I have tried to. Otz and hens have videos on it. But the gameplay is boring. There is nothing interesting about watching a survivor just predrop everything at 5 gens. Or seeing a killer camp and tunnel hardcore.
Nobody said anything about it being boring. I don't find it boring at all.
You specifically said you didn't learn anything from it.

The only thing I actually learned from comp dbd is using lockers vs nurse and blight. Other than that, total snooze fest gameplay on both sides
Should probably try to watch it with an open mind then.

We're winning.
-
Good
-
Because Slipstream is FAR too powerful to just be an effect that you can't get rid of.
He's a complex Killer, but once you understand the EMP economy and how Singularity is stronger at the start of the match, it gets pretty easy and fun.
-
There's 32 Killers now.
A Killer has to be extremely popular to be seeing them with any frequency.

I like how you take what i said, create a strawman, then argue against that.
The person said:
"Bruh if you are repairing a gen in a dead zone and you hear the wraith, you are screwed."
The answer to that is, why are you repairing a gen in a dead zone when you don't know where the wraith is or you don't have some way to deal with that? This is precisely the problem with survivors in general. They expect every single killer to be "countered" by doing the exact same thing, but that is not the case. Some killers are better at some things, but worse at others. That is just the nature of the game.
To expound a bit on my statement though. Wraith is great at catching the survivor by surprise. If there is a generator that you know is in a dead zone, you should not be repairing it unless:
- You know where the wraith is
- You have a perk like sprint burst or lithe with a nearby window to get to safety if the wraith appears
- You are not injured.
Especially that last one. You need to use game sense and examine what is happening so you can make a decision about what the best play is. Survivors don't have to repair every single generator, go try and repair a generator NOT in a dead zone. And if "wraith is camping it" then sounds like you CAN repair that generator in that dead zone because the wraith is busy doing other things.
For the record, I was meme'ing.
You can tell because I didn't actually make any arguments. I just said my ######### and terrible one-liner and left.

The perk is equipped by almost every survivor and for good reason. (Usually with high synergy builds)
Sooner or later they'll fix the busted perk. In the mean time playing survivor (or another game) is best.
Bringing a BRAND NEW PERK that has been hyped up by content creators doesn't really prove anything.
If the numbers are still high in a couple of months, sure, but using the high usage rate as a justification isn't really a strong position.

Your problem there is repairing a gen in a dead zone. If you know its a wraith, you shouldn't be doing that kind of thing unless you know the wraith is occupied somewhere else.
Simply don't do gens.
-
I find it to be quite enjoyable.
The map is new and unique, I like the different terrain and I enjoy the alien architecture and fauna.
I like Singularity. I think he's a very good Killer.
I also quite like Gabriel and his perks.
-
I'm not really having many issues with it.
Most Killer powers aren't meaningfully impacted by it.
Rather than nerf a genuinely strong and interesting perk, perhaps we should buff those Killers.

I don't understand how you guys have reached this conclusion? Given that there's been valid complaints about the perk AND has gotten to #6 pick rate on nightlight (which means way more than it doesn't). What statistic is it now that makes MFT okay?
Don't put any stock into NightLights stats

Sounds like a skill issue to me. We have to stop always blaming the console or controller.
And i play on Playstation myself.
It can be very difficult.
It's one of those things that can be overcome, but the Killer just won't ever be as good as they are on PC.
-
Nah, it's actually pretty entertaining and there's quite a bit of really high-skill gameplay that goes on.
Definitely a rare choy miss.

Welcome back!
Little odd to see the old Trusted PFP's. Not many of you guys left around.

I don't see that written anywhere so I'll just assume "we" are talking out of your rear. There's a difference between "we can't regulate your discord" and "we intend for you to do this".
When they add comms to the actual game, then it will no longer be cheating. Using tools outside of the game to gain advantage = cheating. This isn't really a controversial take, you just don't like hearing it.
The official DBD Discord Server has SWF voice chat rooms.

exposed on bloodlust is easy to outplay. you just stand still and bloodlust does not build-up. Personally I like the event for survivor because it is actually challenge to escape. normally survivor is kinda boring because most of killer are kinda weak but the event pallet break makes every killer a lot stronger and fun to play vs. I imagine escape rate for survivor on this event is going to be like less than 30%-25% but for high-level. the game feels more balanced. killer is fun to play because basic m1 killer are a lot more playable.
That's fine, it's still a really dumb mechanic that rewards really bad play.
-
I'm okay with the pallet breaking and pallet respawning. I think both are cool.
Exposed upon Bloodlust is dumb and so is the window blocker
-
Do you have any gameplay that you can share?
Maybe some of the people here can help you out a bit?

They are grouping on gens with a couple left or 3 max which is perfectly efficient. It's NOT efficient to group at the beginning of the trial. So what you said isn't true. I know when I'm going against an efficient team I have plenty of hours in the game. If I'm getting downs rapidly and gens are still being completed that's efficient. This game has a massive problem right now where the killer can outplay the survivors in every chase and it doesn't matter because the survivors still blast through their objective.
It didn't feel this way when I first started playing as much as it does now. As far as the two options I have neither feel great to pick from. Tunnel and camp and become one of those killers or play the way I want to play and lose more which I'm fine with. What I'm not fine with is losing when I feel like I've outplayed the opponent. Sometimes I suck and I can admit I deserved to lose and other times I feel like it wasn't deserved.
Yeah, that's called Survivors who can play the macro game. Not many people do it. Unless it's the last gen (or if two gens have a lot of progress) it's almost never worth it to group up. You need to also play a good macro game, it's one of the reasons I don't really have any issues with pub Killer. However, you've said you don't want to do. That's totally fine, but you've got to accept the consequences for rejecting efficiency.
When you first started playing, you probably weren't as good as you are now. You weren't matched with these people, presumably.
I will say a harsh truth. If they are splitting pressure on gens and forcing you into these bad situations...you aren't outplaying them. You may be better than them in chase, but they're still winning the attrition, gen and macro battle and that is absolutely something within your power to stop. Like you said though, you don't want to be an ######### and play like that; which is totally fine and I get it! You don't need to play that way.
I get that it can be frustrating to feel like you're winning chases. And DBD does a good job (at the average and above-average level, which is where I suspect you are) at reinforcing the idea that "short chase = I win". Once you start finding teams that can play macro and understand how to really push a Killer WITHOUT being good in chase, that's when you start to exit the "Above-Average" tier and get into the tier of people who really really understand DBD and WANT to win.

