while i agree that survivor perks can be just as boring (especially if you're having a bad match), things that survivors can run is to counter crappy ways a killer can choose to play, like bt/ds for tunneling, and unbreakable/soul guard for slugging. If you dont choose to play in ways that heavily include that, you don't even see the perks in the match even if they brought it. Meanwhile something like Tinkerer you can't actively avoid, because you HAVE to do the generator. You can counter it by leaving early as soon as you hit the gen %, but they're still gonna get the undetectable and notification.
See this is something I hate. We don't know who started using meta perks to counter meta perks but it doesn't matter anymore. Now all you have to say is "well i do it cause they did it." Mind you this has nothing against you I just hate this mindset and the idea of it for two reasons.
1) Just run whatever the hell you wanna. Don't matter what people think video games are bought so you can have fun. If you'r favorite build is deemed unfun so you can't use it that sucks and will make people quit faster than ever.
2) There is no way to reset it. Once the idea of "well they have meta perks time to try and counter by brining my meta perks" theres no stopping it. Its an endless cycle with no way of stopping
In short, it's dumb and stupid and i don't like the mindset. Again nothing against you I just hear this so often I've started getting semi angry at it.

Doesn't change that OP is asking a question they've already asked before
I can see why he'd do it, just like for the "human interaction" y'know just talking to people. Don't get to do that too often.
-
@FancyMrB said:
You are right people don't think about him enough but I think that is because he is a pretty solid killer. Yah he isn't op but he is not a push over.
I like your stairs idea ^^ I would like to see how it is to play as and against.
Yeah that makes sense no one really talks about the solid killers just the weak ones and the op ones. But I mostly thought of it because I just had a match on The Game and thought to myself " Y'know what'd be awesome right now, for electricity to work as electricity does in real life." I'd love to see it implemented into a ptb or something like that just to test it I think it'd bump him up to a solid bottom of A or top of B seeing as height is his main weakness. He'd still have plenty of counter play but this just makes him more viable on more maps.

I agree. I'm not holding my breath for it to happen. The idea alone is enough to get creative thoughts turning. What would his power be? What kind of Perks would he have? Would his terror radius theme be similar to his League theme? Stuff like that.
The only problem is I don't play the game. Not my type of game still very interesting character maybe someone with the knowledge will come through. All we can do is hope or just go do research but its late and I'm tired and I don't wanna. So I'll just opt to wait :)
-
That would be pretty neat to have a non-horror character added from another game. Well I say horror very tightly but still very cool. Only problem would be licensing and how he would work.
-
There are a few killers that can in very certain scenarios but yeah needs a big change. Preferably sooner rather than later.
-
I don't think that NOED is earned but to me that doesn't matter most perks in the game aren't earned. Plenty of both killer and surv perks are just given out. I don't see whats to be angry about. I'll play whatever perk I want when I want, doesn't matter what any creator (or anyone else for that matter) says, don't matter if I love their content or not they cant control what I feel is fun simple as that.
-
I do as Doc and other anti-loop killers just to get the pallet out of the way. But with any other killer I'll run them for one loop or so to gauge their abilities then leave if its too much. Sure its good to get the shack pallet out of the way but it doesn't matter in some maps. So in other words it's very situational.
-
No matter how much I want him to be Doc is nowhere near that high. They're just taunting me at this point.
-
Response
-
Bought the look-see doc skin and the blighted doc skin and stopped they were all I needed then and I vowed I wont spend anymore money on it. Im broke enough as it is.

Oh thank god its not just me I thought I was just being stupid and I was more rusty than I first thought. I thought I was just not remembering the right distance.

I’m on console so I don’t have EGC, although I wouldn’t care about that, I care much more about how the game progresses and what happens within it.
With that said, I’ll try a different approach wrt discussions on here and see if it can be more productive and yield different results.
Finally I got someone to see a different point of view! I am very happy right now and I wish you nothing but the best on you ventures.

I see your point, but when applying this in game, I always get hate for saying stuff like this. I say that I never play deathsquad SWF, I rarely use 4 meta perks, I never BM, etc and that I am not shown that same respect in the game. The BMing survivors experience is often dismissed as ‘strategy’ by the killer, when it really isn’t. All of us who have mained killer know damn well what is and isn’t necessary.
Yes I know I deal with all of that and I do the same heck me and my friend play survivor a 2 man as double no mither only david for fun and we still get salt when I somehow run a killer for 3 gens. I get how hard it can be but trust me once you have a more positive outlook on these things it gets better the people complaining in the endgame chat don't matter anymore all that matters is that you had fun that game. I've stopped caring what other player think of me if I wanna I'll run NOED if I wanna I'll run bloodhound after all its my enjoyment I'm looking for. And when i get salt I say " gg have fun in your next game" more times than not it shuts them up, sometimes they'll have a change of attitude, I've even had people apologize for their rudeness its all a matter of what is happening in the moment if you take nothing else from me just take this often times having a positive outlook no matter the person can change how much fun you have. And after all isn't that why we play video games for fun?

