One time use, place them better problem solved.

Watching this is painful. Wide turns, missed chance to swing twice or more up to where I stopped. You as a killer naturally run faster than survivors you don't need bloodlust in most places and this test will show that more than likely which they will probably use to rework the maps they haven't yet done and then bloodlust won't be needed. All this video did was show low skill needing bloodlust because of simple to fix mistakes and unawareness.

I was surprised and excited that we even managed to do more than 3 gens on Midwich, let alone open the exit gates, and then this scummy perk comes into play. The idea of it can be fine, but the duration is just bullshit.
######### killer? No worries, just slug someone and here's a get out of jail free card.
Whoever designed this perk must get bullied a lot.
Not a scummy perk and not a "######### killer" perk. Its a one time use you get at the end of the game if survivors don't properly play the end game or don't leave. If you get caught out with that its purely on you and your team

No, maps' randomness is what gives this game the longevity and replayability it has.
I agree but I'm starting to think the randomness is too much and it should be toned down a little but. Like leave window spawns random but have set tiles or vice versa. Or some other way to change it. Assuming they ever go for a competitive scene all this randomness probably wouldn't be accepted but I also doubt this game will ever get a competitive scene

Some RNG is ok, but not the extreme RNG that we currently have. It introduces too much statistical noise when you can for example have a Gas Heaven with 2 gens next to god bus vs a single gen by car pile, crane, and a 3 gen with the building and the 2 right outside. That's a wildly different outcome vs competent survivors depending on the map spawn. How do you balance a game correctly when your RNG can swing matches from the loading screen?
Yeah that's what I mean. I was playing killer on yamaoka and a big ass boulder spawned right at the killer shack that the survivors could run through but I as killer couldn't on top of that there was another boulder set with a pallet at with a window vault next to that as well. Like if I'm not playing DS Freddy or pyramid head I'm not catching them there assuming they're not stupid.

I hate this idea.
Me and everyone else who has a job and a life and not enough time to obsessively memorize every game map couldn't possibly keep up.
Plus, every survivor whining about how boring it is to hold M1 and then repetitively loop because they refuse to change perks or anything whatsoever about their build would now be even more bored.
It'd just be one to three map variants though. Not caring about people whining that it's boring because they can play something else or not hold m1 on gens all game. Point is to make it better for people like you and balance the maps better than what they are.
-
Always on. Solo with console survivors is usually ######### for me and it's annoying. Though I've had some that were just as good so that was nice but it rarely happens. Playing killer I see them more than playing survivor which is wack...

They mean this isn’t Call of Duty. This isn’t the kind of game where it’s supposed to be your map knowledge that helps you succeed. It’s supposed to be your ability to improvise, adapt, and utilise the “cards that are dealt to you”
It's things like that they wouldn't have to worry about happening or having to nerf perks to compensate for bad map balance. We've had so many issues over time with map balance because they're RNG. It's getting better but it's still not that great we just started at a terribly far off point.

Also map knowledge is exactly what helps you survive in this game. When I know where a certain tile is or spawns or places I can loop I can use it to survive. When I know nothing of a map I just have to guess and I get lucky or unlucky. Sure you can call it skill for adapting but all it leads to is exciting when it works out in your favor and wildly frustrating and annoying when it doesn't. Especially when you're killer and you see that "fun bus" spawn. Or back in the day when infinites were all over if you knew the maps had those and abused it you could never be caught unless you messed up. The game still works that way now even without all the infinites. Like the reason they nerfed balanced landing. It created infinites for those that had the map knowledge of when and where to use it.

They shouldn't make maps based on RNG. Just make one default map and leave it at that, so that it'll be easier to memorize where everything and not be confused saying "it was there last time" but that's just me
I'd like that too but they want to keep it from being boring I guess but variations are annoying as hell on some maps especially

@AGM said:
In general I like the RNG, but dislike the extremes. If they shrunk the range of the possible number of safe pallets while reducing dead zones by populating them with a handful of weak pallets, maps would feel better for both sides, I think.
Any changes in this direction would be good I think
-
People act like it's the end of the world if either side gets something that helps them survive or kill a little easier. Most killers avoid pallets when carrying survivors anyway it's not anywhere near a meta changing or game breaking perk.

