Mikaela, because she is a witch and I dabble.

I just used map offerings like asylum, saloon and ormond to get that done.
I thought you meant the Leary psych hospital at first, and was like, "How does that work?" Fall from a great height challenges are tough. I can only seem to do them when I'm not trying to.

As the Nemesis, pay attention to your zombie friends. They may help you find survivors.
(This may be a "no duh" type statement, but took me a minute to figure out)
-
I hate that you got me on this. I was actually pretty excited except for the timer on the exit gates. Cause I need time to crawl you know.
-
Whoa...thank you.

I think as toxicity as harassment, and I consider constant teabagging and clicky click as harassment.

I often wonder that same exact thing. Like I think, "Did your mom raise you to be such a jerk?"

As a Resident Evil fan, I enjoy the map. But I also understand, and feel some of the hate. Once I learned how to get to the exits I liked it a lot more.

If you don't mind me asking - why?
What is it about the map you like?
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but this is like hearing someone say they enjoy the occasional cat food pizza.

Midwich?
When I first started, I struggled.
You just need to know the layout.
It's basically a big square. At two corners (diagonally) there are stairs. At the other two there are breakable walls to open passages up and down. There is a drop into the main square and a drop into the 'red room' on the upper floors.
As survivor, avoid running into the classrooms unless you know there is a safe vault or pallet in there. Don't do all the gens on one level first, this makes it very easy for me to pressure the other one. The central square is excellent for hiding and the red room is a decently strong loop if you have to break chase.
Midwich, yes. The layout confuses the hell out of me. Every time I try to go find the gates I can't find my way out of the building. I always end up in another classroom. And then as a killer of course I can't find anybody. The other day, as Nemesis, I got so frustrated that I went to punch the wall in the central area and hit a survivor I didn't know was squatting there because it was too dark to see.
-
Um...my least favorite, by far, most confusing, too-dark too see, impossible to-find-your-way-around map is the Silent Hill map. LOATH it.

Blessing a hex is not worth the time investment in this situation. But blessing a dull would more likely result in a net positive as you would also get your recovery to 90 while they do it and then get a quick heal after pick up (assuming coh or possibly even new boon perk in The near future). Getting a hex totem cleansed is also pretty decent in this situation as it will relieve the team of whatever the hex was while you recovered on the ground.
Picking up would alert thr killer that there are possibly 2 people over in the area anyways. So if the bones be glowing they must be going before the pick up :)
I wish I understood lol. I'll just take your word for it.

If it glows it goes. If it's dull and they are not blessing it then yeah that's kinda dumb that they would cleanse it over the pick up.
See edited above comment.

Depends on the totem.
How? I had a teammate literally almost let me bleed-out one time while he blesses a hex totem, which by the way, called the killer over. Another time, a teammate also decided to bless the totem before helping me and I just didn't understand why that was more important than helping your dying teammate?

-Stay away from the generators getting worked on and away from the hook
-You have massive sprint burst from getting injured that can take you from across the map depending on size
= win.
Wait - if there's not three people already on a generator I always stay to help...why is this frowned upon?
-
As a killer, I never looked up when I ran.
-
My killer just gave me the hatch after all three of my teammates disconnected, so maybe then?

Fnaf is literally brought up constantly. It's not coming
I just got here, sir. I wasn't aware it was a "trigger" word.
-
Good point. If people who are disconnected beyond their control can get a ban penalty, it seems fair to have one for something as deliberate as suicide as well. Too bad it wouldn't work.
-
I didn't know crows could give away your location if you stood/crouched in the same place for a long time.
I also could not figure out how to do skill checks on generators. It took my nine-year old cousin to point out to me that there was an "LB" in the middle of the skill check zone and that you had to hold on to "RB" as you hit "LB." Before that, so many of my teammates had signaled me to go away and I would put myself into what I called "the locker of shame" for a time-out.

It means they send a bunch of bots to make thousands of requests to your router, ultimately overwhelming it and slowing your internet down. a lot. I mean like 2 frames if your lucky.
And that assumes you can get in the game at all.
Oh okay. Thank you for explaining that to me.

Teabagging,

Not bored, annoyed. At jerks, mostly.

What does that mean actually? Can they kick you out of games?

As Survivor I drop my item at the exit gate as a sign of respect, or if I feel bad because it was a baby killer that got abused (i.e outplayed) during the entire match.
As Killer, I accept the item of the last survivor as a thank you. I usually let the last survivor escape. At my skill level, if I'm getting a 4k it's because they were total noobs, or the messed up/snowballed really bad.
I had no idea this was even a thing. The more you know.
-
On a slightly similar note, as a killer, do you let survivors finish opening chests before you hit them?
-
Never mind it! Had to break my no-tunneling rule a bit though. Felt like an #########.

I can't seem to complete a challenge when it counts. When I don't have the challenge selected, I can get iridescent emblems all day long. With it selected, "What's an iridescent emblem?"
BTW, any tips on getting iridescent emblems? ;P

As killer, probably getting 2 end game timer collapse hook sacrifices in one trial, believe that took a while. Hillbillys' chainsaw down two survivors within a minute, chainsaw down a number of times in one trial. Plague's dark devotion challenge.
As survivor, any blind challenges for me, i have to resort to flashbang. Being the last one to escape a Trial while the 3 other survivors leave (No one leaves the gates till the last possible second i find or they die to killer beforehand. Elodie's power Struggle challenge.
Ugh, I haven't done any of these and I'm dreading all of them. I've only had one successful hit with Hillbilly's chainsaw, and have never even played the Plague. As far as the blind challenges go, that's also a hard no for me as I've never successfully blinded a killer. Me and flashlights just don't fit together. Also, I hate being the last to leave because if I'm sticking around I feel like I'm taunting the kill and I'm not trying to give off that impression.

