DC penalty is cool and all, but suicide penalty when?

Seriously, there's no real point in a DC penalty on the player to discourage such behavior when they can just kill themselves first hook and throw the game anyway. I've noticed a constant trend of this, survivors go down too fast on their first chase, go against a killer they don't like, etc, and just immediately burn their three chances and let the second phase take them ASAP.

It's really infuriating to not even have a chance because of selfish survivors just any%'ing their sacrifice on the first hook.

I mean, I only ever do that when real life gets in the way.

You can’t force people to try. If there’s a “suicide penalty” (not sure how this would be validated or enforced) then people will just go AFK

I guess, yeah. It's just so obnoxious to have a game thrown away because one dude got mad on your team.

  • to be fair how can you tell if it's a suicide or not sometimes the person might miss a button and fail the struggle skillchecks

  • Good point. If people who are disconnected beyond their control can get a ban penalty, it seems fair to have one for something as deliberate as suicide as well. Too bad it wouldn't work.

Or they are left on a hook for far too long while the others are across the map 3 teaming a generator. Happens more than you might think.

  • There's not much to be done against people when they decide they don't want to play the rest of the game.

I've just finished a match with a player that was so mad he got hooked first that he decided to troll the rest of the team. We were in The Game map against a Nurse, he got hooked and tried to kill himself on-hook but someone saved him, so he decided the best thing to do was to run around the map dropping every pallet available... just because. He was downed again and right before the killer picked him up he DC'd.
