No, I'm working on getting them all to P1 first. Haha
-
Anyone else think the Iron Maiden killer perk looks like a hot dog with mustard?
🤣
-
I play normal games and don't see a problem. I go in and kill survivors. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don't. Period. End 'o story. Survivors are bots to me. Nothing more.
Straight forward eh? Well yeah, because that's my normal. Not yours or anyone else's. When I go into a game it's with 4 random people I don't know and will never meet. I don't know what your 'normal' is and frankly don't care. Survivor rules... 😂

Whoops, I completely forgot that Derek Riggs named the painting "Electric Matthew Says Hello" so never mind what I said. Starting with the original and unlocking the rest through gameplay sounds perfect. Like going through years of Iron Maiden. Hopefully it's the original 1980 version and not the awful 1998 remaster cover with the red eyes and blond hair.
Just don't tell Steve that it looks punk. 😂

Exactly, every single version of Eddie can be added. Also the first album isn't called Electric Matthew, it's simply called Iron Maiden much like how Black Sabbath's first album is named Black Sabbath
The original painting on which the first album, Iron Maiden, is based is titled "Electric Matthew says hello". When I said that I was referring to the art, not the album.

I play the wraith with decent success using lethal pursuer, nowhere to hide, jolt, and lightborn. For addons I like the blood family and the bone clapper. While I'm searching I'll ring the bell periodically and they don't know where I'm coming from.
If I run the iri spirit addon I'll run pop goes the weasel with it.

Play how you want.
Personally, I try not to eliminate anyone too early in the game unless they put themselves right in front of me. I find 1v3 exceptionally boring if there are more than 2 generators to go.
And I'm the opposite. One of my favorite parts is trying to find them when they're hiding.

Tunneling is completely fine unless you are just... hard tunneling at 5 gens. You think you need a kill to turn the game around? Go ahead. Need a small legup because the survivors are taking the lead? Not a big deal, just dont hard tunnel at 5 gens.
Don't tunnel at 5 gens? Why not? I play to win. I am that person who literally does not care about the opposing team's fun. During the event I may let the last one go or play for points. Otherwise I'm a cold, emotionless bulldozer. At the end of a 4k, I say ggs, click continue, and move on to the next.
That being said. It's not at all uncommon for me to be stomped and end with a 0k. Afterwards... ggwp, continue, move on.
I'm not here for drama. I just want to play the game I like in the way that I like.
-
I'd like to start with the first album, Electric Matthew, and unlock album covers through gameplay. The Live After Death Eddie would be great. Hell... all of them would!
-
I play to win. Events are irrelevant. Resistance is futile.

Of course not, but come on.. relax a little once in a while. Besides, you get more out of having nice long chases, and going for 8 hooks. At least that is what I am going for when playing killer during the event.. Unless people don't bring cakes ;) Then it is no mercy
That's what YOU do.
-
I main killer. If we ever meet you won't get that from me.
-
I was hoping the Iron Maiden rumors were true. Killing with Eddie to Maiden tracks? That's not a game, that's a legit pastime. 😁

Most games introduce new modes or weekends with new modes to avoid that in 7 years dbd hasn’t once done that
I've only been here for a few months now. I guess, lucky for me, I don't have that experience.
-
Any game will get stale after a while.
-
Unless I'm running endgame perks I always open the gates when 5 gens are done.

I honestly think it will probably increase the amount hsrd tunnelling in the game. If you basically remove hook camping then you're going to have a lot of killers struggling to win games because they're so used to proxy camping and they will all jump on hard tunnelling even harder because they're struggling to secure downs & kills.
Hard tunnelling on 4/5 gens and proxy camping really is just a skill issue that goes away with time. The problem is that people can easily inflate their MMR using those methods and are probably playing way above their skill level so they use these tactics because it's the only way they know how to win at higher MMR brackets. Unfortunately MMR sucks and most people will experience these types of players at one time or another.
I keep seeing people throwing about that tunnelling is the only way to win in DBD which is total nonsense. If you want to get better at killer and play in a fair way that you actually get respect & GGs in end game chat then start running information & aura perks and learn how to build pressure. Not only will it make you a better killer it's the most fun way to play the game because almost every game is different and it completely removes your reliance on using toxic style gameplay & running meta gen regression perks.
Who cares about respect and ggs in the end game chat? I don't care what any survivor thinks of me as a killer.