I’ve always shown respect to people when they do to me, but people on here immediately result to saying I’m biased despite having mained both sides, and a liar countless times when I’m literally saying my opinion and experiences.
Ok think of it like this I main the Doctor when people play me how many do you think are happy afterwards. Pretty much none I get salt and anger to no end but still I try to be kind and respectful. People will always be rude and be disrespectful but that doesn't mean you need to be too its not a matter of " He was mean to me so I was to him" thats stupid and its how this game got so toxic to begin with if we can be nice and respectful to most people we can turn this game around for the better. Thats what I mean. And when people think your biased just lead with I main both sides and don't say " this forum is full of killer mains." It makes you seem biased to one side. You see how words like that can be a problem. Both sides are stupid let me say that but all that means is we could be stupid together.

Lets go putting Doc at number one. Absolutely love to see it
Its sad to know how few people like him but it makes sense I suppose.

sry buddy but this is the DBD community we are talking about.
sigh I know but all I want is for someone to have a civilized conversation I know its possible but people just refuse to see a POV other than their own. And if just one person would I'd be happy.
-
Honestly I feel people would take you more seriously and overall communicate better if you weren't a jerk to almost everyone if not everyone with a different opinion. I'm willing to hear you out and listen to your though process even though I don't agree. So long as and only so long as you promise to be nicer to people and just think from their point of view. You cant want people to see your point of view if you refuse to see theirs. Who know you may just sway me. ;)
-
Ok this isn't that bad without context like when are they doing this just during the calm times or mid chase cause I know as a killer main if I see something like that happen mid chase I'm stopping and immediately chasing the sandbagger.
-
I got my doc to prestige 3 and my david and cheryll and then I stopped I thought those are the ones I like then forced myself not to prestige even though that little button in the middle of the bloodweb calls my name EVERY TIME. It's not an easy path but still one I travel.

I agree, anything done in the correct circumstances isn't toxic. But this doesn't apply to most circumstances of camping. I'd agree for the rest.
The secret to life is timing and moderation.

So what you're saying is just excuses for camping and tunneling.
No whats happening is that you refuse to learn when someone is making a good play do you really expect the killer to chase someone for 5 minutes when they cant catch them and you went down in 15 seconds. It doesn't matter if you've been hooked you are the weak link if no other option is available you're gone a 1v3 is much easier than a 1v4 simple math now until you learn to see a different point of view don't insult people for not seeing your point of view and don't assume others intentions. Pretty simple aint it.

How is camping or tunneling an amazing play though? You don't need to be a good player to camp/tunnel, that's why a lot of rank 15-20 killers do it, because they're still not good at the game
If they have to camp me a little to get more pressure on the other survivors and tunnel me a bit to keep the others off gens and come help thats an amazing play if we have 4 survs left and he has to get me out in order to win I applaud you you had the correct decision making to get me out in order to win. If the killer goes around only hooking survivors after hooking all the other ones thats stupid and you're not winning like that if you have to do something to win thats fair I cant complain i'd do the same if it decided the game.

Neither noed or tunneling (not proper tunneling where they throw the game to focus one person, but the one where they go for the injured one) is toxic, as much as flashlight saves and pallet stuns arent toxic.
I'll agree with camping outside of getting the last kill.
I don't think that camping or tunneling to win is toxic either it just cant be super heavy like never touching anyone but your desired target then looking them in the eye as they die extreme. But slugging camping and tunneling when necessary I have no problem with. I applaud the people who make such decisions when needed. If you make an amazing play to get me out of the game that gets you the win good on ya I say.

Well it's hard to not complain when people genuinely go out of their way to make other people have a bad time. Not to mention people who complain genuinely want the game itself to improve and others want to see the toxicity in this community die at least less than other gaming communities because now this game has a rep for how bad the community is. Going into it that was the first thing I was informed of.
Also people will care about how others enjoy themselves if them enjoying themselves literally stops the other person from actually playing the game they paid for. In this case, tunneling and ensuring at least one person has no chance to do anything but hold shift and press space just because they stunned you once or you just want them gone from the game is prrreeeety... "unfun" and every other player paying attention usually knows how hopeless trying to counter that is. Which is why the solution is to just do the objective and leave. Not much of a game at that point.
Its never fun when people bring all the best stuff on both sides cause they dealt with the worst type of people last game thats my main point it never stops and it never will once the cycle is started it will never end and the fact that we cant talk to each other without insulting each other and just being rude in general makes me lose faith in this community little by little there are some people on this forum who are super nice and positive but those are few and far between. I love this game and if the community can get just a little nicer maybe we'd have more players and not fight the same people 75 percent of the time.

