Hi, was it fixed maybe after today's update?
-
for every SWF there are literally 50 4k stomps on solo q players, killer players only remember the matches they lose while they win 10 more that day, while survivors are pretty much expected to lose unless swf-ing

Except… survivor isn't exactly a team role. or more like. The design of the game mechanics doesn't consider survivors to be a team. As far as the game is concerned it's 1v1v1v1v1v1. - Just that four of those individuals have the same objective (though: still individually) and the remaining individual has a different objective. As far as the game is concerned it would be perfectly alright for one individual to throw the three others that share the same objective under the bus in order to complete the objective.
[Also, since there's quite a bunch of different opinions and sub-discussions in this thread, it would be very helpful if you quoted the post you're referring to. If no post is quoted, at least I just gonna assume OP (aka me) is addressed. And I can assure you: I am most definitely not a killer main.]
I believe we both have played this game enough to know how it works in actual matches.
If you truly believe that the flawed mmr system and the way it works should be taken into considerstion when playing surivor, meaning you will on purpose throw matches and make it frustrating for your team, just stick to killer. -
all that only to disregard the fact that Survivor is a team game mode and unless you are playing with friends who are all down to do dumb #########, you are ruining the match for other players
-
I came back after a looong break since newest chapter looked super fun and playing with my partner we had ok matches and escaped a lot. However, my recent solo session - every single game the first person found was tunneled to death, I was tunneled 2 times out of 5 matches - and I am talking hardcore tunneling when the killer would down the teammate who was trying to help and proceed not to pick up to get me and it's just reminded why I stopped playing in the first place..like you just do not get to play the game at all. Sad
-
LMAO at the difference between killer and survivors streaks.
Nurse is my most played killer and I enjoy Blight but these 2 streaks prove how broken they are if played by the best players - no one should be able to win 1000+ in a row in any game, ever, no matter how good they are
-
nothing, because it obviously does not impact the game outside of skilless killer players coming to this forum to complain
-
the only thing I agree is that the matchmaking system needs to be better
the last time I checked if you ready up as survivor your goal is to do gens and escape and if you ready up as killer your goal is kill the survivors, there's literally nothing else to do
all this talk about messing around, doing what exactly? Opennig chests and doing totems? Lol
This is not gta 5 online, I am sorry but imagine people wanting to win in a pvp game, shocking
I completely understand that we are all tired of this one game mode we have but please stop shaming other people who want to win, like if you do not want to go against people wanting to win don't play online pvp games
there are "sweats" aka good players who want to win in every single game there is
the only thing here that needs to be done is fix the matchmaking and balance the game to be as fair as possible on both ends, that's it, no one is entitled to other players playing the way they want
-
oh wow what a perfect example of whiny entitled killer mains in one thread
where to even start...
first of all genrushing just means that the killer is not competent enough to do their objective which slows down gens, I am sure we all know survivors objective is to do gens and killer's objective is to hook them and eventually get them out of the game if the killer is not doing that successfully survivors have more than enough time to finish all the gens fast
even a 4 man swf squad with 4 bnps and hyperfocuses cannot finish all the gens fast if you are just as good or better than them and are able to down them in time, so instead of improving and learning from every game you play what could have been done better it's easier to just blame it all on other players who are literally just doing their objective, it's okay to lose and be worse, like no one's life is on the line.
and second, using head-on, dead hard and flashlight is bullying now? LMAO If you actually feel bullied by pixels you have way bigger problems than DBD and its lack of balance
yeah sure we have streamers and 12 year old kids who want to ''bully'' but you can either just kill them in match by being better player and have that form of satisfaction or just be mature enough to realize this is a video game and you will always have the next match to go where you might have better time. If you are a grown adult getting this bothered by a video game that is soo bad I am sorry, like maybe do not play dbd or pvp games where you have to interact with other people?
-
ehh, it was also oppressive and annoying just in a different way
the reason why I personally did not hate this meta was that my friends actually played the game with me back then so dealing with this as a swf was a minor inconvenience
however, it was still a solo q stomper, just the fact that undying and ruin demanded coordination to cleanse as you have to do it at the start, but without any comms you would either have multiple survivors searching at the start of the match or no one searching at all, losing precious time
And no one misses ruin undying tinkerer Blight or Nurse, all of that was miserable but you just died faster
I would say yes the game was way more fun since Skull Merchant and The Knight along with the 3 gen strat are by far the worst thing that happened to the game ever so if I had to choose now I would rather play that than whatever this is
-
people who dodge need to ask themselves why are you even playing this game, like I will NEVER understand people who are scared to go against good players, when you lose you can still maybe learn something, like using people who are skilled to improve and maybe pick up one of their tricks or two can only benefit you in the long run
because:
what happens if you win : NOTHING
what happens if you lose: NOTHING
it's literally just one match you can move on from
I have a feeling dbd players in particular have this mentally draining connection to this game and are acting like their real life is ruined if they lose in a party game from 2016
-
all I see is survivors just using their perks well against a weaker killer, it happens, but I can bet that if we take a look at the match replay we would probably find other reasons that it was 3e other than just screaming nerf haste111!!, there's a chance you just made some mistakes as well
like looking at the points it seemed like a good match, would you rather face brand new parts/gen rush builds or 4 medkits
-
both kindred and when talking killers corrupt intervention are too good to be base kit can we move on from this discussion

