  • Honestly with this approach the 8 regression limit could probably be reviewed. I like this idea, encourages game flow.

Their vault speed isn't affected by perks but their vault will apply stuff like Bamboozle for example. This is actually on purpose though because around the time of Wesker's release, bamboozle used to increase their vault speed but this was changed to keep things consistent/not cause issues with other perks in the future. I don't think this should be changed

Undone works on them at least, which is nice combo'd with bamboozle. I can't recall who mentioned it today but it was a good idea

My dream changes for him would be:

    • Reduce the power cooldown on breaking pallet back to 1 token instead of 2 tokens (buff).
    • Reduce the distance to aim at Survivors (injure them, get mark and mend them) by 50%.
    • Increase the time it takes for him to vault after a survivor/vault with power by 0,5 seconds.
    • Increase the cooldown after canceling the power by 0.25 seconds.

honestly the range is my largest issue with this rat of a killer, I feel it would fix so much if he couldn't injure from so far away.

    Slurping loser.

  • Oh that's a good idea having an alternate head.

Chucky? Chucky is fine though... has to use different parts of his kit in different locations and play mind games instead of just use power at any tile whenever off cooldown for pretty easy hits. Certainly not OP anymore.

Spirit is also fine at basekit... her issue is she does have a few add-ons that make her exceptionally strong.

Blight, fair enough. Can't argue with Blight.

Yeah I think Chucky is fun to play against now and I like playing as him (when he isn't bugged).

But Blight and Nurse need obliterated, I will always stand by that. Spirit is one I'm always unsure of as I'm not the best at playing against her, playing as her tho is fun, I'm not much a fan of playing against her tho.

  • I just want the backfill issue fixed.

  • I love legion, but there has to be some give and take with how we buff them, all of these together are WAY too heavy handed, I think you've put a lot of thought into this but havn't really thought about how this would be to play AGAINST, especially as a casual player.

You want to remove all counterplay from this killer when people already hate the mending simulator (I really don't like the being able to hit a survivor twice idea)? I don't understand what the issue with bodyblocking is? It's another survivor using their resources to protect a team member.

Also regarding vaulting, I thought their vault does get effected by perks?

I honestly think the issue is their addons mainly rn, I really like the spot they are in after the buffs I just don't understand the self mend to get debuffs, I prefer'd the old system of on 2nd hit onwards apply debuff.

Of course I'm talking from a casual perspective, not a comp player one.

  • I don't see anti-slug having much of an effect on slugging as a strategy, it's slugging to get all 4 down what it's countering/the whole duration of slug.

Slugging to pressure a gen etc will still be effective, even if the survivor can recover, it's not going to be unbreakable speeds, you can just go hit the survivor going for the save/trying to do the gen and go back or commit to the new chase, get them down and the other survivor is still injured and needing to reset.

Anti Tunnel is fine, people still eat anti-tunnel perks to be able to tunnel, if any of those are made baseline killers will still do it if they need to, it just makes the experience more fair and have more agency on the one being singled out, so again it's a non-issue, can just spread pressure instead.

Killers base kick was buffed for gen regression, I've not needed to use Gen slowdown/regression for a while now since the gen speeds were slowed down and problematic gen perks nerfed. I don't think there is an instance I've ever gotten to the cap for gen regression UNLESS I was using gen regress perks.

The games meta is currently formed around snowballing matches, for the easiest win with little resistance and these changes are making it so players don't feel as helpess when said tactics are used.

Killer players will adapt, they always do, not to mention Killer QoL changes have been:
-Perma hook break on sacrifice removed
-6.1.0 base chase QoL buffs (not listing all of them as there was several)
-some of the most problematic maps have been fixed
-Hook Spawns have become more dense
    -Gen speeds made slower
    -Base Gen Kick was buffed
    -End Game Collapse
    -Mori finisher system

And we are about to get anti-stealth changes too, and probably buffs to weaker killers down the line too.

  • Servers being jank is usually the main one for me, and the wierd matchmaking caused by what I'm assuming is being backfilled (dodging needs to go).

Otherwise I'm still playing killer, Gens go quick early game they always have, but I don't run gen regression and rely on chase/information perks usually.

  • @Emeal said:

I'm playing Killer right now on EU and Servers seem fine to me.

