"Oh people are sick of killers so let's cheat." Pathetic excuse.
I'm not saying its an excuse, I'm saying it might be a motivation behind it, it's bad and it shouldn't be done regardless of the motivation.

Could always equip lightborn so you can RP Xenomorph I suppose.

There is enough amount of killer cheaters and survivor cheaters, tying it to either side seems weird
Sorry I havn't experienced cheaters when I play against killers yet is what I mean, only experienced it on survivor
SO I'm just talking from what I've seen so far with some personal venting LOL -
I think lasting as long as the hex was active would be utterly overkill personally, maybe bringing the hit activation down to 6 or 4, so it can get more play in a match but reduce the duration of the hindered possibly in the price of being able to be lit multiple times perhaps.

It's not what it was because of what jp said. I miss pre crossplay dbd on console too, it was more chill. Ik it's not the only reason because dbd changed but still.
Yeah I hope one day they find a way to make it work buuut I'm not holding my breathe…

People are probably sick of Blight and Nurse and Kaneki etc. Not that it's justifiable but the game is a balance nightmare rn
Like did you know the killer can spam a button to lag the fps to negate saves when picking up a survivor? Stuff like that which should have been fixed an age ago. Tired… -

Let's be real, a thing should have a counter, especially when it's so severe as saving
This thing cannot be strong because of fundamental design
I'm more confused why the blinding angle only applies to flashbangs and only while saving, it shouldn't punish other uses for it.

Invisible Nemmy Zombies is also still in the wild since the start of this chapter

The only current QoL I can think of is showing hook aura's in orange if they are in area's that have unfinished gens.
Like, the amount of killers that rely so much on genregression perks to win games because they dont know how to use hooks is insane. I have been next to basement a few times, and killers go out of their way to not hook inside the basement because it saves them 4 seconds of time.
In contrast to that, survivors are kinda forced to heal up before rescuing from basement, where they can be injured in any other case. So just the act of hanging someone in basement forces survivors to heal up or otherwise its a hooktrade at best.
Just things like that could be a QoL by making basement hooks ALWAYS orange, and hooks next to unfinished gens also orange (because survivors wont be working on that gen as long as someone is hooked there).Oh I love this, like a killers Deja vu!

They also need dealt with tbf lol they just get ignored because we are forced to accept they exist at this point.

I agree with you overall, but it is worth pointing out that Shattered Hope is not the necessary counter to boons that should be basekit. It's an effect that isn't necessary and the perk should just do something else, no basekit involved.
Boons don't work in a way where breaking them on snuff makes sense. Their counterplay is baked in to the basekit.
This of course doesn't apply to things like tunnelling, in those cases you are correct and I agree.
I have to agree with Jester here regarding boons, Survivors have to contribute a lot of time to keep putting them up which is a lot of time wasted compared to the second I spend ridding of it, I'd rather survivors bring boons than other perks because of this. lol
As for the rest I wholeheartedly agree, much like Borrowed time, I do sometimes wonder what QoL Killer could recieve of the same kind sometimes:
-BBQ? (to keep match momentum and incentivise leaving the hook, could be on first time hook for each survivor but the perk extends the effect and works on every hook)
-Monstrous shrine?
-Pain res to incentivise spreading hooks?
I'm not saying these SHOULD be added bare in mind, I'm just brainstorming possible QoL to encourage killers to play in a more fairer way but also reward them -
I think it's a cool exhaustion that encourages a unique playstyle, it's a big risk to take if they arent on gens. Might I recommend blood favour, forced hesitation, Genetic limits, Lightborn, Enduring, infectious fright among probably others that might help you deal with altruism more easily?
Honestly as a killer player I want more altruism, as it means gens aren't being pounded.
Not to mention I believe that anti-slug at most will be like the 2v8 equivalent, which doesn't stop short-term slugging, like a 2 min cd essentially, you'll be fine to slug in that situation still. It's still pressure. -
I feel a higher tick rate or the like would go a really long way too… sometimes it feels like I'm playing a ps2 era online game

Friend, I get what you're saying here… but did you consider that maybe being blinded a whole bunch of the round isn't a fun interaction for the Killer?
How about you read when I say I was laughing at her having Lightborn coz she was so confident and I think it could be back to being slowed down, not it SHOULD be.
If anything what killer needs is a dark mode for being blinded so you aren't straining your eyes at it, I play killer and this is what I'd prefer personally.
How about you consider people don't like having the item they earned nullified, it's the same as having your killer power made useless by a flashlight… I wonder when we removed that hmmm, maybe stopping a player from enjoying their gameplan is lame hmmmm.
But no flashlights are intended for blinding, as are flashbangs. There is a way to please both sides in this interaction, I feel a dark mode would go a long way, or even let lightborn still get blinded but they see the blinders aura during it (so it can still be used to save others).
Killer mains not read what they want to read and percieve only challenge impossible. -

