  • Since when? lmao

You can literally nerf Shack (the strongest tile in the game) with the breakable wall, break the walls in main and it becomes laughably killer sided, pallets get used fast since most are trash and you are left with all gens out in the open.

    It's def more killer sided

  • welp, happy for you guys, remind me to equip unbreakable/Soul gard once this tome starts to deal with the sluggage

  • I disagree.

If you are good at survivor you do not need most of the meta perks to win, you just have to have enough game sense and some sort of understanding of what is going on with the rest of the team so you are not wasting time.

If you are not in a chase or unhooking or cleansing a hex, you have to be a on a gen, and that's basically it, you have to remember the killer cannot pressure 4 people at once unless he is allowed (like people allow camping Bubba to 4k because no one is doing gens or trading).

Just be smart about not 3 gening and trading when needed and learn to loop and you are already good to go. You do not need COH or DH for that

I am currently prestiging Feng and I have been playing with lithe / windows since I did not have dh when I was in the P2 phase, so just messing around with some random perks and in most cases my chases were still okay and I managed to escape. In solo.

The biggest issue, and the one you actually should have talked about is that people who are new at killer play super scummy (camping/tunneling without any exception with noed slapped at the end) and that's the problem for the new players since Killer is much easier as beginner than Survivor. No one will want to stay after getting camped 1 min into the game

New players do not know how to use Dead Hard properly and will press it randomly in the open just to dodge a hit and go down 1 sec later and they certainly won't have Mikaela unlocked and leveled up the moment they start the game to even have COH.

its understandable for the most part nurse doesnt have any sort of counterplay, and poeple say "try duble backing" "try losing LOS" none of that works cause she 100% doesnt have any counterplay is on her being bad and messing up. so people try "something" wich in the end are just gimmicks to try and outplay an impossible power to outplay. (unless again, she is bad).

There are situations where there is nothing you can do and is best just to run to the corner of the map to waste her time while she is picking you up, however saying Nurse lacks counterplay is not true

When you are playing Nurse, after your first blink you have to make quick decision if you are going to succumb to fatigue or use the second one. If you have LOS on a survivor who just double backed of course you are going to just blink again and hit them since they are near or you already got lucky because they messed up by doubling back exactly where you landed and you get an easy free hit, but if they pushed forward you have to blink again just to catch up and then they can use los and then you have to find them again. Eventually you will win the chase but not going down in 10 seconds but in 40 is already a huge thing for the team

My favorite survivors are the ones that try to pallet loop nurse. It just makes me ask "you know that doesn't work on this killer right?"

omg I always laugh, sometimes I give in and chase the random Meg against the unsafe loop so she can stun me

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Yeah, most survivors are super predictable or have obvious tells against Nurse. I think there aren't that many good Nurse players out there, so players don't get a ton of experience against her. Survivors often make a move on the first blink but have nothing for the second blink. So if the Nurse gets LOS after the first blink, the survivor is toast. They often don't give themselves a chance.

Yeah, I honestly find it boring because people just hold forward AFTER getting hit and then waiting for me to fail for dead hard and that's it, that's the chase most of the time, after that they just seem lost even tho there was a lot of stuff around us they could have used and extend the chase by at least 10-15 seconds

However, I do think there are a lot of good Nurses, not obviously god level, but since mostly veterans play her these days you will rarely face a nurse who will fail for the double back, that's why it was strange to me

Also I forgot to mention, the pallet camping, I legit laugh every single time this happens to me when I play Nurse and a random Meg will hide behind the pallet and expect me to chase her around it, sometimes I do it for the lols

  • Stay on hook while Bubba camps me if it's at the beginning of the match, I will just die so I can move on, esp because in 99% my teammates will be running around like headless chicken instead of pushing the gens

Obviously if it's at the end game I will hold on, but other than that I am out. His camping is extremely broken mechanic and since I mostly play solo, I really have no tools to deal with it

  • I am sorry but Spirit is WAYYYYYYYYYYY more boring to play than those 2.