I've had a few issues with logging in and being booted from matches

  • @LordGlint said:

I was already using it on Legion, so just enjoying the buff. It not only helps give you an extra boost in-between FF stabs, letting you chain easier... but also helps to get a down after you FF stab someone and wanna go for an M1.

I didn't think of that with how easy it is to get hits, I need to try this

  • I honestly enjoy playing as her and against her, the issue as people have mentioned here is the bugs.

I don't think the nerf is the problem, it's literally the dog and how jank it is, sometimes the trail doesn't even match the dogs path.

  • I just dislike playing as him or playing against him, I don't care if he is strong weak or inbetween. Does not feel good to interact as or against.

Legit hate him so much as he is right now, and the only reason people like him is because he is easy to play.

  • I've been really enjoying it on Xeno with self destruct bolt builds

  • Edit: sorry I'm really silly and misread the post

M1 all killers get downs with m1's, it's not an exclusive mechanic to any one killer LOL I don't get why there are so many doomer killer players, every killer has a power, some just have less mobility/reach than others, which in turn, hurts their 4v1.

I don't think there is a killer who doesn't have an anti loop tool in their arsenal, furthermore you can build chase to make that easier on yourself and I have gd idea why people don't do that.

this is my opinion, do I think some killers need help? I want to see the QoL changes first, and the S-tiers brought down (I personally think Nurse/Blight are incredibly boring and have no depth at all) but I have A LOT of fun playing Trapper/Dredge/Ghostface among others, why? They make me play differently, they change the way I think.

  • @Bonvex said:

Seems like the changes did nothing for Xeno playerbase to increase.

    Top 6 bottom pick.

I feel using Nightlight is really unhealthy for these kinds of assumptions, we don't know consoles pick rates for example. We best wait for official stats when we eventually get some.

  • I had a meg today who brought a macmillan offering, failed to loop against the blight, tried to give up and got stopped, my friend tried to heal her and then she refused the heal and ran into the killer, we did the same again to try and help her and take hits for her, she ran at the killer again.

Stopping go next is literally not going to stop it if it's taking attempts quickly and then sacrificing yourself. People will just find new ways to do it, or do what other survivors do and start sabotaging the rest of the team throwing every pallet down despite not being in chase.

I don't know what this is going to achieve.

  • Isn't the value from this perk that it affects multiple things, I'd understand the arguement if it was just break actions, but it's not.

The perks in a decent place now can be used as a hybrid chase perk to supplement dedicated chase builds for window vaulting or pallet breaking.

Usually my early game has up to 3 gens finishing but the last 2 gens always go the slowest, so usually I'm at 3ish stacks for the majority of the match, so that's 12 percent I tend to get the most out of it.

which isn't bad at all since it shaves time off multiple actions, wouldn't you agree that tends to add up?

Audio Occlusion was making flashbangs silent, during chase music with line of sight breakers, and the flashbang noise was way louder than breathing or footstep noises.

Survivor noises are just like the pre-buffed flashbang noise, where they can just get deleted by audio occlusion.

I've never had that issue for Smoke Clouds so far, you probably just followed the survivor poorly, you can also wait for them to leave the cloud in open spaces, or just wait it out if you want to keep vision. Try and use 2v8 to come up with strategies to play around them rather than just going to the worst conclusion. You might find your own ways to cope

    @xGodSendDeath said:

You also cannot hear the new survivor at all since she is so quiet. All the tryhards are replacing tuxedo Ace for her

I'm still waiting for Claire to be made quiet and Rebecca to not moan for 10 years on hit before going to injury noises.

Asking killers to rely on footsteps and breathing noises, while chase music is happening, is 100% unacceptable considering how audio occlusion currently works with line of sight breakers.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3926283#Comment_3926283

That would just end up being a “Dead Hard for distance” projectile, that could be used even if the survivor isn’t being tunneled.

Your audio setup musn't be very good quality then, it's literally just a small globe. You can also look at the ground if you are close enough to see legs. Chase music isn't that bad do we play the same game? LOL

Maybe you should take a break from playing killer if anything new makes you miserable at the thought of it.

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3926264#Comment_3926264

The smoke bomb made an area effect on the ground for a few seconds, where players can’t see through it, and it completely blocked the vision of anyone in the actual smoke. It was basically free escapes for coordinated SWFs, where a teammate would ambush the killer with it in an area with lots of line of sight blockers.

