I don't think its that mr hyde, because that thing in the teaser has a lot of fur, it's kinda big, and mr hyde from what i just read was small and hairy but not that hairy, so i don't think that's him (i might be wrong tho because i never knew something like that existed), i also don't think it's an werewolf because he needs full moon to change and from what i see there isn't that much moonlight there, my biggest bet is on an alchemist that can change into an monster with a potion, especially with the sound of breaking glass, but idk what monster would he change to. I also think that before the glass sound there is like an knife slicing something so idk what that means. So yeah, i don't think it's gonna be mr hyde, i think an alchemist is more possible, we still have so little amount of information tho that it could be something we wouldn't even think of.
I'm sure the entity can make it so a werewolf doesnt need a full moon

For some reason, my mind went to bloodborne. But either jekel or the wolfman.

They kind of run scummy builds and tunnel more often than PC players from what I am noticing with cross play. Why is it so bad with console players? Can someone tell me why a killer on console feels the need to run a build like NOED, Blood Warden, BBQ, and Dying Light all at once? Never saw it this bad with PC players. Worst of all, can't even call these people out for their overcompensation. I may be seething a little bit from all of the tunneling, camping, and relying fully on perks rather than skill with the killer's abilities. Who would not be really?
I may or may not use some of those perks individually ( I like to switch up) but never in an overpowered meta way. We are aren't like that.
As far as tunneling goes, console survivors are... words I can't define.

You can be glib if you want, but new characters, racial representation regardless, isn't a huge issue in the game right now.
Do you want new characters to be priority, or the various playability issues the community is constantly concerned with?
Dbd is a very diverse game and they can work on both, dawg.
That wasn't why I wowed. I wowed because that person said OPs request were more important. Not going into detail as it has no place here. All it would do is start an unneeded argument.

I’ve come to the conclusion that many people, when they reach red ranks, just hand the game over to their kid siblings for a few hours to help them de-rank.
It’s a win-win. Kid has fun and you’re seen as the cool guy for sharing your game. And then when you play again, you’re below the threshold of the every-match-sweat-fest!
I know what you mean. I've had plenty of matches with rank 1 killers who didn't seem to know what they were doing. Having played games with little cousins and such, it's very obvious it's a kid.

I'm thinking the obsession perk should be called friends til the end. Other than that it sounds pretty good.

I haven't read the whole thread, so possibly you've already answered this. How long have you been playing this game?
Nothing you described was outside the norm. And it wasn't outside the norm for normal manners, not even for bm.
Farming blinding points is totally normal. Staying at the exit line to farm is totally normal, just in case the killer decides to pull a fast one. If you don't want to engage, you can leave or force them out. If you stay there, they'll take it as if you're consenting, because that's the commonly understood meaning.
If they stay once you leave, that's a bm. If they click or tbag, that's bm. Chaining blinds when the killer just stands there, it's not.
Also you are correct, I've literally never been chain blinded at the gate like that. Everyone leaves after.

Ffs, will you, people, EVER learn that playing the game IS NOT toxic? Just because some ways of playing it annoy you, it doesn't give you any right to act like other people should not play like that. That's called entitlement and if you will not get rid of "everybody should play how I want" mentality, you should quit DbD (and PvP games in general, no, quit ALL multiplayer games. Play Civilisation, thanks for advise, Mattiew)
Dead by Daylight is a PvP game. Player Versus Player. There is no way that through the coarse of gameplay, actions of one side won't hurt the other, because if they didn't, it wouldn't be a PvP game. There always is a winner and a loser. Especially in an assymetrical 4v1 game.
Doing your objective fast isn't toxic. Genrushing, tunneling, etc.
Stopping the other side from completting its objective isn't toxic. Flashlight saves, any slowdown strats, etc
Sacrificing completion of one part of your objective in order to secure the other part isn't toxic. Camping, abandoning your team etc.
Using ANY things that are available to use and aren't forbidden by actual rules of the game isn't toxic. Playing Spirit/Freddy, using keys, flashlights or mories.
And so on. No matter how it frustrates some people, the tactics and things above are the PART OF THE GAME. And if you dislike that, you`d better quit the game, because this is staying in one way or the other for a long time.
I am in no way new to pvp games, I knew what this game was. Before I picked it up.
I made no issue out of the gen rush, I just stated that it happened. I DID NOT COMPLAIN.
I never once said that people should play my way. I don't know where you got that from.
I did not complain about the use of items. I did not complain about getting kills. I did not complain about losing. Hell I got 2 out of 4, and didn't depip. I'm good on that note.
There were no complaints about mechanics or anything else.
What I was trying to point out is instead of leaving with his buddy, he stayed to grief me. That simple. Never had that happen before, never seen it in all my years. Even watching streamers. That is all. Not what you and other have been assuming.
now for emphasis...

