You're nearly always met with mass approval on your posts, this one example notwithstanding. I was all but crucified for stating the objective truth that the game is slightly, statistically killer favored. Other threads asserting it is survivor favored have been received to similar approval to your other posts bemoaning the state of killer.
The anti-survivor, pro-killer tack you take in your forum posts is far from a dissenting opinion, it is by and large the dominant perspective. There are plenty of people here to assert the same perspective as you, and I'm fine with them doing that. It is specifically the self-pitying nature and sheer oversaturation of your posts that make me think you're harming yourself in the long run with your posting habits
My posts get mass approval? I must be missing something.

What does this even mean? I assume people upvoted because they agreed. How does that make it an echo chamber?
Cognitive dissonance. Many more Survivor mains here, not even close tbh. They will likely upvote a pro-Survivor argument if it meets their preconceived notions, no matter how rudimentary, baseless, or thoughtless the argument may be. Given the fact this is an asymmetrical game, the issue is compounded.
Just like how one could go to see their favorite sports team. Every successful play is because their team is good. Every misstep is the refs fault or bogus rules.
Anyway, this thread has proven my point for these forums. Most posts here can be distilled to the following.
Survivor struggles = poor balancing
Killer struggles = skill issue

You would see more Demo’s if he wasn’t out of the shop for the past 2 years. Twins are buggy nightmare that will get worse as BHVR cracks down on slugging.

Absolutely comedic people are blaming RNG. Killer is very rough right now. It is so true when you say you had the worst feeling in video games. If you lose badly (or at all tbh) Survivors 9/10 will draw it out and antagonize you. You are supposed to be Michael Myers (or insert other iconic killer) and instead are treated like a joke with very little recourse.
-
They do it usually with the sole objective to antagonize you. I would not expect accommodations from these folks.

Not pulled from thin air. I’m familiar with OP and the assertion I made tends to undercurrent everything he posts. He isn’t shouting into the void, he’s saying the same stuff he always says. Lol
Saying it was pulled out of thin air is generous. You are saying I am here arguing for Survivor bots when Survivor bots have been a readily available feature for almost a year. All perks are available at tier 3 in custom games, so there is no need for BP if playing against bots is someone’s goal.

That's fair. We want a fair and interesting challenge as survivor. We don't want clowns, but we don't want sweatlords either. We don't want to see the same thing time after time, nor do we want a lack of interaction such as camping. We want Abit of everything the game offers like the greedy birds we are.
I’m sure this will be torn apart, but you answered my question, so I will respond in kind.
HexHerbz put it well, it feels like Scooby Doo more than a horror film. I fear the game is too far gone to be anything else at this point.
The Killer should be someone you don’t want to get in the face of, style-on, taunt, or hang around with. That doesn’t mean Survivors don’t escape, but you can escape an intimidating antagonist without it being a joke at the end, even if the Killer was technically crushed.
Escaping Darth Vader in Jedi Outcast or, a more obscure example, Kirie in Fatal Frame are good illustrations of this. You may have played the part of the game easily but you still didn’t want to hang around.

This post is based on pointless tribalism and accomplishes nothing.
You should instead talk about something more objective that aims to help the health of the game.
It’s not though, it’s the core of the issue. If what Survivors want is a Party Clown to amuse them and BHVR is accommodating them, the game heads in a quite negative direction. There are some folks who are fine with this role but for the most part people want to feel strong when they play a role like Killer.

Oh, it's very simple, as a survivor all you have to is the following
Step 1: Get the killer to hook someone at shack
Step 2: Get the killers attention in a place that gives you enough distance to get back to the hook with them following you before getting hit.
Step 3: Actually get them to chase you instead of going for gens
Step 4: Hope as you lead them to the hook they don't just proxy camp and wait for you to unhook
Step 5: Once they don't proxy camp, you need to loop them well enough to not get hit but also be out of sight
Step 6: Hope they don't just facecamp the survivor, take the free unhook, but just get in a chase to tunnel that player
Step 7: Get away from the shack - this requires either slow walking or the killer to totally miss the scratch marks on the ground as you run away. Obviously, you can't have been injured at any time during the previous six steps or the killer will notice the blood trail/lack of pain moans.
Step 8: Hope they just stay there long enough confused about how you disappeared instead of thinking maybe they should go after a gen.
Step 9: Enjoy the game winning victory that is achieved by a survivor jumping off the hook and likely being targeted by the killer who is standing right there
Reminder: Do all of the above before a hook stage progresses. Strategy not valid against all killers.
On a more serious note: I suspect there will be survivors who will try this over the next few weeks to just feel out the system/challenge it, and I'm surely inevitably a few will pull it off, but it can't realistically seen to be giving survivors some type of advantage.
Really not hard to take a Killer into the unhook area, unless Killers must drop chase whenever the magical 16 meter radius is crossed.

