  • As someone who plays killer a lot I don't like to use moris as I find them unfair, the only time I do is if I am doing the 'kill all survivors' challenge.

I honestly think moris should be on last hook phase only. Also, and this may be controversial, that they should deactivate for a short while if you have camped the hooked survivor for a certain amount of time.

  • If it counted towards it then spirit fury would be spammed lots. At least right now the survivors have a bit of countering it by tracking the amount of pallets dropped during a chase instead of the killer instantly having it everytime the first pallet is dropped every chase.

  • I had to go with yamaoka, on all systems but the ps4 the new one is far too dark. It benefits none except stealthy claudettes.

  • When I saw the title I thought you actually meant a spring trap. I instantly imagined a survivor being ragdolled to the other side of the map lol.

  • If your suggestion went through that would mean killers would have to leave the area even if they know another survivor is nearby waiting to unhook. I have noticed that if a survivor is looping next to a hooked survivor the emblem that takes being nearby hooked survivors into account still takes points from you.

Ultra altruistic swf teams would love this idea though.

  • The way I look at it is, after they dc and their body lays on the ground, they have died of a heart attack. They could no longer handle the fright and their heart gave in.

Dcs count towards the kill survivors by any means challenges though, I know that because I thought someone cheated me out of one when they disconnected but I still completed it.

  • I have become so fond of playing Freddy, he is now either my second or third main killer, wraith being first and Myers challenging Freddy for second place. He has great gen pressure and good anti loop tactics, no matter whether using snares or fake pallets.

  • I admit to kind of doing this yesterday. I wanted to try to learn the nurse and I could not do that going up against waves of red rank, what I presume to be, swf. I needed to derank so I made a game of it. I chose one gen to protect, anyone came near it I hit them, obviously being wraith they did not know I was there. What made it funny was I had Franklin's and their items were protected alongside the gen and we all know survivors will try to reclaim their items. Once the final gen was being worked on I then chose a door of death, it was funny sensing their confusion as I stood there invisible and they were trying to get to the lever to open it. Then I revealed myself and claimed items again. Not normally toxic in any way but it was funny to me.

I realised this was unfair to the survivors, not fully getting their BP or pips, so I changed this to just running around hitting them. Huge apologies to all in my games yesterday.

I'm still terrible with nurse lol.

  • I have never bought a survivor with shards or cells, normally buy them on the store on ps4, xbox etc. The only time I have used cells to purchase a character was when Bubba came to Nintendo Switch.

  • I have been getting red ping fairly often, but not always, over the last two days. I only have survivor challenges left but it's forced me back to playing killer. This is on PS4, not sure what platform you're on, and I'm also in the UK.

  • To be fair that is the killers fault. If they are being ran to every pallet as gens are popping, putting no pressure on them, they cannot complain if they lose.

  • If you have to use auric cells then I would prefer the reward as well tbh

  • Rick Grimes, Carol, Daryll, Negan or Michonne from the walking dead.

  • As of now it was just a one off but I could not ready up for a lobby afterwards. I thought I had better report it in case the problems grows worse.

  • I will simply say I agree ruin should lose its hex status, gens regressing at less speed than one survivor working on them does not make it strong enough. Hex perks are supposed to be the strongest perks in the game hence the ability to destroy them.

This change is too weak to qualify as a hex perk. If you could still use pop and the like I would change my opinion slightly but as it stands it's not good enough.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

and don't forget that 99% of killers rely on ruin it is time for that crutch to be removed

So why don't they also remove dead hard, adrenaline and ds. Are they not crutches for survivors? Whilst the devs are at it maybe they could also half the pallets on a map, I would love to see how survivor mains would react to that.

Actually yes please so mori's are ######### gutted next chapter

If they gut mori's they should also gut keys since keys are basically survivors versions of mori's.

  • Killers are not being toxic, they are expressing their disagreement with the change, that's what forums are for. When Legion first came out and people were using overpowered add ons that could down survivors in seconds the survivors flooded the forums about that too. How is this any different?

If people never posted who agreed/disagreed with the changes the devs would be none the wiser on the differing opinions.

  • If they added another objective for the survivors rather just gens and gates I could understand the nerf and give the changes a chance. The way it is now it is just shortening games in the survivors favour. SWF will destroy the games in minutes, there may be a small chance solo survivors may at the most be slightly bearable to go against.

  • F and I will constantly use all the mori's I have stored if we start a protest/revolution lol.

  • Less killers, longer queue times for survivors means it's bad for the game. Killers quit, survivors get frustrated about waiting longer and playing less then they quit. Player base then becomes too low, game dies.

How is this good for the game?

  • Maybe there could be herbs on the ground the slugged survivor can crawl to, these show up once downed, and it takes as long to ingest them as it does to normal heal others. The killer cannot see these herbs. This would discourage slugging as it allows survivors to get back up if herbs are close by and they have been downed long enough to use them.

  • I don't mind it being part of the rift but I would still prefer to have the plants since it creates secondary objective.

  • I sometimes run small game, if it pings I go and break the totem. If I come across one without small game I will also break it but now I dont know who has the healing in lockers perk so do not actively hunt them anymore.

  • Samination for the entertainment when voices are provided for the killers, especially trapper and nurse.

Monto, panda, ohtofu, noob3, tru3talent, otzdarva, paulie esther and ohmwrecker are the ones I normally watch otherwise. Can't decide on a favourite as they are all good in their own ways.

I have just realised that I have just started watching space coconuts videos too.

I guess they want it to be like, idk, accepting quests in RPGs.

Y'know, you've killed 10 big spiders in the sewers of Ancient Town.

