A 4K is a win.
A 1E is also a win, at this point.

maybe because the current situation is even worse than before? a couple of slightly buffs won't compensate in the slightest all the nerfs that killer perks got, add the MAIN fact that maps nowday are so broken that now you can easily won a match by simply throwing mindlessly pallets, without even looping and you'll get why killers still camp and tunnel
I've watched 30 seconds and I've already seen this person incorrectly label a pre-drop.
Also, idk who they are.
Also, Killer got a pretty sizeable buff last patch.

Correct, they don't.
They make you question your own skill, slowly driving you crazy through the course of the match, which is substantially less pleasant.
I would rather get rid of the obvious cheaters who are holding people hostage and buy time to work on the subtle one's.

The question is far beyond is bhvr doing anything to limit the hackers. The question is is my hardware and ip safe while playing this videogame?
Hardware? Most likely safe.
IP? No and it's not really safe anyways.
If you play on Console and have played multiplayer games, there are sites that have logged your IP for the expressed purpose of knocking you off.

This would flag blatant cheaters, but the subtle ones are the real problem. All this would do is turn every blatant cheater into a subtle cheater to avoid being banned, making a bad situation worse.
The real problem is the lack of a streamlined report system. The current report system is just awful. It's time-consuming and requires a basic competency for video capture and editing to submit clips of the match.
At least the subtle ones don't hold you hostage for two hours.

High level then, and dare I say mid level. We're talking about killers other than Nurse and Blight, and perks other than 4 meta ones. Killer isn't the chill paradise people make it out to be. "If you don't 4k with no perk/add-ons Freddy, it's a skill issue!"
You aren't saying anything new.
If you play a meme build as Freddy against Survivors who are sentient and run meta perks, you're probably gonna lose and you really should. Not every Killer needs to be Nurse or Blight and be able to 4K with meme builds against meta players.
All you've said is, "If people run meta and I don't, I won't have as good of a chance to win with Killers that aren't extremely strong."

BHVR will surely come up with something, I know them.
Doubt they will. I'd love to be wrong but they seem completely unable to stop or limit cheaters from ruining people's experiences.

As much as I wanna touch up on the “vault pallets” thing, I have another focus here
”its ruining solo queue”
How can a killer being strong ruin solo queue? Hell i’d say Wesker is in an almost perfect place right now imo, solo queue has its own issues but a killer won’t cause solo queue issues
Pinhead.
Weak Killer against a team with any amount of coordination, incredibly strong against Solo Q.
Not agreeing with OP about Wesker, but there are Killers who are issues in Solo Q specifically.

Twins are probably my least favorite. Nothing positive.
Stranger Things was probably the best chapter. Good perks, very popular Survivors, great Killer, eh map and a LOT of new players.

That's also very true. I always say in end game chat "go make a new account" since I know they can. I just do it to be a little bit annoying and make them go through that effort, as meaningless as it sounds.
It's legitimately more trouble to report them than it is for them to make a new account.
-
@Bot_Salvo88 said:
What to do with a cheater in your lobby. Make sure to record what's happening, quit the match and make a report in game. Make sure to copy the name of the cheater (if possible) otherwise just reporting him in game is enough. As you're waiting 5 mins, just set up the report on their report page and, by the time you're done, your penalty is over and you can play again. That's at least how I handle it!
I've stopped reporting.
There's no point in going through all that trouble for them to just have hundreds of other accounts

Bruh I'm getting blatant cheaters every other night.

I have noticed that Steves have a tendency to get tunneled a lot. Especially if they happen to be wearing Scoops Ahoy gear. Something about it just really pisses them off for some reason lmao (either that or the killers are just trying to ask if they can get free ice cream idk)
Who knows.
I didn't escape at all tonight, only got BM'd on hook once though.
I'm starting up a stats sheet again, if anyone's interested. Not tracking totems this time, I'm afraid.

The perk that devs have said was an issue and would be receiving changes, and then got changes?
And?
What about in 2021? When it wasn't confirmed to be getting changes?
I definitely saw, "Well, because the Devs haven't changed it yet, clearly they think it's okay, ergo, it doesn't need changes."
Are we gonna not apply the same logic here?

Ghostface got buffed tho? And just like pinhead's cube chasing, sadako's dedicated mains have figured out a special strat (condemned slugging) that makes the killer viable against even the best players. I don't think very many killers need direct base kit buffs at the moment.
Ghostface kinda got nerfed.
-
god, it's been so long since I was at the 100 hours mark that it's nice to hear some honest perspective
I'd say almost all of the people who were playing when I was a new player are gone and that's sort of sad to think about.

They've already said they don't like to talk about it because it gives the hackers more info.

Yes your right but in particular circumstances like giving the 2nd to last player hatch, but dying on your first hook beacuse you gave up should be. It's not a good loop hole to have to avoid a time out.
So because I got hooked last and haven't been hooked yet, when I attempt to unhook myself, I get a penalty?
That doesn't seem fair.

"Even if its a not a 4 man perfect sweat squad the killer doesn't know that"
The killer doesn't know and gets no indication of if its a team or not so they can play in whatever way and respond to the state of the match any way they want, there is no need to hold back because they should have known what they can't know, from a killers perspective until this point in a match, they have 2 hooks, they lost 2 gens against survivors who brought map offerings so it could be a swf and they are playing how they deem fit to respond to the situation
Which is to BM?

