  • The game awards more points for hooking rather then kills...

But 6 hooks don't necessarily equal 2 kills

If this game wants to force killers around 2 kills that would end up hurting both sides. I tend to focus on hooks rather then kills, BBQ helps me with that. Killers will only search for the first 2 Survivors they see and make those two they kill... not fun for those survivors and it's just as bad for the killer IMO

  • So how about we gather stats on our own...

then post them here for everyone to see...

let's push the issue to show the devs that we care as much as they do about this game

  • It is the goal... but they haven't finished the changes needed

Those stats are on killers only... where's the survivor stats... SWF stats... Perk Stats

    These stats are unfinished

Tbh most of the ppl you listed are really good with almost every killer. Like I could make arguments how Tru3ta1ent is the the best at a majority of these killers. I could do the same for Otzdarva. The only ones I can say I actually think you are right about are Hag, Huntress, & Deathslinger. These killers seem to take a lot more skill & knowledge to master, & the people you listed have actually perfected them for the most part.

I would like to mention that The Pig is right there with those killers in terms of skill and knowledge needed to master

    But I could be wrong

  • Plus I feel like the best advice comes from the lesser known players

  • I used to watch Tru3 but not now

  • @Pryzm said:

I don't understand the obsession with some of these streamers. Many of them are very overrated. Tru3 being one of them. I've seen Zu and Monto do way better at every killer than Tru3. He gets owned by good survivors then blames the game, regardless of his own mistakes. Many on this list are like that.

I think it is difficult to say who is the best without equal playing fields. Same map, same survivors, same perks, same killer/perks. Then run the test. The thing that makes Otz and Zu as good as they are, is they identify their mistakes and learn from them and improve. They don't make excuses.

I'd like to see the devs organize an event where they have set survivors for each killer. Participating streamers get one game with each killer vs these same survivors. The builds are chosen ahead of time and the killer does not know what survivors are running and vice versa. See how well each does.

    That actually sounds cool

  • We are?

We are already playing this tradition. But with better mechanics than this, I don't think it makes much difference

    Won't match the lore?

"One day the entity got bored and decided to tell both the survivors and killers 'do this new trial or you'll experience a real nightmare.'"

  • @2ndBusiestmusicnerd

Not going to put me on the list? (LOL)

    Scott plays Huntress and Oni

  • I know this won't match the lore but:

    a 5v5

A killer and 4 survivors on each side

the survivors have to go to the other side of the map and do gens (2-3) and make it back to their side to open the door

while the killer stays back to defend the gens and kill the survivors

Corrupt would be automatic as the middle gen needs to be done first

among other perks that would have to be banned in order for the mode to work... I think it would be fun

  • I would like to see how it all started

Like playing as the original cast in their first (or more) trials

getting to experience how they learned their perks (plus the base perks)

Throw in (some) light comedy like what Samination does

Then as you get farther in you get all the DLC

It is okay to feel these emotions young Legion.

You are feeling the frustration of a killer punished by their creator for the actions of a minority of the user base who enjoyed this wonderful, and top notch killer.

One day though, rest assured we shall have our return. Old debts shall be paid, old revenge will come to fruition and Legion will one day be freed from the shackles, and unleashed into the fog with a new fury that only downed survivors can satisfy.

    One day Legion. One day

Us Pig mains feel the same way...

Though I enjoy a "good" Legion match

I understand totally. And maybe you are. I was simply pointing out that the OPs original post is biased. A player can only choose “the best” out of people they’ve seen play before, and it’s a single opinion that player is greater.

Example, he placed Tru3 as the best Wraith. While he is a decent player, it took him 3 1/2 years to learn Wraith is more viable using hit and run and avoiding chases? C’mon. Wraith’s biggest strength is 1st hit potential...so make the game all “first hits”. There’s several veteran players that have used this tactic repeatedly.

I’m simply pointing out, no one is going to vote for FakePlayer99 as the best Trapper...even if he really is the best trapper, because people don’t watch him. IMO, just change the title.

I think at this point just offer a video for a player you think should be included and he or us will make it a debate

Sounds like fun to me... especially cause (selfish statement incoming) I just started content creation and this is a good way for people see what you are capable of

  • Legion at this point has been reduced to being worse at what they do...