Legion will become so cringe after the change IMO, you will be injured 24/7 you can't heal cuz all legion players will use anti-healing perks and maybe stealth builds too, so you'll be injured 24/7 and they'll be undetected.

thats not fun to go against imo.

    And?

They are still a basic m1 killer that can be looped until most gens are done on most of the maps

at least it's not a plague situation where no one heals anyway but if they do they are heavily punished by giving her power with a questionable hitbox

If u are high mmr most things u see are nurse blight, for some reason nemesis and camping bubba's, that's it.

Legion and Ghostie (2 killers I do enjoy to play) being more viable can only be a good thing for the game

  • I am 90% sure it will be IT.

Anniversary is always reserved for something super iconic, to me Springtrap just screams mid chapter a la Pinhead

  • I think it's def the hardest map to do it on, and if the killer is in the yard when the gen pops or hatch is near the it's gg

If they are upstairs on the other end then it might be possible

Side note: I think this is one of the reasons the map has the highest kill rate in the entire game

  • I do agree it's super powerful, I love to use it myself, but since you only got one hook that team obviously knew what they were doing and how / when to use it and were a swf so I do not think styptic was the sole reason they won.

Also it's one time use per trial, unlike some bs killer add ons that you get to use the entire game.

  • Legit hope that people who make these kind of threads get bullied every single game until they delete dbd for good.

Literally entitled killer main who thinks they are better at the game than they actually are and blames everything but themseves for their loss.

  • It's just not fun atm.

Every single match someone is getting tunneled / camped at 5 gens / unbalanced matchmaking / OP survivor perks / boring killers (nemesis, artist, trickster are among the least fun to face)

people just reached the boiling point as the game has been consistently frustrating for quite some time now

  • Absolutely disagree, yes it's powerful but if you are not good at looping it's worthless, you need to use it at the right time to actually get any value. Also it's one time per chase usage.

I personally am a DH user but lately I have been using SB paired with windows of opportunity and actually I would say I have been having better games overall since even killers are not that used to sb and just commit to chasing me when I already got to the strong tile with sb so it makes chases longer

  • Because you are on your own against 4 other people, that in itself is kinda scary.

When it comes to survivor, I mostly get annoyed when my teammates go down in 10 seconds on a survivor sided map like the game or fractured or do some stupid stuff but it's never really stressful unless it's a close call and we are all playing well so the odds can change any second.

When playing killer, you are on your own, your mistakes can cost you the match and you have 4 other people who are either going to think you are bad and bm you or who are just better than you and you feel like there's nothing you can do.

And when you are doing good you still have to keep it up until the end so it only feels good once the match is over and everyone is dead.

My advice when playing killer is just to go with a mentality that you want to have fun and get the most use out of your power.

When I play Nurse I always just hope I will get some spicy blinks, with Ghostie I want to stalk and surprise people and have some cheeky insta downs, with Hag I just want those gen grabs with rusty shackles, or I want to get some cool shots with Huntress etc.

Playing and focusing exclusively on 4k is miserable, I say that from personal expirence.

  • Last year we had 4 chapters and 2 had a map. I am betting the anniversary chapter will have a map as well plus we are getting Haddonfield rework soon, so if they mirror last year it's 2 new maps this year plus a rework of an old one that was the most complained about.

  • MMR literally does not exist / work as it should, please stop.

  • No.

If you actually commit to chases as hag you are not playing her correctly, and buffing speed of ranged killers would make them oppressive as Slinger, Huntress and Trickster can all take a health state from far away, you just have to know which loops are in your favour and which are not.

And let's not even talk about 115. Imagine anti loop killers such as Nemesis or Artist ending chases even faster or Blight....

  • Not my main noo :(

so this means its dead by blight time now until she is back

Non-Campers played better than campers and more kills ofcourse. Some of them were unlucky.

14th guy was really good Bubba main but he had not any slow-down perk. So generators was very fast. He lost for this. But even with that, he did not camp at even end game.

18th guy was also so good, he lost 1 escape with hatch.

