Nothing because I wish it was back to the days when I didn't know anything because that was the most fun
-
Just tunnel the person that switched last second lol

What part of "cosmetics first" don't y'all understand. As long as you get into a game within an hour then cosmetics will always matter more.
-
You haven't lived until a 3 man swf teabags you on your first hook and watches you die.
-
Depends on the swf. There is sweaty "call out the killers every move", gen rush, bully squad, chill, and altruistic. The best way to counter every single one is slug with knockout
-
Twins are definitely one of the weaker killers, that being said, victor is definitely taller than blight so you can low-key exclusively be victor and it's fun af. Especially if you constantly cough and say golem
-
I genuinely don't think there is any bias when it comes to survivors, there used to be a baby dwight and blendette issue but now you can never tell who will be good or bad.
As for killer I only dislike playing against Bubba because it is an insidious basement bubba every single time

I had almost been convinced that it was the killer's objective to A) stop the generators and B) kill the survivors. But that's asking too much apparently; you can only do one or the other. I have spent all night chasing survivors, dropping chases when necessary, kicking gens, and have barely eeked out a 2k average result. I could make it easy for myself and pick Spirit but relying on her gets old quick. It's no secret that her and maybe 2 other killers are the only viable ones in the game, and that's because they generate enough pressure to pressure the gens. Everyone else needs 3+ gen defence perks to make do, and those perks are countered as easy as breathing. Tinkerer: run Spine Chill, Pop: finish the gen before the killer gets there, Ruin: don't get off the gen, Surge: run away from the gens.
Basically, there's no point in defending gens. You'll lose them no matter what you do. The first two will go in the first minute, the next two in the next 2 or 3 minutes, and the last one somewhere from 1 to 3 minutes after that. So what do you want from us killers? Because what I'm getting at is that we need to slug and 1-hook everyone. It's not fun or fair for the survivors, and it's not fun for us, but it gets us the 'win'. How did it come to this? Perhaps the nerfs to the only strong gen slowing perks? Why must every build include gen defence to be viable? These are the questions that need answering.
Just slug if they won't stay off the gens, the most dangerous survivors are the ones that say "gens before friends"

No it’s not difficult. It could be if you are Doc and the skillcheck is reversed or zappy, or maybe if paired with other perks (Huntress’Lullaby, Overwhelming Presence). Overall, not a perk I would suggest from purple ranks and above. If you need a perk to slow a single gen, use Pop instead.
I didn't have pop yet on my doc and it was hell to get it to show up on the bloodweb haha

I was the last survivor in a game that lasted almost 20 minutes, and got nothing for Survivor. This was reported 10 days ago by another player and still nothing has been done about it. How about we get on that?
Comsmetics first bro, duh. You think BHVR cares about bugs? They don't even play their own game.

No but what they did to in secret was lower the Oni's volume when he RAWRS while you are in the killer screen. Absolutely glorious I love it, thank you so much my ears don't bleed all the time now.
I always have the game muted until a match starts lol volume is too inconsistent

I don't know exactly what happened in those matches or even what rank these are. Google the emblems. Then figure out why it happened and then judge if it's right or wrong. With so little info you could've 1 hook killed everyone for the 4k. While, the camping was a long match of hitting and chasing only to camp a kill in egc
This is my bad for the misunderstanding I normally start discussions with "I'm a rank 1 surv and rank 1 killer with over 5k hours" so people know I don't have to Google what the emblems do

@Terro said:
It's because DBD's ranking system isn't about just killing or escaping.
That's not the issue though, the issue is if I camp a hook I'm not doing anything if I'm actively killing all 4 survivors I am doing way more then sitting in front of a hook, but the game I spent a large chunk sitting doing nothing I pipped and the game I killed everyone and did multiple chases and kicked several gens I didn't pip. I think it's probably an issue if I get rewarded more for camping.

It's a sad state of affairs right now because of the patch.
Lol survivors can crouch right in front of the spirit and she will miss 2/3 swings even if she is touching the survivor due to the broken hotboxes. Both sides are affected to the same degree I feel because high rank killers aren't doing as well as before the update statistically.

