Speculation is exactly that. The leaksbydaylight website explored the possibility but never ever confirmed anything at all.
Putting trust in something that leaks were actually for is an error on the individual person's part.
It wasn't for clicks, it was just engaging with supporters.

Where is the character recovering from an opiate addiction?
Where is the autistic character?
You could run that hamster wheel forever, all pointless in a game that involves the premise of "Did you get stabbed or not?". This isn't Dragon Age, where those themes are relevant.
Representation is not some boxes you need to tick off,literally all people are asking for is a character who's not cishet,because so far the only characters they added relationships to are straight ones.

Adding someone LGBT+ doesn't mean they were only created with being LGBT+ in mind.The process doesn't have to be any different than adding a straight character.It's a line in their lore,the lore is the exact same thing whenever or not it says boyfriend/husband or girlfriend/wife.
If a character is revealed to be LGBT from the start they are ,,only making them to be LGBT'' or if they're revealed later on they are ,,changing the lore to pander''.

It toxic as its simply that player trying to get the bloodpoints for themselves. Denying their team mate who may have deliverance or another perk that unhooking may affect.
But, you carry on doing it. More people will start leaving you hooked, and you'll have to hang there and figure out why
I've been doing it for the past 800 hours and no one ever left me hooked for it
Maybe I'm unlucky but I've only kobed 15 times in that time

They went out of their way to help you but you deny them their reward for no reason.
Also a personal story I have flatout have had teammates die doing this not because of them failing but they succeded denying my "We'll Make It" Then dying to the death slinger/Pyramid head because I couldn't heal them in time due to having my double healing speed being denied by my own teammates.
You're rescuing people because it increases the teams chances of survival not out of the kindness of your heart
