bleeding out on a corner. Its in no way possitive for the game. And the idea that you should be able to win every time completely avoids the concept of balance. You are not supposed to win everytime and saying the survivors do their objective too fast isnt an excuse to avoid the gameplay loop entirely. Even tunnelling is less frouned upon.
-
Im surprised by the amount of fake streamers in thr game lol ( like they put ttv in their name and either dont have a twitch account or have 0 videos/streams)
-
The worst is when the killer sides with the one that crouched around the whole match and tunnels you off with their help even though you were just doing gens. Then when they get hatch and you try to ask why, they both go off on you in the chat saying i shouldve been hiding too lol
-
Cant say ive had any troubles with nightfall as the killer sticks out just as much as the survivor. I may be wrong but its almost like most of the maps have increased in visibility as its like distance fog graphics has been removed (can see across the whole map now.) I also never found the game dark except back in the day when claudette could sit in a dark corner and be 95% invisible lol maybe increasing brightness on the screen or game can help if its too dark to see. As for nightfall's effect on solo que, its about slightly less effective as oni's rage enraged mode as nobody knows where hes coming from orif he knows where they are, so i wouldnt say its problematic. If anything what he needed were buffs to chasing people which he kinda got from all the cooldown buffs
-
My xeno has over 900 red moris lol its going to be a shame to just have them as extra cakes. Theyd have to be better than the yellow survivor puddings i guess
-
I think to combat tunneling theyd have to give something on both ends like penalties for the tunneling, but the killers get stronger in some way so that tunneling becomes much less incentivised. There are people however that arent just tunneling to win faster, they even sit there in your face griefing while they do it, sadly nothing can be done about changing that mindset. And currently a swf is stronger than an average killer, and an killer who tunnels is always stronger than a random group. So more than one thing has to be adjusted somewhere to find the real 60%kill rate balance they are after without killers resorting to tunneling.
-
Most of the strategies above work in an optimal round where all 4 survivors share the same mindset. But lets be honest in a random group most of the time someones trying to unhook you regardless of the killer camping out of range or all grouping up to get you off the hook instead of doing the gens which is why we end up dieing to tunneling so often. I am also one of the killers that will throw a round trying not to tunnel or camp cuz if i need that to win theres no point in playing for fun. Ill admit most of the tunnel weskers do tend to jump on the latest killer for a time until they all settle back to weskers(since hes built for tunneling). They can make a million changes to hooks to slow down tunneling but theres a large playerbase that just does it because they ike to and hate survivors. They could make hooks teleport away with no notification to the killer when they get unhooked and they will still spend time looking for that 1 survivor with aura reading. They could remove points and emblem ticks for hooking the same survivor and they would still do it just to say theyve won. Its pretty hard to remove from the game
-
The thing i miss about first version of sadako was that people werent 100% focused on spreading condemnes for instakill turning almost all sadako players into spammers that dont even try to hook anyone. I liked using her semi stealth and mobility as a challenging way to mind game and catch people regardless of how strong or weak she was, she was still capable of killing people. She was even fun to play against back then because it wasnt all about the tvs getting spammed and constantly running to go get ur condemned stacks down. So yea id love to see her revert to before and a slight buff wouldnt hurt so long as it doesnt incentivise spamming

Damn, don't kill my vibe hahahah
What other characters do you see being introduced as a Legendary Skin for Dracula? I think any other character other than Carmilla would be insane. Although I did play only a little LoS, and most of my love for Carmilla comes from the Netflix series tbh
It just sucks that Dracula is so much fun to play imo, and I know it would be sooooo much cooler for me if he had any female vampire as a legendary skin, then my dream of being a vampire lady would come true 😥
Well theres always skull merchant, she sucks the fun out of everything ;D
-
Biography might be a bit much, but in their previous ask us anything someone asked about customizing backpacks/accessories/legendary characters and their response was that they may be interested in implementing that in the future
-
I figured bat form could change to something similar to dredges darkness where you only see people and object nearby and generators at a distance, itd be a bit more realistic with the echolocation and stuff and would help him use it to just find people instead of them just standing still while u fly past them not even knowing they were there. And in turn they could keep the bat sound effects as is for survivor perspective as an early warninv, but keep the killers perspectives of the sounds low so you can hear stuff better
-
Point i was trying to make is that he didnt always have instadown, and now everyone focuses on it so much they forget they left 3 people in one corner with no pallets to use all injured just to go look for the last guy thats had all the time in the world to run across the map when u couldve downed 1 or 2 of those people alredy. You could even use the add on that makes them oblivious when hit, and the addon that shows their aura when mending, hit them, fake leaving and come back sneaking up on them. Hes definitely not about instadown its more of a bonus event if you happen to have all 4 people in a bad position. Otherwise he is for keeping most of the group injured and picking people off when they are in unsafe positions
-