Was it actually 27 seconds, or are you just saying that it's 27 seconds? Either way, you'll need to have:
1) Recorded the incident
2) reported the offender(s) in-game
3) Send a separate support ticket with the video
I timed it, I'm just paused on the end game screen to see if I should report or nah, like is it worth it even if I do report? Nobody gets banned when they type racial slurs soo I think nobody gets banned

Yes it has been disabled likely due to a game breaking bug or a bug in the map rotations my friend got the map 6 times back to back.
I doubt they care about map rotation. I have played the game 15 matches in a row as killer due to survivor offerings.

I honestly want to see what happens if you stretch a match out as long as possible now tbh, like the server has to give out eventually right?
-
@lagosta said:
as a killer, you can start the ECG by opening the door. If the generators are not completed, you have to close the hatch to do so.
I'm a rank 1 killer I know lol I just thought eventually the match would timeout haha so like I can stretch a public match out a full 24 hours without it timing out?

like the title states, the killers really are op.
Now, I’m not saying I’m a god at the game so there’s no way I can possibly lose in a survivor match. Sometimes I win, and normally I lose. But I can tell when a game makes things way too one sided.
More than half the time I’m playing as a survivor, I’ll try to drop a pallet on a killer. More than half of those times, the killer will get stunned while also hitting me. One time, I dropped the pallet, animation and all, and the killer just slipped right through and hit me as if it never dropped. The range on their attacks is insane too. The animation is no where near me and I get hurt. They can be looking in the opposite direction from me when they swing, the weapon itself never touches me, and I get hit. When I jump through a window, their weapon never passes the seal, yet I can be a couple feet away and still get hit.
this doesn’t even mention the mobility of killers, I get the speed buff, that way they can actually catch up to the killers, but when they not only can catch up, but also have these movements so the survivors have no chance of slowing them down, it’s insane. Certain base abilities that come with certain killers make them op. The leather face killer can sprint forward, turning at a normal rate, swinging a few times before it ends. The Clown has the gas that not only makes you scream but also dazed you and slows you down. Legion can jump over pallets and jump through windows at the same speed as survivors while also having the extra speed to catch up to them and also doing bleed damage. Any killer that has a silent state but can come out of it in an instant and hit survivors (the wraith, the killer that can turn invisible with his bell, must wait a second as he turns visible with an audible tone, a balance). The hag, having 10 teleports that replenish as soon as one gets used. The oni, that can move at like triple the speed of survivors and one hit down them for nearly the entire game. Any killer who can get an exposed status in order to one hit down survivors (this can be fine if it wasn’t something that can be activated for more than half the game). The scream, where he can crouch and is silent, so he can just sit there, expose you, then immediately get you down. Michael Myers, who can simply stare at you and expose you, multiple times in a single match (had one who’s total time was 90% with exposed status effect for the game). The Doc, who can shock the area so at to find anyone with ease, with only a slow walk for a second.
like, come on, how can it ever be expected for survivors to win if they are only ever to be able to get hit one time the whole match. How can they win if they never see or hear the killer coming before they are suddenly hit and chased instantly. How can they be expected to win when the base abilities of killers make it nearly impossible to actually get anything done, even one generator, unless somehow one person distracts the killer long enough.
And I know some will say that you can go against these killers and win. Yes, but not once have I gone against a killer like this with rank 10 or higher, who loses. Maybe one person finds the hatch, but the gates are rarely opened, and that’s if the killer does it themselves.
and this isn’t even mentioning perks, where they can easily find survivors within seconds of hooking one or perks that give the exposed status effect.
I get that these are specialty killers and survivors can get perks to counter some of the perks that killers use. But with nothing to ever combat the over reaching advantage of killers, it’s never really fair. A simple balance, one where there are actual hindrances when something that can ultimately destroy just about any player, needs to be put In place. Take the nurse for example, when she uses her blink, whether she hits someone or not, she is forced to look at the ground and is slow for a couple of seconds, given it isn’t too hard to actually keep up with a survivor, she can easily find and start the chase again. But she can’t simply blink, take half a second before she can swing again, and immediately do it again. Way too often do I go into a game and don’t even want to play the match because, well, I don’t actually get to play the match. It isn’t because I happen to get targeted first, but because I know that the second the killer finds someone, they go down, and now there is even more of an advantage for the killer, because someone has to save the other survivor while the killer is possibly camping the hook and maybe the other survivors aren’t healing or trying to get to a generator. Yes, it takes some strategy to win as a survivor, I’m not denying that, but when no strategy works because you can’t combat the fact that a killer is completely invisible or has no terror radius, when the killer is more than double the speed of the survivor, when they have easily rechargeable abilities that result in one hit knock downs, when they can swing multiple times, meaning if they miss the first, all they really have to do is turn or keep moving a little forward to hit you, when the pallets or windows don’t seem to actually do much unless you already have a big lead on the killers, the game becomes pointless. It’s like trying to play a game of monopoly that your friend invited you over but you happen to be playing with the one kid who flips the game over when he starts to lose, but you take the chance that the kid wasn’t invited because you want to play with your friends, but the chance is still there that he will be there because the host invites him because if he didn’t the kid would cry to his mom and they’d sue for discrimination or some crap. Like, if the killers were ever actually balanced, the people who main them because it’s the easiest thing they’ve ever done would cry and say it’s too hard, so the devs would immediately put them back. It’s happened in just about every game I left for unbalanced pvp reasons. I just want to be able to get into a game with my friends without having to worry that the killer will immediately ruin the game for us. It’s a constant problem.
Survivor is 500 times easier than killer. Killers have to mind game, monitor generators, get abused by toxic groups, deal with poor gen spawns, have hex perks spawn at survivors feet so it gets cleansed the second the match starts, and killers have to know when to drop a chase.
Meanwhile a survivor just needs friends and a mouse that has M1.