Deep Wounds at this point are a joke and only serve as a minor annoyance to both themselves and the survivors

the only way they do anything is if you chain 4-5 FF hits and catch a survivor mending/healing after

Their addins are among the worst in the game (next to Pigs). The only ones that "work" are FF Fatigue and FF duration (maybe)

  • Not necessarily with the way the game is they (in theory) take a chapter (or two) and buckle down on issues while releasing a package of base perks to off set not having DLC

  • I hope they do add more base perks... but probably won't

  • Also don't forget to Like, comment and Subscribe for more content... HAHAHAHAHA

  • And chasing that Dwight for a minute didn't help either... but I knew the Claudette would be fixing a dead gen so I had time

  • Also RBT's against survivors whom know it's Pig will pop as many gens as they can before the first down or wait till you've used all of your traps

I've had games that two gens were done before the first down... but I slowed down the game long enough to make a comeback

  • The last dash was a meme... had nothing to do while the animations played out

"Two slow down perks" Corrupt is more of a delay then slowdown, Sloppy is only slowing heals down (not by much though)

On the crouching... it had to do with how I play. I don't crouch around to get a sneaky first hit, though I have done so before

Hawkins was random... the other games I had up were either paired with another killer game or Survivors throwing themselves at me If you want me to I'll try getting another one if that helps

  • Crossplay should help with not having friends... I offer up my service to help those in need

  • What makes you say that... I tend to be harsh on myself so my gameplay may look bad to me

so offering it up for people to criticize isn't hard for me to do

  • I would love to throw my name into the mix on Pig... but I make common mistakes all the time

  • Then factor maps in it as well... there's maps that killers are better on then there are maps the survivor are better on

  • I just want the back end stuff fixed first

    Like Server issues, bugs, MMR,

    Then maps and perks

    Then Killers

  • Until next time my dude.... it's better to have other games to play then to force yourself to play a game you can't enjoy

I actually stopped playing Overwatch for the past couple months... and I might not play it much anymore. It just got to be too much

I do need to find another game to play other then DBD and Overwatch, so all the power to you...

    I wish you luck

  • Their're still working on maps... Think of the ones that didn't get changes I.E. Haddonfield and Ormond come to mind

  • Can I get a Rin survivor skin (please)

Maybe a younger version of All Killers (and the survivors who can be made younger but not too young)

  • Huntress IMO

The bunny mask is like a doll (or a valued possession)

    She's imposing

Her lullaby is the only thing she remembers from her mother

I started playing Nurse on Xbox in red ranks, so guess how outplayed I was the first week the survivors ran around t-bagging and clicking all games. But in some way I think you learn fast also playing against the best survivors. You just need to play more and then red rank survivors will pay.

True... I reached rank 1 a day before reset... but playing: Pig, Spirit, Huntress, and Hag... with Nurse, Legion, and Doc on the side

  • Can I ask the platform you are playing on... some people might join a KYF to help you out

  • They both sound good... I'm fine with them

  • Even with 700+/- hours there's room to improve

  • it lasts for 45 seconds that's longer then it takes two survivors to complete a gen together

I'm not making all these suggestions to be all done in one. Also there's no telling how the MMR will work. There's one thing that should never be in a casual game and that's rankings.

Agreed... but with Crossplay coming BVHR can do more with MM ETC.

  • -No... too complicated

-Ranks should be expanded (10-1) for each color Brown,Yellow,Green,Purple,Red... doing this will be more accurate in the long run

-The new MMR system will deal with that

    -Crossplay is coming "soon"...

Also you're contradicting yourself on the 3rd and 4th points

Right now the MM is looking for matches that can hold up connection wise, then "rank"... and I think that's better (right now) seeing that the servers are new to the devs

  • It is something that will come with experience but at the cost of your sanity

Also while learning everything that this game has you'll experience BM and toxicity as the playerbase has yet to acknowledge that players are still learning and trying different things

If a player quits from Ranked Mode they should have to complete a number of Unranked matches without quitting to unlock Ranked Mode again.

