Found the Huntress that needs Iri to 4k

I've been pairing Stake Out with the new Fast Track perk. You get a lot of extra bonus progression during the game; it's pretty cool.

Not necessarily make her 115%, but give her tools to combat some of the more annoying loops. Like the idea Scott suggested a while back: Make it so that every hatchet reduces your movement speed by 1%, so at the start of the match you move at 110%, and the more you use your hatchets, the more your looping capabilities increase.
The issue I have with that is that it means she has no downside to her power. Which, as a 110% Killer, needs to have: Huntress has reduced chasing outside of her hatchets, Spirit can't see survivors directly, Deathslinger also has reduced chasing outside of his gun, etc.

Everyone who says that Freddy is unfair to go against does not understand Freddy at all. He definitely does not need another rework or more changes. Unless they want to give him his old power back, that is change I would support.
Now, back to the actual topic. I think Myers could see a change. Maybe getting his multi-stalk back.
What's hard to understand? Chase a sleepy survivor around a loop dropping snares at no speed reduction, then when you catch them you hook them, teleport to the generator with people on it, pop, chase another survivor.

Freddy or Huntress.
Freddy's kit is bloated with strong stuff that's way too easy to use. I would suggest a change that makes him stronger but way harder to play, but I think the devs are simply not doing that so I think he should get nerfed.
Huntress could use a small buff to her base kit, she feels kind of outdated. Don't get me wrong, she is strong and all, but she has gotten stale with time. Her add-ons are either boring and weak or boring and extremely strong. Her 110% movement speed is also a pain in the ass and makes her way too map dependant.
You want to make a Killer that can damage you at range also be full speed?
The 110% is not making her lose a large fraction of gens that you wouldn't have lost with a 115% Killer. The 5% difference is 0.99 seconds of difference for every 100m walking.

Consoles? Do people still use controllers to play games?
PC is far superior in every aspect both reaction-wise and graphics wise.
Also, PC is way more accessible than a console unit, so why on earth would the devs cater towards a niche group of people?
I thought the devs had numbers that showed consoles outnumbered PC players.
But also, GTFO with your elitist "hurr durr pc masterrace" crap

Either let no one see names, or everyone.

Usually it's either A) the survivor was toxic and the Killer is trying to shut them down or B) they're frustrated it took so long to get you.
If you aren't toxic, take it as a sign of accomplishment.
The 3rd option is that it's the Killer version of tbagging.

EGC should be scary the killer should automatically be buffed without NOED.
It should be intense.
and yet EGC is a joke with survivors twerking at the exit gates with their flashlight strobe party
Why should the Killer be buffed when they failed to prevent the generators from being done?
-
Wait, so getting hit with a couple of knives would give a survivor a permanent debuff until they are downed? Wat?

I and most Xbox1x users had the same problem when Blight came out. Started game, console crashed and shut down, restarted and got the overheat message. Following patch fixed it but couldn't play for a week.
You prolly should put this in the bugs/technical parts of the forum I think.
Just did, good call.
-
- 360 and Doging attacks in general! there are some friends of mine out there dealing with this mechanics having a problem to catch survivors cause of their Bad computers or even their disadvantages like autism. For that survivors should get an animation to turn around or changing running direction which should take some time that the Dodging gets harder and even People with disabillities have a fair chance.
- There should be no more room than for 2 survivors on a generator!
- Survivors who are the last one alive should get an extra chance escaping the hook and should be able to do escape attempts.
Crouching and Clicking for the flashlight should have a cooldown of 2 Sec.
No.
If a survivor disconnects the Killer should get his Perk Tokens out of that person with full sacrifice Points (2100). If a survivor disconnects the killer should get his Barbecue and No way out tokens and if Devour Hope is used 2 Tokens for it. 1 Generator should be done automatically (unless 2 are already repaired) and the killer should see the Survivors auras for 3 seconds each no matter what even in lockers or with perk cuz it would weaken both just for an Egoistic Player.
No. This game already becomes super difficult for survivors if it's a disconnect at the start, and you want to give the Killer two stacks of Devour? Yeah, I'm going to disconnect too, if that happens. And you want the Killer to see auras after a disconnect?
SWF are a serious problem for some killers on higher ranks. For each SWF member every generator should take 15% more time to repair so that the killer jas a better chance if he does a daily or challenge for example with a killer he doesnt want to play.
This serves to only punish soloQ players that get matched with a SWF. Absolutely not. If Survivors are supposed to take their loss against a Stridor Spirit, then Killers have to take a loss against a SWF.

These suggestions are something else.

