Before I do, I need to know if you and the poster above you actually read my entire explanation, as this is not a judgement of how hard it is to literally play any of these killers. It is a judgement of how hard it is to master them and bring them into a competitive level of play.
Consider this way of looking at this tier list. This is how hard these killers would be to play, if the person playing each and every one of them, had a minimum of 1000 hours spent playing that particular killer.
Another way to clarify this is to say that if a person played a REALLY GOOD BUBBA or REALLY GOOD TRAPPER, this tier list shows the level of difficulty in "getting to that point of skill with that killer".
First, yes we (shared account before you ask) read the entire post (twice each).
Second, with the consideration of the above post, we're still EXTREMELY confused as to a lot of the placement logic.
-
We actually like the game.
We generally disregard the toxicity and have fun hunting our prey like a slasher flick. Tastes all the better killing the one trying to annoy us all game and FAILED their team by being a ###.
We enjoy shenanigans we can do as survivor and try outwitting or outplaying the hunter or seeing how the hunter turns it around and outplayed us.
It's consistent enough to know what to expect in general while chaotic enough to often be entertaining.

My favorite solution would be a general perk called "Just Leave!" - lingering inside the exit area for longer then 10s will shut Blood Warden the exit gate and expose the survivor, till they move 36m away from the exit gates.
I would equip this perk on the first slot of every killer and never take it off ever again.
If we cause enough of a riot can we get this base kit?
-
He may have the worst kill rate according to the site but:
- He's not a pick up and go killer. Not everyone wants to learn a difficult but awesome power.
- Skill floor is stupid high for the reward and ceiling is too. Maybe not bleet or even nurse lvls but pretty close to the later.
- Despite being difficult but awesome, his power is relatively easy to counter by a team with some braincells. 1 survivor can cause a lot of grief. All 4 can cause a headache.
- There are those who try to learn him, then fail, then stop trying
- We don't know whats being taken into account for the stats.
- Etc etc
-
While killers have it easier than in the past, it's not a cake walk unless survivors make it one.
-
We respect your opinions but we gotta ask how the hell you made this tier list?

Nothing, there will always be people who queue for casual, and then play in a very sweaty way. But there are also people who seek a competitive experience, and don't want to be matched against casuals. Like all those streamers going for win-streaks. If these people queued for ranked, it would contribute to make the casual queue less sweaty, at least a little.
Let me give you an example. Yesterday I tried a new killer. But for some reason my MMR is super low and I'm getting matched against babies (I don't know why maybe because I bought the killer a long time ago). I've played 10 matches, all stomps at 5 gens. This is not fun for the survivors or for me: I want to play sweaty against other sweaty players, and they want to play non-sweaty against non-sweaty killers. Yet, neither of us can do anything about it except play the match until MMR adjusts. If there was a ranked queue, I could at least speed-up the process.
So only the super competitive ones get the benefit. As a flip side, what's stopping casuals or toxics from joining competitive mode? If nothing else just to spite ppl.
-
We're kinda confused at the points so apologies if we're going off the mark.
Everyone has their own definition of "winning" here. Some see nothing less than a 4k as a win while others are happy at 8 hooks and 4E. There's no practical way to change everyone's mind to unite.
What we're seeing is you'd want something to happen during the trial thats based on what/how the killer did? Cause that would be a awesome idea but not really sure how that changes what a "win" is with people.
Your also lumping survivor experiences together. For our group atleast it's hard to find a genuine thrill as survivor due to 80ish% of killers running the same thing (or same thing for that specific killer in demo doggo) and those rare ones that don't have a high chance of camping or tunneling at the start for zipp reason.
Your definitely not alone in thinking both sides should have fun, but at this point, many are convinced the only way to have fun is a decisive win.
Our vote is to have fun each match and bend hell to get it. Others don't seem to like that.
-
Fair? Yes, it is.
Once heard it was like button mashing on a fighting game and we think it's an accurate description. Easy to do, can nab a "win", shows what kind of player they are. Tunneling has some needs (and stupid plays must be punished) but the problem (to us atleast) is everyone defaults to it even when it's not needed. It's lose a gen and "ohh no I'm being gen rushed I need to tunnel".