And I honestly don’t think a new survivor item would be popular, unless it did something that is powerful enough to make the killer feel miserable. There just isn’t anything that’s actually “fun for both sides”, that would be popular with survivors.

I legit had 0 issues with smoke bombs, if you're using headphones you can hear footsteps and breathing and moans.

It's like a less extreme blind, and it also blinds survivors.

I personally want an aggressive item I can throw for a short stun (won't work on saving survs), would love to have throwing matches with Huntresses haha. Or a melee item that gives you head on to use, or a hammer to rebuild pallets for charge and time.

  • honestly the only thing I dislike about them now is how fast they get around the map, but that's hopefully gonna be eased with anti tunnel etc (return to the hook playstyles) and what not. I also don't really care for how they still keep you in place for 3 seconds to make cartoony slurp noises at you as you lose your exhaustion speedboost from it.

Now when I play against them I have no idea why people enjoy some teenager that screams so much and makes comical slurping noises LOL.

he is getting more tolerable to face but people are gonna complain about this killer regardless, can't say I enjoy their addition to the game, but I'm happy for those who like the IP.

  • Good Freddy's are usually really good at him, he feels really strong in the right hands when someone has the right build and has amazing macro gameplay. if you can get like lots of injuries and keep the pressure on, his ability to punish healing has to be his strongest feature, as people will need to either wake up then heal, or bluff through the heal and see if he punishes (sometimes wont if he is tunneling). I don't find the pallets threatning but on maps like midwich they are strong, the slow is one of the main reasons I always run vigil rn too.

I feel his macro is very undervalued, and the amount of time wasted from needing to manual wake up between survivors when clocks havn't respawned yet. has great perk synergy and can haste hindered stack.

I do think people are sleeping on him (haha), but DBD's community tends to be stuck in the past when it comes to modern opinions until the content creators finally catch on and make a video, so that doesn't surprise me.

Do I think he is overtuned however? No? Not that I can tell, it could just be his ability to punish saving the one being tunneled inflating kill rates or something.

  • Stealth and information on midwich is really powerful in general, I love head on and deception on the map. You can also go in lockers if you ever encounter it again to avoid being aura read! So there is a counter and there are plenty lockers in midwich coincidentally.

Right, it has nothing to do with giving feedback.

But as you can see and hear, BHVR have very detailed conversations with licensors, which would 100% be about if cosmetics would be interchangeable. I'm not saying you are wrong to ask, but you are asking the wrong people as BHVR already is ontop of that question and they let the licensor decide, always. Which is why I said, 100% they already asked.

But it is feedback, it's showing I like these outfits being unlinked so even if it doesn't happen for this outfit, maybe down the line they will try and ask/bare it in mind for future cosmetics. I'm also stating I'm really happy with the outfit.

That said there is still outfits like Yun-Jin's UNLICENSED fit which are still linked, or Gabriels Firemoon Festival one that have nice parts that'd look great with other outfits.

You're being really closed-minded and just trying to get in the way of communication for no reason.

Yeah up until this thread I never really did a full comparison but yeah it's a little off overall and that's unfortunate. I would like to tie it to creative liberties but for the shoes I kind of want to pin that to "Not worth adjusting rig for differently angled shoes"

I do 3d work so that's my closest educated guess since the shoes are drastically different.

I do 3D work too and I find it really unusual they didn't model her around that considering all of her outfits have high heels, and many characters also have compromises etc and do it better:

    image.png image.png image.png

Of course they aren't ideally accurate they are still better, they are more heel like than:

    image.png
  • I'm really excited to see how the game develops with these changes, I'm hopeful they will be effective enough to bring the focus of DBD to the chase and condition macro gameplay (hooking people near gens you want to defend/pressure etc.) as more common strategies.

My largest issue has always been with hyper mobility returning to the hook because they can't win a chase/can't find anyone within seconds, basically encouraging players to leave survivors on the hook as long as possible, which just doesn't happen in casual lobbies (people want to save their friends/be actually playing the game asap).