Yah...
Most of what I see doesn't lend itself to a game you want to own up to playing in public. Twitch is especially creepy.
On youtube you can at least find players that talk about the mechanics of the games and how to do specific things.
That one dude though, that makes a living off of blowing up the worst drama exchanges. That guy...
So, yah, thats all negative publicity. As if the game doesn't give itself enough, it has its own racism/sexism/everyism announcers(I think there are two that specialize in this)
I completely forgot about this and it's actually the thing I hate the most - it's these ''expose'' channels who are like PLEASE DO NOT SEND HATE GUYS and then posts a clip of a streamer acting like the biggest bigot while camping/tunneling or flashlight clicking, yeah do not send hate sure, you want those people to ''better'' themselves and not have your army of followers harras them and create even more drama, honestly the WORST kind of DBD content creators by far, ######### them
@HugTheHag said:
I do think it plays a part.
Content creators just have a lot of influence on their viewers and their opinions, whether they realize it or not.
I wouldn't even say Otz is that much of a perfect representation of the community (or is he?). For all his wholesome vibes, the guy has a quite the double standards at times. Anything he can't handle with 0 perks and addons equipped is disgusting. Anytime he faces a tunneler as survivor, it's "such a shame to play [killer] and camp & tunnel" yet when he's playing killer, that's... exactly what he's doing ?
But yeah, too much of DbD content creation right now is focused on toxicity because unfortunately that's what makes the most views I guess. That and all the fearmongering around "toxic ttv is so toxic ! clic to know why !"... And all the coy "OMG this build makes me feel so bad for the other side lol, please don't use it <3"
I've kind of drifted away from watching DbD content creators at the moment, except for lore retelling.
Yeah no one is perfect but at least his content is based on the actual game - just look at the amount of tutorials, add ons, perks, killer power explanation videos he has and all of those videos are like hours long, honestly the advice you can give to someone when starting this game would be like go watch Otz content first to teach you stuff the game won't. I mean I get he gets paid for that but imagine having to play DBD for hours and then produce 5-hour long video for it, like I get overwhelmed after 3 bad matches in a row and I want to uninstall the game after that and yet there are people like him who actually want to help people get better at the game even though the game can be so mentally exhausting (this is what I think separates DBD from other online games - it just feels so bad to lose/have bad matches). And then compare to the rest of the DBD content where people literally act like the biggest losers by taunting people for not being good or losing to them in a party unbalanced game
-
honestly the knight, BHVR really managed to outdo themselves and make a killer that's so annoying and represents everything boring with the current DBD
-
I think not having IW against Spirit is really a bad time (and no it does not matter if I can hear her as well if I do not have a pallet or a safe window I am dead because she can simply use md ring to be on me in 1 sec and I do not have time to hide and she can hear me).
Outside of that I am so used to playing without it these days
-
It's the perk that works the best on the most powerful killers - Nurse and Blight, if you are good at these 2 the only thing you need to do is just go there start the first chase end it quickly (and you can do this with these 2) and you are already at a huge advantage in comparison to the survivors who literally spawned in and already had double range Sally on their ass
It's also good on Huntress for obvious reasons but I feel Huntress needs additional perks / add-ons (that most Huntress mains run like BBQ. bitter, I am all ears etc)
-
pleaae, it's literally one of the few fun things left to do in this game
-
When I ALWAYS get RPD when I want to play Nurse
When my devour (which is my favourite killer perk and I try to bring it with as many killers it can work on as possible) gets cleansed without even getting 1 down first
-
no they are not
I understand the frustration but you do not need any specific perks to win the games nor specific killers, if you think you do then you are just bad at the game
you are not entitled to ANYTHING being given for free, especially since BHVR gives all original content for free and DLCs can be found dirt cheap online
they need to charge for something in order for us to keep getting new content, it's literally a business, I swear people are acting as if gaming companies are charities or something
DBD is so unique in the sense that you can never experience all of the content it can provide in one match anyway and there is so much free content and a combination of builds that can be done with original perks that are strong, its really more nuanced than just 'omg licensed perks op = win'' when there's so much rng involved in this game anyway
-
oh wow those are some TRASH teammates, I actually got triggered when I read this
-
No, all of your requests are based of the fact that surviors are making huge mistakes and that somehow devs should try and soften the blow for the team because they played poorly
Being good at survivor means you know not to be on the same gen at 5 gens, not unhooking in front of the killers face (unless he is hardcore camping and you want to give your teamate a chance) not self caring in the corner against the Legion
I understand that Tunneling sucks for the survivors but try to do gens or take hits for your teamate, survivor is a team role after all and when yours and mine solo q teamates lack brain cells it's really not the game or killers fault that we lost
-
As a kindred user I think this perk is too good to be base kit, do not get me wrong it would free one slot in my loadout then but I think this is an overkill because it shows you the killer and your teammates, maybe a nerfed version would work
-
The idea of having 3 other people with you who you know will do gens, unhook and are good loopers vs playing solo is night and day difference and literal different game mode
I am not going to lie and pretend saying that I do not like that easier mode less than solo q but unfortunately as on top of that playing with your friends is always fun, but all my friends and my bf who got me into this game ditched it and I probably haven't played in a SWF in more than a year now, so the reason SWF is a controversial topic is because of the advantages it gives to the survivors, bunch of perks for free, coordination for everything that goes on in the match and also you can coordinate your perks and pull of some insane plays with stuff like power struggle, head on, sabo, exponenatal and bunch of other perks that would kill you for trying to use them against a killer with bunch of randoms
And obviously this is not fun when you are playing a killer, even a good Nurse can struggle if the survivors know exactly where to run her and split on gens
This effect causes some killers to act like they are going against swf every single match and bring out the sweatiest tactics of camping and tunneling at 5 gens against most solo teams
It's the most powerful role in the game by far
-
Scott clearly says in that video that he thinks killer is easier than solo q not survivor overall and I can't phantom how can ANYONE disagree with that
-
as a Yun Jin main who is rocking that same skin atm I promise we are not all salty :( I was tunneled and camped most of my matches the day I bought that skin (which is honestly one of my favorite survivor skins ever), it looks like the killers HATE IT lmao
-
yes as survivor I have loads of fun against Billy but the thing is, he is probably not, I agree with people above, the effort is not worth the result when people who play Nurse and Bliight and put 50% less effort against average team can still 4k at 5 gens
-
I actually enjoy most of the cast - the ones I hate to be chased by are actually in minority - Artist, Trickster, Twins and most recently the Knight
However my problem with this even though I love getting chased, in solo q there's a thin line between - I will get camped and tunneled because I dared to ask to be chased/will NEVER get unhooked by randoms who will crouch in the corner so that is automatically my first and last chase and I will have an amazing match with fun mind games multiple times and won't care if I die or escape by the end so I do not even risk it these days