Ok, this is actually valid. Knowing this forum I expected something like "DH was around for X years, so Alchemist Ring should be around for the same time".
You have a point, but I would say that Add Ons are easier to nerf than Perks. Especially on such a strong Killer like Blight. You can basically make Alchemist Ring the worst Add On in the game and it would still keep Blight viable. When you nerf a Perk on the other hand, it can still be too strong, perfect or too weak, which has a bigger impact than one single Add On. (Even tho, Blight has a bunch of Add Ons which deserve Nerfs)
Depends on how they rework the add on. While number tweeks are [or should] be simple, alc ring does the whole thing of basically resetting the recharge as far as we can tell and isnt a simple number thing. Could go off on a tangent but we'd probably be goin off topic. Something more in line with the OP topic would be the anti-hemorrhagic syringe [frickin mouthful]. It took from until 3.3 [also years] for it to not be an instant healthy up.

And? What is your point?
My point is just because something should or shouldn't take long to rework, doesn't mean it isnt gona take long to rework. The example being DH.

Blight has been out for nearly 3 years at this point. Alchemist's Ring shouldn't take this long to rework.
Dh took years

Master defiantly isn't accurate for any of us but we became good enough to threaten the average swat with every killer and be a competent teammate as survivor, both sides with theme/gimmic builds, probably around the 3.5k mark (every new killer since that mark [sans Hux] has taken us about a week or less to "master" them to this bar). Currently enjoying the carnage and chaos with 4240 hrs.

It is still their choice at the end of the day. If a whining child constantly screams to get its way and the parents give in. Who's fault is that? The parents of course. Simple. Anyone blaming the community is sorely mistaken. Blame the parents. Common sense. The parents are the gateway to the problem.
The "parents" in this scenario created something for others to enjoy. The "children" are whining and causing trouble and will keep causing trouble regardless despite the fact that the thing they're whining about wouldn't exist without the parents. It would be more accurate to say that strangers are whining to the parents about their child for petty reasons. Blaming the parents seems to us like the easy (and false) way out.

I mean, there is losing and there is losing. Having nail-biting chase everyone all over the map with everyone on deathhook, but then they all escape game is one thing, but having 5 "3 gens pop after he first chase, in which you did nothing wrong and even won the last mindgame" games in a row, because that somehow became the norm, will leave you with a much smaller sense of satisfaction, despite the loss.
And now survivors are calling Leathal Pursuer op, because its used a lot, in order to turn that early game loss around.
Both sides are kinda backed against the wall from the start, because they know that they need to play this right or get humiliated. Sure, playing chill can still be done, but you will hardly ever drop down enough in MMR that you start having fun, again that way regularly. The casual game is dead and, let's pull some numbers out of my nose, some 75-85% of peeps now play efficient as a default mode and kinda sweat, so that's the expected route for every match nowadays.
Maybe it's just us but those types of games don't affect us. Especially since we only care about the doors and not a lick about what random people think. We generally throw chaos in the match because we look to entertain ourselves and generally it works.
As for lethal.... again that's just the players whining. It's not the games fault or devs for players saying this or that. They are the source of the problem (which is turning the game into a sweat fest)
We're kinda split on this last one. We agree that probably that number play "efficient" (even if we somehow get the last 25%) but you can be both efficient and casual (especially as survivor). We're unsure what"kinda sweat" entail but we're assuming your measure and ours are different so we're leaving that as is. We disagree that everyone is backed to a wall looking at everything through paranoid eyes.
-
Abit of stealth, Abit of tracking, Abit of chase all thrown in a blender then add a neat special ability for spice.
-
While we'd be disappointed, as long as it feels like the xenomorph, we'd be happy enough.

