I like the idea of showing the unhooker's aura, but as Nea said 60 seconds is too long. I think 6 would be fine.
Another thing this perk desperately needs is to be fixed. Currently the perk does not light up when you are outside of the 32 meter range, and it should. -
Go with Pig. I am a Pig main and can say it is pretty fun once you master her. The skill cap is much higher than you would think. One tip, though - don't crouch around the map. Only do that in low ranks. It is way too slow, and with the "get gens, get out" mentality of the very high ranks you simply cannot afford to be that slow.
Also, do NOT go with Hag. I do not know why Soren suggested that, they seem like a pretty nice person from their other posts. The only reason to level Hag is to get Hex: Ruin.
The suggestion of Myers is good though. His skill cap is probably the lowest of all Killers, but is good if you have decent add-ons for him. -
I agree. The thing I absolutely hated most about the old way survivors pipped by just gaining bloodpoints was that just 1 decent length chase with about 2 or 3 stuns would give 5k bloodpoints in boldness, and that is already half way to a pip, and guaranteed safety pip.

Legacy was a special reward for people who were playing the game and supporting it in its very early days. You should know this, as you say in your post that you had legacy and lost it. I have my bet that everyone who lost legacy will eventually get it back. I also do not like the idea of only giving it to DLC characters, as then it would feel cheap that anyone can purchase it and say that they are just as special as people who were with the game from day 1. I thoroughly wish that I could have legacy on my sweet baby Wraith, but know that the deadline is long gone, and that the people who do have legacy/lost it fought long and hard to earn it, so they are the ones who deserve their legacy.
Again, in case you skipped over it I will repeat - I am confident that everyone who has lost legacy due to save file corruption will eventually get it back, and will not have to pay for it like you are considering. -
@Science_Guy yeah, my internet went to ######### and I was stuck in lobbies/loading into games for over 15 minutes at a time. I had to do something, and yesterday there were so many interesting opinions that just needed some sense whacked into them!
I am still confused how people had that many posts a couple days ago, and now I am pretty weirdkid5 and some others have close to or over 300 posts now. -
@Mc_Harty did you read the rest of my comment? I explain why I mean that in the comment dude ....
-
@DannySanWolf they should give survivors a base boost to generator progression, though, if they are the last one remaining. If they don't, everyone will start running keys and/or Left Behind in anticipation for being the last one alive. I HATE keys mid match.
And reveal the last survivor aura if they do not work on a gen for 10 seconds after about 2 minutes. That way noone holds the game hostage(happened to me already), taking 15 minutes to find them(not kidding). -
@Jack11803 First off, it is extremely insensible and rude to make a post like this. You are essentially calling anyone who reads it a narcissist.
But secondly, most people do want balance. Everyone just has a different opinion of balance. For example, you think survivors should have the advantage at pallets, I think it Killers should have a slight advantage.
OchiDO thinks the game is currently favored for the Killers, for example. He wants his idea of balance, as strange as it may sound to you or me. -
@SilentBread Disclaimer - take this with less than a grain of salt
Apparently the move to main happens on June 16th -
to the OP - Seriously, just using tab at random parts of a huge wall of text like that makes the world of a difference when it comes to reading it.

It isn't a declaration. No, this sentence would be in Imperative form because it gives a command.
Freddy is commanding the Survivor to Remember him when he gains a token. Freddy is implanting the order of "Remember Freddy Kruger," into the Survivor because that's how Freddy comes back to life, and that's how he is truly killed.
If no one remembers him, he cannot invade their dreams. This is the entire premise behind the movie Freddy vs Jason.
You contradicted yourself by saying it is not a declaration then saying it is not a question.
The OP was asking if he commanding you to remember him or if he is asking you if you remember him -

Still, as I just told you in a different post - a much smoother way to do this, and still let the developers keep their honestly great idea of an immersed game with no voice chat for solos is to create seperate balance for SWF queues and solo queues. Apply SWF balance to SWF queues, and solo balance to solo players. 4 man SWF will get slightly more balance, and the lobbies with 3 or 2 SWF and 2 or 1 solo will have specific nerfs for the SWF players.
You will inevitably have snipers, but a few imbalanced SWF games per day is better than 80% of your games being imbalanced SWF games. They may be unable to do a complicated system like that. The game does run on Spaghetti code after all, so all codes are connected.
The devs have said multiple times that they want to completely recode the game in the near future.
The main thing I am seeing with this discussion is this - It is not possible to balance SWF without completely recoding the game or screwing some minority / majority over. I think it should simply be removed.