Because there are 4 survivors to balance for rather than just one killer
@[Deleted User] said:
They're rightfully hesitant to crank up numbers on "do X faster" style perks, because then you'll have 4 instances of that perk in every trial. It doesn't leave you with much left do design around though, so they end up adding mechanics like Boons.
Somewhat on topic: Hyperfocus is weird to me. Have people actually tried running it? It's a dead perk slot half the time. Biggest placebo perk in the game.
@GrimoireWeiss said:
Because you have to take into account that 4 survivors can bring in the same perk, so when a single survivor brings it, it probably won't be that good.
I understand what you guys want to say but here is my problem with this, we already can be in this situation even with the current perks we have, 4 survivors with lets say 4 sprint burst, windows, off the record and coh / kindred / prove whatever, and all of these are 4 good perks on 4 survivors, but I would not call any of these perks broken, sure if the survivors are good even in solo and killer did not bring his best stuff or is not that good at the game they can roll him, but actually in this current gen kicking meta and strong add ons and camping and tunneling all 4 survivors should bring these perks if they even want to have a chance (I am talking about all these scenarions in relation to solo q, not SWF which is a different problem)
If we had more good perks to choose from there would be a variety of builds based on the fact that survivors simply have a bigger choice
this was the problem with the old meta, there was 0 reason to run anything else other than dead hard / iron will / decisive strike / unbreakable / borrowed time if you want to win because these perks were too good and miles above the rest, and rightfully BHVR decided to change this and honestly after bunch of nerfs COH received as well I honestly do not think that we have anything on the survivor side that's super powerful (without coordination / in solo q - so most matches) anymore to stop them from giving us more good perks that can be part of the current post survivor nerf meta, because I feel like nerfing bunch of perks even stuff like spine chill / self care which you could argue were also meta perks really hurt the choices you can have these days as a survivor that can reliably help you
People mentioned hyperfocus and fogwise, I personally think fogwise is just okay - once again useless with SWF since they get it for free and worse than kindred in solo - sure you know where the killer is but it does not matter because you are on the gen and you cannot tell this to the rest of the team and I only got value from hyperfocus when I dedicated my entire build to it (so stake out / tool box / built to last)
And people who mentioned off the record - sure OTR was buffed but DS was nerfed to the ground - and both perks don't even work end game
Basically what I was trying to say I feel like after the deserved nerfs survivor meta received we should at least get some new decent and reliable non niche perks to compensate for it other than buffed OTR
-
I do not blame the players, people want to win, but the fact devs allowed this to happen with having those perks synergize so well and being that powerful is a problem
Survivors should be heavily punished if they 3 gen but if the gens are too close from the start and killer is just going around destroying resources around the area while no one is going down it becomes a chore to play because the killer force this from the start and there's no counter play due to gen regressing/kicking perks just working too well, like I mean do devs want killers to play the game like that? Just going around 3 gens ignoring survivors until eventually match ends
If so I am scared what future killers/perks we will get
-
I do not run it as a survivor and have not cared about it since it's nerf, I love Sprint Burst and it has been my go to for months now
When it comes to the killer side of end as Nurse it's annoying but not that annoying, I am still a Nurse and can catch up pretty fast
For me the biggest struggle has been going against it as a Demo, I just love to go for shred plays and I always get countered by DH
-
@jesterkind said:
I'm not so sure this argument works anymore, considering the two most recent releases gave us Fogwise and Hyperfocus, two incredibly good perks that may even be overtuned. In terms of just "above average", there's also Wiretap and Parental Guidance, and if we go back a little further we get Overcome, which is one of the best Exhaustion perks.