Its insane it doesnt Matter how fast ur chases when Survivors doing Gens u are going to lose whit just 1k because the Gens are way to fast
i hv so many Game where i end a chase in like 20s and still just get 1k at the end because the Gen speed is to fast if u are not Blight or Nurse ( and maybe Spirit or Wesker ) u cant hold the Gens because of the awful Map Design
Map Design is the biggest Problem of the Game but since it is impossible to Balance all Maps they need to do something about Gens
How to fix Gen Speed
- Nerf Toolboxes Gen Progression
- Nerf Prove Thyself
- maybe make a weaker Version of Corrupted Basekit
- Buff Base Gen Regression
- nerf MFT ( it doesnt do something about Gen Speed but it extend a Chase way to long u can hold a M1 Killer 4 ever on a Strong loop )
Plz BHVR do something against Gen Speed
U nerfed the best Gen Regression Perk because the Gen kicking Meta was unfun but didnt nerf the Gen Speed, the Healing nerf was a good Idea because it would have give Killer way much more time but sadly the nerf got reverted and Killers didnt got anything
im watching a German Streamer who plays in a 4 SwF Group and they alway escabe where the Killers just have like 4 Hooks or just 1k is this how the Game should be in High Rank ?
Wow. People still use ur, u, etc huh.

As a Wraith player, one add on I've really come to appreciate is his Iri All Seeing. It's all the info I need on where I should be pressuring gens, and pair it with his purple Shadow Dance addon.
For perks I run Brutal, Pop, Bam, and then swap between Sloppy, Jolt, or Pain Res. As long as you can get downs quickly you can usually keep gens speeds at bay.
My typical wraith perks are lethal persuer, nowhere to hide, (jolt|discordance), (lightborn|something else).
I don't have the clown to P1 yet.

Pop was always Freddy's best perk (And BBQ) before the nerf. Now that it has been buffed again I believe this to be true again. My Freddy build is Brutal, Pop, and Sloppy along with any of the following:
Thrilling tremors, BBQ, Discordance, Surveillance/COB, Enduring, Spirit Fury, Jolt.
I'm working on the clown too. All of them really. Almost finished with the legion.
-
I'd say my games, killer only, are 1 farm out of 10 games. I was also surprised at the amount of surv dcs when I did this so I don't do it as much anymore. I did have a fun farm game today with all four survivors though as the wraith.
-
I've noticed that when I bring a cake the survivors assume that I want to play for event points or whatever. Do survivor players expect killers to do this? Anyway, the one in my face nodding her head up and down got an axe in the face.

If you're playing m1 killers then sadly you're in for a struggle no matter what. It's not hopeless by any means, but it is just going to be harder consistently.
Wraith's pretty good, his speed and stealth can help with gen patrolling and keeping pressure up, but you're gonna have to commit to getting better at spreading your attention via hit and run. Gen regression across the board is just worse now, but you can still make use of it pretty well if you can keep pressure. Anti-heal perks would help as well to get players focused on burning up time healing rather than just staying on gens. It won't help against people who are confident in or actively seeking to play injured, but should be more helpful to you than not at all.
I don't really know anything about Knight other than he can hold a mean 3 gen.
I play Ghostface like a tiny Myers so I don't have advice that work for that.
For Fredboi I would say get perks info perks like discordance and surveillance so you can teleport to gens being actively worked on and push folks off of them and start chases.
Working on unlocking the legion now.

Have to say, that was not clear from your previous explanations.
That just seems like poor luck, though. Again, to reduce the pool of perks that can appear in your webs, I’d recommend P3’ing other killers. That way you won’t need to slog through all their perks to get what you actually want. Or at least, not as much.
Also, every character starts out with their own teachables at tier 1 (yellow), so they wouldn’t appear as yellow in their webs anyway.
Admittedly I'm not good at explaining things to people.
I get what you're saying. It's just odd that the greens haven't shown up at all.
-
They haven't shown up in the BW at all. On my knight I get greens and purples from my other killers, but none of his.
-
Let me clarify for anyone who thinks I'm too stupid to know how to use the bloodweb. THEY HAVEN"T SHOWN UP!