Honestly it's just a case of people not reading the post properly.
Yes that is part of it but its mostly cause are people not wanting to admit that their side is wrong for once and they just hate the other side for no reason its not you versus another person after the game is over we all play the same game and without the other side there is no game people don't seem to realize this and are just toxic to the other side just cause they are well not on their side. If people would just say gg, not complain, and not care how another person enjoys themselves I guarantee this forum would have a lot less complaining on it overall. There is no right way to play this game because its a game people play games because they like them being forced to not play the way you like in a video game is stupid and thats just facts.
-
Easily Wraith I love the funny bing bong man but I SUCK at escaping or looping him I always overthink or underestimate his super speed lung and end up going down.
-
This really is just a circle of pain and suffering I don't even know where it starts. The circle is clear one side is toxic to the other then the other then the side who lost to toxic ( add role here ) then becomes toxic to the next ( add role here ) then the cycle continues. It leads to survivors running bt, ds, ub, and dh and killers running NOED and camping and tunneling. It never stops it just keeps going cant we just stop the toxicity for once and just have a conversation where we sit and talk like adults and not scream at each other and I am ABSOLUTELY talking to some of the people in this post.

Oh and something else you missed, dbd has lost the Stranger Things licence and all content not owned by players will be removed from the store from November 17th onwards. Hawkins will be unavailable to play on, the map offering will be retired from use, and the teachable perks will become generic bloodweb perks.
Nooooo that sucks I love my boy demo how could this be. :(

Well chapter 20 was resident evil with the nemesis, jill and leon with the RPD map.
Mid chapter of that introduced a trickster gameplay update and several survivor appearance updates.
Pinhead from Hellraiser, called The Cenobite is the newest killer currently on the PTB.
How good are the two new killers

Thats completely understandable but dont worry, those who play solo Q dont really expect much from their team anyway, and if they do then thats on them
Looping as well is not the main skill as a survivor, while it certainly helps being a good teammate helps even more, just keep this is mind: always have at least one person on a generator at all times, and dont result to stealth all the time, when ever the opportunity arises practice your loops, there are plenty of guides out there on YouTube and if you want I can also give you a few pointers
Sorry for the late response I was out doing some things.
Thanks though that really does help me feel better about it
-
@Shroompy said:
Dont really worry about it, ranks dont necessarily matter in this game, theyre just a personal achievement at this point.
All you being higher rank does is give you a slightly higher chance to go against a streamer or the VERY rare god tier killer
Well its the fact that I don't know how to loop, I can only run the killer in extreme cases and I have no confidence in my abilities. I've let my team down more times than I can count. I am an actual gray rank in purples I can deal with brand new killers thats about it. I just don't wanna cause problems for the people who are actually good at this game on the survivor side y'know.
-
The only problem I see with some of this is that killers like trapper can get really good cosmetics that hide traps good. Buuuuuut then again a shadow buff to trapper is just needed at this point so yeah go ahead and do it.
-
Ima be honest I love water in games if they make a beach map and let the killers walk around in the ocean (which would never happen) I would just sit in the ocean who cares if i lose not me.
But really I love water and the beach vibe in games and if the devs could make a beach or a tropical island without oversaturating it with too much brightness I'm there every single time. Ill pay 20 bucks for a beach map with a beach Doctor skin.
The doc skin is simple his head has goggles for swimming with a little sunscreen on his nose, his weapon is an umbrella, and his lab coat is now a tropical shirt its unbuttoned and he is wearing swimming trunks with flip flops. Best skin.
-
Just up his movement speed, make main event not only active for 10 seconds maybe like 30-45 seconds maybe even let it stay until you need it, and fix the recoil on console. Boom I touch him again.

I personally love fighting games and do use this type of stuff to get into their heads but there is always a gg after so I don't find it too mean to do.
-
Try and slug me - UB, Soul Guard, No Mither, Any thing can go here but I prefer Q&Q cause why not
Thats just something I've been running lately. The only thing I can guarantee is your games will be rather quick if you cannot loop.
I know from experience :(

Franklins that is my change :)
-
Jeez a battle of the giants I see I feel Oni would get tired of looking at Nemesis's smile and just RKO him. But then again Nemesis got those tentacles. Hmmm this is a rough one.
-
Well yeah their already cocky and thats not going to change unless killer gets to be a threat. Most the killers aren't scary. Survivors normally know where the killer is since there is a TR. Games just not scary simple as that.
-
I don't think its fully them maybe a 40 percent them the other 60 is just the fact that it's a pvp game with one side that you can choose and prefer. Its just cause people like for their side to be better. Now do I think that some people increase that by a great factor YES 100% if a killer main that is popular says "survivor is too good" then some killer mains will think the same and that idea will spread now if a popular survivor creator says " Killer is broken" then the same will happen. Its just the fact that more times than not people don't wanna be on the losing side so they make the other side seem broken so they can be more nobel by playing the losing side or they get the other side nerfed. At least thats my take on it anyway.

Hopefully the second one sounds that good. 🤨
Again its highly likely people will abuse it or find a way to but as long as people don't mass abuse it, it should be fine and it would be a good deliverance buff. The perk is good but its missing that extra oomph that keeps it from being played more and this would definitely help it but again thats only if people don't abuse it or get crazy with it its why old ds got nerfed people just sat on gens in the killers face or got in lockers they forced it and they never got punished stuff like that is what makes this idea a possible bad one.
