It's not needed Calm Spirit does it's job just fine
-
I will have to wait for the Mid-Chapter first but from what I've read, Discordance is still better IMO
-
Most of the killers I play:
Sloppy- Delay healing for as long as I can
Corrupt- To delay the first gen for as long as I can
BBQ- Aura reading and BP
Whispers- To assist in finding survivors
For the only survivor I play (Feng Min):
Kindred- For aura reading on killer and my teammates
Lithe- The only exhaustion perk I have (I try to get chased the least 'I have Zero confidence in looping')
We'll Make It- Faster healing after I unhook
Spine Chill- Get a heads up as to where the killer is going (plus the small bonuses help as well)
-
I hear ya on that...
I play on Xbox as well... and right now the MMR thinks I'm a good nurse (spoiler I'm not)
But I'll have to play more to really see (while streaming it so I have something to look at afterward)
-
Whispers is a general tracking perk
Discordance is a specific tracking perk
Whispers is good at the start and end of a match also a big map
Discordance is decent throughout match... if survivors do gen together (I have had matches that Discordance never activated)
I use whispers more then Discordance... so I am biased
Whispers is better then Discordance IMO

4head all the purple addons that only apply hemorrhage status. 🤣
Something that could've been apart of it is so that your vision starts tunneling and going black and white the longer you hemorrhaging, because your body starts prioritizing essential functions as your blood supply and pressure gets lower. But that's sort of attached to Deep Wound/Endurance already.
Make it affect skillchecks...

What platform are u on?
Xbox
-
Wraith: Either one or the other of the buff's not both... and again you'd need to re-work the affected addons (including the lesser rarities)
Trapper: Maybe he could start with 2-3 by default but the bag addon allows him to carry more then 2-3 (so he starts with 2-3 traps, but then can pick up and carry more then that... also addon re-work for those affected
Hillbilly: Won't comment cause I don't play him (like at all)
Nurse: So she'll move at the same speed as survivors have two blinks that she can use while keeping LOS to the survivor she chasing?
Shape: Why not make Spine Chill and Premonition work for all stealth killers?
Hag: No to the first one, again addon re-work affected addons
Doctor: Make the first one an addon
Huntress: Iri head only needs the hard cap... That's it
Bubba: Dont play him... won't comment
Freddie: Don't play him... won't comment
Pig: Doesn't need 7 RBT's... she's fine with 4 (5 with the Last Will addon)... all she needs is an addon pass (the buffs you suggested would be good addons for her)
Clown: Re-work the affected addons
Spirit: You'd need to re-work Mother-Daughter Ring if you are going to make it so she can't see scratchmarks
-
IMO... she doesn't need M&A to do good
Allow her TR to do some work too
I use the ambush addons but have found some success using both additional box addons
-
I have booped the snoot
and have my snoot booped
-
The killers that you've played already have their MMR
So as said killers aren't starting from 0 (unless you've NEVER played a particular killer)
also I do agree with the notion of killer's general skill can be applied to almost all of the rest (except for Nurse and Spirit)
Though Spirit has her own way of using the general killer skill set

Pig, Spirit, Huntress, Hag

Some interesting stats on the subject (woo, stats) from before and after the ruin changes:
- The number of matches where all five generators are done decreased from 41% to 39%. The number of matches where only one or two generators were powered by the end of the match dropped by a similar amount, while the amount of matches where three or four generators finished increased by roughly the same amount.
- The average match length fell from 11:28 to 10:59.
- The percentage of matches where Ruin was cleansed (of the matches where Ruin was used) increased from 61.3% to 78%. The average time to cleanse also dropped.
(As always, please do not make blanket assumptions based on stats alone. We would love to share data more often, but if it gets out of hand again, we'll have to hold off.)
Alright... so provide context like this^^ when a BIG change (like Ruin) happens so those who understand have something to work with
Thanks for clarifying though
-
I've faced a few... But their're the ones that die first... because they got cocky and paid for it (not because I tunneled them out of the game
-
Sorry this isn't a perk that need to be stronger... other perks need to be weaker
Saboteur is in a good spot... It's the fact that other perks are better