Yes they should... I'd say 5 complete games at first then more for repeat offenders

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/172538/playing-fair-should-be-viable

Every game should be fair, fun, and rewarding but I think we need a clear and objective definition on what's considered fair. We also need to be careful because we have at this point created an atmosphere where players are shamed for using certain tactics, perks, or adds on without any nuanced reason as of why. I also believe it's the job of the developers to craft an experience that leads to the player's enjoyment, there's giving us freedom and giving us the power to completely dictate the experiences of others. I don't want that responsibility when I am trying to win against optimal opponents. It's not unreasonable to want to win in a game that pushes both sides to be competitive.

I do not consider Dead by Daylight to be a party game, its unsure if it wants to be competitive too. The developers either need to make the game into a horror themed sports game or take some measures to ensure that it'll be this fun party game; If they could have the best of both worlds that'd be awesome too.

With crossplay "coming soon" I can think of three things that would make this game fun for "almost everyone"

    1) Expand on KYF... make this mode the "party mode" for those who want to play it as such

    2) Implement an unranked mode... for those players whom want to play casually, and this would be the mode to play in order to "unlock" the new ranked mode

    3) Make the ranked mode have a clear border to entry... Like have 5 killers and 5 survivors past a certain Level "they would have to make a new leveling system for this but it would help those players whom want a more competitive game"... also implement a weekly perk ban "so it's not the same ol' same ol"

Reply with a GG and a :) or <3 and leave.

Nothing annoys these players more than when you don't take the bait. They are simply trying to anger you and get a response and if you retaliate it's like a psychological win for some.

I reply with "What's yer point"

I was told to "get Covid" as well as to remove myself from life (with less but harsher words)

  • Ladders... Survivors can climb up them but killer can break then creating an incline they can walk up

  • @Set said:

SWF is not fair. In NA about 30% of the games I played against during the event were a 3 or 4 man. Playing with my friends feels like easy mode. And playing against an organized group feels unwinnable every time. I don't have fun in a match that lasts 8 minutes without ever being able to put any effective pressure on Generators, and i truly believe that most players who have play extensively at a high rank killer status would agree with me. A good solution I think is to boost blood points gained for every person in a SWF, and possibly make SWF have a much different effect on a players rank (survivor and killer). But overall the game really should acknowledge in some way that when you play against SWF you truly are playing the game on ultra hard mode.

When you're playing with yer friends... make challenges for the team like running no perks or builds that aren't "meta", pick a teammate and do everything to have that person be the only survivor to escape... Make roles for the team (Healer, Gen Jocky, Runner, Decoy... etc)

SWF's don't have to be sweat squads

Going against SWF's can be difficult but that depends on the type of SWF your're playing against...

Honestly there isn't much the devs can do to SWF's other then taking them out of the game entirely (but that won't happen)...

  • There's more that needs to be done besides re-working WGLF... as stated If you die you get no survival points... so

I would change either unhooking or healing to count towards Survival points (cause to me I'll sacrifice myself in order to have the others escape)

On the other hand... there does need to be more negative score for survivors cause right now there's one or two negative scoring events for survivors and 4 +/- on the killers side... if survivors realize that certain actions (Unsafe hook rescues) are bad then it wouldn't happen as often (or having a teammate die on first hook should be a team wide negative (unless it's a facecamp and there's no way to save)

Taking away tiered perks is another way to lessen the grind... only having to get a perk once is good enough now a days (seeing that there's over 100 for survivors and over 60 for killers... P.S. I might be off on those number I'm sorry in advance) Plus 3 killer perks are either good enough or best left at T1 (M&A, Discordance, Surveillance)

Getting more shards for leveling up after Devotion 1 (or sooner) also helps... having access to more shards allows players to utilize the shrine and get some cosmetics as an award for whatever their goal might have been

Implementing a "market" (no real money/auric cells transactions would be allowed) like selling unused offerings (for BP) or trading them in for something you would use (like BP offerings... # of browns get you a yellow, # of yellow get you either a green or a pudding, # of greens get you a BPS)... I don't know if the same can be done for addons (but maybe)

    Did I miss anything???

  • Spirit and Oni (Family reunion on either of their maps...)

Wraith and Nurse (They know each other)... plus Nurse blink into survivors but run right into Wraith uncloaking

Pig and GF (Both crouch walking at you... you better BOOP that SNOOT "or else") also GF waiting by a box for a survivor that is trapped and 99% stalked

I know I repeated but There's so many to chose from...
