Its just how awful the servers track fast movement hits, something they've needed to fix for ages since adding more and more high mobility.
it'd make the game feel a lot better. -

Who said I was playing devil's advocate? That is a legitimate consideration. They can allow cosmetics while also not add every cosmetic possible.
They don't have to, they are just more outfits for characters people love, just like any other character in the game lol

It's without a doubt an easy thing to do, but money aside, bhvr also has to weigh how much of their game they want to share with other IPs.
At this point, most people consider dbd the fortnite of horror/thriller IP, but dbd originally began as its own game with its own lore and characters. As a company and development team, I can only imagine how restrictive it must feel if all the blood, sweat, and tears being poured into making a unique and fresh experience for players was cast aside to essentially be a theme park for every other company trying to make a quick buck via dlc and cosmetic sales. Not only that, but any innovation has to be "double checked" by the people selling you licenses. You could come up with the greatest, most interactive mechanics for a killer, but if the license holder says "no," well that's that.
All that to say, sure dbd could be a digital storefront for all the old resident evil and silent hill fans trying to cash in on nostalgia, but this game at its core is neither of those games. To even have a dlc crossover should be more than enough, but in my opinion, the people that only come to dbd for a specific license slowly want this game to turn into the game they came for, rather than the game that exists, rather than the original game hardworking people poured their soul into.
Why are you playing devils advocate stating a problem that doesn't exist?
Literally we get licensed cosmetics all the time… -
I'd love more chests in 1v4, and killers would have more incentive to run human greed perk builds too (Chest aura reading). I love the survival horror part of DBD and survival horror's main mechanics is item management and scavenging. Please consider this <3
-
As long as I have more aggressive options to fight back too (head on/items etc), I'm all for this.

An outfit for my outfit.
that's just survivors in general really if you're gonna put it like that, they are all just outfits when you think about it.
-
I personally would love a melee item that lets me use head on, and uses of it decreases item charge, or a throwable item that inflicts a very short stun/hinder that's lost upon use. Or maybe a item which gives you more intense wiggle, or lets you displace where a killer is location wise.
I'm all for this sort of interaction when it comes to items. -

The thing about licensed content is that said content is always limited by the owner of the IP. Even if bhvr coded everything up in game, the IP owner has to approve it (based on the terms of the license contract).
Essentially there is a chance, but don't expect noise on the forums to generate any significant momentum for it to be a thing or not.
I know that it's mostly up the license, but I imagine much like they can get outfits for Jill/Leon, they can do so for other characters too, they just need some kind of discount system (make the skins normal price) if you already own the initial legendary, so much work goes into them for the voices/animations not to be used again.
I'm just surprised we've never ever seen another outfit for any of these beloved characters. -
LOL I hadn't even thought of this, hopefully they do!
-
Yeah I'd like to just see the red ping indicator like it shows for survivors in lobby, it's only fair.
-
Isn't this being addressed with the QoL soon? We don't know the changes yet, but I'm sure this is what it's targetting.

It takes longer to apply mending then it does to get rid of it.
it doesn't? LMAO You can literally go away after frenzying someone, and they mend and you can come back and hit them again half the time, which is the annoying part in 2v8 as some people don't respect the power and it eff's you over.
it's just bad design. -
this would be some nice QoL, but you could still counter survivor classes with killer combos potentially and that's lame.
Honestly the pre game lobby in 1v4 and 2v8 just need to show less information to the opposing side in general. -
Yellow herb wasn't that problematic honestly, it helped players who were being singled out on purpose have a way to bounce back, if you're spreading pressure you're gonna be catching people off guard, plus killers benefitted from them too. I play a lot of 2v8 as killer coz I like to do other stuff while I queue, and I miss the zoomies I got.
Good players on killer are always going to be oppressive when teaming up, plus the survivors looking for herbs arent gonna be on gens… so why is it an issue. -
maybe they could do what other games do, where they cycle times of day to make maps feel a bit fresher.

Horrendous take. If you don't live in a region with good server availability (which is a lot of the world) what are you meant to do to rectify that? Get banned for being born in the wrong place?
I agree high ping hugely benefits one side more than the other, but the fix should be to make higher ping less beneficial on outcome, not ban people that live in the wrong place.
People are just frustrated that it affects the fun of the match, they shouldn't gain benefits from the lag which is the issue, regardless if its out of their control or not.
-
Just give me more survivor classes, fix legion and I'll play this mode a lot more as survivor
-
I've seen someone say he is bugged right now and can hit over most walls? there was a gif etc in the thread but it got closed because it wasn't in the bug report section.
I love nemesis, I hate how he is always bugged. -
I really like that characters talk, and I wish I had the option to hear other survivors too, hearing Alan or Nicolas Cage yell as they enter chase nearby me would be hillarious.
I do think people who don't like them should also have an option to turn them off though. -

They were cooking up some changes last year, and I fear they only got delayed (due to Pinhead's "priority" falling with the loss of the license) as opposed to getting cancelled.
Aside from addon changes (he has possibly the greatest addon variety in the game, but the lower rarity addons are stinkers) he shouldn't be touched. Complaints from people who pick him up once a year shouldn't be taken into account when balancing him.
Oh okay, well, he is one of the killers I enjoy interacting with (I feel a good one is really strong if they can manage the box). So I'd be sad if he became super uninteractive.
-
I don't think they'll touch pinhead with him not being available anymore honestly, but I could be wrong.
-
I would just like him to be fun to play against and I also hope he stays fun to play as for the people who like him.
As of right now I still don't enjoy playing against him, I'm not sure it's anything to do with how strong he is, it's that stupid hit stun and being able to hit over obstacles. -
Could also let him use it in other chases too, reminding me of skull merchant when another survivor got scanned.
-
This is the chapter I'm really excited for, I love the original chapters and killers so much. Unknown was such a fun idea so thank you for doing something like this <3
-
Bored of Legion and that BHVR don't listen to any feedback regarding them.