But Pulsar has a point. Because of the way the MMR system is designed and how the meta forced both sides over the last year to play as efficient as posible, OR ELSE, we optimised the fun out of this game in one year faster and more thoroughly then ever before. The MMR system was the beginning, adaptation to needed changed like 6.1 and regression nerfs the current conclusion. Without any systems in place to allow the losing side to catch up, the more efficient side will always win, and after losing a couple of times in a row, both sides chill players omight turn sweat lords. I know that I did.
While we could debate the first part (the or else part specifically), the players turning sweat lord's is again, on the players. We can have fun with a loss as long as it's an interesting loss, and I HAVE recently too. It's the people wanting a boring win no matter what, and sweating to get it, than risk an loss for a interesting win.
-
Wouldn't jump off the deep end just yet. Lately I have seen causal players (or more accurately an newish person play causally while I watch and laugh at what they do) while myself can enjoy either role for the most part and im probably not super high on the totem pole. Honestly the only thing really hurting the game is how people tend to play. Sweating to fill a pool to being needlessly an ***, none of that is particularly the devs/game's fault.
We do agree though that it should change. Why try and be uber competitive in a party game? Its stupid.
-
The smarter you play, the more people hate you for it.
-
We just find it fun. Sure sometimes we get wana be bully swfs but the majority of games as killer are entertaining to us. We also have fun as survivor by outplaying the killer and various shenanigans we do. We just enjoy the gameplay and its just random enough that it doesn't get stale [barring how we can predict what every killer is running] (or unless we burn ourselves out on purpose).
-
We're surprisingly still around since 2017. This is our default game and will stay that way till we get bored.
-
To answer the question, yes, people will complain about anything.

Prestige =/= Skill. I have a clip of Meg taking the absolute worst pathing I've ever seen anyone take and feeding me the first down 30s into the match. I'd post it but I don't know how to censor names in a video.

The point is evidently to demonstrate what most killers mains have to go up against, and the reasons why you run into so many strong killers (that people are always whining about). If survivors don't want to play against a strong killer every game, they need to stop bringing stuff like this to every match. The only reason I won that game is because I'm a 6k hour killer and they were all trash at the game, hoping to get carried by the map and their items.
Our matches are similar, yet we play everyone from hag to wraith and do just as well as your posted picture. People playing the listed killers doesn't really have to do with the items brought (atleast in our opinion).
Side note, for that point, you probably could a used a pick of 4 green boxes with add ons instead of a 50/50 split.
-
Because some rift quests require you to play survivor.

Made for this has been around for 51 days, so roughly half of this data. Even still, newer perks tend to be used more frequently on release and then die down a bit. The fact that it's not even at #10 tells me that the pick rate is much lower than is being claimed.
Not sure if we'd go that far as we see it atleast 4 times per 4 games (rough ball park and small samples but still). We figure people try it once and figured out it wasn't as broken as billed then switched back.
-
Us personally? Whatever will make the most outrage.
On a semi serious note, play whoever you want, all we personally ask is you don't be a **** while playing. People will complain about everything here, so you need to find something that YOU enjoy, not necessarily THEM.