Isn't that enough?
If its not... then as I said, maybe its time for a break.
DBD is only fun when everyone in the match cares about it being fun.
Nothing occupies me like DBD does. I haven't ever been so invested in a community nor have I found a game that I was actually good at before. You get angry at CoD? Play Battlefield. Fortnite's not fun? Play Apex. DBD's lost it's charm? Play....DBD?
It's why I've given up on quitting, there's just not any alternatives.

If you can't play a game without disconnecting, you probably shouldn't be playing that game, huh? There's so many others out there, off-line and on, that don't completely ruin everyone's experience if one player's power flicks off for an instant.
And if you can't afford a stable internet connection, you've got considerably bigger challenges to navigate than the ability to play a niche horror party game.
Man, it's always a pleasure to post "make the punishment for disconnects more severe" and seeing all the people who disconnect as a matter of course come out to shout down any attempt at punishing their fun little exploit.
Considering how often DBD can crash on Xbox One, not to mention Switch, I agree, don't play DBD.
Done talking.

Starts small, scales up super hard.
If you have a terrible computer or connection that knocks you out of the game through no fault of your own, you STILL shouldn't be playing DbD. Your bad set-up is ruining the game for four other players. Stick to solo games.
Also, you can just look for the standard "I Refuse To Let You Win" survivor moments, like the first time they get downed, right before they're picked up on their final hook state, or if they've been left on the ground for more than 5 seconds ever.
lmao, ######### people who don't have money am i right?
what a joke. let's not ever do that, k?

Survivors can BM at the gate all they want, as killer you have the power to stop that in an instant its called M1 or even better M2.
I didn't see any tunneling in that vid and the hitting on hook is just as innocuous as Bm'ing at the exit gate.
As survivor if you get caught and/or killed you probably should have done more not to get caught. (sometimes even that isn't enough random chance will get us all eventually).
What happens directly after getting caught (hooking/slugging) is largely out of your control. That's DBD.
If your goal was to make a good rebuttal, I'm afraid you'll have to do better than that.
If I drop the pallet there, the outcome is the same, only I've made a big deadzone for my team.
You can see with WoO that there aren't any pallets nearby.
Likewise, even if I had made it somewhere, based off of this behavior, I do not think the outcome would be any different.

Now, I’m not saying you were doing anything wrong… But I’m saying as a killer if I’m gonna throw a whole game to face camp and tunnel one person, they were doing some serious BMing…so..idk, something to think about.

For 5 years, the Devs agreed DH was fine.

@pseudechis said:
Yeah I'm afraid all this video shows is you having a pretty good chase where you misread a mind game at the vault and then got greedy at a pallet you should have dropped, leading to a down.
The Bubba then smacks you on hook which is probably uncalled for but not the end of the world.
Someone else was on hook and not being camped during the vid so the killer either committed to chasing you away from the hook or left the hook which also doesn't really fit the narrative.
Personally I would have vaulted back through the main building window while the killer didn't have line of sight, you probably would have lost them completely then.
2 hooks at 3 gens they could switch it up to a defensive game at that point if they chose to.
I'd say it has nothing to do with how you played. People always say I didn't do anything toxic why did they camp?? but defending a hook is sometimes just a good play. It doesn't mean your opponent is mad at you or out to ruin your fun, stop projecting onto your opponent.
That was a pretty good chase, if you are finding even the base elements of DBD unfun then my suggestion is take a break from it.
Even if they camped and tunneled me to death at the end of that I'd finish out the game with a GG and move on. Well done Bubba you caught and killed me just like the entity is telling you to do.
But how could i have had fun?
Yeah, I had a really good chase (for me, thanks people who keep nitpicking my gameplay) but what did that matter? Nobody got out. I got like 6k points. I lost MMR. There's no metric in which I can spin it positively.

But most rage quits happen with no apparent reason at all. Apart from getting downed first. At least from what i´ve seen in my matches. Sure, there are exceptions, but we need a solution for this kind of behavior, that ruins the game for everyone else.
Majority of players that dc/suicide/rage quit going for a different game, isn´t something i would consider a bad thing. We don´t need toxic players.
The VAST majority of DC's I see are on 2nd and 3rd hook.
These people want to play and have fun. When they find out that isn't really what DBD is about, they quit
-
It is possible, yes.
-
I'm sorry but I'm not getting held hostage again.
Also, look man, I'm against DC's on first hook but when it's a slugging agi starstruck nurse, I am gonna seriously consider whether or not it's worth it to play DBD at all. They can play the game however they want and I can find something more worth my time to play.
Ultimately, when the majority of people DC, they're just gonna move on to a different game that they feel is more worth their time investment. You'll have the tryhard SWF's DC for Hatch and this'll hurt them, but it's not gonna do anything against most of the people who DC.
Almost every time I see someone who DC's on Xbox and I check their profile, they've usually either already turned off their Xbox or moved to a different game.

Always hard to say. Bubba tends to attract the griefer types. There's like a 10% chance of having a normal game against a Bubba.
I don't like to straight up profile Killers but yeah.
