Strong? No. She only has four which are useful, and two are used to bring back old base kit Nurse. But useful doesn't equate to strong, at least in the sense that this game uses.
-
I feel ya.
-
The tactical SWF I went up against two nights ago. It was. . . painful, to say the least.
The perks by themselves are problematic, but can be worked around. The issue is that most survivors will run the same perks. Yet devs have an issue with killer's perks synergizing. . .
-
Why did you play it in the first place? As soon as you saw four OoO users, just stand by the gate and let them do gens. No need to put yourself through that frustration at their expense.
-
No. I still rank Haddonfield as the 'worse map ever.' Midwich is saved from that because it looks so damn good.
-
@RaSavage42 We thought the same with Billy, and they just nerfed him into the ground. Devs see the game through the brown ranks eyes, remember? It's easier to nerf the high end to suit the low end, than bring the low end up to the high end, after all. Spirit is going to get a hammer on her at some point, it's just a matter of time.
-
@RaSavage42 To be fair, SWF abuse everything. It's why they're broken. I was just trying to think of a way to doesn't follow BHVR's latest trend of 'slap cooldowns and power usage' on everything.
-
Right now, Trail of Torment, Dying Light, PGTW, and Surveillance for my Plague.
-
She can't see survivors, nor hear them? I suppose that's a unique way of deleting a killer. . .

I get them all the time with Plague because players still don’t expect Dark Devotion for some reason.
I've been using Surveillance and Trail of Torment on my Plague to get those lovely gen grabs. Using Black Incense lets me route just right.

Atleast with keys the killer they can only be used late game. Or killer can run franklins. Hook a survivor once, tunnel them, and kill them instantly. I wouldn’t mind the ebony if the survivor is on death hook. Cause they would be dead anyway. And the killer can get the same satisfaction of killing survivors by hand.. but hey it is what it is
The problem is that most keys used are by SWF, and we already know how broken that can be. Key holders are 'usually' good loopers, meant to waste time. So, tunneling them can waste three gens.
-
I hate keys. That's it, that's the response.
-
Maybe I'm missing something, but what is 'two dimensional' hearing? What sound cue does she get that survivors don't?
-
Vommy Mommy comes to mind. Make it happen.

Oh so people don’t play her bc she’s “not the best” but I always see legions (legions actually my main I like them bc their fun) so ig
Legion can book it when needed. His fast paced playstyle is more enjoyable than Plague. Plus, her power is mostly in the hands of survivors. Survivors don't cleanse, she only gets one shot. Most of the time, she's just a M1 killer, which again, is a point against her.
I love her, though.
-
As a Plague main, I do get my fair share of hate when using her. Sometimes it feels survivors would rather go against Spirit than her. Been putting together a build that really makes her dirty, and the hate has really amped up. Fun stuff.
-
They'll bring the nerf bat on anything.
With that said, I do agree with a few points in the post. I like Tru3, watching him helped me early on learn tile sets, but I do disagree with his 'underrated' series, at least with Wraith and Bubba. You can't put on the best build, with the best addons, against survivors who can't connect two and two, and claim that killer is underrated. That's just a really good build played skillfully.
-
I don't get 'mad' when a survivor runs strong perks. I get annoyed when all four survivors run the same strong perks. Repeatedly.
-
I don't think the devs know how to stop, or even when to stop, when it comes to nerfing. It 'can't' juts be the addons, right? At least, in their minds.
Nor do I think they actually know how to make decent addons anymore. Look at Demo. Poor guy could use some serious help with his setup. Half of Nurse's addons are trash, with four for farming. Now Billy's lineup? I'd really like to have whatever dev create those sit down, talk about Billy, his power, and then the addon pass. Would be interesting.
-
Hah, he really isn't.

Sorry, looking for an actual answer instead a mad killer who can't apply gen pressure :)
Tunneling is the answer to gen rushing. Why is it okay for one side to focus their objective, but not the other?
-
When I blinked into the ground and was unable to leave.
-
Maybe an hour. Two, three games. Sometimes I might double that, but it's rare.
-
I think it falls under unsportmanlike behavior, but unless you have video to prove it, it's a he said/she said thing.
-
This isn't holding the game hostage. Pretty crappy way to play, but it's not rule breaking. Now, if this was BEFORE the EGC, with no timer active, then yes, it would be reportable.
-
If the killer got 30k, he didn't camp.
-
The devs don't use the PTB for feedback. They use it t find major bugs and try to patch them. At least, that's what they've shown time and time again, and we've yet to be proven wrong.
-
He will. And then devs will nerf him too down the road.
-
It depends. A bunch of solos? Meh. But a coordinated SWF? Yeah, that does get under my skin.
Then there's the groups that'll sit there till the last possible second. If I know they're at the gate, and I can't reach them, or down them, I'll start hunting for hatch. So, it gets annoying that they'll wait a full two minutes before leaving, while I'm sitting on hatch.