Campers were same mostly. Get down survivor, no matter it will take how long time. And then camp.

17th guy maybe he did not plan to camp. He chased me for 5 gens and then he camped me. So i don't know about him.

Yeah and it makes sense since people who do no camp are mostly good with their power and know how to chase.

I would rather die to a good Bubba where we had the chase and I lost than face a camping bubba who is camping someone who is not me, do the gens and manage to open the gate on time and escape, the camping matches just feel like such a huge waste od everyone's time.

  • The sad thing is Bubba is super fun for me to face when not camping, it's exciting to know you can get insta downed at any time but you have pallets / loops / windows and then you mind game eachother or that moment when you are in the open and you start to loop some random object praying it will be enough to outlast the charges

but with the way most of my bubba matches go, I would rather have him deleted from the game

If the killer is in a chase with another survivor near a hook it would it should not activate then, since that's a survivor making a mistake and looping the killer around the hook instead of trading.

Once again; Proximity punishments WILL NOT WORK. Survivors will just stand outside the proximity, thus forcing the Killer to pick between giving away an unhook, or giving free gen speed bonuses.

Proximity-based punishments were tried. Survivors abused them. They. Are. Not. Happening. Ever.

So in that case the killer can still have his kill if he refuses to leave the hook and the other person who is in proximity is not doing a gen, so they are also wasting the team's time (as I explained the buff to speed would decrease with each gen so 2 people would not be able to finish all the gens if the third person is standing in proximity and the 4th is on the hook).

Killer is already abusing camping at 5 gens strategy and securing a kill for minimum effort - that effort being winning one chase and downing one survivor.

Killers should get buffs and everything for all the other stupid things in the game, but this strategy is literally broken and devs should address it so they can make the game better for everyone.

  • @ObscurityDragon said:

Having 3 gens poping within à minute because the killer is near à hook will just give him more of à reason to stay then

Beside what would happen if you hook on one thats in a loop (or shack) and another survivor comes and loops you there? It would give à repair speed bonus for the two others

The only real answer to camping, is for the devs to make killer gameplay fun and attractive again

If the killer is in a chase with another survivor near a hook it would it should not activate then, since that's a survivor making a mistake and looping the killer around the hook instead of trading.

Anyway, it really seems like most people are so fixated on their negative experience against coordinated SWF who will pop all the gens regardless.

I would love to witness your solo games where the killer is looped for 5 gens and everyone is a comp level survivor who spreads out in a perfect triangle across the map to do the gens while the 4th person loops the killer and pre-drops every pallet.

In practice, and in most cases killers will camp for one reason to another at the beginning of the match and the time the other survivors have to complete the gens is simply not enough, esp if Noed No way out, remember me, rancor and what not is added to the mix.

And that's in the scenario where people will just sit on gens. In other cases, if someone goes for the rescue and then the camped person is still tunneled out, that's even more time wasted and not enough time to complete the gens.

I am aware that this game is survivor sided in lot of aspects since I play killer myself, but it's a fact that Killer can abuse this and have a guaranteed kill, while there is not a single strategy as far as I am aware that guarantees you escape as a survivor that can be abused like this.

I am also all open for Killers getting buffs to compensate this AND even gens taking longer if there is no camping involved, but face camping at 5 gens is something that should be addressed and anyone who does feel like it's not a problem never plays Survivor / Solo q.

  • The same thing happened to me but I just restarted the game and it's back to normal.

  • I hate her.

Hate her anti loop power, hate her sounds, just overall super unfun to go against and I am honestly not interested in learning to play her, I would rather play m1 killer with a twist like ghostie or pig than spam crows at every side of the loop or abuse dead man switch

  • I think he is super fun to go against and to play as, probably the best designed killer in the game, but yeah as someone said, every other match it's Blight, I legit got 8 in one day. It just becomes boring to go against him.