Yeah if you camp, tunnel, and play like a scum bag sure it's easy. I don't enjoy playing like that.
When your at a higher mmr and you play 5 or 6 games in a row where you need to sweat to just get a 1 or a 2k its pretty tiring and starts to feel more like a job then a game that you are playing to have fun. And by sweat I mean sweating going for multiple chases and spreading hooks also while pressuring as much as the map as you can. When going against good survivors teams it can in fact be supremely difficult.
If you don't enjoy playing like that OR against super sweaty gameplay, then I don't understand the point of this post. You've stated that you aren't playing optimally or efficiently (and the Survivors aren't either, judging by what you're telling me about Discordance) but, let's say they are, somehow, playing efficiently by grouping up on gens. Why should you be able to win, whilst admittedly not trying very hard, against people that ARE trying their best?
There's really only two options for you, you can either:
A) Decide that winning is more important and that you'll match sweat with sweat.
or
B) Decide that having fun and playing you're way is most important and that the outcome of the match doesn't matter so long as you do what you enjoy.
Will this suffice as an actual discourse opener?
-
lol.
I promise you it's honestly not supremely difficult to win DBD games.
-
I suppose I wouldn't mind those two.
The window vault one and the Expose one are fun, but not really balanced
-
He's strong, a blast to play, enjoyable to face (in a vacuum) and has a high skill cap.
-
D3AD's a really good Killer but his "toxic bully swf" thing is really just....ugh.
Wish he'd quit that.
-
IF anything from FNAF was added, I wouldn't really care about the design.

The pay-off isn't worth it compared to the time wasted. Constantly wasting 5-10 seconds to potentially have the best guard isn't worth it. The payoff is definitely worth it if you could cycle Guards without wasting time.
It's unnecessary.
Most really good a Knights don't really need that.

Uh no. Cycling 1 guard wastes 5 seconds and has an addition 3 sec CD. You can't go around constantly wasting time cycling the guards. Typically the pay off for potentially having the best guard isn't that much better than having any other guard.
If the payoff isn't impactful, why make this topic?
I understand that the smacking method isn't usually viable, which is why I tacked it on.
You need to think ahead and understand what situations you may find yourself in, in say, 45 seconds.
-
You need to manage his Guards and be prepared for the situations you may find yourself in. You need to think ahead and cycle Guards when necessary.
You can smack them if you want to cycle.
-
The guard cycle is an integral part of his gameplay.

Yes. I agree with you on Wraith being a pub stomper.

Sadako doesn't need uncloak speed boost since her uncloak is way better. If Wraith had her uncloak, it would literally be a guaranteed hit on every uncloak.
I don't think so.
I'm already at 10 I think I haven't really been trying.
They've been streamed as well.
-
I like Wraith's TR one, it confused the hell out of people.
-
I'd recommend saving, honestly.
It's clear BHVR is either incapable or simply doesn't care enough to pull through on their optimization promises. I wonder why cross-progression isn't happening. I'll give a hint.
Sorry that you've been getting motion sick. Only a few treasured last-gen players remain. Now, if only we could get 60 FPS. You know, I think there was a thread about that once.
:)
-
I've begun the streak.
-
I keep getting sent to EU servers and I am not having a good time.
-
No thanks.
Just give me a concede button and then replace me with a bot or something, idk. I've really got no interest in being stuck in a 3v1 at 5 gens, but I've currently got to play that out.
-
Yup. Seems like you've been on the receiving end of the bad matchmaker.
This is a skill issue, but it isn't your fault. You're getting thrown into matches that you shouldn't be getting into.
I could try to give you some tips or analyze gameplay if you'd like?
-
@VirtuaTyKing said:
Gen speed is just plain silly now. Anyone who argues otherwise is a survivor only player period.
If I run deja vu and prove thyself and a couple join the killer doesn't have time to even reach the gen most of the time let alone defend it.
No the game isn't over when 2 gens pop against a bad team. Against a good swf though it's just laughable.
Gen speeds are pretty okay. I'd maybe change the maximum and minimum speeds, but that's it.
Sincerely, a killer main.

Not being exhausted and dropping from a height? Like I said, I can easily concede that actually takes some thought. Just not as much as people like to claim.

Balanced landing is the only one which I would concede requires some thought to use. The idea that lithe and especially sprint burst are difficult to manage is laughable. Anyone with half a brain can plan to use those perks effectively.
That was not your contention.
You said that Survivors perks activated without the players needing to do anything.
There are two separate activation conditions for those perks.

Yes i must play Nurse, Blight or Spirit. If i'm not i just must watch how surv giving a gens of 1 or 2 minutes and runs away in the gates
You shouldn't be losing in two minutes.

Anyone who thinks Wraith isn't C tier, get a 25 win streak with him. Ultimately, a killer's strength is tied to their ability to kill survivors and the most objective way to evaluate their strength is to look at their kill rate and ability to win streak.
S tier = 100+ win streak
A tier = 50 win streak
B tier = 25 win streak
On it.

It's been fairly bad for a bit.