The Game offerings are excellent for stunning (and it's also brilliant for the 'hide in the killer's terror radius' ones). But yes, killers are starting to learn how to bait/force pallet drops much more consistently now. Some of these challenges may need a tweak. Anything that requires your opponent to do something specific will generally be really frustrating.
I haven't seen it for a while, but there was one that required you (if I recall) to repair 4 generators in the same trial. As in, you had to finish off all 4 yourself. That was just silly, and I avoided it.
The 'hook 4 survivors in the basement' is very difficult (the hardest part is doing it without someone DCing...took me ages), as is (oddly) the ones that require you to kick the same generator multiple times in the same trial.
YES I just finished the four generator one this morning actually. It was tough, but I did it. (I actually did it twice because the first time I did it was without the perk equipped, oops.)

Perform co-operative actions. I cannot do those for the life of me, no matter how I play or what perks I use. I absolutely despise these challenges and they're genuinely some of the worst ones they make.
Not as bad as Heroic Virtue, but it's close.
For those, I use the perk where within a certain distance they can see the aura of the generator you are working on and that usually gets them over there and does the trick!

Why this game ban me after i dc from a couple of swf that were teabaging me and not unhooking me. And the killer just watch them and give them the exit gate.
I am the toxic in that situation? And other thing is it hard or difficult to have a match history?
Just wait until the 24-hour bans start.
@VikingDragonXii said:
Well I got my first DC penalty yesterday but I had no choice but to DC my game froze and has to force close the game. When I opened I the game back up 5 min ban.
I understand punishing the ones who DC just to quit but what about people like me who had technical issues that forces one to close the game down. It's not a fair system, personally needs to be removed or reworked. It's not helping anyone who is getting penalties that they have no control of.
This. I get told all the time that I shouldn't even play DBD because I sometimes have technical issues. I shouldn't enjoy my favorite game because there is a slight chance it might glitch. And because of the glitch (or in my case, the dc) I get banned. I didn't cheat, I didn't hack, I did nothing toxic. What happened was out of my control and yet I'm paying quite a heft fine and most people on here AGREE with that fine. It blows my mind.

DBD addict here as well.

As a newb, I'd beat the ever-living ######### out of a survivor a hook if they pissed me off.
-
The problem with me personally, is the NAT settings. Mine are too strict. That's what get's me disconnected. I can play the game fine. I played all day and night yesterday no problem. I've played all morning today, no problem. I love this game. I don't want to have to give it up because there's the smallest chance I may get disconnected, I just feel that getting a 24-hour ban for these disconnections is ridiculous.

I stood on the roof of the Thompson House and lobbed blades at survivors who were trying to work on one of the 3 gens I had LOS on. You could try corn maps in general because they have long stretches without blocking obstacles (though you can't see worth beans through them...)
Thank you for the tip. I will try this.

From killer perspective:
- Gen regression is often less powerful than the pressure caused by hooking someone and chasing someone else.
- Learn what the difference between a 'safe' and 'unsafe' pallet is - mindgame the unsafe ones and break the safe ones ASAP.
- If you see a .TTV in the lobby, dodge.
- Don't try to play games of attrition against booners.
- Don't walk through paths with a pallet while carrying someone.
- Always look at a wall when you pick someone up.
- Always try to eliminate 1 player as early as possible.
- Don't overcommit to chases unless you are going to force a lot of pallet drops.
- On some maps, it's best to establish a 'zone' of maybe 4 gens and patrol them rather than trying to keep all the gens.
- On killers without anti-loop/traversal skills, there are still some pseudo-infinites in the game. Some can be made manageable with breakable walls (Badham houses) and some can't (Haddonfield).
- Always try to approach gens at an oblique angle in order not to set off Spinechill.
- Don't be afraid to slug if you can get another down easily.
- Learn what perks survivors have baseline and anticipate them.
- Sometimes, getting up onto a hill/structure can allow you to find your next chase easier than patrolling.
- If you get an instant queue into a group with fancy skins, dodge.
- Your 'desired' kill rate is two survivors per game. Anything else is gravy. You won't always be able to 4k.
From survivor perspective:
- Don't immediately go for the unhook unless you know where the killer is.
- If someone else is being chased, do gens.
- Flashlights are 4/5 times pretty useless against killers that know how to handle them.
- It's often better to just stay injured and do gens than slowly healing with self-care.
- Don't teabag or flicky flicky unless you want to be camped out.
- Don't abuse pseudo-infinites unless you want the killer to AFK.
- Always have an escape plan from wherever you are.
- Try to guess what perks the killer is running. If there is a 'blank' spot, anticipate NOED. Two blank spots often means NOED+NWO.
- Always pre-drop unsafe pallets.
- Try to game safe pallets to buy time.
What is the difference between a safe and unsafe pallet?
What does ttv mean?
-
You can unset the traps as survivors.