Every killer on the list starts out against survivors that are easy. The more you play a specific killer, the matchmaking will look for survivors that get out very often or atleast perform well. For example my xeno is now p100, and everytime i play him regardless of how strong he is i have to put everything into the round or they get out easily. Meanhile i jump to someone i havent played much like hag, and suddenly im slaughtering them without trying again. Legion isnt very easy to win with against a stronger team. His weakness is that you have no chase power after someone is injured and you are required to knock people down with the bare minimum, even trapper has more of a chase power. And a lot of legions always try to go for a 5 hit instadown when its actually something situational and not something you should be avle to pull off any time every round. The amount of times a legion nips 2 people runs across the map and gets kicked out of their power chasing someone for 2 healthstates losing a gen or 2 happens nearly every round. What his strengths are is : 1: hes good at ensuring whoever he is chasing has only 1 healthstate, 2: he great at finding people as his perk keeps people away from lockers and if anyone gets nipped there is no hiding. 3: hes good at wasting the survivors time with healing. 4: hehas the unique ability to judge the entire teams skill levels within the first couple minutes and can pickout who is the easiest to chase and who is going to waste most of his time and should be saved for later. 5: he prevents people from helping eachother in chase. 6: all 3 of his perks were designed to benefit his playstyle like knowing when people are grouped up on generators, keeping people out in the open from lockers, and ensuring people cant body block his hard earned hooks since he has to chase them with no power. Keeping all that in mind might allow you to get atleast 1-2 kills in a tough round
-
To be honest my main is xeno and i feel overpowered playing xeno, most people just dont stand a chance. When playing dracula however he is much harder to catch people with. Not unable to do anything but it certainly takes very good aim / timing and even experimentation to see if you can even hit people with the hellfire like sometimes i can get it to go through the edge of a wall etc. And the wolf form is like chucky but harder so you cant rely on it whenever theres a strong loop or pallet nearby. His bat form is fast but i dont feel like im flying across the map like wraith or anything and its more to reach higher/lower floors faster or find generators being worked on because people could just stand still you wouldnt even know and fly past them. Hes not the killer id pick if i needed win. Hes more like trapper level of strength as he either gets people that can loop both forms all day, or people that dont know the counters. (Which is probly why every dracula ive seen tripple tunnels and camps hooks to hit 2 people with hellfire all the time)
-
I agree with everything but the last part of survivors getting an instadeath button so someone can get a chance to instantly escape by hatch. Hooking the 2nd last player and looking for the other will give the killer enough time to try to find someone thats just hiding, so that they can get their last kill without having to slug for it. (Slugging should also be basekit unbreakabke only once all survivors are down the first person to get back up deactivates it and can pick everyone else up etc).
-
Im surprised batform isnt like how dredges darkness mechanic works where you can only see people close by and gens at a distance
-
Laurie strode will require a brand new replacement licence with the actress herself showing up and getting paid for likeness and voicelines (for 0 profit unless the resell the chapter which people might be into but there will also be complainers saying their paid for content was stolen from them etc) and tapp i havent the slightest idea how their relationship with the saw franchise is these days, they just recently got stuff for the anniversary but i dont know if they will keep adding more to it as even the new saw movie came out and they just put the chapter on sale
-
I prefer the castlevania judgement skin as well. But sadly with the way this chapter has gone youd be lucky to get dracula simply wearing a cosplay of carmilla
-
I think basekit unbreakable should only kick in, if ALL survivors are down at the same time. This wouldnt make 1 slug get back up, and itd stop all those killers abusing knockout for 1 hook each etc, itd also incentivise just hooking the 2nd last survivor and searching for the other. Whoever gets up first out of the 4 stops the others unbreakable and can start picking everyone up. If they go down another gets up. Itl only kick in if the killer is just abusing slugging as a tactic to completely win rather than pressure
-
My fingers are crossed hoping shanoa comes in the game as a legendary someday instead of yuis clothes lol but i have little hope. Which game is juste from again? Ive been playing them all in order up to caatlevania 64 so far havent gotten to that one. (Almost mistook him for alucard)
-
So far so good. Hopefully it gets snuffed out within the next year or so then we can all go back to enjoying games because they are fun and not because a 36 year old licence didnt change their characters around to please someone that doesnt like their licence to begin with
-
Perhaps basekit unbreakable only kicks in if noone else is left standing like how adas perk kicks in
-
So long as nurse and blight exist no new killer will top them. Dracula does have lengthy cooldowns to switching forms. He cannot just switch to bat go over a window and switch to another form you are stuck in bat for a cooldown. His hellfire is 10x easier to dodge than aliens tail even though it comes out the same speed you can just watch his hand holding a fireball and know he intends to use it as soon as he has a line of fire or vaulting, so just fake the vault and fake running into line of fire, he misses every time or has to put the hellfire away with a long wait to scratch you. The wolf forms weakness are big loops and pallets he can only get you with it out in the open. Day 1 some players can loop him for 5 gens he is not impossible to beat or uncounterable, he is a clunkier version of several killers mixed into one that requires skill/aim/timing to hit anything. He is not the next nurse/blight please dont just get frustrated at learning how to play against him and immediately call for the nerf hammer