Thanks. What do think of it extending the undetectable duration of other perks and from killer powers? This would make it very useful on Sadako in specific and the later start of the chase music would be very helpful on some stealth killers.
It would give it a unique synergy for the likes of Stealth killers like Ghostface etc. I don't see it as an issue, actually kind of sounds exciting to make builds with. Like a Lethal Pursuer for undetectable.
-
Abandons should be losses, it's that simple. In no case is it ever a draw, your forfeiting the match
-
I'd love a 1v4 casual mode with classes, honestly I'd probably prefer it over main DBD if it happened.
So tired of some of the unhealthy perk combinations right now for both sides. -
I would love a longer duration on the undetectable, I think the 0.5 might be too quick to proc it but at the same time thats just what it sounds like on paper, maybe itd feel fine in game (if its too strong could try 1s or 1.5s).
Makes a fun mixup chase perk for killers who don't have stealth options.
I would love using this as unknown to pretend I'm an apparition, mid chase -
This is still happening, and IDK why it isn't killswitched yet since it's been bugged for so long.

My friend and I have gotten into the habit of abandoning when the option pops up because the end screen loads immediately instead of stalling, and so far the game never gives us the "server not responding, disconnected" error (which, even though the match is over, takes away all of our progress: BP, XP, Tome/Ritual progress) if we abandon instead of wait through the animation.
(I wish I could abandon the moment I get through the exit gate, too, because sometimes I've gotten the "server not responding" error when it's loading the end screen after an escape. I don't need to watch my escape animation, thanks, I'd rather have all my Bloodpoints and progress.)
Why is the abandon feature so much smoother than finishing the match? Any answers to that, BHVR?
Anyway, the problem isn't the abandon feature, it's BHVR's backwards handling of it. When the killer abandons because the survivors haven't done anything for 10 minutes (I've had this happen, I wasn't holding a 3-gen, in each case they just weren't doing anything), it should be a draw, the survivors die and get no escape points but the killer doesn't get a "no one escaped" bonus, either. And when the survivor abandons because the killer has won, the killer has won, it's a win for the killer and a loss for the survivor, give the Bloodpoints and MMR adjustments accordingly.
BHVR makes no sense with how they chose to handle this.
Edit: Did someone at BHVR downvote this because I asked why they can't code their game so it doesn't stall out and take away my Bloodpoints after a match is over? I'm going to go a step further and ask why it seems to do this when there are multiple BP offerings in play. Is the game unable to handle the extra math and so it kicks me instead?
I feel this is so true

Why would it kill the game? The response to Kaneki has been great, almost everyone is happy about his release and I haven't seen any complain worth acknowledging. Now we need even more Kaneki-esque killers to make it even better! There is only one way, and it's up!
People don't enjoy playing against him actually, the response has been awful. The only people defending him are those who are trying to gaslight the community because THEY enjoy playing easy mode.
So many of my casual friends have outright stopped playing DBD, didn't even bother playing during the 500 percent bonus.
I hope BHVR are paying attention, it's sad i can't just go "Hey lets go fool around on dbd and be silly"
I don't like playing victim simulator. I want to play SURVIVOR, not VICTIM. -
All I can say is I'm tired of going against him, with a bit of nurse and billy and now I ALSO have to deal with Kaneki too now.
I've been taking a break, I really hope they do something to help killer variety, I don't want to sweat out my gd mind every match to stand a chance. -

im dying to know what they'd do for him as I dint think his base kit could keep up in 2v8. I hope they don't give him a non UVX addon and call it a day.
I don't know if uvx cooldown or splash damage buff is the way to go. Longer stare cooldown maybe? Lower base terror radius?
the longer hinder, the reduced teleport recovery speed, the increased hallucination spawn rate would be enough honestly. having more people isnt gonna effect their base chase, infact they'd probably get a lot more apparitions because of the amount you can infect, and in RPD with shadow omg, it'd be so fun.
-
Hit validation is jank this patch, that much I can agree on.
Ghoul on the other hand I just don't agree that they are balanced, I do not enjoy playing against them. -
I really want Unknown in there too
-
This new abandon feature is going to murder my Survivor MMR even more (Make it stay in place when it should go down when I lose) I get abandons really often, but I stayed in the match until the end coz I thought that's the only way I got match exp (misunderstood match progress that pops up). I basically play against Blight/Nurse/Kaneki loads as it is, and in a lot of those matches they do slug.
I just want to enjoy this game casually but if the MMR system just isn't going to work fairly, I think at this point it needs to go, of course I don't know what my mmr is but if I lose or the killer wins, they should change score accordingly.
The abandon feature causes more problems in the long term, and now I feel reluctant to use it, not to mention if another survivor uses it in solo Q I'm probably also forced into a draw. What's the point of this?
As for @Mandy what you just said, I'm sorry, I just want to play the game casually and I keep getting S-Tiers, I may not know my numbers but I would very much like to enjoy the game again, but even if I lose often there is a "safety net" that stops you dropping quickly anyways, not that I'm throwing my matches but I've seen that mentioned.
Your MMR sounds like at this rate it's only going to climb people if they play often. Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds that way -
I'd like the silent breaks as its own perk I think, maybe it could be the empathic connection type where it can be stacked with brutal, but its a smaller increase with the silence?
-
Yeah this game needs a lot of love in the netcode/networking side of things, it'd really help how the game feels.
-
I think old movement would make facing S tiers more manageable, right now it's hard to like change movement against nurse because of it since changing direction slows you down.
silly -

