That’s what I keep saying lol but its obvious none of them play killer. This is what trapper, wraith, learherface, myers players etc had to put up with for 4 years and think how bad and pallet heavy the maps used to be.
The best/worst entitlement is when they say “its just a 50/50” with Spirit”, so their complaint is that both players have an equal chance, they’re literally demanding that they have the advantage in a chase.
I cant blame the survivors though years of whack balance from 2016-2018 ish has given them a skewed view of balance in the game
Oh, about that 2016-2020 balance.
Almost all of these changes to survivors were basically removing training wheels. Excessive amount of pallet, vacuum thing, holes in high loops and many other things that made survivor gameplay extremely easy and forgiving were gone in these years.

@Dizzy1096 said:
Why do people act like it’s a fact she needs massive and obvious counterplay? So she can become the next Demogorgan?
Half the things ok the survivor side, maps as well have very little counterplay and killers have to learn to live with it. Just use pallets and windows and learn to read Spirits. Its like survivors arent happy if the counterplay is anything more demanding than “press space bar to drop pallet for complete safety”.
The most hilarious thing is that people are perfectly fine when M1 killers are forced to mindgame and guess survivor's movements (while survivors use their 3rd person cam and red light advantage), but go completely nuts when killer gets that kind of advantage and they lose it.
Survivor's hypocrisy at its finest.

The reasoning behind the cooldown and the exposed time being the same, is that the perk is not intended to make more than one player exposed at the same time.
Reduce exposed timer to 40 seconds then and make cd last 40 seconds and return to old distance scaling on tier (40-36-32 meters or how much was it i dont remember), is it hard?

It's actually in a good spot right now. Don't get what the problem is.
It gets worse with each tier.

Imo the cooldown justifies the strength of the perk. At t3 anything less than 60s would break the perk imo not only that, this perk is mostly valuable on killer with high mobility such as Spirit, Nurse, Blight, ave Frederick.
If any cooldown on killers is BS, look at Thrilling Tremors, Surge, Opression. Hell Hex: Blood Favor is a HEX PERK WITH A COOLDOWN
IT GETS WORSE WITH EACH TIER, HELLO, DID YOU READ THE POST??????
-
@indieeden7 said:
If the cooldown was 40 seconds on all tiers, multiple people could be exposed with make your choice at the same time. The cooldiwn doesn't begin once the exposed status effect runs out, it starts the second that the unhooker is exposed.
Oh no, 2 survivors are exposed at the same time for 20 seconds, such a big of deal.
Especially when we remember that usually first exposed survivor is downed in first 10-15 seconds.

Hm... what if you get 4 TV's, similar to Jigsaw Boxes, and survivors can also use them to teleport, but only at the same moment the thinman is teleporting. You hear thinman winding up his teleport, you happen to be right next to a TV, you grab it at the right time and you swap places, or go to a random TV that he hasn't teleported to. Adds a neat little mechanic to the survivor side, as well as offering a viable counter to his teleport so it's not too powerful. Would differentiate him from Freddy, and in trade it could have no significant cooldown (maybe like the 5 seconds it takes to teleport and then you can jump again) so really survivors don't want to be near a TV if they can help it.
It would be really awful

Uh, what?
Nobody is asking for 100% safety here. Nobody is asking for nerfs. Nobody is complaining that something is too hard. Not here anyways. In other threads, probably,
The point of the thread is that telling people that they should have run a specific build against a specific Killer or perk is stupid, because you can't plan for what you don't know. It's like telling someone "You should have carried a bottle of milk with you" when they encounter a crying baby on a bus. I'm all for kicking the baby, that's gameplay. I'm not all for telling people to just randomly know the future, because you can't.
>The point of the thread is that telling people that they should have run a specific build against a specific Killer or perk is stupid, because you can't plan for what you don't know
Like I said, if you're having troubles against certain killer, run a perk that hard counters him.
>Nobody is asking for 100% safety here. Nobody is asking for nerfs. Nobody is complaining that something is too hard. Not here anyways. In other threads, probably,
Aren't survivors complaining how deathslinger is OP because sometimes survivors can't do things that 100% ensure they don't get shot or how people cry about spirit because all counterplay against her isn't all-reliable?
And I was replying to the comment in that thread which was exactly about people wanting counterplays for everything.