  • Both perks are annoying to go against

I played against Wraith in solo q who had Jolt and DMS and it was so painful, we simply were not able to complete a single gen and in the same match I also had wiggle build (ff, boil over, unbreakable, power struggle) and I just gave up on gens and started to attemt to get value from my perks which I did and then wraith gave up on picking me up and bleed me to death, there was also Claudiette with similar build and same happened to her so yeah.

    DMS is more useful tho

  • She is not fun at all to go against esp if you do not have Iron Will.

  • Removing tiers is still by far the best and the most logical idea

  • @Ryuhi said:

The worse the game gets for killer, the more killers are forced to play in a way that ruins the game for solos. When killers are not confident, they have to resort to tactics that secure few kills rather than ones that could potentially get many. SWF has had this type of rippling effect for years but it will never be removed and makes things impossible to balance. Buffing solos to shorten the gap is one thing, but killers need to be allowed to have more variety in playstyle and actually be viable or they're just going to keep quitting the game entirely.

The issue with this logic is, a good coordinated SWF are way more rare than solo q, most games are people playing solo.

I understand that it's much easier for people to focus on the games they lost to a good team but it's like everyone forgot that people do not play with their friends all the time or at all.

Also some people will never accept they made mistakes in their killer games and that's why they lost not because of a swf but that's a thread of its own

  • No.

People should either learn to bait it or just accept that a good survivor can use it for distance one time and then can not use it in a chase again

  • I think it's not that bad for everyone

Huntress and Trickster can hit you over the pallets

Demo and Bubba can shred trought the pallets super fast and catch up

maybe even Billy since the map does not have windows and there are some dead zones where he can easily insta down you

Nemesis will hit you with his tentacle over the pallet no matter what as that hitbox is is the worst thing in the game

    Artist can zone you

Blight is Blight and if you know what you are doing you will catch up before they make it to a loop

And as a Nurse player I adore The Game lol nothing feels better than using nurses and blinking on someone healing on the other floor

  • My problem with NOED after 2k hours combined on all platforms is not really how it rewards ''bad gameplay'' it's just that it makes the game almost unplayable for new players.

At higher ranks, killers do not even run it, and if they do, you as a survivor with experience know about it, you know where totems spawns are and it's not like everyone and their mother does not run iron will / dead hard and does not care about being injured anyway.

The issue is, 80% of new games are camping tunneling wraith who will then noed the remaining people after they camped and tunneled one person at 5 gens. It's one of the reasons why the survivor experience is so awful when you are new and in solo q and honestly one of the reasons the game is struggling to keep new players after each new release.

It needs a re-work because of newer players, not the veterans. I have never seen people complain about devour hope for example. It's the perk that offers high risk / high reward and actually incentives killer to play ''fair'' and then they get rewarded for it. It's probably my favourite hex and the one I would say is the best designed in the game.

  • Nothing feels worse to me when you land that perfect blink and dead hard makes them escape. I mean it does not extend the chase by that much since after that the survivor in question can't do anything more, but it still is irritating.

Eating a ds at the gate means you already had a ######### game to be with since someone had to unhook them and if you are not after that person and can't kill them in time and the only option is to tunnel the unhooked person that means the game is already lost

I never understand the no skill argument. Tracking survivors by sound is most definitely a skill and knowing how and when to the shift the directional audio is something that comes with game knowledge and practice.

Every single killer in the game should track survivor by sound, it's not really Spirit skill, her power just makes it easier to do that and thatt's basically why she is boring to me, I feel like I am not learning any new mechanic, and the shifting directional audio thing is kinda pointless because if you are on a survivor and they are hurt and can't go to the pallet / loop in time you still get a hit on them and it does not matter if they knew you were coming or no.

  • I used to play her when I started playing the game, but honestly, after I branched out and started maining Nurse and trying out Blight / Huntress and stealth killers who are on the weaker side (ghostie mostly) it just came to me how boring she is in comparison to those like she only requires headphones, basic game sense, and if you are facing non iron will users it's mostly gg ez. I feel like her power does everything for you and it does not require any sort of skill improving after you already figured out how DBD works.

Her nerf also does not help that much.