Then you go to a shopkeeper and they ask you to kill 5 big spiders in the sewers, so you go down again and kill 5 more.

In some rpgs though you can find quest items before hand and then you turn them in just after you have accepted the quest. In dbds case this would be cashing in the quest once we got to it.

BHVR themselves have confirmed that you can only gain the serum through the archives, the serum isn't in there yet because there's no reason for it to be. It will be added when the archives go live.

Sorry, you're right. I have just seen the thread about it.

  • No, that can't be right. I watched a livestream earlier about the rift and there were no serums in there. You get the vials by doing the special gens or hanging on those hooks I'm sure.

The rift is going to be tied into the story or something like that.

  • I also said something like this on a post I made. Those who cannot put in as much time with the game would benefit more from them being passive challenges. It's less grindy than one challenge at a time if all progress to a challenge automatically goes towards them when completed, the one thing this game doesn't need is more grind :p

  • Cross platform is alright with me as long as there was an option to disable PC play or to choose console only but not sure if that could happen.

I would prefer cross saves so if I buy something with cells on one platform, or unlock things in the rift, the cosmetics could be used on the other. This would honestly make me more likely to buy more cells than I currently do, which is not a lot to be honest.

  • That is correct, nothing will be transferred to your normal game. It's merely for testing purposes and a first look at what it is.

  • @Mr_K said:

Increasing the time is not a solution. Adding a second objective is.

I agree with this. Maybe finding fuel to put in the gens or routing the electricity from the gens to power the door, possibly some wires missing or something.

  • If someone is being camped then their job is to keep the killer there as long as possible so others can do the gens. It's also not too hard sometimes to have someone as a distraction whilst another, preferably having borrowed time, unhooks.

As others have said it is a viable option for the killer to get kills, no matter how boring it is if you're the hooked one.

  • I would love this but doubt it will ever happen unfortunately.

They are teachable perks at the moment. They will appear in the shrine just like any other perk for the time being while we work on getting Leatherface added to the Switch.

Will they be appearing on the shrine over the coming weeks or is it a hope for the best situation?

Also, I am fairly new to these forums. How do I mark a post as answered?

What's this part about "at the Entity's disccression I agree at any time to be taken to the Entity's realm and partake as a survivor, to cleanse totems and repair generators". Did none of you guys read it all the way through?

I voted up your comment just because you actually read it to that part lol. I just pressed accept.

They announced in an update to the switch FAQs that Freddy/Leatherface/Quentin's perks are NOT base perks and can only be gotten through the shrine. The first of LFs, Knock Out, is available this week.

This means no one on switch has BBQ&Chili until it reaches the shrine again, or they are able to extend the LF license to the switch, whichever comes first.

I wonder why they changed it from them being base perks? It should have stayed that way or they could have put bbq on the shrine first.

At least it has made me a survivor main on Switch for now instead of killer main like the other platforms.

  • @Raccoon said:

    Any update on this?

Only that they removed the answer in the switch F.A.Q that talks about the 6 perks being in the base pool of perks. Apart from that they said they were looking into it in response to a ticket I sent.

  • The nintendo switch swooped in and stole them lol

There are still a lot of disconnects though

  • I would like them to be earned through the game but since bhvr is not a charity but a business I think $10 is fair enough. This should be for the rarer skins though with $5 being for common skins. So I choose those 3 as my choice.

  • @Chaotic_Riddle said:

I’d rather see someone from the Telltale series than the TV series. Like Lee or Kenny.

Lee or the final season Clementine, or both, I would love that.

  • The game is a big grind as it is without bbq so I like to lessen this just a little bit with the bloodpoint gain. It gets a little boring after a while playing the same killer over and over to get the teachables you want, bbq quickens up the process and allows you to get to the point when you can alternate between your favourite killers.

  • I also think the base game should become free to play, it basically is on xbox due to it being on game pass and it's mostly always near free on PC during sales. They could still sell bundles such as original killer bundle or something. I think with the battle pass, cosmetics and dlc the devs would probably make more money with players who stick with the game after downloading it for free. Some may think they won't like the game because it's not their type of genre, like I did, and not buy it.

The devs do need to try to balance the game and fix the many, many bugs before devoting their time to battle passes though even though I am looking forward to it if the price is right. Please also make it so we can link accounts, I don't mean cross play, so we can at least use our earned or bought cosmetics on other platforms.

  • Didn't they mention in one of their live streams that a killer/survivor ratio was to come? I am sure they did but can't remember what part of the roadmap it was.

Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

  • I voted 2 just because of swf is so unbalanced. If there were a killer after you and your teammates are on the other side of the map you couldn't shout over to them to tell them where the hex totem is or where the traps are.

Unless the entity gives psychic powers... hmmm.

  • Approve with a 'but'.

I am happy that they put in lots of work with the game, especially with getting a new killer/survivor/ map either on their own or altogether every three months. It does take them a while to fix some bugs that plague the game for ages though, that's the 'but'.

  • If they don't fix it then they need to let the killer see if the survivors are swf or not. A new player meeting 4 red rank survivors on comms a lot will be extremely off putting to them

  • Definitely Myers, love his stalking, his music and his tier 3.

  • I have only ever disconnected once and that was against a killer I was teleporting all over the place for. It was so extreme I felt I had no choice but to dc. No matter how well or badly a game is going, apart from that one time and only if that happens again, I won't disconnect voluntarily as either survivor or killer.

  • I only report if they have disconnected whilst downed or hooked, I see most of these as rage quitting. If they are running away, or moving at all, or are nowhere near me I treat it as a non voluntary disconnection and don't report them.

I have been thrown out of the game on occasions whilst running or hiding from the killer so I understand these things happen.