Yes, it's a problem.
Make it so you can't stack infantry belt with it and then it might not be so bad.
-
Luckily, BHVR doesn't listen to armchair devs.
-
That said, all I said he needed as a buff was making it easier to aim and taking longer to charge his power, but let him store it.
As long as they don't make him a 115%, it's fine.

I can't help but feel like people are a little ungrateful. We didn't get every change we wanted, so what?
We getting it in a bug fix and not ptb with it also being actually decent changes that aren't 6 months delayed.
We got something good but most people are complaining about what they wanted and didn't get
If people can't 4k every game with no effort, then clearly the game isn't balanced.
-
I don't have frame drops or anything, my issue is that sometimes it seems like DBD forces my Series X to hard shutdown. I reboot it and it says it shut down to prevent overheating, which is super confusing...
It doesn't blow hotter than normal, fan doesn't speed up, it's vertical, unenclosed, and elevated slightly to open up the vents on the bottom. Not to mention that I'll play other games for longer (Destiny 2, Overwatch, etc) and it happily chugs along.

I agree that people in this community spend too much time trying to punish other people, or list the offenses that "justify" being punished. But, if the specific players you match with are being really aggressive, I think it's totally fine to use a proportional amount of aggression in return.
That's not what is being pointed out.
This is about the killers/survivors who say "I got tbagged/camped" and then say "I'm going to make the next survivors/killer feel like crap because I'm pissy."

The fact that no one would want to play against a Swf team just proves my point.
Of course the Killers wouldn't want to play against SWFs. How are they supposed to get their ez 4ks they're entitled to?

To me that's a bit different. Killers should dc or go afk for any reason at all (but I can understand going afk against particularly toxic survivors or if they refuse to play the game actually) but I can definetly understand certain lobby dodging like a team of all keys, all flashlights, or if its clear they are all swfs (like have the same name essentially or reference one another).
Personally I'll still play no matter what unless a team is being toxic or I get shut down hard early on ill just mess around. It also a little bit depends on if I played a couple games in a row of all keys, flashlights or swfs which happens often. It gets old 3 games back to back of it
Pretty hypocritical, if you ask me.
It's okay if you lobby dodge because you think the game won't be fun, but it's not okay for survivor to kill themselves on hook because they think the game won't be fun.
-
Yeah, no.
You got outplayed if you shoot them and they can run to a spot and break the chain.

This community is mostly garbage.
Survivors being pricks to killers, killers being pricks to survivors. Both in game and in the forum/reddit. It happens.

As long as Victor doesn't get to benefit from Killer perks, I see no reason why Survivors would get to benefit from Spine Chill.
Am survivor main who frequently runs Spine Chill.

I played this game for about 2 hours straight earlier and never in my life came across so many freddy's.
Not one, two, three, or even four but five! Five different freddy's with different playstyles, perks and skill.
But why?
Why has the freddy population gone up?
It's a mystery to be solved :0
My guess is that people are trying to rush to red ranks with him because rank reset is in a few days. Also, I haven't looked at them but maybe some of the new tome killer challenges are a reason too?

They are. Freddy in my opinion is what every killer should be. He has many tricks and also has many counters. If I was in charge of changing him I would make the clock sleep cool down longer. If you wake up through a clock 30 seconds of cool down till sleep timer starts. If you wake up blowing a gen up it should be 45 seconds because not only a actual explosion happen next to the survivors face but they probably got hurt because of this. This also will alert freddy where you are and undo some work on the gen so there are disadvantages and advantages of doing this. Knowing the devs he is going to nerfed to the ground and or end up like Hillybilly and only have like 4 good add ons. Its going to be a sad day indeed.
So every killer should be braindead easy to play?

Speak for yourself. I love survivors who meme or just overall don't take the game seriously. It's a REALLY nice change of pace.
If I notice Ghostface tbagging while chasing me I'll start doing the same back at him.
It usually ends up with my escaping while we just keep tbagging.
Personal experience, I've found Ghostface players to be the most extreme in personality differences: They either meme or go hardcore tryhard. No in between.

The reason is, people lost all trust in the Devs. Especially Killer mains got suckerpunched way to many times now, so they cant assume the Devs will work to fix the issues they have with the game.
No, all they rightfully see is the Devs once again taking the survivors side and dumping another tool to punish Survivors. I could go on and on about the intention of features and how they are used, but lets stay with the facts for now.
Your explanations revolve around the Devs having any intention to make the game a fun and enjoyable experience. Thats the level of trust most Killer mains have long lost.
Yeah, Killers get "suckerpunched way to [sic] many times now" with all the survivor nerfs and map changes going through to make the game more fair for killers.
The game has literally never been more fair for Killer mains. I'm not arguing whether about the exact state of fairness and balance in DBD, but this argument of killers being unfairly targeted by devs is flat out wrong.
-
I don't consider DCing to be an exploit, because that player still gets punished. And if the two people are teamed up, both are punished by being forced to wait for the penalty timer to countdown.