@Jack11803 simple fix - balance the game around SWF, and only apply that balance when there are SWF in a lobby. Also create better balance for lobbies full of randoms, and apply that balance when the lobby is full of Randoms.
You will get snipers sure, but it will not be nearly as bad as it is now. -
GOD PLEASE NO
SWF is bad enough, now every game is swf? ######### no -
@Jack11803 I kind of understand what you are saying, but at high ranks(5 to 1) even 1 decisive strike can royally screw you over. Also, it would be unfair to the people than equip Decisive Strike but do not get chosen as the obsession. That is a wasted perk slot for them. And being a Killer main, I know how bad it hurts to lose perks (COUGH hex perks)
-
- Pig
- Wraith
- Cannibal
- Huntress(will go higher once they ACTUALLY fix hatchet collision, PTB did fix it completely)
- Clown, maybe even go higher with him once I get good perks and add-ons

Wake up is quite over powered. It steals a kill from me literally every other game.
-
@steezo_de probably around 2,500. Not exact but I think a good estimate. I would imagine a bit lower now think about it....
No cap to shards, and for player level, every 100 levels gets you 1 devotion and resets to 0. Devotion has no rewards, just makes it easier than saying level 345 I guess? -
- My favorite Killer map was Disturbed Ward. Basically an old opinion, as now after being infinited there too many times to count I hate it.
- Stealth is a viable tactic as survivor, and No Mither effect should be part of the main game(except you still start healthy)
- This game has too many hackers(really just my bad luck).

My unpopular opinion :
Hag is top tier, possibly top 2, tied with Billy, after the removal of the vacuum.Have you played her yet? Just wondering, because the patch notes said to avoid Hag in PTB as she could crash client side or some technical #########. I suppose it does make sense, actually.

Someone do separate tests with survivor and killer and show how much one can make within an hour. You have the same level for survivor and Killer, so you should get the same amount wether you play one or the other. Also it would be difficult to test reliably, because you get more shards per level.
-
At level 21 I got around 150 shards(I think, I will update this with the amount i get for 23 so I can be exact). It takes me about 5 games, 6 or 7 if I have bad luck to level up right now. The early levels were only 40 shards for about 2 games.
For comparison's sake, currently you only get 1 shard per minute in a match, max at 10. So 7 matches would give max 70 shards, but with this system it gives about 150.
I do think it is quite slow of a grind for shards. They could either increase the amount you get per level up, or make leveling up easier. Maybe even do both. -

I use to really like Tyde, idk what happened slowly stopped watching his stuff. I need to find some good content creators to follow.
Depending on where you live, you should watch Tru3Ta1ent stream. His YT videos are fun to watch too, but there is just something special about watching a live stream.
-
His normal gameplay videos on YT are ok, but the thing that really butters my butternuts with him is that he always finds a way to disagree with you, even if it means saying the exact opposite of something he just said a few days ago, or contradicting himself massively.
I respect people who have their own opinions, but you cross a line when you cannot agree with anyone on anything. -

According to McCote in a dev stream once, the Killers go to a campfire just like the survivors, and the Killers also do not know that other killers exist. They are kind of kept in little "entity bubbles" and sometimes bubbles overlap and when they do, [???].
I don't know if that answers the question. I kind of feel like the devs don't even know about their own lore, and just make it up as they go along. If the bubbles occasionally overlap and killers have seen each-other, they must know of their mutual existence. Did they fight? Did they throw a bloody streamer party? Did Leatherface share his BBQ?
Nothing was said(at least, nothing that I can remember).

Just a little tip here - don't upload clips/videos through twitch for people to have to watch. It's common knowledge that twitch is ass at playing back prerecorded stuff. It is far easier for people to watch clips/videos if you import it from twitch to YouTube then post the YT video.