Killer perks have been a little more consistently useful, I'll grant you that - though Wesker's were underwhelming - but I don't think the divide is that stark. If it were, though, there'd still be a good reason- if the last perk that you think affected the meta was release Circle of Healing, then clearly they can't add meta-changing perks, because they'd be completely busted.
Survivors are getting good new perks to play around with, though. Slightly fewer of them than killers, sure, but even killers aren't getting 100% bangers. For every Dissolution, there's also a Septic Touch, for example.
yeah my mistake I did completely forget about hyperfocus, however outside of that I do think none of the other perks between it and Coh are worth using unless you are dedicating an entire build that may or may not work, we can talk about how useful or not they are but I really rately see someone using anything but older perks with maybe some new perk thrown in, it's really not consitent as it is on the killer end where you most of the time see at least 1-2 perks that are recent.
Like maybe I am wrong but I am just basing this on my experience, I know we have users here who have spreadsheets about their matches and if anyone can jump in to post some stats it would be useful.
I really want to run some new perks but I also do not want to feel like I am handicaping myself (esp since I play solo) when not running kindred or stuff like that
-
yeah I understand people want to win but this strat actually being abused seems like someone told DBD players they will get financial compensation if they 4k
-
Blame the game not the player
Devs are the one who have responsibility towards their players to balance everything
I personally enjoy going against Blight his power is super interactive and fun to dodge but I also think it's bs how him and couple of other killers are miles above rest of the cast, for example I love playing Ghostie but what am I going to achieve on erye against 4 good loopers? While Blight can clear them at 3-4 gens
Sadly at this point when you combine strong killers, weak killers,, 4 man swf and solo q maps perks items an add onns it becomes clear that balancing this game so everyone can be happy is maybe not even possible
-
The best advice I can give to counter hardcore tunneling as a solo player is to run both sprint burst and off the record, sb gives you the boost needed to get away and avoid getting hit off the hook and otr gives you enough time to try and loop killer one more time since if you were the one getting chased only you know which pallets were already used and you still have otr hit and the the second hit which will down you, if the rest of the team is smart the can pop 2-3 gens and the game can still be won, it of course depends on your skill level but if you are not good at looping this kinda of pressure can force you to improve
dc-ing is just giving the killer even easier way to win
-
Marking people is a struggle for me if I get a ######### map but I will throw games to get it
-
I think about this a lot and I think this is rooted in one of the biggest problem this game has maybe even the biggest - new player retention
So new survivors are always losing in the first dare I say at least 20-30 hours in the game, which may sound like nothing to people here like me with at least 2-3k hours but its actually a lenght of an average full single player game, like people who are new won't get attached and will just get frustrated and give up
For killer it's super easy at the beginning but then it puts you against 4 man sweaty squads really quickly after you are done stomping babies and you start to lose and losing as killer feels awful and way worse than survivor
and all of this is without even mentioning perks, huge grind, bunch of maps, strats, killer powers everything that a new player has to learn
and all of this ties to what you wrote - the game was supossed to be chill and hide and seek fun horror experience but all people who are left are mostly people who are veterans and know the game inside out and the since everyone knows how to play everyone plays the best they can and the game turns into this tryhard mess
fellow Nurse mains going for some streaks with starstruck and midwitch offering against solos and 4 man squads bringing bnps and insta heals and maps offering against m1 killers while in reality this game was never meant to be that, that's why when it first started we had insta repair gens insta moris and etc.
balance did not exist because it was supossed to be goofy little game, but now we are in this strange limbo where Bhvr tries to appeal to the new players but also tries to balance perks and everything for "high level" and it looks super messy and no one is actually happy

