As far as I know auto aim only exists on consoles? Or am I wrong?
I believe it is on every platform.

It basically just flags the match.
It will only result in action being taken if there is proof attached to said flag.

Long while = 5 weeks or so, FYI
Yes.
-
Yep, the grind is worse AND there's not going to be matchmaking incentives for a long while yet.
Kinda a joke.
-
I'm not entirely sure why BHVR made this meta shake-up if they were just going to bring back Pain Res + DMS. Seems...counter-intuitive.
Likewise, while Artist isn't OP (definitely boring to face tho, holding W isn't fun for anyone) the Thana nerf really doesn't make sense. Was it annoying on Killers like Blight and Nurse? Sure. Who was it really oppressive on? Legion and Plague. The nerf doesn't affect them at all but makes the perk meme tier for every other Killer in the game.
The Mettle of Man nerf is pretty funny in a depressing sort of way. They should've just reduced the Protection hit requirement to 2 and left it alone from there.
I do feel like casual Survivor players are suffering a lot right now. The DS stun nerf needs to be reverted, for sure. Solo Q needs massive help and fast. I would like to see the basekit BT and Haste effect extended by a considerable amount.
I do think the amount of changes we got is a step in the right direction. The actual content of those changes and the lack of consideration towards Solo Q was not the right way to go.
-
if you've got nothing good to say then don't say anything.
No. I love this game and I assume most other people here do as well. I will not be quiet about things I believe to be detrimental to the game's current and future state.

You can still tap the gen and complete the skill check as you run away btw...
A little hard to do, but definitely possible when you don't get stuck on a rock while concentrating on the skill check.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3108885#Comment_3108885
I agree with you. It's not the hardest thing in the world, but it definitely is harder than the DS skill check and I feel like lag/framerates can also impact whether someone hits it or not. I probably have over a 60% success rate with the skill check, but that 40% of the time when I miss it, it really hurts.
It is actually quite a bit more difficult than the DS skill check.
It can appear at 4'oclock on the wheel and it moves faster than a normal skill check, iirc. DS can only appear from 8'oclock to 12'oclock

and yes play as you like im not saying anything about it, and even i tend to sacrifice myself so other get hatch, which sometimes works and most of the time i think about my life choices lol
holy ######### is this an awful take
Report the guy for not playing how you want, yikes.
-
The difficult skill check is pretty difficult.
I still can't hit it consistently and 95% of people I play with (and against) can't either.
-
You do not need to play perfectly unless you are playing against the TOP of the top.
-
Yeah, I dunno what this change is supposed to do.
It didn't feel nice on Killers like Nurse or Blight or something but it wasn't a huge issue.
-
I just don't think Star Wars works in a horror game.

Omega nurse, facecamping bubbas and meta blights already existed before this patch, and is not the reason for the surge of disconnects by survivors.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3105846#Comment_3105846
With all due respect, i understood absolutely nothing of what you just said. It seems like you are trying to justify easy hooks / kills? If you actually see another survivor from a distance, and you leave the hook so that the hooked survivor gets rescued by another survivor, why do you also have to go for the unhooker and not the other survivor you saw from a distance? Are you scared that they might potentially loop you for 1-2 minutes? As if the unhooker couldn't do the same. Please be more specific, or come with your own idea on how to reduce camping, i would actually like to know other alternatives.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3105933#Comment_3105933
Definitely. I've played Plague with Thana, Plaything, Pentimento & Corrupt Intervention, and the survivors had an extremely tough time, getting no more than 2-3 gens done the whole match.
It's understandable when they were difficult (at best) to deal with prior to this patch.
Survivor did get heavily nerfed this patch and many frustrating Killer strategies were unintentionally (I hope) buffed. That's the difference.
Whereas prior to this patch, people might have stuck it out and tried their best, they no longer see a point. You aren't gonna get any BP, you aren't gonna have a good time and you definitely aren't gonna win, so why bother when queues are instant?

That's simply because anniversary event has been extended for july in most year, and that's not the case this year.
Just check dbd wiki and event date.
Could be.
The Event also didn't bring gamebreaking bugs this year

