We're looking six to eight weeks, minimum, before the next chapter, and thus, any changes.
-
15 to 3 in one day? That. . . that's a lot of hours in one day.
Anway, new Doc is just that. New. Just like Killers need to adapt of life without Ruin, Survivors need to adapt to Docs new playstyle.
-
I like the new map, but I dislike the chase music. It sounds like it's being played through a mud pit.
-
No. Gen times themselves should not be increased. It's still 80 seconds for a solo survivor. Map sizes are the real issue. A killer can't patrol gens enough to be effective. Toolboxes should be second.
-
Not bannable, just really toxic.
-
Too much effort for too little reward. First, she requires a whole level of learning above most other killers. You really can't spend a few matches learning with the crazy matchmaking right now. Second, her bugs. They're everywhere, and the devs don't care to fix them. Third, no real incentive. Too many downsides to using her power, with one bad chase and four gens pop. She isn't fun. Both the downsides and the bugs combined makes for a stressful match. Devs buried her.
I can get better results, with a better match, with 'lesser' killers. I'm sticking with Plague and Trapper.
-
I just got b***hed at by a four man because I mad their match 'boring.' Was on Rotten Fields as Trapper. Two gens popped in under two minutes, hadn't even been able to place four traps, as they were so spread out. Managed three hooks, one kill only because they weren't saved till second stage. Apparently I didn't chase them enough to make their streamers worth it. Wish I could, I simply did not have enough time to do anything else.
It's been like this for the last week, since I removed Ruin from all my killers. I just don't have enough time to give everybody some love, sadly.
-
New Ruin is good on all high mobility characters. Billy, Nurse, Spirit, Oni, and Demo, since you can apply pressure all over the map. It's ironic, since it's low mobility killers that need Ruin to work for them, not high mobility.

I don't see why BT is an issue. Unless you tunnel, you'll hardly ever deal with it.
O, so you mean the tactic used of the one with the BT buff to body block for the rescuer, so they both get away? Using it for a use not for what it was intended? 'Hardly ever deal with it.'

Why would the devs respond to every insulting biased thread when they can catch them all in a net or just ignore them completely.
Biased? You have both sides against the Ruin change. How is that biased?
-
What amuses me is that, in the patch notes, they say 'slightly.' Devs says 'small tweaks' with Nurse, now 'slightly extended' for hooks. I don't think the devs know what that word means.
-
If you were a decent survivor, you would be cleansing totems.
-
Congrats! You do something some others don't, then use your experience as a blanket statement for everybody!
Why don't you do you, and let others do them. I don't need Ruin to win. I needed Ruin to play nice if I wanted to win. I rarely slugged with Ruin, because when I rolled Survivor, I knew how much I hated that. Especially with potatoes who will let you bleed out halfway before leaving their lockers. Now, though? I don't have a choice. Maps are the size of Russia. Gotta apply pressure in some way.

CI still exists.
It's actually counter productive on him. So you force them near you. That means you can't set up your traps in time. Plus, they set off two gens in the center, and when the perk deactivates, that leaves three on the outer edges of the map they can do. Trapper can't cover larges maps well, but is forced to with CI. Better to give up the far gens and force them in a cluster so your traps cover the most ground.
-
Iron Maiden is a good choice. You get to reload faster, and deny them a hiding spot.
-
I haven't had any luck with it. It cuts off a window, sure, but unless it's late game, there's usually always another pallet or jungle gym nearby that can simply run to.

Hurr hurr rip a crutch perk. I didn't see this much fanfare and belly aching when Decisive Strike and Mettle of Man getting utterly destroyed to pave the way for tunneling. Which I might add that I, as q survivor main fully accept your "taboo" tactics as part of the game, albiet relying too heavy on them can lead to weak killers. Time to buckle up buttercup and adapt.
You. . . you actually, really believe that DS was destroyed? It was literally buffed to a 60 second immunity. . . it's a survivor crutch perk for not being able to loop, if you want to equate Ruin as a crutch. As for MoM, I agree. It was ruined.
-
You can thank the devs for pushing most of it.
-
You do realize that even if they had a remote chance of being buffed, it's six to eight weeks, minimum, before the next chapter. That is nearly two months of very, very toxic play, and it is coming. By then, any chance of a Ruin buff will be buried under the thousands of 'nerf NOED, mories, sloppy, Devour, Third Seal, BBQ, Monstrous Shrine,' etc etc etc complaints.
-
Heh, nice. Made me chuckle.
-
Now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever had it used against me. . . maybe once? I really can't recall the last time I saw that perk in a build. . . this is bugging me now.
-
Don't. At least, not yet. There's an audio bug going on right now where a survivors sounds are drowned out by the music, or muffled. A large part of Spirit is audio, and this bug makes her incredibly tricky. But if you want a streamer, can't go wrong with Tru3. He's helped me a bit on his builds. Otz as well, but he doesn't play Spirit that much.
-
Plague. I adore her theme. A priestess looking to help the people, corrupted by a new deity? It's lovely.
-
I'm in the opposite line of thinking. I think survivors should ONLY be able to find keys in chests, and not on the bloodweb. I also think a mori should be awarded for doing something spectacular as a killer for a match or two. Maybe three 4ks nets you one. Either way, I don't like how you can grind a dozen of them out on the bloodweb, if the rng is in your favor.
-
I won't be dropping cash on this, no. The last Rift, I did, and it turned out to be far more tedious than I expected. Second, I don't agree with what the devs are doing to the game. Going to vote with my wallet, or lack thereof.
Which is a shame, some of the skins look pretty nice. But I'll pass this time.
-
My assumption is that there weren't that many Spirit players to begin with. You just had entitled survivors who didn't like learning how to counter her, and thus flooded the forums with their salt. Now that Spirit had their nerf, they moved on, first to Freddy, and now, apparently, Billy.
-
Been playing a lot of Trapper recently, as I had a good amount of BP offerings. Removed Ruin from the build this week to try out new builds. It's rather depressing to have two gens pop when I only have half my traps down. I've gotten into the mindset to three gen them as much as possible.
-
A lot of times I'm called out for camping isn't on me, it's on them. For instance, last night I had a match as Trapper. Hooked a dude, went to the nearest loop to set a trap, spot the Meg coming in for a save. I chase her, only to spot a Claudette coming from another direction. Go to smack her instead, as she was injured. Meg comes back, steps in a trap. Down her, that's two slugged. Dude on hook suicides, Meg dces, I hook Claudette, Jake found the hatch. In chat, I'm salted over camping. Okay then.
-
Facecamped as Nurse, because she was my first killer I played as.