In 10 Games i get around 2-3 Hook Sabo plays.
Coordination? Alexis Toolbox gives you a guaranteed sabo even if the killer hits you. no Counterplay possible. What kind of coordination is required here?
Even Flashlight saves have been made so incredibly easy that there is no Coordination required...
OtR: Oh well the perk, that doesnt require any active doing from survivors besides equipping it (which is hard, i get it...) is terminated in endgame? Oh how ######### unfair if it carried you through the fkn game bcs otherwise you wouldnt have reached endgame... Oh and you dont get the speedbuff of BT when OtR is equipped? really? Check your facts! What the heck do you want? Endurance stacking like on PTB? Where survs could have 4-5 Health States? Are you really trying to justify that? Just open up a forum post requesting an AutoWin Button bcs the killer dared to look at you... Thats just a joke rn...
BT-Still gives you distance. For what? A skillcheck. You complain about a perk, that takes effort to consecutively apply on all gens, yet all the perks you mention as "nerfed" still work and require little to no effort and still provide massive value... Double Standard!
Survivors are not "OP". I never said that.
I said, the Game is heavily survivor sided. That is a HUGE difference! The more stuff you write, the more I understand that you dont get this difference, which makes any Balance discussion with you obsolete...
Your thread is crying about a perk that is carrying killers, while the other side has tons of perks carrying. It is about balance. You cannot strip one side of all their possibilities to play efficiently while the other side gets handhold and pampered all the time. Its about balance. But again, following your argumentation, you lack the game knowledge to understand.
I wrote a post about that. Again, you dont read, you dont understand. This is going nowhere...
Yeah it's going absolutely nowhere because you keep bringing up stuff that you don't know anything about when it comes to actual survivor experience in your average solo q matches and talking about some perfect scenarios that survivors have which mostly never happens with solo q plays and keep ignoring the simple fact that eruption is unfair against solo players and is way overpowered in crucial scenarios when it changes the outcome of the match (which in my games happens too many times to simply agree that this perk is balanced lmao and you yourself probably never experienced or you would actually know what I am talking about)
You are also talking about survivor advantages as if we are not living in post survivor meta nerf patch and the game is SWF sided since they get a bunch of perks for free, but regular survivor games are not like that at all, you are the one lacking game knowledge and just want to spew your nonsense about survivor advantages and some perfect situations that are exceptions not rules,
I mean even with skewed stats that devs are showing without dcs and with SWF included survivors escape far less than killers win which tells you all about how ''survivor-sided the game is'', your entire mentality, and the way you are talking about survivors just screams SWF op!!! just dismissing the fact that your average solo q match against a killer of the same skill is mostly a slaughter fest simply because lack of coordination and based on the current state of the game, changing eruption would improve the game at least a little for the weakest role in the game since expecting devs to help solo q after years and re-balance the game again after they just did and forced this entire new stupid meta is a stretch, but changing some numbers on one perk that is now the highest picked killer perk and has received complaints from the community about how unfair it is due to its effect and lack of counterplay really is not that far out there when it comes to complaints about the game.
the point is I think Eruption is unfair against solo q players and carries the killer to wins that would be either impossible or much harder to achieve against solo q players who played well up until that point and that its effect is way too good in a situation where it matters the most while easily countered by comms and that perk should be changed / nerfed to something that can give the killer advantage against both swf and solos when getting a down but not in the same vein as it currently does against solos only thus not being properly balanced at all.
If you think that something that is oppressive against the weakest role in the game and borderline minor inconvenience against the strongest role in the game is properly balanced and should not be looked into, I really do not know what to tell you anymore