I'm not the most savvy person at this game, but I do know from my current experience of playing both sides casually this will hopefully be the right steps this game needs to keep the game flow going and both sides interacting with each other more (the whole point of DBD). I've personally been focusing less on winning and thinking of fun ways to interact with the killer (Head on, Deception, QnQ, Blast Mine) And on killer I play unknown with the alien device (stealth aura) and spawning more halucinations on curses, plus Hoarder/Human Greed/Lethal/BBQ to keep me in chase and to help me get fun shots off using the chests.

I cannot stress enough how much using BBQ again has really helped keep my game pressure going and let me slow gens down ASAP by getting lots of damage going out that they need to reset or get caught off guard by my increasingly oppressive Hallucinations <3

I don't think the Anti-Tunnel/Anti-Slug will hurt anyone who plays this game casually, only those who treat it competitively and too seriously. 2v8 showed as much with its anti-slug/pallet rebuilding/faster+slower gen speeds/aura reveals etc. We can have QoL without it taking away from the main gameplay loop.

I recommend other killer players to do the same, challenge yourself and try new builds and try to find the fun in playing casually, it really helps, plus you won't be as affected by the QoL when it hits anyways, if it's truly denying you the strat in the end as much as you fear

  • @Dustin said:

What's the issue with the shoes? Is it because they don't match the remake boots or is something else wrong with them? The model seems correct (For dbd specifically) and it's mostly the same as the other shoes. The only thing that specifically looks different is the heel breast (Long heel part) which maybe it could be slightly bigger. I assume they try to match the shape of all shoes because the rig is animated that way.

The boots are a little off from the remake but again I assume they did this to avoid having to have a separate animation or rig adjustments. First pic from remake.

I won't lie though I never noticed this until now. Granted I don't play Ada so yeah it does look a little weird regardless of the reason you pointed it out.

Edit - Okay the more I look at it the worse it looks so yes I see the problem.

Not to mention adas OG RE4 hair is all wrong too:

    resident-evil-ada-wong-5.jpg maxresdefault.jpg

the hair is missing its side bangs and the back of the hair is way too short too.

  • Yeah a token system would go a long way, or allowing it to work with vigil to get the heal faster for some perk synergy, as it is right now it really has no draw to it.

Moment of glory and it could really do with some love to bring in line with the likes of inner strength.

On the contrary, we do cause BHVR is very open about how they do it.

    https://youtu.be/wo_jbBNXV5k?feature=shared&t=310

Such things are clear before the contract is even signed.

What about that? It has nothing to do with giving feedback. I'm giving feedback and a suggestion, you're just trying to naysay for no reason, it contributes nothing.

I'm excited for the coming cosmetic, and I also hope FNAF fans get what they want too.

  • You work there? No. I don't see a BHVR tag by your name, we don't know how they do things so stop acting like you do.

This is just to make windows be a counterplay option for her which is fine, if you are quick enough you'll hit them anyways.

Babysitter still doesn't provide it, you still need to have at least a bit of skill to use it ;)

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3922334#Comment_3922334

this is hypotheticaly true only if surv was unhooked in your face, which is literally not a case in any team that has at least a bit of macro game knowledge

No, people don't want to be FORCED to slot a perk to have to deal with such an unhealthy playstyle. You literally speak like you NEVER play survivor, you have NO consideration for the other side when you talk.

Have you ever considered what it's like for NEW players who don't have these perks? Who don't know how to deal with said situations, they don't have the time to learn or adapt. You're expecting casual gameplay to be eliminated. This isn't the first time you've ignored the other side.

You speak like there is only comp players playing this game, a perk should never be the solution for a major game flaw.

Have you ever considered going for the person who is unhooking rather than the one unhooked??? You have perks for chase, you could build around that if you're struggling there. I'm so confused if perks are the answer to everything as you imply? Why don't you equip the perks for every situation then?

  • If we give feedback maybe they'll listen, I guess also they'll be twitch drops and weekly gifts that give them.

I personally love how easy it is to complete them all, just a bit sad I don't get match exp towards it, that's all I ask.

  • I was hoping they'd also redo the DS animation and add an actual weapon and make it actually not waste some of the stun time too, I feel like both of these could have been done at the same time.

  • @BritneyMitch said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/444249/flash-light

As long as theres a perk in the game that completely 100% counters flashlights I dont think this argument holds up.

not to mention franklins and overwhelming presence exist too.