Got sick of playing so many miserable games as killer vs constant gen rush or stun/blind/boilsabo spam, tired of feeling like I could never catch up in chase without playing a movement based killer and tired of constantly watching survivors DC every time I almost kill them.
So I decided to sink 35 levels worth of BP into Meg and ended up with purple versions of Sprint Burst, Spine Chill, Hope and Adrenaline, ended up playing about 20 games today.
Overall the last two perks have either been worthless because we never make it to endgame or absolutely gamebreaking because we do.
So many games ended in the first 90 seconds either because someone randomly DC'd or suicided on hook, seriously the behavior on display was an embarrassment.
Almost all of my losses could be attributed to either:
- My team being incompetent or self sabotaging.
- My own incompetence or self sabotage
There were only a few instances where I generally felt like I was cheated either by the game, the netcode or some other unknown issue, and these were pretty rare. Out of 20 or so games here is the short list of things I found cheap/bothersome
- Freddy breaking two pallets in a row, I assume spirit fury is the first but I don't know what caused the second, either way it didn't feel very good to basically do nothing wrong with the resources at my disposal and still die for it.
- Instadowns/instakills. Tombstone myers needs to go away, condemn sadako is no better, and I swear I got double hit by ghostface and myers without exposure and I'm not sure how. These just never feel good, at least if it were a hillbilly or even an oni I could respect the amount of skill it takes to pilot properly but the rest just irritate me.
- Getting grabbed off a ledge by stealthed sadako when I vaulted before she was even close, netcode issue probably but boy that felt awful.
- I kept getting popped after sprint burst, like rapidly, way faster than I can ever manage as a killer, by basic m1 hits and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Besides that the game felt fair 99% of the time, though not always very fun. I've been saying genrush or die is not a very interesting gameplay dynamic and playing survivor just further confirms it.
Survivors really need more to do than just generators, but in order for that to happen games need to take longer and survivors need some form of intervention to stop huge snowballs, but most importantly they need to stop being entitled little bitches who DC or suicide at the first opportunity because THAT is what is ruining most of their games.
I don't get how you're a killer main but don't know how Freddy can break two pallets in a row. If the second pallet didn't stun him then it was a fake one. Also, you only see the fake ones if you're injured.
Spirit fury, his fake pallets, or even the dredge perk (the name escapes me).
-
Not me. I don't face camp. I'll tunnel if the game isn't going my way though.

It's 1 kill average for non-sweaty killers who are below S tier. Don't be surprised about it. That's what killer experience is about right now.
Currently the entire sense of balance is around you getting either complete potatoes or hardcore diehards. Rarely a mix of both. So one game you will win unless you refuse to and another one you will lose regardless of what you do. You can try to resist this but unless you play only same S tier killer with S tier addons on best maps for that killer - 50% hellhole shall be your home.
This is the trend and goal of devs which they have successfully achieved for majority of players.
Non sweaty lmao
I love it!

Funny enough, 8 hooks without a kill is usually harder than a snowball.

I'm curious to know what actually causes it.

I remember having had a similar glitch a few months back on a couple of games, once on a pallet stun and once grabbing a survivor from a gen. On the pallet stun one, I got DC'd after being frozen a bit, and on the gen grab after about 15s of being frozen it had ended with the survivor being DC'd. Both times it happened had been with Nemesis.
I don't think it's a cheat, I think it's more of an unlucky glitch that might have something to either your connection or theirs !
I tend to agree with you.

I really wanted to play this weekend because of the Blood Hunt. I have 3 killers let to get to P3 and they are at P1 already. With the x2 BPs I figured it would be a breeze to get it done. Every time I turned the game on I sat there and thought "Nah" and turned it back off.
Didn't help I had TCM to distract me too.

You're missing the point. I'm not talking about balance, I'm talking about theme - which are two totally different discussions that people conflate. The survivors feeling like they have to rush is a good game.
Honestly, if I was entitled as a survivor, I'd be asking for the opposite. Imagine a game where survivors didn't feel like they had to rush. That loops were so strong and the killer so weak that touching gens wasn't a priority. Killers can complain about gen rush, and some things like BNPs should be removed, but I'm not sure they realize what balance changes would have to be made to make non-gen rush strategies a thing.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3441247#Comment_3441247
You can do gens pretty well soloq, but there is no way you can believe that a soloq can accomplish gens with the same organization/speed as a SWF.
Of course SWFs can gen rush faster. However, the way you worded it made it sound as if gen rushing was rubbish in solo queue.
-
Oh yeah... no.
1: Only SWFs can really gen rush to maximum ability
-
"4: The survivors being in a rush fit the games theme. In a horror movie the normal characters are trying to get out as quickly as possible."
And there it is. Survivor entitlement wide open for all to see. Doesn't even try to hide it.

That is the most extreme option 2 hooking everyone not one I mentioned. There are many options in between tunneling at 5 gens and hooking everyone twice. Spreading some hooks can mean 5 hooks before first kill and it's lot more consistent strat than just tunneling one survivor and ignoring everyone else completely. It allows time to identifyi possible weak link and you don't put all your cards on one target. Both sides definetely can have more enjoyable game that way. Spreading some hooks should be encouraged by devs and rewarded.
Did you miss the part where I said I don't tunnel without a reason?

You ruin someone's game not something to celebrate for me. Gens don't have feelings and losing one gen is not big deal but rushing multiple of them ruins killer game so in that way they can be same. But that was not point of my answer survivors has nothing else to do than gens. Killer has multiple options and those other options should be encouraged. Spreading hook progress the objective just slower than tunneling usually. But doing gen only 50% does not as killer can take all that progress away.
My goal is not to ruin someone's game. My goal is to win. Don't come to me with your "two hooks on everyone before a kill" crap.