I think that a cool "look" alone isn't going to be enough. A Slenderman-like Killer would need to play entirely different. He would be ambush and a slow stealth Killer. I think the ability to go into lockers (despite his weird size) would create cool animations of it somehow squeezing in and then teleporting to emerge from another Locker. I think it could be cool.
If they somehow get thinman into game, they should have TVs scattered around the map with ~64 meters distance between each of them and he should be able to teleport between them.

@Seraphor said:
"how do you know exactly which Killer you will be up against?"
You. Don't.
That's the game.
Honestly it seems like you don't know what game you're playing.
You're expecting too much if you're expecting to be able to counter anything the game can throw at you in any situation.
Nah, nah, they don't want JUST to "be able to counter anything the game can throw at you in any situation", they want something, they can do with minimal effort that will 100% counter "anything the game can throw at you in any situation." without any chance from killer to counter attack. That's why these people hate spirit so much, they have to put effort that may or may not pay off and that is why games where there's no such thing as "something simple you do and which will give you 100% safety" are genuinely scary even when replayed.

Tell me, how do you know exactly which Killer you will be up against?
What is your normal Survivor build?
How do you plan your perks against a specific Killer before the trial begins?
Do these perks counter those Killers? Yes. Is it worthwhile to tell people "You should have just run those perks against that Killer" when they didn't know which Killer they would be facing?
>Do these perks counter those Killers? Yes.
End of conversation.
>Is it worthwhile to tell people "You should have just run those perks against that Killer" when they didn't know which Killer they would be facing?
Yes. If you are struggling against a certain killer, run perks that hard counter that killer. When I hate playing against Doctor, I run calm spirit, when I don't feel like trying hard against spirit, I run iron will with chase drop combo (dance with me&quick and quiet&lithe) and etc.
And if you are unable to play against half of killer roster, then it is your problem and not the game's "bad" balance.
-
Weak bait.
-
It is, because some perks are hard counters for killers - small game for trapper, iron will for spirit and nurse (can't hear - much harder to find), calm spirit for doctor.
Claiming that these perks aren't counters because you don't know for sure which killer you are facing is just incompetence
-
Dead hard should just not give any distance and be reworked accordingly.
I don't care whether survivor can time his perk on my hits or not, if he does, then he kinda deserved it.
Just get ######### rid of the brainless "e to outplay" button which allows survivor to be extremely greedy at loops (making extra circle or going for further window) without being punished for that.

Regardless, red ranks are no fun.
I'll be talking about "no fun allowed" killers when the post would feature mother-daughters ring slug spirit on gideon.
Right now I'm seeing "fun allowed" killer matched with "no fun allowed" survivors using every single dirty trick in the book.

Survivors on red ranks are usually "no fun allowed" type of people.

What if the killer comes over to my gen and finds me? I can’t politely ask him to stop chasing me
Terror music exists for a purpose.
I personally run builds like dance with me + lithe and fill 2 other slots with spine chill/iron will.
Even if I get found, I just drop the chase whenever I get the moment.
It usually works, unless I'm dealing with 4 tracking perks doctor.

Tbf if you’re looping a killer and only one persons on gens there’s not much I can do to prevent that
Or if I get farmed when I make the mistake of not running DS
These things are completely out of my control
That's your problem if you play the way things are out of your control.
You can always be the one doing gens, while killers chases your teammates.