Before the hatch could be closed, there were a LOT of times where a survivor and killer would just stare at each other at the hatch. If the killer hit the survivor, the survivor could jump through the hatch while the killers in the cooldown. If the survivor jumped through before the killer hit them, the killer could grab them
Okay, but couldn't the killer simply close the hatch?
-
How did it create standoffs? I wasn't around for it. I keep seeing comments about that, but no explanation. Couldn't the killer just close the hatch and move on? Or was this before the endgame collapse.

dont be such a drama queen, everyone will adapt after sometime
Slugging is the adaption.

It'll be awhile. Devs are notoriously slow at fixing anything killer related.

It isn't a nerf nuke lmao. Ruin still has a lot of potential for synergy in slowdown/totem builds. The issues the Ruin change creates are far less than the ones they solve. From a business standpoint, the Ruin nerf helps the devs no doubt.
The only killers that can make New Ruin work well against decent survivors are movement based killers, which is ironic, because they didn't need Ruin in the first place. They can keep survivors off gens. to let New Ruin do its thing. How is a Clown or Plague going to make optimal use of New Ruin when it takes them half a minute to cross a map without getting into any chases?
-

Wait for devs to fix her, she is currently bugged in so many ways that I do not think it is worth playing her. Not gonna happen in the next patch, oni map still an almost complete deadzone, blink bug still existing. For once bhvr could fix the mess they made but guess you can wait for the next dlc to drop.
Dev's aren't going to fix her. Her bugs have been around since the early days, and they haven't done anything about them. While her bugs cause her issues, it's that CC nerf they slapped on her that makes her unfun. Too much effort needed to get a barely decent match for most players.
-
Nobody players the poor girl. Devs buried her, and refuse to admit any mistake because there are three good Nurse players still out there.
-
. . . that necro. Do people not look at dates?

You must be joking. Amusing.
If you were around just before/after Stranger Things release, you'd remember the dozens of Plague posts that popped up alongside Spirit about her being broken OP unfun nerf now posts.

Apologies, I poorly phrased that. I meant to say 'one-hit-down perks/abilities' were worthless on the Plague, as survivors were already injured.
Additionally, if you've ever countered poor old Legion, you would know that injured survivors can loop just as well as healthy survivors, especially against a killer with effectively no killer power with which to shorten a chase. There's a reason that 'just don't heal' is a meta that the best players follow, and either don't heal until endgame or run Adrenawin.
I referred to Corrupt Purge as a one-hit-down, as it would be used against infected/injured survivors to be able to actually shorten a chase, if one of them were foolhardy enough to cleanse. But, it is worthless, as it is normally activated far from survivors at an infected shrine, giving them plenty of time to hide and run down the clock.
I've actually been using NOED on her. It replaced Ruin for the moment, as I'm trying new builds. NOED has made up for that endgame cleansing they do. So, for one hit perks, that one works.
-
Most times you don't get to use Corrupt. And even if you manage it via an apple, the maps are so large that half the time is eaten just by crossing.
Second, endgame. This has been a personal annoyance for me. Good survivors cleanse only after all gens pop. That gives them all a free heal, and since you can't infect fast enough, and corrupt isn't an instadown, 9 times out of 10 that means they escape.
-
Just read the last patch notes published.
-
Man, this thread. . . so, some people can manage a few kills per match without Ruin, thus, Ruin itself is not needed by anybody else? I once managed a 4k with Trapper without any perks against a purple team, so by that logic, any killer using perks is obviously a noob. Anybody crying about it is obviously a baby killer.
Just because some people can do something, doesn't mean everybody can. So you can do something without Ruin, congrats. Don't use yourself as the measuring post everybody else should attempt to match.
-
Does this count?
-
I don't have the numbers in my head, but two I like, two I don't. The two I don't have wide open areas in the middle, where survivors can see me coming from half a map away and run to a nearby infinite.
-
I will admit that the Ruin change is needed, but not implemented the way they did. There were various other elements that needed changing, either before or with the Ruin update.
-
Paired with thana. However, you need to have a killer that synergizes will with thana. Plague is number one, because her power denies healing. Thana/DL, so long as you can land a few hooks, is fantastic. Legion is another.
-
Give him the ability to trap gens, where if they're used, or he triggers them from a distance, his fart cloud erupts from that gen. Maybe even lockers and chests could be trapped as well. Or maybe give his gas a debuff that causes increased difficulty in skill checks. They are supposed to be intoxicated, after all.
-
I'm not sure about increasing base gen time, but I would like toolboxes to be looked at. The biggest issue is map size. Managing gens would be easier if maps weren't the size of Antarctica.