Not gonna lie, it helps me a lot. Of course a killer can wait 5 seconds and then down you, that's true. But meanie tunnelers have done that before. Nevertheless, I often have the chance to reach a pallet or a vault in these 5 seconds with the mini speed bonus. Not to forget, I no longer have to take BT with me and can replace it with OTR, for example.
I would literally rather have PR, DMS and old Ruin back if it meant not having to deal with the actual nightmare that is EruptionSo you prefer to make a gen 90%, only to have it then be blocked by DMS + PR for 45 sec. so that the killer still has enough time to pop it? You want to go back to having solo randoms looking for a ruin totem all match instead of just going gens? I definitely don't want this!
The Killer wouldn't have time to use PGTW, actually.
Likewise, I got good at finding totems after I did my totem experiment.
Eruption, Overcharge, Call of Brine is far worse than anything but old Undying and Ruin.
Super fast regression, plus 15% for missing Overcharge which I can't hit consistently (yes, it is different than DS) AND Eruption knocks 10% off plus it stops you from working on it for 25 seconds AND it can still be affected by things like Surge or PR?
-
BT basekit has not done a single thing for me. It is essentially useless, most people can bodyblock and count to 6
I would literally rather have PR, DMS and old Ruin back if it meant not having to deal with the actual nightmare that is Eruption

Mad respect for owning your behaviour in the past and realising the damage it can cause it takes a lot for somebody to admit their faults and to actually change it for the better. Talking to them does nothing but stress you out they do not care what you got to say to them its a reaction they are after and you talking to them gives them that knowledge that they got to you.
I feel bad for the adults that do this as they should know better at least if its a kid they have the excuse of immaturity and most likely will grow out of it but adults they know better and should really check themselves.
Most of them talked like girls I overheard in Starbucks, which makes me question many things.
But yeah, I was an ######### at 13 and didn't know how to manage pain very well. I'm glad that I can do it a lot better these days because if I kept my ability to manage pain at 13 to my current self six years down the road, I'd be a ######### nightmare.
But yeah, I try to be better and to help people instead of hurt them. Maybe I can make up for the things I've said in the past, who knows.
-
There is zero way people are that coordinated.
It's a joke that ANYONE believes that the entire Survivor population is somehow DC'ing en masse to blackmail BHVR into reverting the patch.
Actual clownery.

You did the right thing just turning them off, I had to do the same thing. This game really gets people heated for the stupidest reasons you're better off without the hate.
I'm, unfortunately, well aware.
I'm in a better spot mentally now so I turned my messages back on. My friends and I get a good laugh about them every once in a while.

Me as a killer i just move on say GGWP and hit continue or if i get too many i simply close the end game chat so i dont even see it and just hit continue i do not indulge them with a reaction because that is what they are after. Be the better person i say and ignore it if people return the toxicity it just gets worse and worse and we are no better than they are.
I used to try to talk to them and get them to see how they might hurt people. I'm ashamed to say I was one of those kids once too. I didn't grasp that my words held power nor did I particularly care.
Talking to them never really worked out and it started to weigh on me heavily. I eventually just turned off all of my messages.

And don't say "survivors". It's only a minority. The game is just fine when you get away from them. (Although to get cheaters.)
I mean, I'm sorry to my teammates but after our 3rd Nurse of the night running Lethal + Starstruck + Agi + Floods of Rage who tunnels one dude out at 5 gens, I'm really not feeling like tryharding my ass off.
That game is over and I'd rather move onto the next and try not to get a Nurse.

that sucks man nobody should be dealing with that i never said it doesn't happen just has not occured as bad for me from other killers to the extent of wishing harm more so just the egotistacal dopes who enjoy flexing.
Either way not condoning the behavior it really should not occur i have unfollowed streamers for being toxic in streams etc i have very little time for that garbage. I get being angry at the game nobody likes losing but hate the game not the player never attack the player you never know what that person is dealing with on the other side..
Yeah, that's what I was always concerned about.
You never know what someone else is going through and to push them over the edge...
I don't know how you handle that, honestly. The people saying it are probably just kids, like 13 or 14.

Why so defensive? Killers can be toxic but to be fair i have never come across a killer that has told me to kill myself or wish harm to my family because they lost a game. Sure i come across mainly the ones with egos that go on about EZ and tell me to get gud etc but never wish harm to me or family.
I mainly see it in my time as playing both sides from survivors even ones that i have teamed up with while in soloq. In general everybody killer or survivor should be better to each other, but it will never happen because most that do this are weak and lack any form of self respect because they are anonymous and their are no consequences to their childish behavior.
I've been told to off myself in various descriptive ways literally hundreds of time on DBD.
From Survivors and Killers.