I am really so happy BHVR did not listen these complains and killed unpopular perk. MfT is fun perk but it's far away being op. And obviously it's not meta as well.
Shhh don't jinx it
-
That's actually hilarious it's not in the 10 XD
-
We like her and she's currently our favorite. She's fine as is (though I would like to have useful iri add ons) and we're praying that the devs don't touch her.
She's probably not loved as much because most who try her do the "place at loop and repeat" option without trying anything else and survivors mostly face that.
-
Top pick is probably the knight as it's just violence for the sake of violence. Dredge is made of evil (for intents and purposes) and can be excused, merchant is copying a fantasy and sport, doc is at least learning. Clown is second as it's pretty much a similar thing.
-
We're confused as to the point being made....
-
We play everyone sans nurse, though our top picks are Artist, Pyramidhead, and Ghost face.
-
As long as we dont get the same killer (or same build/playstyle) multiple times in a row, we generally enjoy everyone (though I have a personal dislike of the saw brothers).
-
Honestly, we'd just settle for quicker t1 to t2. He's kinda fine sans the tombstone piece. If we could go the crazy route, make it so he never runs outa juice from survivors.
-
We pick the option that players are just babies about things not being perfect for them, but thats us.
-
Chill for you is different than chill for me and thats different from chill from everyone else. 90% of swfs don't go out of their way to bully players and while "chill" may not be the perfect word, most (personally ball parking around 75% ish) are just casually playing with friends (yes we said friends ) trying to either have a normal match or do rift/achievements/dailies.
Also, if your not having fun as killer, you can stop playing the killer role or dbd in general. Why you would purposefully put yourself through unnecessary misery is beyond us.
-
You'd be surprised by how the vedicitive little ****s can be. Tbagging and clicky clicks decently often....
-
...by chance what server are you on as we've been getting similar and getting the DC penalty?
-
That would probably be the salt.
To answer the question tunneling isn't weak, but its....lame? Unfun? Idk the proper word to convey the "ugg" feeling. It also has a couple of downsides that can really bite you. All that said, your response "if I see a potential kill or a potential hook, I'm gonna go for the kill" makes 100% sense to anyone who actually plays killer. Only reason not to try and kill them is to be nice.
-
Theres no set in stone tactic, it depends on the situation or what you want. If theres other survivors who are much easier, go kill them and see if the good/smart one is a team player and try to take hits or a down. If they're not falling for mind games but are effectively stuck there we brute force it. If theres only 1 other 1 and you really want em, slug the other and now you got alot of time to try at that specific one. We generally prefer brute force, but if that survivor is at a super safe area and will take alot of time we go after the others so theres less resources and less pressure on gens. We advocate this action.
-
Its nice to see others finally playing SM different than the typical. Cheers to hoping others learn to play her different as well.
-
Steam (with controller) and yes crossplay is on because why would we turn it off?

- fact is the maps are survivor sided
- (3) I present to you, made for this in its peak form : deadbydaylight (reddit.com) - MFT is not a problem transforming strong loop into infinite but it is ok right ?
- Smash hit is a problem now that you can pair it with other perks to get a 20 seconds reload time
- BNP is a buff, learn the game's mechanics
- Coldwin Rework bring nothing to the table, it actually favor survivors now as devs removed the dead zone that favored the killers, you clearly do not know how the game works
- Which buffs ?
- Sadako will be tanked next tuesday
- Hag - okay
On all the points you have made, you succeeded to be wrong on 80% of them...
- Fact is Toba isn't as survivor sided as claimed. It has only so much on about half with the other being in the killers favor.
- That trickster kept getting caught on the hay bails. As that was also a trickster also trying to m1 with bouncing blades, I feel the title is misleading.
- Smash hit is not a problem as it still causes exhaustion, you need to HIT with that pallet, and make sure you don't run to a deadzone. It's literally as deadly as before but now is more enticing to run.
- I've not paid attention to BNP changes so no comment
- Pop and Trail come first to mind. Look for the rest.
- She still got reworked though enough for ppl to whine a lot.
How'd I do? I think I was accurate.
-
We might be the weird ones here but aside from the chain of pain loop, we kinda like it.
-
We really like how your only throwing survivor stuff~
We didn't get Wesker, immunity to lightburn, buff to pop, or other things. Nope. Totally.
-
It depends on a bunch of factors like how skilled the plague is, what add on and perks are being run, map, etc. Sometimes it really is better to clean up while others it's a horrible idea to never cleanse.

CoH is not beneficial, it was nuked from orbit, to the point survivors don't see it as beneficial. It's currently sitting at 1.8% usage and you can see that's it's still dropping in usage.
In fairness, CoH is only "nuked" from the pain in the bum it was previously. It's still useful if people need a reset but the fact is most want things that are self reliant.
-
We can't speak for all killers but survivors since Cage came out have been acting stupid (plot twist in front of us...goes as well as you'd expect) or selfish (unhook near us and leave your teammates out for death). We tend to go after the easiest prey and people are making it easier.