Still not a true counter for DS. A true counter means you can completely negate it's effects without another perk specifically used for that. A true counter is this(or just give Killer a skill check) -
The skill check size starts out as the size it was shown in the dev stream. Using DS still gives the affect of not being able to heal to full. However, for every generator completed the skill check gets about 13% smaller and only the end portion of it remains. This way, it will stop survivors from saving it to exit gates and being guarenteed to escape, but still has chance to escape -
Save them for windows. They force slow vaults and that is basically the only useful thing about this Killer.
-
Disclaimer - I only heard someone say this and they said they heard someone else say it.
The illusory pallets show as real pallets to WoO(I will love using that abbreviation). -
I say real money just for the perks. In a way the Killer met my expectations, because I was expecting a low tier, mid tier at best Killer and that's what we got. I'm honestly just buying it immediately because the shrine will be down for 2 weeks to a month and I want his perks for my other Killers. He is kind of fun, too. Like Doctor, a bad Killer but still a little fun.
I have bought every dlc before this(except for music and stuff) and probably will continue buying unless we get another Freddy. -
@Rush_b_naked Listen up kids, don't go around deep throating chainsaws now!

@lionsou In my comment, I note at the top that they are not at all suggestions. Just me brainstorming how a killer would kill someone using their power, and also adding funny little things like the rectal exam
-
@lionsou I suggested that too in my large comment. I was more polite and called it a rectal exam rather than dry docking...
-
@Venom
As I said in my original comment here, these are just brainstormed ideas and not at all real suggestions -
@Grandma
The thing is, that guy didn't just stand around the hook. He walked up to the basement but then backed away(I shooed him off) because I was there. Yes I was camping, i don't care. It was beneficial to me at the time. Back on topic though, I also usually choose who I give hatch. I am super tired right now though so I wasn't really caring. -
A while back I thought of multiple ways all Killers could use their power as a mori. Let me try and remember them and make up new ideas for new killers... NOTE: Some of these are very graphic
Also, most of these are not actual suggestions, just brainstorms of how a Killer would mori using their power
Trapper - As you said, place the trap over their head and slam it shut (repeatedly?)
Trapper 2 - Open a trap completely, and then shove it deeply into their back. This wouldn't really kill them, but they are NOT getting up from that no matter how hard you rub their butt.
Wraith - Put the bell right next to the survivor's ears, then ring it repeatedly as hard as he can to burst the eardrums
Wraith 2 - Blunt force trauma to the head with the bell
Wraith 3 - While Invisible, beat them up/pick up and strangle/strangle on ground/really anything to kill them
HillBilly - Keep it the way it is right now
HillBilly 2 - Cut [any body part] off
HillBilly 3 - Back up, rev up, cut up
Nurse - Keep it the way it is right now
Nurse 2 - Blink into their body, effectively blowing them to bits once she moves
Huntress - Hers does not use the power, but is SEXY so perhaps keep it?
Huntress 2 - Super Charge the hatchet and throw it into them
Huntress 3 - Same premise as her current animation, but using a throwing hatchet to do the cutting instead
Shape - Secret tier 4 Evil Within triggered by [something lore related to a mori] that allows The Shape to use super human strength and rip their limbs(or just head) right off.*
Hag - Again, she doesn't use her power, but it is still a great mori worth keeping
Hag 2 - Force the survivor's jaw open, place a trap inside of their mouth/throat, and teleport into it blowing up the survivor in a rain of guts and blood.
Cannibal - He already uses his power and it looks great, so keep it?
Cannibal 2 - Cut a body part(s) off
Cannibal 3 - Texas Chainsaw Massacre dance into them
Cannibal 4 - Bubba in the movies is a known cannibal, so perhaps have him cut off a limb and either eat it raw or put it in a bag to take home
Cannibal 5 - Cut their head off with the chainsaw, then use [chainsaw/hands/pocket knife] to cut their face off and either put it on mid match or put it in a bag to take home
Doctor - His kill animation uses his power, so it could be kept
Doctor 2 - Give a prostate exam(check someone's feces for health conditions) using his stick**
Doctor 3 - If they are near anything metal(metal building, hook, toolbox, flashlight, etc.) then throw them into it and then electrocute the metal object, in turn electrocuting them
Nightmare - His technically uses the power, but it's #########, soooooo......
Nightmare 2 - Cockroaches are good for your health
***
Nightmare 3 - Fingergloves kind of count as a power of Freddy Krueger, so use them to make tons of little cuts and bleed them to death
Nightmare 4 - If in the Killer's shack, reenact this scene from the original Nightmare on Elm Street(1:21 for the kill):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UP1vv0wWp4
Pig - Just kill them with a reverse bear trap dude.
Pig 2 - Do the same thing for the trapper kill I suggested, shoving a trap deep into the survivor's back.
Pig 3 - tbag onto their face and poop, causing them to die from injesting feces/ drowing from piss.*Shape's mori was very difficult to come up with. I'm sorry if this one seemed lack luster, but when his power is just to stare at you the only thing could be winning a staring contest and causing the survivor to commit suicide from not being able to beat you.
**This is just a fun little thing I came up with, and obviously I know it does not involve his power and probably wouldn't kill anyone(unless you push hard enough).
***
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_Vm1VHhTA0 Freddy's Kills where also pretty hard to come up with, aside from something comical like making them sleep forever in a little baby crib. -
Hi my steam name is Raging Calm
I main Pig and Tapp, and play Killer - Survivor rotation when I don't play just Pig -
Some extra bits of info for Pig that wasn't on my mind when I made the initial post -
Amanda's secret and Rules set No. 2 are not good when used alone. You must make the whole build around them. Sadly I have yet to experiment with this in depth, so if you decide to and make some interesting finds please share them here.
If you want to farm bp, Pig is not the best. Especially in Deviousness, she gets low bloodpoint gains. A way to increase deviousness is to behind a survivor once you are on their ass(only do this in the open) and ambush attack them. Combat Straps help and are actually a decent addon by themselves.
Crouching up behind someone and then uncrouching rather than ambushing may be better if that person has sprint burst.
I was incorrent with the terror radius - her default heartbeat range is 28 meters, not the normal 32.
Default crouch speed is 92%. (survivor running is 100%, killers including pig is 115%) -