PC players have WASD. A joystick is way more precise than that regardless of how many fingers are operating it; for comparison, WASD would be like if you had to use your d-pad for movement.
PC players are probably better on average because more of them are playing with headphones, and because we've been trained by PC Huntresses, Nurses, etc. who do have a distinct advantage over console.
Addendum: Joystick is better for precision, but WASD is better for things like strafing in a first person shooter. So for other games, you have to decide what advantage you want.
In dbd, it doesn't really matter.
-
I'd rather they just put in the ability to give up if you're the last slug.

Only if the Survivor gets DS as an innate perk as well. /s

The tiles are designed to protect them, they have a 3rd person view to see what the killer is doing, and the red stain. If survivors are guessing, they need to improve, because there is no reason to guess.
Dont tell me it cant be done, because I've seen survivors that cant be mindgamed.
....good killers hide their red stain all the time. Once the stain is hidden, the survivor is pretty much stuck guessing which direction they went lol

Killer has to guess all game long, it's called the mindgame. Survivors dont like it when the role is flipped, because they're used to controlling everything.
Every time the Killer is guessing in an attempt to outplay the survivors, the survivors are also guessing.

Is this the thread to moan about that in? OH MAHN BUT I CAN MOVE SLIGHTLY FASTER THAN SURVIVORS SO I SHOULD'VE SEEN THE HATCH AND PLAYED BETTER! DERP DERP DERP

OK! you laughed at noed being compared to hatch, then brought up a completely different scenario. Hatch is a gift for survivors that requires no perk to utilize. And you agreed that a perk that is RNG isnt a crutch so thank you for agreeing that noed is not a crutch.
Where did I ever say that noed is a crutch?
Go on, I'm waiting.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1593527#Comment_1593527
So just a whole different scenario? You questioned how noed, a perk that can be countered, could be compared to a hatch that spawns irregardless of a perk. Yes rng can be a #########. However it doesn't negate the fact that the hatch is a built in "noed" for survivors that they didn't use a perk slot to take advantage of. By noed I mean a crutch that gives a "win" to someone who didn't earn it.
Something that is heavily RNG isn't a crutch. The killer got screwed by RNG. As you said, RNG can be a #########.
And no, my scenario is exactly the same scenario that you described, only for killers; the elusive survivor that completely earned his escape yet can't because the exit gates spawned within eyesight of each other.
This just in: Killers aren't entitled to a 4k and survivors aren't entitled to an escape.
-
@teamdehn said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1593506#Comment_1593506
How is it different? Besides the hatch happens for any survivor at the cost of no perk slot. If running a perk can be considered a crutch surely escaping through hatch when you brought nothing and did nothing besides finding it first is a crutch
It's no different than the survivor who unhooks everyone, completes a majority of generators, and never gets downed losing because the doors spawned within sight of each other.
-
@teamdehn said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/188166/hatch-complaining
the hatch is exactly as rewarding for the one survivor who finds it, assuming no key, as noed. yet noed takes a whole perk slot and has the chance of being completely negated. The hatch is in the game for one reason and one reason only, because the game was going to die if it kept letting that one try hard survivor extending games out forever. so those survivors were rewarded with a coin flip get out of jail free card, that costs no perk slot.
I have never seen Hatch compared to NOED before. Thanks for the laugh!
-
The biggest thing I think is committing to chases too early in the game. Unless the survivor is bad, you probably should get the first hit and then immediately go to a generator near where you found them. Survivors tend to spawn in clusters, so where you found one, you probably can find another.
-
I prestiged Steve because he is my main, and I like the bloody face paired with scoop troop clothes; it makes him look more like him from season 3.
I probably won't prestige another survivor until there's another event like a bloodhunt or something that gives us items like the gatau. It's just too much of a grind under normal circumstances. 1mil+ BPs just to get to level 50, and then probably another million more to get every perk to level 3 once you can't prestige anymore.
Edit: That's like 5mil BPs to prestige one survivor, assuming you start from level 1 no prestige.

No it isn't. You do you. Play what you want. If there is a problem with a Perk the DEV will take it away. Until they it is right as raindrops.
Not that I disagree, but I'm going to use this quote for the next umpteenth thread about DS and/or Unbreakable.

Also, since when is Devour Hope toxic?