Awesome! Great to know, guess ill go ahead and purchase on the switch then. Hopefully it'll be worth it lol (I've been playing on ps4 since 2017) Thanks !
No problem...
come September (or later) we'll might get matched up
Till then :)
-
Some time in September
and it will be between: Xbox, PS4, Switch and PC... I'm still not sure if that's even right
-
I would dare say that Corrupt and sloppy are delay perks not slowdown perks
Corrupt: affects the 3 farthest gens for 2 minutes then goes away... delaying the first gen by at least 10-15 seconds (travel time)... Maybe more if the survivors can't find a gen to work on fast enough
Sloppy: Does slowdown healing... but that's not the objective of the game, it's a side effect
I wont go into the rest but there's those two
-
You know I didn't even get the Rank 1 achievement

That's what I had said: the perks are disabled until the killer has accomplished 6 hook states
My bad... lol... I read it too fast

I was thinking Clue
LOL
-
The ones I haven't got yet
-
Anymore?
I'd like to see what you've come up with

Honestly, I don't even read the lore. I stay away from games with too much story and cut scenes etc,... just not my thing.
Some games don't do cut-scenes well...
Other games I don't care for cut-scenes either
-
I've recently got head pops using the increased # of boxes
Which I was surprised to see... also the common first box removal
Having 6 boxes on the map is funny to look at too
-
Survivor: I agree with Bond
Killer: Bloodhound... It counters Iron Will and scratchmark baits, but only works if the survivor is injured
-
Well based off of what's here a "murder mystery" would change to much of the core gameplay mechanics
Racing....... seriously Twisted Metal is a game that did well but faded due to being an offline game that couldn't get online right (i know that TM isn't a racing game but it's the closest to DBD in cars I think)
A 5v5 mode in which A killer and 4 survivors go against another killer and 4 survivors in a "team" mode would be fun and is within the lore of the Entity but not in the lore of the characters themselves (besides Legion, also Nurse and Wraith)
While it is true that DBD would benifit from a new gamemode what kind and how it's implemented are the issues I see
-
There's a lot more that would make balanced gameplay work
Like only having one toolbox work per gen (or something to that effect)
Making skillcheck smaller when two or more survivors are working on a gen (seeing how easy skillchecks are). And having status effects affect them as well
labeling Perks slots for killer and survivors and having set "role" for each survivor rather then a "difficulty"
Having teachable perks stronger on the character that it came with... Like Bond on Dwight or Pop on Clown would be stronger then the others using Bond or Pop. It would actually lead players to have a distinct playstyle on each killer/survivor...
Having maps be hand designed then have RNG use the hand made map as a base... also use the hand designed maps be used in KYF so we can learn that map and spot where RNG messed up
Purple keys will only allow the user to escape and it triggers EGC... Pink keys have a set duration then closes starting EGC
Pink Moris activate when all survivors have been hook or when a survivor is on death hook (or both... IDK)
Those are of the top of my head and not really though out so there're issues with each point... so take these with a gain (or a pinch) of salt
-
@Nos37 said:
If 4 kills takes 12 hook states, and the game's meant to be balanced around 2 kills and 2 escapes, then perks like Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike should be disabled until the killer has 6 hook states.
Right... but if those 6 hooks don't kill any survivors then why disable perks... then survivors will force use out of those perks (making killer feel even worse to play)
Also BHVR hasn't made any attempts to do it yet... other then taking killers whom survivors find "annoying and/or unfun" to play against and making them "annoying and/or unfun" to play as
Or survivors will kill themselves on hook to make those perks still effective... I think the opposite should happen and those perks shouldn't activate until 6 hooks have happened
-
I think the Pig could do with reverse skillchecks
And a meme addon would be a Instant RBT kill "if" the wrong box is searched
-

Saw the usual "genrush" comments & discussions pass by, and i thought it'd be a good idea to ask.
The short version: How mandatory is it to equip one or multiple slowdown Perk(s) on your Killer?
The long(er) version: It happens quite regularly on here for people to share how fast matches can go.
So i'd like for you to imagine your favorite Killer to play as, and then tell us if you use slowdown Perks, how many you use if any, and tell us which those are if any.
Also, if you don't use them on your favorite Killer, please do tell us why.
Older players might remember how good Brutal Strength was back in the day on Killers who weren't Nurse.
While it wasn't mandatory, it was unusual to see a Killer not use it due to the sheer time you scrape from breaking Pallets.
If you currently feel that way about a slowdown Perk, that's when you should mention it here.
I run Corrupt and Sloppy... But I consider them delay perks not slowdown perks
Of course I play: Pig, Huntress, Spirit, and Hag the most while the I play the other less
-
I tend to focus on what happens in the match not what the results are