I've asked around in Otz's discord. The average amount of cheaters to playtime people had was about 1 cheater every 500-750 hours, and that was for the 3 people out of 10 who'd actually played against a cheater. You're massively overblowing just how many cheaters you'd see, trust me when I say there are effectively as few cheaters on PC as there are on console.
I'm not over blowing anything. Checking with one person/group(a person I've never even heard of in 4 years outside of this forum mind you) who may have lucked up proves nothing. It's much harder to cheat on consoles these days as opposed to pc.
Guess we will just have to wait and see though. That's enough out of me.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but have you considered that maybe your standing still and not moving could be interpreted as you letting him farm blind points? Educated guess.
Also, if people find this 'toxic' and seek some sort of retaliation, then there's not much I can say, because there was no bm whatsoever according to your story.
I see the point you are trying to make. If I was idle, then you have one. He was at the exit. Like one step and he's out. The other survivor left. I was under the impression he was going to leave after the he blinded me. I have been blinded at the gate plenty. They all leave after the blind.
In simple terms, the way I am viewing it is they were trying to teach me a lesson about being decent to my fellow player. Had the other survivor done it, I wouldn't even have posted. The action was outside the norm, as compared to literally every other match I have played as killer.
Again I'm not mad, others might post out of anger but not me. Please never assume anything about me.

Everyone understands that, you're missing the point tho. We console players like the idea of crossplay with PS4 or Xbox specifically, not PC so we would like to have a specific option to turn PC off.
I don't think it could get any more clear that that. This is the bane of my exisitance. Can can explain things in a way that a 5 yrs old who's is high on meth would understand perfectly. Intelligent people with no hinderances on the other hand... 0 comprehension.

I've put like 800 hours into this game as a PC player. I've run into people clearly using cheats maybe 2 or 3 times. It's really a non-issue, and if you ever happen to come across a cheater, there's a handy dandy report button.
This is true. I'll admit it, I have fortnite hangups about cross play. I'm giving it a chance because I'm hoping to run into a streamer I enjoy watching.

True. Me personally like to drag it out a bit. I typically wait for the trap to activate and the time is half way through before removing it. Makes it more fun and exciting for me. Sometimes I die, sometimes I live. It's fun.

You make it seem like every player on PC is a pro. There are console players who play better than players who use KB/M.
That's the point you are missing. Ps4 and xbox are console. Ps4 player and xbox players dont mind playing together. Many don't want to play with pc, aka not a console. Mostly for performance differences, but also the fact that pc mods and cheats exist. Trust me those will be the next posts. To many cheats and mods on pc end.

The point OP is trying to make is we want more selective cross play. I'm on ps4, wouldn't mind playing against xbox player, not to keen on the pc aspect. It's not even the frame rates for me. It's thebpc players who use cheats. It's not all of them but I'd rather not even be near that.

Literally nothing you described is toxic.
Gen-rushing doesn't exist as it's the survivor's only objective.
Of course he is going to flashlight you when you're just standing there.
I wasn't mad about the gen rush and I did not call it toxic. I didnt just stand there either. I chased him all the way to the door. He was one step from leaving. Or is it now normal acceptable gameplay to do what I described.