Oh really? you wanna talk about hook sabos that make ppl not hookable if executed right bcs their wiggle status is not regressing anymore? Basically making them Immune?
You wanna talk about OtR which gives you undetectability from EVERY aura reading perk/addon in the game, makes you non hearable in close proximity AND gives you endurance for 80 FKN SECONDS? and all that for LOSING a chase? Thats not even an achievement...
You want to talkt about one of the strongest perks in Surv Meta, Borrowed Time, which got Enhanced AND gave to all Survivors for free?
Shall we continue down the list of perks that can Change the outcome of the game in survivors favour by simply having them? no skill involved?
At this point, Its really hard for me to take you serious...
Again, for the third time, I NEVER said to nerf SWF... NEVER... are you even reading and understanding what Im typing?
There are several ways of outplaying Erruption in Solos as I mentioned. But you dont aknowledge that as it is not easy enough. It takes practice and game knowledge but you dont want to get better...
Hook sabos? Who is doing hook sabois in solo q? Like it happens once in 100 matches, it's mostly for throwing game and for it to work it requires COORDINATION
OTR - the perk that was nerfed to not work end game (when you actually need it the most and the perk that does not stack with BT / endurance so if the killer wants to tunnel you OTR won't do ######### lmao - this is actually clear indicator you have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to survivor side of things
BT is not even used anymore and if the killer wants to tunnel you they will, DS nerf made sure of that, yes it was step in the right direction to not get downed when unhooked, but if you think it helped people not to get camp and tunneled at 5 gens it did not ( I am not even saying this as a negative or a positive, the killer can play how they want but this is a fact)
And once again none of this has anything to do with what this thread is about, you are purposely throwing us vs them arguments about how ''OP Survivors are'' and listing some other things in the game which have nothing to with the thread
What are the ways to outplay Eruption without comms?
-
Perks can carry the killer just as much they can carry the survivors, it's the nature of this game, so the only way to fix it is to discuss the problematic stuff on both ends and changes that should happen to make the game as fair as possible
Why do you think the devs nerfed the survivor meta? Perks are playing the huge role in this game.
The reason people are more focused on discussing the killer side of things now is that survivors are nerfed and now we have a new killer meta that has been out for couple of months and people have been trying to point out problems and things they find unbalanced, just like how people on the other end discussed stuff like dead hard, DS, COH and etc.