Maybe... who knows

Well alright then. 😅
You did ask.... LOL
-
Skill on (insert button) type killers are the foundation for the rest of the killers
Learning those skills will make learning the rest of the killers a bit easier
-
Let me share my thoughts on skill/knowledge (for both sides) real quick... Also I might get things wrong forgive me I only get sacrificed first in my survivor games (LOL)
also these are in no particular order
Both:
1) learning maps... this includes loops, pallets and windows
2) Timing... when to attack vs. when to drop pallets, unhook and heal
Survivors:
1) Learning which killer is being played... some are easier to find out
2) Learning how to loop/ create distance against all killers... all killers are different
3) Hitting skillchecks... not much on skill but something that is also learned (also ties into point 4)
4) Learning what perks the killer and other survivors are using during the match
5) Flashlights.... seeing that I can't use them but are used against me
6) Learning which gens should be done first or done soon after
There's probably more but I'm going to stop here
Killer:
1) Finding survivors
2) The killers power
3) Learning survivors perks (all 16)
4) items and addons... both are important and are closely related
5) Learning how killer perks work... Finding what works for you on all killers
6) survivors habits.... their individual playstyles
That's all I'm going to do
I know that that there's more for both sides and I didn't want to get too specific cause I'd go insane and be typing for too long
-
Looks good to me (as a Pig player myself)
-
Good Luck

And there is no problem with that but , why making weird useless addons half the time and gutting perk like crazy , let's take hangmantrick they could have keep the range ( 16 meters i think ) but only working on hook in your TR
It's funny that they changed Hangman's Trick along side the sabo changes there by making Hangman's Trick worse
also it's 2/4/6m
Kindred is 16m
Also the addons that are strong do seem to be common but I think that was a point they wanted "so players have addons to use at the start"

So what stats do you want to see here next from the developers?
It's been a while since we've seen which Perks are the most popular, but even longer since we've seen the least popular Perks, i'd want to see both. (Split up in all ranks/rank 1 & platform of course.)
"cracks knuckles"
Well let's see here:
Maps played most/least
Pallets used per match/broken
Match time shortest/longest and an average
average # of gens completed
Killer most/least played
survivor most/least used (even though their're just skins)
Perks most/least used
keys actually used (matches in which a key was used and not just brought into the match)
Moris used
amount of BP offerings used and rarity (include BPS and Cakes)
Most used addon(s) for each killer
Items brought/used
Accuracy of Huntress hatchets, Deathslinger shots, and clown gas
Average # of hooks per match (I don't care about kills)
"I think that's all"

I'm not sure, but those people exist. Telling them "Piss off for a quarter year" is just not something I can get behind.
Oh I know where you're coming from but if they were to have a re-balancing DLC it would be a "all hands on deck" type of thing
Not to forget that BHVR has grown and are capable of doing something like this
-
@Dead_by_Gadfly How's the stat collection coming along
I think these people need some stats (stat)
-
@SCP_FOR_DBD said:
I agree with this wholeheartedly. My one problem is the chapter long break thing, there are to many people on the dev team that handle stuff that isn't perks that excluding their talents from a chapter would be a waste. People like 3d modelers, graphics designers, artists, writers, ect.
Then why is there so much RNG in the game
Why are there only a few animations for each side
Why is lore only coming out now
Cosmetics are becoming re-colors... or a high price tag for them
DLC is great but so is the base game... but it needs improvements now so the next DLC can be better then it has been
-
Players sought interaction.... they got it
Now the players whom played stealthy are left with the minimum
This game has too many variables for the devs to force things
-

The kit could be basically Wraith and instead of invis he shoots a bow or something
Aztecs use... they have macuahuitl, atlatl, tlacochtli
Plus they are into human sacrifice
I'd imagine a Jaguar warrior but who knows

ngl tho I'd actually be super interested in an Aztec killer.
Me too.... Which is why I mentioned them
-
How about an Aztec, Native American, A Spartan, Viking, WW1/2,
This game can represent not only a group of people but history as well I.E The Plauge, Deathslinger
Also Legends and Folklore

The Spirit
The Clown
Yui Kimura
Jeff Johansen or
Jane Romero

Which killers do you play and how?
What playstyle do you use for survivors?
Would buying any of those help you grow as a player?

The ff duratiin + either green or yellow pin is actually really good, especially if youre running thanta. I run that combo a lot. Double duration is also good. That one ultra that breaks pallets isnt bad either.
Cool