@PrettyFaceKate said:
FYI pointing your flashlight and holding is done to let the killer farm Flashlight Evasion points in Deviousness.
They didn't BM you in any way.
You did a gestures of sportsmanship, which is supposed to be done in order for the match to proceed fairly and normally. Then you come here and complain because the match proceeded fairly and normally.
Your whole grievance boils down to this: I let this survivor live once because of a glitch. They wouldn't let me kill them because of that.
And if you didn't want to kill them, then what did you want exactly?
Please, for the love of everything stop with this nonsense. Him not letting me kill him is not the issue. If that was the case I'd complain about every single time I couldn't even get one hook.
I understand this happens, I never expect to win every game. Hell, I know I'm going to lose before it even happens.
If I wanted to complain and what not, I would talk about my very first match and the messages I recieved and what went down when I asked for advice.
My point I was trying to make, which I don't feel needs to be stated, is that survivors blame killers for their behavior, and things like this are why killers do what they do.
Thing is, and it's sad that I have to spell this out... literally any match I have had, once at the gate, I take the free hits and they leave, they dont stay. When he first flashed, I accepted defeat, looked to the person sitting next to me to answer a question I was asked. I look back about 10 seconds later I'm still blind. Never once has a survivor hung around that long. It wasn egregious. Plain and simple.
-
Ah wait for cross play then. Look forward to seeing you whenever that will be.

You apply pressure by forcing survivors off the generators and throwing out the rulebook that basically exists to let them have easy wins, aka snowballing them. Slug and turn 1 down into 2-3, or even 4. Hook as many as you can before their friends get them up.
Except you can't slug them because of Unbreakable. They get free unhooks because of BT/DS. They get free gens because of locker DS. They get free everything because of DS/UB. When they mess up a loop, DH for distance. They even charge straight at you with 4 layers of protection because of how little they know you can do.
And then the wonder why there's so many Spirits and Freddies.
What this guy said.

So, I assume you find absolutely nothing a survivor or killer does to be in any way "prick" behavior? Face camp from the start, all good. 4 Man SWF focused on harassing the killer until they are bored and then hitting gens...all good. Players using bugs in the game to "survive" (looking at you hook tec), all good again? You say other's need to grow up when all you are doing is trying to validate what is otherwise widely viewed as toxic behavior in the game. Who needs to grow up here?
You literally jumped into a conversation where two people were discussing trying to play the game as if it was a game. Trying to treat other players as if they were a living person, and how sometimes behavior of others makes it difficult. You felt you needed to jump in and villainize those people and then say THEY need to grow up?
Please, go stare at the mirror in the bathroom until you understand how off base you are here. No need for any further discussion here. You are clearly incapable of grasping an adult conversation about not taking a GAME too seriously. (Read the conversations before you rant about us taking the game seriously...our conversation was literally about not taking it seriously.)
You play console or pc? Because I kinda like you. Wouldn't mind adding. Might have to wait for cross play.

To him it probably looked as if you slugged him with no way of getting out and set out to slug the others, barring him from normal gameplay, actively abusing a bug there.
Auto haven actually. And sure I could see him thinking that. Not what happened. Hell o even saw the person going to pick him up and nodded at them as I went for someone on a gen who hooked. Even if he just clicked it repeatedly "until he died" it doesnt mean anything. It could be "thanks", it could be "let's bs til I die".
But if you think flashlights flickering is toxic, you probably shouldnt play online games. If that's all it takes to tilt you, you're gonna have a bad time. It's a pixelated flashlight in a game. And if you let THAT bother you, it's done more than its job. Not only does it blind, it now gets under thin skinned killers nerves and makes them play poorly.
Learn emotional regulation. Especially when in reference to playing a videogame.

Babylonia was a state in ancient Mesopotamia. The city of Babylon, whose ruins are located in present-day Iraq, was founded more than 4,000 years ago as a small port town on the Euphrates River.
So shes middle eastern, Arabic I guess.
Ahh makes since. I know Babylon fell to persia, which is why I thought such. Thanks.

I think bhvr is actually okay on this front. The cast is about 30% non-white. A little more if you pull out the licensed survs.
Plus a fair few of the killers are non-white. Wraith, Hag, Doc, Spirit, Oni, Plague, Joey (but he's just a skin really). It looks like they've been very mindful of making things more representative than the norm.
Let's fix other stuff first, lol.
Can we at least agree that they could ad a native american survivor? Possibly with a skin Walker as the accompanying killer?

I believe Plague/Adiris would be either something along the lines of Greek or Middle Eastern given the fact that shes from (or around) Babylon.
Plague could possibly be persian depending on the time of her back story.

really hard to show sympathy for survivors when they act so toxic in game.
Mostly I get toxicity for not falling for cheap ploys. Like not following the survivor who is obviously going to try and run me when I'm already in a chase.