-
Ive always wanted dino crisis to continue, and ive always put it in the serveys. To be honest i think its capcom themselves that dont want anything to do with the licence anymore as they know the demand is there with their recent dinosaur shooting game. People were mad during the reveal trailer because one of the girls in the trailer looked similar to regina and they thought maybe it was her. But yea id love to see dino crisis return even if its as a dlc in dbd. That and parasite eve
-
Took me 3 tries to get adept, 2nd failed because of hatch. His abilities may be slow and clunky but they do still kill people. Now im not saying hes great as ive met a few who can loop him all day which required saving them for last. It does take some getting used to. His bat is useful in double floor maps or just getting from point a to b. His wolf excels out in the open like trickster. And his hellfire requires good aim/timing/knowledge of what it can shoot through. Hes decent against average randoms but can be easily looped to infinity on high mmr (like any other killer). Thats just my experience with him so far. I plan to main him afterall
-
This was only for the upcoming lights out modifier. Last time instead of looking for survivors in the dark, allot of killers would simply sit out of range with no terror radius and or way to see them and jump on whoever goes for a save
-
There was a questionaire where they answered saying they are looking into customizations of backpacks and legendaries later
-
I cant count the amount of times i was left on the hook only for someone to come at the last second and go into 2nd stage, or the amount of times ive been camped. A survivor on the hook is one not doing generators so i have no idea what the actual problem is? Unless you camp people to death very often
-
Ill admit when he was announced everyone had a million ideas as to how he would play. I was hoping for a new stealth killer, others were hoping for facehuggers being like a pig trap mechanic, some were thinking of acid spitting etc. Nobody was expecting "crawler mode with tail poke and tunnels" so i suppose thats why it didnt sell as well as they hoped along with not getting sigourney weaver into the licence AND the price hike for adding cosmetics to the bundle that started to make some people mad. I wouldnt mind a rework if they could . If myers and freddy and sadako and chucky can all get reworks i dont see why they wouldnt fix him up as his pick rate is surprisingly low for such a wanted licence. As for sigourney i cant see that ever happening as once the licence is in they never put the effort to "upgrade" the licence to something more complete and it depends on sigourney herself.
-
Imagine the lobby dodging that would happen if killers could "flex" their prestige before the round starts. As proud as i am of my 100 rebecca, im terrified of playing her because of how eberyone judges high prestige negatively 90% of the time. Being able to toggle my pretige off will simply make me even more of a target as im not only guaranteed to be 100 ill also be hiding something from the other players so they will be just as judgemental as if my prestige werent hidden. I also have a 100 killer and can confirm it feels just as much of a flex to show it off in the end game screen.

So I did a little digging on other forums. Apparently it won't happen because BHVR basically now wants to make money off content and Valve doesnt. So not gonna happen sadly.
So far from what ive seen anything is possible if we beg enough lol

With all honesty theres something about her where if you arent tunneling shes about as good at keeping people off gens as clown. 80% of the time i play her the gens get done even if my chases are all lasting under 1 minute. she really doesnt need a nerf. Amd im not terrible at killer pr anything ive 100%ed the game, shes definitely difficult to get a 4k with if ur playing "fair" like i always do
-
In the anniversary livestream they did mention they are eventualy going to change things around by adding daily weekly monthly challenges on top of tome challenges so that there is always something to play for. I know what u mean as i 100%ed all the challenges and achievments and got a killer and survivor to p100 so it often feels like i run out of stuff to do within the day a new challenge page opens.
-
I think the sound suppression should be indefinite as the birds alredy exist to keep people out of being in a locker too long. Since ripley came out i still use her perks on her but ill admit 99 times out of 100 your sound suppression never lasts long enough and the killer either sees your blood, sees your scratchmarks, or hears you after you run out of time making the perk slot feel like its only usefull to occasionally see where people are which bond or empathy alredy does better
-
Im quite certain alucard is a skin for trevor as hes one of the "good guys" and not as large as draculas size. (And he is on the roadmap for the outfit collection on release day of the chapter)
-
I was also hoping for simon, really liked how they made him look in smash bros and the mobile game that closed down. Also would love to see shanoa as she would sell like sable lol. Castlevania has so many characters im surprised they didnt get 2 survivors. Maybe they will add several characters as skins over time as konami allowed them to do with silent hill. After seeing draculas powers in action i kinda doubt they could fit a carmilla skin or any others but maybe death for dredge and the frankenstein with the chainsaw from castlevania 64 for hillbilly lol. Tons of potential for future skins
-
They dont even have a ripley or xeno badge yet.

theres a whole aboveground section with plenty of gens, just dont go downstairs :/
Did all the ones upstairs you NEED one from downstairs to escape
-
Everyone says "jus bring ur items to the corner" but i had a round where a skull merchant, on vecnas map, brought weave and franklins. Used it + her drones to make a damn gauntlet on the lower floor so that absolutely noone can go save someone from the downstairs hook or do a generator on the bottom floor without her seeing them through the walls from the steps all the way to the hook. I brought the 2 items i could find to a corner. It did not help one bit. Nothing we could do.