Are you mad? Gideon is now quite possibly the most survivor sided map in the game. The walls limit killers patrol SIGNIFICANTLY and the maps update has left it with the highest number of good pallets in the entire game. There can be no less than 8 god pallets at any given time with the rest of them only being incredibly safe. Killers have no chance to outplay or mindgame at the tiles due to how safe they are. The game also doesn't take floors into account for hook spawns so killers can have colossal hook dead zones. The only killers who do really well there are wraith and god damn jumpscare myers.
1-3 pallets in every room with the main room on the top floor having up to 8... And survivors can't make it two seconds without complaining about a hotbox that gets caught on jagged edges sometimes... Sigh

in the past that was just a visual bug and when you load into the next lobby you should still be at the same rank/pip. But I have yet to have someone DC at the load screen after this current patch.
No longer visual bug, not like rank matters in this game though, gonna search as a rank 1 killer and play 3 rank 20 survivors

Just played my first game as killer on the new game and oh my safe pallet to safe pallet like devs what is this . Clearly shows the devs are so poor at balancing this game . Please can we have a patch to reduce the number of safe pallets!
It is the new haddonfield. Every single match is a game map offering, swf with 4 flashlights. Then after the match they tell you that the game is killer sided now because of hit boxes after all 4 escape.

Do you all really recieve toxicity this often?
For me it's very rare to see toxicity in post game chat. Maybe once in 30 games I have someone unhappy. Most of the time they don't say anything, or just say gg to my gg.
So I genuinely don't understand why there is such strong statement that "dbd comunity is toxic".
If you get a 4k as a killer then you will 95% of the time have toxicity, even though I say "gg" and "good luck on your next and I hope you have a good day" it is normally retorted by the survivors with "F off you J*w"

Without seeing your playstyle it's quite hard to be able to give many tips. I'm a big fan of Corrupt Intervention for trying to slow things down in the early part of the game, this has definitely helped me when I've been feeling a bit pressurised in matches.
But also, some games you're going to outright lose - that happens to everyone (on both sides). Even in Red Ranks there's a fairly mixed skill of players - not everyone is the same skill level, I think most people will agree with that. And that goes for killers as well as survivors - which is why sometimes you will play against survivors that can waste enough of your time in chases so that the gens get completed.
There's definitely perks that can help you - Pop if you can hook people, Ruin if you're able to pressurise the gens at all for example. Both of those have things you have to complete as a killer first though, which is why I like Corrupt Intervention so much as I can rely on it instantly, it buys me that time at the start of the match and usually allows me to at least get into a proper chase before a generator has been completed.
Corrupt has been a life changer, thank you so so much!

Thank you everyone! I was also wondering what other killers I should try out, I've only really played the characters from slasher movies like myers, gf, bubba, and trapper (because he is knock off Jason Voorhees)