Survivors really will not be satisfied until Killers are reduced to party clowns.

Play the role of the killer is quite stressful, especially when you consider that within the first 50 seconds of the match, survivors can easily complete 2 generators, or at the very least, they are likely to finish one generator while having another an advanced. This is exacerbated by the fact that most maps are so bigger that efficient map control becomes nearly impossible. It's truly disheartening to observe how BHVR (Behaviour Interactive) significantly favors the survivor gameplay. Approximately 80% of survivors coordinate through external communication programs in pre-made groups, rendering the killer's role somewhat of a mockery. Playing as the killer becomes excessively stressful, and it's disappointing to see how they undermine the gaming experience for killers.
Prepare to be lambasted for a reasonable take. These forums are a Survivor echo chamber. Welcome.

I have played this game for over 3000 hours, and currently, I am dissatisfied with the balance patches from the Dead by Daylight team. A game is supposed to offer a simpler sense of accomplishment compared to the real world. However, recent updates have imposed an unfair balance system, heavily favoring the survivors. Killers are now forced to kill all survivors and hook each survivor more than 9 times for a killer rank reward. On the other hand, survivors can rank up with just a few rescues and a couple of generators, even without escaping. As a player who enjoys both roles, I find this frustrating. Survivors can feel monotonous, and killers find it overly challenging, often being treated as fools for attempting it. I have great affection for this game, but until these issues are addressed, I have decided not to play it for the time being. I have already uninstalled the game due to the stress it has caused me, and I will refrain from playing it.
Unreasonable Perk System
Killers can be broadly categorized into generator regression, tracking, and anti-survivor perks. Some killers have inherently meaningless perks, while killers only have 4 perks to compete with. Survivors, on the other hand, have a total of 16 perks to use (as there are 4 survivors each having 4 perks), creating a counterproductive structure against the powerful perks of the four killer characters.
Unreasonable Game Structure for Killers (Hooks, Add-ons)
Currently, the repair speed of generators is too fast, and the killers are strongest when there are few or no generators left to repair. This is because survivor movement is limited. However, recent patches have addressed hook-related issues and nerfed powerful killer add-ons. On the contrary, survivors have been given significant buffs through unusual hook placements and powerful survivor perks (e.g., Jill Valentine's technique, Ada Wong's technique, and Gabriel Solis's technique).
Excessive Cheating by Users
Survivor perks are also powerful, but many Chinese users, among others, use cheat engines. Alternative solutions need to be provided. Cheats include pre-knowing the killer's perk or killer type, teleportation cheats, subtly increasing movement speed cheats. There are also cheats that reveal survivors' positions to killer users and subtly increase their movement speed. While efforts are being made by the game developers, urgent and thorough resolution of this issue is needed.
Diversification of Survivors and Increase in Item Quantity
Although the emphasis has been on killers, there are also issues with survivors. There are over 30 survivors in Dead by Daylight, but there is currently no need to level up all of them. On the other hand, killers have diverse abilities, providing a reason to level them up. There is no reason for survivors to increase their prestige levels. Moreover, the variety of items is too limited, and the few items available are all too powerful. The types of items need to be increased, and the efficiency of items and survivor perks should be exaggerated and halved.
Matchmaking System
Since the introduction of MMR, the balance issues have not been adequately resolved. If balancing patches are difficult, at least revamp the MMR matchmaking system! If there are multiple losses, adjust the balance or provide rewards unconditionally. I don't understand why we should play the game while feeling stressed.
Conclusion
From the beginning, this game has an asymmetrical structure. Naturally, killers should be overwhelmingly strong, but that is not the case at all. Survivors should have a lower escape rate to be considered normal. Isn't this game's genre horror? There is no thrill at all. Survivors find it boring, and killers find it stressful. Moreover, the rank evaluation system is too harsh on killers. It's bizarre that survivors can rank up even if they don't escape.
Seems like you are new here. So you know, Survivor mains vastly outnumber Killers on this forum with all the cognitive dissonance that goes along with an echo chamber. They will pick some small detail to discount your whole argument, kind of like how they all are when not in good faith.