Your Title literally complains about a Killer perk that "carries" them through games.
You cannot complain about ONE Killer Perk that carries while the other Side has COUNTLESS Perks carrying them, for years!
You want easier games! Just admit it at this point...
exactly one killer perk should not be able to have this much impact on the match, just like how one survivor perk should not be able to (so old dead hard, old ds etc)
I do think Eruption carries the match and changes the outcome way too many times, hence the need to make this thread and discuss it with other people.
As far as I am aware all crutch perks have been nerfed and changed on the survivor end, people only got better with using new DH I guess, the survivor meta does not exist anymore that is consistent and reliable like the combo of ds/dh/unbreakable/iron will was
SWF being able to abuse the game and rig it in their favour is a problem but I am not really sure how does nerfing them exactly solves the solo q problem I am discussing here so your constant mention of swf is really confusing me
I do not want easier games, I actually have no problem facing Blights and Nurses (literally made a thread about it), my only problem is this oppressive perk making games super frustrating and feeling like I am constantly being robbed of my time with nothing I can do about it aside from playing with other people on coms

Ask Killers how often they play hex builds and survs spawn immediately near their hexes, without ANY chance of the killer to defend them.
Is that fair or fun? certainly not! Is your situation fun? ofc not. But its RNG sometimes its in your favour, sometimes its not.
Most of the time it is in Favour of survs. Simply by the fact most bad RNG doesnt even affect survs that much.
Multiple generators spawning to close is literally the only one that is really affecting.
Use the new energy perk of vittorio. Pump it up at the second to last gen and release it in the 3gen, it really isnt that difficult.
I literally have no problems with any other killer perk even as a solo q player, my frustration only lies with Eruption because it is way overturned and the game does not give you any help to deal with it, I am literally talking about Eruption only, I am not really sure how many times I have to explain this. I also literally wrote that even if Eruption is not changed solo q players need something to deal with it then, coms / ping system anything - the only point of my thread is for the devs to realize that the weakest role in the game needs help and not to get kicked while down whit this perk (highest picked killer perk atm)
What bigger picture are you referring to? That lack of solo q help is miserable and made even more miserable because of lack of coms by this perk or the fact that SWF are not touched by this perk at all? Like I do not understand why you constantly bring this entire attitude of survivor mains = bad when my point is to discuss this one perk and nothing else, like the devs changed stuff, escape rates are now in killer's favour when counting swf as well, is it maybe time now to look at solo q and make sure opressive perks like these do not go live now that we helped killers?
I meant most of in this thread - it's a fact.
What other killer perks I asked to be nerfed ? lmao
Because you losing one match against a good swf is literally one time thing that clearly does not help your judgment when it comes to the actual situation of the game - where the majority of solo q players are frustrated and think this perk is bs because of lack of counterplay

let's say nurse runs agitation starstruck and then bbq and floods of rage so she can see people both when outside her terror radius and inside if she is coming back to the hook and the person gets unhooked
when she picks up the survivor all you have to do is just hold W and run away, even if she sees you on BBQ you should have enough time to outlast starstruck by the time she blinks to you for distance and you can outlast at least one 2 blinks attack by using cover (since by holding w you should basically go to somewhere on the map that is not an open area and hide). If someone else is doing the unhooking she will then see you with floods but at that point starstruck will wear off
In case your teammates were dumb enough to unhook immediately (since they were lo also affected by starstruck if they were close enough to the hook) you are all losing the game regardless since Nurse is the most powerful killer (someone has to be) and will capitalize on these basic survivor mistakes far better than everyone else, but that's not a Nurse problem anymore

I do feel bad but I feel like I am doing them disservice because by losing they are mostly likely to face less experienced player

I don't know what you want the killer to do. Just let the gens go? 3-gens don't even in happen in the way y'all describe it most of the time. "They just never leave that area ever." Then they're not getting downs, or the survivor is foolishly going down there when they know it's gonna be their 3-gen. And if the killer has 4 survivors still alive, what good is a 3-gen?
Killers are just desperate at this point for ways to win, man.