BHVR doesn't seem to make many cosmetics for paid characters, compared to OC ones.
It's probably got something to do with license issues. Just taking a wild guess here, but I imagine it means they'd have to pay more royalties to the owner of the IP, if they made new cosmetics for the character. Donno.
that's unusual since she has had crossovers in many games of her unified and classic looks alongside DBD.
It seems to just be a DBD issue. -
Looking forward to playing as and against this, hopeful the addons give her multiple options for playstyle. Sounds like you'll be able to build around your power or your m1 so far (Tracking speeds her up).
It sounds complicated in concept but, when you're focusing on one roles perspective of it. I don't think it's that hard.
My guess is there wll be stealth addons, since stealth isn't mentioned here. -
it would be nice as a feature honestly, but first they need to give us better netcode/servers, I don't know what the tick rate is for them but I've heard it's really low for a multiplayer game.
-
I wonder why medkit tiers don't buff speed of self healing even by a little like the add on tiers for healing speed.
Makes finding a medkit much less exciting LOL -
I'd love alternative cosmetics for legendaries (bloody Claire) if owned, but it won't happen, one can dream.

Many other killers can do it if they try hard enough with the right set up.
I play Larry sometimes still. While he can be very strong he does have a very high skill floor to be good with. He also probably the most micro demanding killer in the game with all the bio-pods and cameras that eventually wears me out.
Fair.
I feel like the emp mechanic is a fun idea, I love it when I use bond and can help other survivors who run by me in chase, but without bond/information he is suffering to go against. Probably because how many times they can keep hatching on you, I feel like sometimes they'd be fairer if they could only do it once per sack.
I feel the QoL changes will go a long way against them (being tunneled by them when no one helps is awful), I also think the haste/hinder stacking also gets rid of the other issues I have against people who build that on them.. -
That's a shame if so, this perk really could use some help

im really scared for july. this game is feeling more linear instead of abstract using strategic and tactics.
soon i fear not able to play but forcing me in a way they want me to play.
survivors already use endurance from hook to bodyblock when im chasing someone.. why? if i go after him he has decisive and calls me tunneler ez killer in end game chat. then leaving a survivor on ground will be gone in july too?
what am i suppose to do anymore as killer now? Im so tired man
Play solo Q survivor then, if it's so easy, right?

Why on earth do I, who just solo's or duo's, have to play against comp wannabe's sweating their balls off on a p100 Blight or Nurse with run 4 slowdowns who camps or tunnels at 5 gens? It's absolutely infuriating playing a match out that's literally doomed to be an L from the get go.
I'm so sick to death of being forced to play out matches against these type of players. Like, if matchmaking actually worked they way you think it would, then these guys should be facing seal team six swfs with the same mindset and builds constantly, but that never happens. It's just players like me getting caught in between serving no purpose, but giving these guys a completely free W. These matches are completely pointless and a waste of everyone's time because there's no way even the killer has fun dunking on players way less coordinated, sweaty, or skilled.
I don't know what the solution is, but I think it can start by heavily nerfing S tiers because I think they're very unhealthy for game balance and it's impossible to fully balance the game out when they coexist with killers like Trapper or Pig. Alternatively, improve matchmaking to where casual players don't get forced into these auto losses, I don't care how long these killers have to wait for a match, if they want to come into a match to pubstomp, then they absolutely deserve to wait to face a team with the exact same mindset as them.
I think its the backfill system, if a killer dodges you get filled with sweatlord comp dbd player mcgee who has been waiting in queue for an hour ( I exaggerate)
Something they direly need to fix is the pre match lobby is incredibly dated. -

the las 3-4 have had strong survivor bias. Even the way the queations are framed
You've missed the point of the survey entirely then, queue times for killer have been long for several events now lol
People don't want to play survivor aside from die hard DBD players, the casual playerbase has been scared away from the game indefinately and FNAF is the next opportunnity to secure a more casual playerbase and are likely prepping for that.
DBD rn needs more casual players and less try hard ones. Yet everyone on this forum especially in the feedback section hate the casual player feedback.
Maybe SBMM isn't working as intended because the casual playerbase has been scared away LOL -

And being hit through pallets and windows is just as fun, there are 2 sides to this coin sadly.

I get stunned not even touching the palette, I can sometimes go at least 20 cm closer before touching the palette after it. I really don't need more of those especially with a sprintburst combined xD
That's a server issue, not a Smash Hit buff issue. The servers/netcode need improved in general. Not to mention if you've tried going for pallet stuns on survivor side you get a lot of misses which should be hits for the same reason.
I think survivors need more fun and unique abilities which help the casual gameplay more.