How are bad teammates his problem?
It is he who has problems with bad teammates and cries for reducing skill demand for survivors.
I personally don't have such problems when playing survivors, as I don't rely on my team in the first place and most of my survivor games have been quite successful

I'm 18. I used to be able to play this game all the time. Now, I have a woefully boring engagement that most refer to as a "job". I'm on ps5 because I broke my pc when I lost my legacy. You act like you have more experience than me, and i can almost guarantee that you don't. For example, on here. You only have 81 posts. I have over 1,500. (This is an alt account). I have proved that I am better than you many times in this argument. I main killer, and yet I know that I shouldn't be able to 4k every game. I know that survivor should take less skill. I know that solo queue is harder than killer. You're just an entitled killer main who makes all of us actually GOOD killer mains look bad. Honestly, I have tried so many times to make you understand my POV, but I'm done. You can't argue with stupid, I guess.

Yes, it does. Survivors have only a quarter as much impact on the game than a killer does. Therefore, it should be less skillful. Nurse is a perfect opposite to this. She's MORE powerful, so she takes MORE skill. That's why she's balanced. Survivor is the same, but different. An individual survivor is LESS powerful, and should take LESS skill.
Just admit you want easy wins

My point is that you usually get bad teammates in solo queue. My teammates in solo queue don't know the meaning of teamwork.
That's your problem and it doesn't mean the game should have less skill demand for you.

But that isn't fair. They shouldn't have as much of a skill cap because they don't have the same impact on the game.
They are a team. Their summary strength succeeds killer's strength if they invest as much skill as killer does.

@gendoss said:
Most people agree that Hillbilly and Demogorgon are the most balanced killers in the game. I really would love it if BHVR made more killers like them because they're also extremely fun to go against, win or lose.
Hillbilly was most balanced before his rework.
Now he is awful.
Demogorgon is an example of how you should not give killer's power counterplay, because there's just too much.
-
Slenderman.
Going to main him even if he turns out to be the weakest
-
@Shoottokill_Shinsou said:
Because a single survivor is 25% of their team. Meaning that they should only have the difficulty of killer divided by 4. It isn't fair to have a killer that doesn't take skill, when killer is more powerful than the survivors and doesn't take extra skill to compensate. A powerful character that doesn't take skill is never fair. It's fine if a braindead killer is like wraith or doctor, because they are weaker to compensate.
Nah, nah, it doesn't work like that.
Survivor is supposed to have 25% of IMPACT on the game, but the skill demand is supposed to be at least equal to the killer.
-
He's pretty horrific even without using his second part of the power, I suppose it'll be toggleable on live and he'll be extremely difficult to deal with.
No buffs really needed.
-
Considering how often survivors get triggered to killer's playstyles and how much grudges do they often hold, I'd rather not do that.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2012562#Comment_2012562
I do not agree with that I guess. I play space engineers for example and its a very welcoming community.
So let's focus on my main point. Do you think the community looks like toxic because toxic people are so loud or cheerful people are silent and that puts toxic players to the frontline? Or maybe both? And why?
Why players usually do not congratulate the other side after a good match? Is this a sign of toxic community? Or egos?
>And why do you think that way?
Why do I think the sky is blue? Because I see that
-
Some perks are hard counter to certain killers and as long as such perks exist, I would rather not have killer revealed to survivors when they can pick such perks.
-
Those filthy casuals that don't let me have enjoyable competitive matches are soo annoying, jeez

THE SEA OF THIEVES BATTLEPASS IS SO GOOD!
I got it done just by playing the game and the rewards are awesome even for the free track. I've legit considered buying it just because of that.
Fun fact, I got paid version simply by playing game and getting 3 ancient coins skeletons that gave me ~1100 coins.
Love Sea of Thieves
-
I look at Dead By Daylight battlepass
Then I look at Sea of Thieves battlepass
I look at DbD battlepass again
And look at Sea of Thieves battle pass back
One has no blank spaces, requires to simply play the game to get it done in ~20 hours of gameplay and gives out a lot of cosmetics for free some of which could be bought with real money otherwise, the other one is Dead by daylight battlepass.

Imagine stacking perk that works only when survivors aren't healthy with a perk that makes it easier for survivors to become healthy.
Thana is better stacked with anti-heal perks like Forced Penance, which became very useful after buff.