Currently, killers have the authority over hits. If they hit a survivor on their end, the survivor will get hit on their end (no matter where they are). This is a carryover from the days before dedicated servers where the killer was the server.
In the PTB, this is actually being addressed though. The killer still has authority over hits to ensure that everything feels the same as before, but if they have a weak connection, the game will reject hits that are too far away. Testing for that starts tomorrow.
Any word on grabs, then? Since a lot of grabs seem to end in failure, would survivors have 'authority' over them?
-
You realize there is no voice comm software in the game, right? What's used is third party, such as Discord. Unless some software was installed that detected certain sites active, or even your own mic usage, how would you know it's in effect?
-
And Plague not seeing her fountains. . . O god. . .
-
@LethalPugy said:
It is pretty stupid that surviours can do that. A simple boop. And it’s stopped regressing. An easier version of overcharge should probably be base kit.
Either that, or have a short timer. As in, you need to hold M1 for two seconds before it stops regressing, and starts repairing.
Or must make Ruin, at 100%, base kit.
-
They want to M1 and teabag out the door, of course. Anything that deviates from that is termed 'boring' and 'baby.'
-
No, they aren't. I really hate this whole 'underrated' bit. They may be underutilized depending on build and skill, but that doesn't make them underrated. Deathslinger has no map pressure, and unless you have good aim to hit that needle of a point, you lose the chase. Plague, bless her soul, can't do anything if they can loop. If they make it to all five gens, it's pretty much a free escape.
I don't mean to say that can't be decent. With the right build, they can be solid, for their tier. That doesn't make them underrated. They simply lack the tools to do as well as other killers, with the same player skill against player skill.
-
Devs aren't catering to SWF. They simply ignore SWF. It isn't a priority to them. Why do you think we have had only one balance pass, and that was with the Kindred change?
The new MMR system in the works, however, is going to struggle with SWF. I don't see it really changing anything in the long run.
-
@Aven_Fallen I'd consider the TR increase, recharge time increase, fatigue increase, and requiring a full meter to be pretty hard nerfs. I can't say from personal experience, I wasn't in the game at that point. Yet I have seen streamers, read up on the, what, three thousand posts about him, and looked at all the changes. Not saying he wasn't bad, again, no personal experience, but on paper, those were pretty substantial changes.
-
I mean, they did show off his video while using addons. . . so can you really get an objective viewpoint on that?
Not to mention how they gutted Legion. That will always bring up warning signs when it comes to 'reworks.'
Then Nurse. Remember, 'slight tweaks.' Now few people even touch her, seeing how unfun she is to play for all but the most skilled.

If Wraith gets a cooldown, the devs will have officially jumped the shark.
As if they haven't already.
I mean, the balance dev did say that Clown is underrated, so yeah, I'm with you there.
-
My issue is the auto aim. O, I'm sorry, 'aim dressing.' I despise this feature. A lot of misses that 'should' hit, only to have the swing make a 180 into a wall or something.

Have a very distinctive sound and an associated status effect that a non-hex perk wouldn't be able to accurately replicate
Could just create a new one. Or transfer what killers hear to survivors. I just feel that a bright warning light for a supposed stealth perk wasn't the way to go.
-
Because they don't like doing something other than gens? Or that killers are the big bad, and thus, shouldn't have a second chance perk? Or that they feel it rewards bad killers. Lots of things.
-
I am curious as to why they would show off their change to Billy, while using addons.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Tinkerer doesn't have a sound notification for the Survivors.
O, I know that. I'll clarify that. I meant a reverse for survivors.
-
I take it you're brown rank? Maybe three, four hours in the game? Possibly four or five killer matches?
DS is 60 seconds. You can do anything in those 60 seconds, including doing objectives near the killer. It's a shoddy perk that encourages bad plays.
BT can be activated the moment a survivor is hooked. All it requires is another survivor, all all of them, to rush the hook and get the save. Even if they were just hooked three seconds beforehand. Or the killer can be in a chase with a separate survivor across the map, who then leads them back to the hook, only for the save to go through, and BT to activate. It's a well intentioned perk that is easily abused.
Slugging is a viable means of slowing the game down. You realize how fast games can go, right? Slugging keeps one player out of the match, and forces another to pick them up. That's two people not doing gens. I don't personally mind Unbreakable all that much, but I do understand the frustration when dealing with a coordinated SWF.
-
Might actually find a use for it with 2+ flashlights.
-
I find myself going after glowing survivors more, simply because they're easier to spot. Especially if they have crowns equipped.
As for 'sweating for the 4k,' I play Plague at red ranks. I'm already punished in the emblem system for doing so, with a 4k, I can black pip.
-
Maybe you're just lucky and either get potatoes, or boosted survivors consecutively.
-
Freddy, seeing as how people always complain. Maybe Clown, since that balance dev said he's underrated. Who knows.
-
It's not cheating, because the devs say it isn't cheating. Does it break what they set out with the game? Sure. But again, devs are okay with it. Thus, not cheating/exploit.