You can't play with people on your platform if they have crossplay turned on and you have it off or vice versa. The icon has nothing to do with what I'm talking about.
I play on Xbox with crossplay off, and I can ONLY match with other Xbox players that have if off too. If they have it on we can't be put in a game even if everyone is on Xbox anyway.
Well yeah... Everyone asked for cross play and if you don't like it you just have to accept it and deal with it or take the longer queue times. Even if you give a negative review of it compared to the rest of the feedback you'll just be that tiny drop in a big bucket.

I still see more variety in Survivor perks. Sure, you get the dead hard - ds - bt clones fairly often, but they have less impact in the game’s outcome for several reasons:
1. 99% of survivors regardless of rank are potatoes that go down within 10 seconds.
2. Very few people can find totems fast.
3. The undying + ruin combination is guaranteed win, especially as you said if you use a moderately strong killer.
There’s no thrill in the matches anymore. You always win. In order to lose as a killer you have to either have zero experience with the killer you’re using or try to lose on purpose.
It's kind of funny they seem to always cleanse my undying first somehow. I usually still win but it's annoying
-
I think they're fine, though I haven't played with them much so
-
Also they may not be a SWF I get a lot of games at night that are like this when I'm solo. I'm rank 1 and I'll get games like that almost guaranteed. I'd recommend not playing during the off peak hours
-
This isn't abuse. The devs made the game the way it is and it's unfortunate for the lower ranked or new killers but some people just play with friends and have a friend that's bad or doesn't play much. I have three white rank friends. So when we all play these matches will happen but it's not our fault for it. The devs have to choose to favor the survivor experience or the killer experience. The only thing we have is a match maker that tries to find a "fair" game where it averages all the ranks. It's never going to be fair. If they make it favor the killer and just force low rank survivors to play against high rank killers but that'd not be fair for the bigger number of survivors. The killer will suffer this once for every SWF group but it's only going to be bad if it's a 3 or 4 man that is actually good.
Now if it were the other way around the low rank survivor would constantly face high ranked killers possibly ruining their experience every game vs possibly ruining a killer's game that one time. Personally I think it's best as is there is no real solution unless everyone magically got good
-
I think it's really fun as a survivor. As a killer it gets tiring and as you said it's def not as fun if you're not a few certain killers... Though they get labeled as OP because they break the standard way to play and survive as a survivor. They add an extra layer onto the standard know how to loop which isn't always fun to deal with. Not sure how they will if ever fix it, but maybe one day they'll try

The base Xbox One and PS4 run CoD: MW at 45 FPS consistently.
DBD looks nothing like MW, there is zero reason DBD on Console can't hit a STABLE 30 FPS.
While I agree with you fully for a while I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They made mobile games until this game. Even then it was in a really poor state on release but they've gotten better as time went on. Eventually I'm sure console FPS will be good but trust me I feel you. Even on PC I can run destiny 2 full screen 4k and get 100+fps on an ultra wide but dbd can't even hit 30 if I do that. So I have to play on my old 1080p monitor or play windowed for it to hit 60FPS. They just aren't very good at optimization.
-
@Pulsar said:
Disagree.
The problem is not the controller's, but rather the FPS.
People have ZERO problem being amazing at CoD or Battlefield on Console. The issue is that they are simply given less time to react to new information.
When my game literally freezes when someone uses Dead Hard, even if I predict the Dead Hard, I cannot capitalize on what was a good read because the game is poorly optimized on Console.
I am sympathetic to the Devs plight, many things to do and not enough time to do them, but it is really discouraging and disheartening to see that Console's haven't really gotten that much love, even though it was promised years ago.
They did an optimization patch before at least once. The thing is they don't optimize enough for new or future content. If you can just get one of the newer consoles and it SHOULD be better.. Hopefully for the sake of the console players. I stopped playing there a year ago and have never looked back. My PS pro Li's a glorified video streaming machine for when I'm in bed now
-
I can agree to this. I think 2 people should reduce it to around 60 seconds
-