As nurse I play highly aggressive and often down multiple survivors if I can. It slows down the game and knockout is a favorite perk of mine. What rank are you at? Just curious, because at rank 1 knockout never works for me. Too many swf on comms
Is it a specific tactic you do with it? -
@MrChills I am quite pleased that you found the long post informative. I hope to see you in the fog with your new knowledge some day!
-
@MrChills Very interesting. Thanks for the info!
-
I would make wraith totally invisible and way faster in cloak. I would also make a passive where ringing the bell halfway makes survivors withing 10 meters make a slight noise and/or make them unable to drop pallets for a second
-
I came up with a similar but more complex idea a couple of weeks ago
The skill check size will be the way it was in the PTB, but only when 0 generators are complete. For every generator complete, about 13% of the skill check gets removed. when all 5 generators are powered, there is only about 35% of the huge skill check left. A very important thing, however: Only the end portion of the skill check stays. After this change, when the gates are open the survivor can possibly still get out, but the killer also has hope because he can do extra long dribbles without the chance of a survivor getting an early skill check and escaping.
This change will also stop SWF on comms from being able to get the last gen at 99%, and wait until the downed survivor has been picked up to pop the gen. -
I change my build all the time, but as I type this my currently equipped perks are We'll Make It, Iron Will, Quick and Quiet, and Empathy.
My strategy is usually to do whatever I am closest to. If I am close to a hooked/injured survivor, I go for that. If I am closer to a totem, gen, chest, etc. I will do that. The idea is that I am never just standing around wondering what I should do.
I try to avoid chases, but when I do get in one I attempt to not get hit for at least 30 seconds(evader emblem) and then try to lose the Killer.
A great tip is to pay attention to pallet and T-window locations. That way, if the Killer sneaks up on you then you have a planned route to loop/escape the Killer with. -
ok, thanks