Every one should be running OTR, its pretty great. There are times when i hook somebody, get into 2 seperate chases, see the first guy i hooked, attack them and proc OTR, it always amazes me how long it lasts. Probably one of the strongest defensive tools they gave to survivors so far.
Also i hope they make an exception for base BT to stack with endurance effects so hard tunneling isnt that viable.
I mean, everyone should've been running DS, but it only had a 50% pick rate and it was definitely better than OTR.
-
I'd like to be able to play at an FOV that doesn't give me headaches tbh
or
I'd like to play Killer and not have a macro-clicking ######### sear my retina's with a flashlight. seriously, zero reason for macro's to still be around. Limit the flashlight to like, 5 clicks a second or something.
-
Tell me you don't play Survivor without telling me you don't play Survivor.
This update absolutely sucks from a Survivor perspective. They did the exact thing I have always said needed to be done with a fix to camping/tunneling, else one side would lose their #########. In this case, rightfully so. It is absolutely atrocious how many people are still running max meta slowdown with strong Killers while tunneling the ######### out of the first person they down.
-
DS was fine at 5 seconds.
It made sense for it to be 3 seconds when there were old instant heals, horrific chain tiles, enormous maps, god windows, ect.
It no longer does. Most Killers do not give a single ######### about a 3 second stun.

OTR is miles better than old BT, DS is bad and DH is a hollow shell of its former self (thank god)
Imo its easier to tunnel off the hook but not hard tunneling is harder because an effect that protects you for 1 minute is pretty damn nice, specially with DS.
OTR is good, for sure.
I have not had an issue with it at all, especially if you hit right off the hook. You don't really get far and your Endurance is gone with the dumb Deep Wound graphic making it hard to see.
Besides, not everyone runs OTR. People certainly don't run BT.

It wasn't harder to tunnel so much as it was harder to play killer in general. It's not like any of those things made tunneling in particular any harder than the rest of the gameplay so mentioning them seems kind of misleading to me.
Semantics.
It is undeniably easier to chase Survivors due to DH and DS (the most common chase extenders) being heavily nerfed. Ergo, it is undeniably easier to tunnel.

Did anyone give you advice on how to play her? Nurse on console is a whole different beast, so don't be discouraged if you lose a lot, especially when you come across survivors who know what they are doing against a Nurse. Also what perks and addons have you been using, sadly Nurse addons are all pretty meh besides recharge and range, but if you are planning to learn Nurse long-term I would suggest starting with basekit as if you start with addons you are just gonna rely on them a lot. I can also give you a couple perk build I use, if you are still trying to learn.
I started to get okay with her and dropped her again.
No add-ons.

I think the comparision would be between DH/BT/DS and SB/OTR/DS or even DH/OTR/DS
Comparing DH to OTR seems pointless. If anything we should probably compare OTR to BT
Then do so.
It's still FAR easier to tunnel than before.
-
@Dead_Harder said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3105637#Comment_3105637
Is it harder or easier to tunnel if you equip both OTR and DS? It feels like it should be harder.
It's easier than before.
New OTR doesn't come close surpassing to old DH, plus old pallet breaking speed or old speed boost on hit plus old DS.
-
I was playing earlier this week and had a cheating Jeryl who just kept me there for a couple hours.
I left to go to a bachelor's party so he kinda took an L on that one
-
Agreed, but good luck convincing BHVR that it won't kill their "Bloodpoint economy."
Honestly, at this point I wonder how long until they add BP for IRL money.
-
I had assumed that because tunneling and camping is no longer (usually) necessary, people wouldn't do it. It wasn't a very fun way to play the game and I always felt like I was absolutely ruining that Survivors experience and while I will prioritize my own experience, I don't want to be a total dick.
However, that was not the case, it seems. Since tunneling and camping have been made easier and with fewer punishments, players are taking full advantage of that to secure wins as fast and as easily as possible. Which is fine, you are allowed to try to win. The issue is that it is causing Survivor to be a horrid experience.
-
I'm just being honest when I say my experience with Survivor has gone downhill extremely fast since the patch.
My Killer experience has been fine. I've won every game, which is nice, but I also haven't felt like I was challenged at all except for when I was (ironically) playing Nurse.
-

But those things encouraged tunneling and camping, not discouraged it. If someone had DS you were better off eating it early in the game than at the end where they could become literally unhookable. DH was essentially bullshit and prolonged chases for half a gen by itself so you'd do best to camp them to the second stage so you'd have to do it with less.
So I really doubt there's anything to this argument.
You questioned if it was harder to tunnel before.
It was.
-
I'm sorry but no DC penalty is going to stop me when we've gotten two meta Nurse's, a facecamping Bubba, a meta Blight and then a facecamping Bubba.
All a penalty is doing is helping my mental sanity. Make it a year so I physically can't play the game until it's better.

DS was very punishing, DH was way better, pallets were broken slower and Survivors got way more distance on hit.

It's less that they can and more like they now have a lot less reasons to leave the hook now that the healthy perks that gave incentives for killers to move around after a hook have been nerfed (Pop, Ruin, BBQ, PR, etc).
Disagree.
It's that it's easy to do now.