Really thought each gen took two minutes with 1 survivor.
-
Just get better. They/We can be beaten. I'm the best one in my personal group. We can get down to the last or no gens but most times if or when I die the game for my other two friends goes to #########. Things like that if you pay attention to the strength of each survivor you can capitalize on and If you capitalize on mistakes or bad positioning you should or will win. SWF or not you will lose to good or coordinated survivors. I've had many that weren't SWF and beat me due to coordination or my own lack of good play. Just accept you won't win every game you play.
-
Freddy had the highest kill rate ever since he got reworked. This isn't new. And he is easy to use. You can deny it as much as you want and if the stats truly meant nothing they wouldn't bother checking them and gathering the info. Freddy is OP and the more they balance the game to not be so survivor sided it will rear its head more.
He has teleportation, auto sleep, and fake pallets or slow puddles. Auto sleep means you gotta run to the other side of the map to wake up or let someone do it and let it be slower each time or give away your position with a failed skill check. Then add perks into the mix. He needed a rework but he never should've gotten the puddles and fake pallets in my opinion. Or the teleport. One of which should go but he got both. I'm no Freddy hater believe me he's my favorite horror icon and he was my main before the rework. But it's too damn easy. It's just not even fun anymore using him. I use him occasionally but he's definitely OP. Doubt he'll be nerfed anytime soon especially considering they may have to consult license holders about it and given that it took them however many years to change him in the first place.
-
Survivor 7-8/10
Killer 8-9/10 but only if I'm using killers I know. If not 4/10
-
This is such a weird post.. It needs to do be there. If I actually need to leave then I'll leave the game. Would be really weird to not have it there. From a game functionality point. Just give a warning to it before they click the confirm to leave
-
It's usually not worth unless you know they won't be at it immediately or have pop. Maybe start hooking someone, downing another and assuming one is still hooked go for another. It pressures them all to take time to heal asap or hide to avoid getting slugged.
-
Just ignore them or block it.. I usually just laugh at them. You let them run you off from the game you just prove their point and they win. They got to make you quit the game so they never have to deal with whatever you did again.
-
Minus the generator part to me it sounds good.
-
I personally didn't have trouble doing it, but I played a lot of blight during PTB and the first few days after release. I love him though he is a bit easy to dodge. I'd suggest using the turn add one if you're having trouble. Once you learn him if you intend to you won't really need them

I’ve been playing this game for only four months and I’ve already gotten bored and frustrated with it. With all the camping killers, tunneling killers, and stupid teammates there’s no way I can have fun anymore. Unless you have a key or specific perks you can’t have fun in soloq. And I have no friends to play swf with so I’ve got nothing. Honestly I’m so close to being done with this game. Either BHVR needs to actually balance this game or they’re going to lose a ton more fans like they’re losing me
Would be nice if they stopped allowing tunneling or camping but it'd be hard to actually enforce and killers would just complain anyway. I can agree it's hard to play and enjoy when if you aren't using meta perks the game is unplayable. As killer or survivor.
-
Maybe don't quit so much for it to get to that point? If your internet is bad and is disconnecting you don't play until it's fixed