  • Self healing was nerfed, endurance stacking can't happen, it's easy to intercept a sabo or capitalise off of a failed sabo, hooks also respawn after a survivor dies now too.

Like I don't understand why we can't have more consistent map spawns at this rate, so that we can have actual balance and strategy around them to help save others.

Survivors only have so many resources to use to help a wiggle even when built into it, surely it's okay to revisit hook spawns and make them more consistent so that we don't end up with deadzones, maybe also remove the hook spawn offerings or repurpose them to affect respawn times by like 10 or so seconds (random ideas).

  • I said this in another thread but I feel he is so badly designed that if you nerf him, no one will play him, and keep him as he is currently or strong everyone will hate playing against him. I also feel like it's the weakest collab we've ever recieved hype wise.

kind of telling that's why he opinions are so clashing when it comes to him.

I personally don't like playing against him, but I don't go out of my way to quit.

  • They need help against specific killers like Legion, IDK what it is but they just run around do p.much nothing all match against them. Saw one vault the same window over and over and over, it was wierd.

  • It would just be nice if it showed the information on the HUD, it's so silly it doesn't.

  • I like this idea, also add the teamwork lingering haste maybe.

  • He is just a poorly designed killer, that's not fun to face. Either you nerf him and he is unfun to play, or you keep him and he is unfun to face.

That's poor design, even in the middle it'd just be eh to both sides, nothing fun about it.

  • I personally would love Ashley Graham/Luis and U3 as a killer

Or Alexia Ashford as a killer and maybe bring Claire and Chris some cosmetics

    Alfred Ashford over Deathslinger

U3 would be great over unknown or even Saddler.

RE7 Evelyn who could deploy molded/Baker family members and Mia as a survivor, I'd say Ethan but they never show his face lol

I hated AoT at the time, still do, but it's gone.

Tokyo Ghoul, to my understanding, is a horror manga, from the little I've seen. At the very least, it is heavily influenced by horror, which is good enough.

Attack on Titan is monsters that eat people, with a protagonist that turns into said monster
Tokyo Ghoul is monsters that eat people, with a protagonist that turns into said monster

  • @Pulsar said:

    There's nothing horror about that.

There's so many other things that'd be better.

Honestly neither was attack on titan really, or tokyo ghoul. If the rule for horror is just gore, then Cyberpunk Edgerunners is fine.

  • More and more interaction has been removed from the game between Killer and Survivor ontop of survivors being able to interact with the game in general:

-Flashlight angles reduced as a result of nerfing flashbangs
-Lightburn removed (I feel like killers who are effected by it should have had a new mechanic akin to singularity to fight back their power with new items/interactions)
    -Kaneki/Blight/Nurse etc exist
-Slugging exists more as a result of more widespread knowledge (thanks killer streamers)
-Tunneling exists again as a result of more widespread knowledge (again thanks killer streamers)
-Second Chance builds is the only build to avoid the above.
-Servers are so awful, hit detection is so much more whack than it used to be. So many killers get stupid hids who have high mobility/fast moving projectiles!!! THIS ONE IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BIGGEST FACTORS.
-More and more hindered/haste stacking exists on killer side
    -Pentimento exists
-Small Coldwind with no loops and Haddonfield exist
-Franklins still has no counter (perk or addon that lets you keep items in hand)
-Perks like Mirrored illusion/Bardic give NO points on usage, don't feel rewarding to use at all
-Anti-Camp is one of the most useless easy to exploit systems made for this game
-Invocations are perks designed around the ideaology that survivors have room to take such huge risks (they dont)
-Boons take too much time to set up and are too weak for the investment
-Chests are so far and few between and give no addons without a perk, and broken keys and maps exist which are useless without them.
-Medkits self heal was nerfed to the point even self care + Botany is better, med kit tiers not being better in any way upon tier up is one of the worst things they've ever added.
-Gen slowdown stacking feels like you can be on a single gen for up to 2 minutes or more at a time, it's awful
-Calm Spirit has still not had its downside removed LMAO
-Lobby Dodging is making MMR Redundant.

The list could go on, and on and on and on and on. Of course there are issues on killer side too, but there is soooo many issues rn with survivor, and we havn't even gotten to the bugs yet.

1 … 43 44 45 46 47 … 75