I got into similar expectations when I got back. Well, not anymore. It felt like a job again.
Issue is survivors make it really hard, you just don't want them winning as a killer. They really want to rub it in.
MFT and Buckle up made chase for me way less enjoyable, just because it feels underserved.
This what they can’t or refuse to understand. 9/10 times Survivors will not just leave if they crushed you, they HAVE to rub it in and draw it out.

reassurance was also hard nerfed immediatly after PTB , can you see the pattern ? stop being overly dramatic
The point is not unhook yourself, it’s so Killers don’t camp with the consequence of the Survivor unhooking themselves if they do camp.

But in a way they are comparable since both are defensive tools, similar to how people compare Blight and Billy because both of their powers are used for mobility and chase
One is undisputedly the 2nd best Killer in the game and the other is a very sad husk of what he used to be. It’s like comparing an intramural player and MLB player because they both play baseball.

3 gen appears to be next. I expect slugging to increase, so they will move to that.
They won’t be satisfied until they get weapons that one shot the Killer. Then they can tbag the downed Killer until they decide to finish the gens and leave. Killer has to stay the whole time or take a significant dc penalty.
The more I think about it the less I think that would satisfy them.
-
@DemonDaddy said:
Camping, tunneling, slugging, and gen defense are all things survivors have repeatedly stated need to be addressed.
So when all of these things become regulated and restricted, where to do you think the devs core focus for changes will be directed?
When chase is the only meaningful event that killers can perform and in need of improvement, how will chases be impacted?
Going forward, what will killer powers focus on to aid them in their only option?
If killers cant do the things you hate, what will happen to the thing you enjoy?
Devs seem very reactionary. Skull Merchant’s power should have been shut down immediately in the concept stage. Now we are left with this mess.
I do not even think they know the plans in regard to balance. Will the Killer population nosedive as the Survivor Rule Book? Remains to be seen. If it does and more importantly, it results in Survivor dissatisfaction with queue times, I expect changes to be made in the Killers favor. If this is not an issue, I expect Survivor complaints to continue to be accommodated.

I think the core issue is likely the business end requiring constant new characters and more importantly perks. These perks have to be unique and now affect pretty much every facet of the game to the point that balancing around them became required. I think speed perks and gen regression perks really set the game down a negative path.

Your last 5 discussions at least say otherwise.
As for the topic at hand, what would you propose? Generally we fight to the end because nothing is set in stone till survivors are out the gate (or all on hook). Your complaints as we see are indeed a problem with the players and we are unsure as to how you propose to stop that behavior.
If Myer’s Tombstone was basekit with much shorter stalk time required, it would no doubt be massively abused. Would you be saying it was a player problem as well?

His power design is very unintuitive and easily misunderstood. But ultimately he has a high skill floor and ceiling, much like Nurse.
His survivor counter also has skill expression as well in timing and coordinating EMPs optimally. So it's easily matched across skill levels.
Apart from the fact that he's virtually unplayable on console, that's a really good design philosophy. Lower skilled Larry's won't do too well if survivors know what they're doing. Higher skilled Larry's will dominate, but higher skilled survivors will counter him more effectively.
He doesn't get played much because why put in that effort when you can just play Nurse instead?
Comparing him to Nurse is questionable at best.
Nurse can teleport right next a Survivor at will.
Singularity can teleport to a Survivor after marking them on camera, hoping they don’t EMP, having gain light of sight for a notable amount of time with or without the camera, at which point when you do teleport you end up in the crouched position taking time to get up and giving the Survivor significant distance.

Honestly, I have won numerous matches on this map. I never follow any guides or recommendations on builds as I follow what I like. If it is an SWF I always lose. I am long past the point where I think a map determines whether or not I can win. If it is a good team it doesn't matter what I do.
And I see it in SoloQ, as well. We can only complete one gen (be it a small or bigger map with lots of pallets) if the killer is good.
So whenever you get a SWF group on Garden of Joy, you lose…but the map is fine?