I feel like the Compendium should stay. The old challenges should stay.
The lore should also stay.
The lore compendium is staying it's getting its own section supposedly

I think his new teleport to sleeping targets who are healing is (teehee) being slept on, it adds extra steps to recovering against him especially for those who rely on being healed by others after being unhooked, all of his new options give him really good map control (teleporting to completed gens and exit gates).
Over all I think he is in a much better place. -
Honestly I'm just confused why their cap is 8 for their power, just make it 4 and remove the instant down make it so chaining hits maybe gives them a pallet break on vault token or something or gives them a faster come out of power CD, it'd still be incredibly powerful in a 2 man team. Not to mention they have the buffed power cancel now, chase legion is fine.
it's an information tool and it gets free hits. -
Yeah ping is crazy exploitable on killer end, a friend sent me: This (Link to a video sorry if its not allowed)
It needs punished if someone is on super high ping. -
Yeah I feel like old Haddonfields size with the current house fixes would be more than enough, heck I'd even take the multiple gens in the myers house again at this rate.

It appears the glitch happens when you completed these quests before the cosmetic rewards went live, I got the badge just fine. And I love it and am not removing it it's way too cute. <3
Yeah it is a really cute badge, so I hope they fix it
-
that would just be pentimento into another pentimento, I don't like this at all.
Maybe if it was one totem per gen, but I dont really have an issue with the current one, it's kind of just a niche perk like half the other released ones. -
I havn't had too much trouble with her tbh when it comes to windows, it's mainly pallet camping which is annoying.
-
Yeah sometimes I wish they'd put PC queue back to its own thing, I'd move back to console so quickly if there was a console only queue.
-
Still waiting on Wesker to recieve the same change, lost it so quick on Dracula wolf form so why does he get special treatment??
-
this happened to me too, and I'm on 2/4, I hope it gets fixed
-
I really want the Dredge teleporting out of chest idea now LOL I'd use it with human greed + Hoarder all the time.
-
Yeah we really should be getting more survivor classes lol, why new killers but NO new classes.
-
I would love this, I really like the monster killers and Unknown is my main so it'd be amazing for me.
-
Sorry to post again, but I thought this was relevant with the new cosmetic release for Yun-Jin:
If Yun-Jin can have heels, there is no way Ada can't, they use the same rig LOL
-
at least he can move really quick with fearmongerer + Night Shroud to make him 130 percent (I think?)
-
Sometimes I wonder if he'd feel better to go against and play if his bottles gave a gradually worsening hinder, rather than outright a flat percentage, to punish people for camping pallets and not punishing those trying to avoid his pink clouds as much as possible.
Because personally I dislike how they handled his buff, giving him such a strong hinder doesn't feel good to control against, but it also sucks for clown players that people just camp pallets against him. -

Good job not addressing anything in my comment 😂
Because it's literally reaching I'm sorry, they don't extend if it takes you THAT long to get survivors out I'm concerned you're not even trying.
If survivors are still fooling around, you STILL have a chance to comeback all it takes is one down to snowball, your issue is you are giving up.
Slugging on the otherhand requires a perk or another survivor up, which in a lot of cases casual players aren't building around it casually. -
As much as I dislike Blight playing against him, I think foxy would be perfect.

Wrong, if the survivor want it can take however long. Simply hitting 4 healthy survivor over the finish line takes 8 hits plus weapon whipe.
Add to that perks and/or tools it can take even longer.
The ONLY scenario where it takes only a few seconds is when survivor willingly run straight over the line once the killer comes. Which, I admit, the scummy kind of survivor, that faints a free hit only to dodge last second over the line, really does.
Right, I do it every match I lose I've not had an issue, I'm always in control of my gameplay as killer, it's VERY different to slugging lol.
-
When killer queues are already really long, IDK why they'd take their biggest launch and include nothing for survivor. This is probably gonna hurt the growth a bit. Not to mention it's also gonna hurt content creators trying to cover it who want to showcase the killer.
Will forever be confused by this lol -
Just hit them out, it takes 2 seconds.
-
I'm all for the toggle honestly, and I just want better servers coz it feels like they are way too low tick rate to accomodate for all the high mobility now.
-
If people want specific maps, could just have a community voted event queue thats only one map like the FNAF chapter.
offerings only make people mad. -

I'm not sure I'm seeing the connection here, mind elaborating?
Why would this change prompt the regression limit to be reviewed?
Because it would stop regression stacking from being as effective, sure it'd go to the next available gen, but limits may not be needed since gen progression won't be bursting down as the killer snowballs potentially.
I'm not sure how accurate my claim is but your proposal sounds good! LOL