Killer is easy mode. Stack four slowdowns + have a slight amount of competence and you will win 90% of your games at least. You don't even need to take my word for it. One can just turn on any streamer who mains killer if they need proof that you can win this much. The game is a joke for killer at the moment. Only the sweatiest SWFs are a threat at this point. If you lose to solos frequently then you are just bad at the game.
For survivor it's much worse. It's just getting hit in the face with one slowdown perk after another. The game also devolves into this weird back and forth at the end where the killer just runs around kicking every gen and tries to drag the match out for as long as possible since the new gen regression meta has almost no requirements to activate. It creates this long late game standoff and slows the game down to a crawl. It's incredibly boring at best. The part that feels bad is that I lose games to bad killers that never would have been beaten me before solely because they stacked four slowdowns. I've lost count of how many games i've lost just because of eruption locking me out for 25 seconds numerous times over the course of a match. People who think the old meta was stronger are insane. Pop at least required you to down someone, hook them, and then go to the gen and kick it. Ruin could be entirely cleansed out of the match. There is no risk or effort involved in the current meta. Spending 2.5 secs to kick a gen isn't a risk when it gives you the insane amount of value that the call of brine/eruption combo gives.
The way you described the sad state to a t perfectly, can't wait to see how people here will gaslight you lol
as much as this forum hates the Nurse, at least the Nurse will finish the match in 5 minutes with starstruck and because they actually know how to use their power and not kick gens

bbbbut SWF!!!??? - literally 80% of the survivor player base are solo q players

Adrenaline and Hope are stupidly reliable now, since it's a given that the gens are gonna get done with any efficient team. Just because survivor perks were nerfed doesn't mean they're not good. You can control 3-gens in solo. Brains are not exclusive to SWF.
why are you even talking about those perks omg, sure it's a good combo but literally irrelevant to the discussion
Also sure 3 gen can be controlled in solo if you say so, the problem is not even 3 gen the problem is this perk and its lack fo counter for solo q players (please let me remind you that in the gen kicking meta chances are killer will at that point of the match kick all the gens regardless when there are since there are few left to kick)
Also, lets remember that we are in solo, you are at 90% of the gen, someone is running the killer straight to you because they do not know you are there and then killer stops kicks it and what then? Just leave the gen forever? Don't you understand how stupid that is, even if we take other gen kicking perks out of the equation
the struggle and defecltion to admit solo q players are literally getting ######### on because of this perk and only them and that it's change / nerf would truly help the weakest role in the game that is also the majority is truly sad
these people are not even satisfied with their 95% win against solo q players they want their 100% win rate 😂

Bcs this is an asymmetrical game and you cannot compare one side to the other the same way. bcs they dont play the same. they dont even have the same objectives...
Everytime to talk about balance of killers (perks/addons/abilities) you HAVE TO take SWF into account. EVERY FKN TIME!
If Erruption would be uncounterable, it would mean an automatic win, everytime you play it. Which is not the case!
Old Dead Hard was uncounterable. Bcs it always gave the surv a benefit no matter how the situation played out...
You never played as a killer against 4 competetent solo survs right? You point out SoloQ as if it is unplayable and unwinnable in every scenario. If all 4 Players know how the game works and know what to do, they are equally as dangerous and effective as SWF...
Just bcs most of the casual SoloQ Survivors are bad at the game and give up on first down or any other minor inconvenience that keeps them away from holding m1 for 90 sec. You dont have to balance the game around them.
Bcs this makes the game literally unfun and unplayable for anyone that got basic understanding of it...
please stop quoting me with your deflections, I am not here to talk about dead hard, SWF or differences between sides
I am talking about solo q, the mode me and most of the other players base plays, SWF has been broken against most killers since the game started and it's a completely different topic that I really do not care to discuss in this thread
This is a pure fact = you cannot tell when your teammate will go down in solo q because there's no way to, bond/empathy will not tell you this
This is the opinion that most of us share - because of the mentioned fact eruption makes the game for solo q players unfair and oppressive because the punishment it gives in close matches is way too big and titles the side way too much in killer favor when otherwise it would not without anything that can be done against it
(once again before you deflect I am not talking about bad teammates that will go down even if the killer is perkless)
your clear PTSD of losing 1 match a month against a good swf and projecting this on refusing to understand why solo q survivor role sucks while probably stomping on those same solo q players all the time really does not interest me
all of this while I mentioned pages ago that Eruption against SWF is useless so SWF was not even taken into consideration when this perk was changed obviously lmao

yeah it's really bad, I do not blame the killers who want to win, but the way old meta was destroyed so an even worse meta can take its place is actually hilarious and shows they just do not know what do to with this game at this point