thats a general downside she has and has nothing to do with whether she has the Leather Loop / Infantry Belt equipped though?
the point is that these Add Ons have no downsides to them, not the killer herself...
you get one hatchet with iri head and infantry belt brings it to 3 instead of the usual 5 and the other takes it to 2 hatchets. I still consider that a downside
-
If you know you're playing against a huntress that can't aim and will wait till she gets on you to throw a hatchet stop letting her get close. Stop being out of position. Stay near window vaults and obstacles that make it harder for her to get free Iri hits. When you hear her ready a hatchet while you're running to the vault just move into a different direction and then vault the window after she misses. Make her waste the 1-3 hatchets and then loop her as you should. Until she leaves to reload hatchets and keep putting things between you for distance.
I hardly ever see huntress players use iri head and they hardly ever catch me with it once I know they have it.
-
@Mister_xD said:
when the Add On rework comes for her, i hope they leave Iri Head as is and take away her bonus hatchet Add Ons.
those are, by far, her strongest Add Ons - reduced penality for missed shots, gain more potential damage by default and no downsides whatsoever.
Her downside is being slower and having to break chases to reload at lockers.
-
The more you play this game the more you understand why your argument is wrong. It sounds like you're just not that great at loops and linking different loops together to stay alive or counter playing killers.
Most of the killers have to use their perks and knowledge and add ons as best they can to trick, counter, and take advantage of their ######### ups. Being able to do that is what separates good killers from the average or bad killers. Being able to turn the tide of a match last minute from a 4 man escape to a 3 or 4k game.
Survivor is more fun especially if you as a survivor know how to deal with most killers and link your loops it's usually an easy time especially if the killer doesn't try things to throw you off or change up their tricks.
Tldr: it sounds like you have more learning to do on survivor and you're good at killer or your survs you play against aren't good enough.
-
@Dragonivy759 said:
Ah yes, the argument against half the game that isn't actually their fault. How wonderful.
Also I agree with what others are saying. Nurse needs to be buffed
Pls no. I still suck at counter playing her

Undying + ruin isn't even good to me. There are better more efficient ways than undying. Just cleanse it and the hex totems and you've lost two perks as killer When most killers need all their perks. It might work when survivors don't like going for totems or can't find them but all it takes is two people to cleanse while one is being chased and another doing gens.
-
They adapted and most of them probably main her. Along with new perks to help her better

It's just bad luck i guess.
I also remember my devour hope always being found first instead of Haunted Grounds.
Same energy. Those combos are useless to me. I don't even bother unless it's all I have when leveling a killer
-
Red just means I gotta do it more than normal to make up for the slower time. If it's a killer using sloppy I just laugh in botany and heal. I've paired it with the new Felix perk as well. Yes killer keep hitting everyone. My healing speed just went from normal speed to +89% speed.
-
@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:
I think you meant the this combo isn't OP and shouldn't be changed, right?
The thing about this combo is it can be very strong, yes bit it's still extremely RNG reliant.
In very few cases you will actually have to cleanse all 5 totems.
In my experience undying gets almost always destroyed first and then ruin leaving me with only 2 perks in the early-mid game
Dude that's my exact ######### experience and I'm like #########. How are they every game finding undying first???? The only game it didn't happen is when I tried to use devour with it and they kept cleansing devour. But they were immersed because the exposed icon never went away despite the tokens going away so it wasn't until they stopped hiding that they realized they weren't exposed

The problem is comms, not SWF.
-Comms replace: Kindred, Bond, Empathie, maps...
-Comms boost: Keys, Object of obsession, Head on, Adrenaline, DS, sabo save, bodyblock save, palett save, flashlight save...
-Comms counter: Totems, Trapper, Hag, any stealthy killer.
And you don't need to be a godlike player to capitalize on this.
The perks you listed as replaced by comms are trash tier anyway. Even solo players don't use them. The only players that use the perks you listed in my experience are players that don't buy DLC, or they fall into noon trap perks, or they use kindred because they die on 1st hook or get 2 hooked a lot. Nothing will ever come of these posts. Whether it's about comms or SWF because they can't nerf it without destroying their own game for you whiners that claim it's not about free 4ks and it'd take tons of time and resources that'd be better used on literally anything else to better this game. Also they can't do anything about an app they don't control.
